Internet browsing works OK, but not e-mail?

We have an iMac G4 with DSL internet via AT&T/Yahoo, using a 2wire modem. Just bought a new iMac and a D-Link router. The G4 is connected to the router and the modem, set up as required. Wireless service to the new computer is great and we can browse the internet on the G4 OK. The problem: although we're usually able to access our e-mail account (AT&T/Yahoo) on the G4, we're rarely able to get past the home page. Pages just won't load and the effort "times out" within a few minutes. Without the router, e-mail account access is fine; with it - nothing but waiting without success. Our browser is Firefox, but I also tried using Internet Explorer and had the same problem. Our modem has only 1 ethernet port. We're considering buying a new modem with 4 ports; would then connect the router to one and the G4 to another (thus removing the router from the "chain" leading to the G4). Don't know if this would work, but we're out of ideas. I'm also considering buying a splitter to create two ethernet ports (one for G4 and one for the router) from the modem, but I read that's not a smart idea. We've consulted with AT&T (to deal with the service and the modem), D-Link, and our Apple dealer, to no avail. They can't discover any reason for this problem and find it very odd. Any ideas? My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite.

CMR is Customer Master record , because we need to maintain the e-mail address in the customer master record (CMR) and that CMR e-mail address only it has to pick when you are sending the e-mail output to the customer
If you have maintained the condition record then Check in the condition record , VV12 wheather the partner function is SP (sold to party) or some other partner function is coming .Also check in t.code SOST E-mail queue which partner function is coming . Because If partner function is not coming then there is a chance of sending a E-mail to a dummy E-mail address also .
Kindly check the configuration you have done again. and also integrate with the ABAP'er so that he will let you know the problem

Can send but not get mail....

This is strange - my mailserver has imap/ssl/password. Before 3.0 upgrade all worked fine (hm... except a couple of days when I just got my Iphone where actualle the very same problem showed up, but suddenly started to work).
So, I can connect to server and send mail. But I can't connect to server to read/fetch mail (connection failed message).
I've exact same configuration on my macbook - working like a charm. Tested to remove account on Iphone and recreate, resync, you name it. Still not possible to read, only send.
Why???

Anyone with any ideas are welcome....
Now I dropped all mail accounts on the phone and resynched with iTunes to recreate all mail accounts. Still - one of the accounts will not work. Possible to send but not read mail. And it is working on the mac.

Occasionally Firefox 3.6.12 won't display photos on certain sites. Reloading works sometime but not alwasys.

At times on auction some sites such as ebay, (and others), photos won't display. If I press the reload button there's a chance the photo will display. If reload doesn't work the first time, pressing it 3 or 4 times may work but not always. Closing the site then re-opening works sometimes but not always. Annoying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

one can only connect 1 device at the time and just by waking up sometimes a headset connects to a device

Constant Error; Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working. But NOT running Trusteer Rapport.

I am experiancing this unbelieveably annoying and constant Flash error; Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working.
But NOT running Trusteer Rapport, I never have, and it's not even installed on my computer. So what's causing this?

There were a couple AntiVirus/AntiMalware products that keep coming up, but I haven't validated that in the lab and don't want to call anyone out publicly without reporting the issue to them first.  If you could tell me what antivirus/antimalware products and versions you have installed, that would be helpful.
So, third party stuff aside, I'd like to know more about the crashes your seeing:
1.) Please provide links to the Firefox crash reports. If you have multiples, the first few would be great.
     In Firefox, type about:crashes in the address bar
     If the link starts with "bp...", it's already been submitted -- just right-click on it and copy the link, and paste it into the reply here.
     If not, click it to submit it, and copy the subsequent link.
2.) In firefox, type about:support
     Just copy and paste the output into the reply.
3.) In Firefox, type about:plugins
     Please copy and paste the output into the reply
4.) Please provide the output of the DirectX Diagnostic Utility
     Click Start > type "dxdiag" [enter]
     Click Save All Information
     Copy the output of the file into the reply, or use Adobe SendNow/DropBox/PasteBin to share the file.
5.) If you can provide an exact URL and step-by-step instructions on repeating the crash (if it's consistent), that would be really helpful. My goal is to build out a configuration that matches yours as closely as possible, reproduce the problem and then debug it.

cffeed caching works locally but not on server

So I got my new Hostek account set up (woohoo!) and I've started uploading some basic files so I can do thinks like validate my code and make sure everything's working. One thing that does not work (but does locally) is my news feed caching.
Pulling in two RSS feeds was seriously slowing down my index page loading, so I stole a trick from Ray Camden on caching the feeds. It works perfectly on my dev machine at home, but doesn't work on my hosted account.
Here's the exact code being used:

I tried wrapping a try/catch around the top section (above the <ul>) and still got nothing for an error message. The page just stops being rendered at that first <ul>.
I'm not sure why it works locally but not on the web server. Any ideas?

Double check to make sure that your same email addresses are set up on both devices in the Messages settings. Also ensure that you have text messaging forwarding turned off if you do not want to receive them on your iPad.

With sparse information you give I would venture that you have not set up the correct Outgoing Mail Server settings in Mail>Preferences>Accounts. Contact your ISP for their set up.

Link to tabbed panel works once, but not again

I have successfully linked from text in one tabbed panel to open another panel on the same page, using SpryURLUtils.js.
