Internet Connect Pop-up error

I keep getting an internet connect error. I'm connecting (as I always have), using the AirPort Extreme. All of a sudden, this message is popping up every so often stating that it cannot connect becuase I haven't entered a phone number.

Yes. The account is there. There's just a verification with password issue. I had to change my password at Godaddy to include caps, special character, etc., and reinstall the account. Then I had to tweet the settings a bit. But think I have it resolved. Thanks.

  • Internet Connect Pop-up Window

Internet Connect has started opening a pop-up window telling me that I am connected to the internet and asking if I want to stay connected when I am in the middle of working on the internet. OF COURSE I WANT TO STAY CONNECTED!!! This will be a disaster if I am downloading an upgrade and away from my computer and it breaks my connection. How do I get this to stop.
    I'm running OS-10.4.9, Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3), and Internet Connect Version 1.4.2 (1.4.2)
    Power Mac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   I'm running Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3), and Internet Connect Version 1.4.2 (1.4.2)

Assuming this is for a DSL connection that uses PPPoE, go to System Preferences > Network.
    At Show, select Built-in Ethernet.
Under the PPPoE tab, select PPPoE Options.
Make the changes as needed under Session Options.
Select OK to save any changes and then Apply Now when existing Network at
    System preferences.

I don't know what might be causing that message. It should have a close box or button; if not, try clicking the message and pressing Command-W.

  • I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my MacBook. Constantly dropping internet connection or message "error connecting to the network" comes up. No wireless connectivity issues with windows 7 laptop or iphone.

I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The last few weeks it has been constantly dropping internet connection, and one of these messages appear on the page: "Safari cannot open this page because the server where this page is located isn't responding" or "Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the internet" comes up. I will check Wifi and I am connected. No wifi connectivity issues with iphone or windows 7 laptop, this doesn't happen with either of those devices. I have unplugged and reset router, cleared cache, still happening. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Software activation Premiere elements: error 1: internet connection not recognized - error 2: failure: "Der eingegebene Antwortcode ist ungültig. Geben Sie ihn erneut ein." This I did for several times. I generated a new "Antwortcode", but the system gave

    computer: Lenovo ideapad Z710
    OS: Windows 8.1
    program: Premiere Elements 12.1

    Dear Mylenium,
    my problem is:
Adobe programs do not recognize an established and working internect connection.
So I used the same computer to get with the given request code ("Anforderungscode") an answer code ("Antwortcode"). But Premiere Elements does not recognize this answer code and tells me, that this answer code is invalid ("ungültig"). So what should I do ?
Everytime I try to repeat this, I get the same request code and the same answer code. Should I wait until the 72h time limit is over to get than a new answer code ?
Anyway, why does Premiere Elements (like Photoshop Elements, too) does not recognize the established internet connection, but is able to recognize that there is for instance an update available ?
    Thanks for help.

  • Internet connection in itunes, error 11333

cant sign into my itunes account because it says I need to check my internet connection but my safari works just fine.  any ideas??? I am a new mac user

Two things can be at work here:
1 - Your internet service is still being disrupted or the local Apple/iTunes service is still being disrupted because of the earthquake; and/or
2 - The iTunes store is experiencing record traffic from holiday sales and there is just a general difficulty in getting connected.
It is probably a good idea if you reset your router and modem (if you haven't done so already).
    Hope this helps,
    Lita

  • Internet Connection Pop-Up

    Hello,
We have DSL and connect to the internet through PPPoE. Every 10 min. or so, this rather annoying dialog box will appear saying something like: "You are still connected to the Internet. Would you like to remain connected." Often, it'll be while we're browsing, so I'm not sure why it's thinking there is inactivity.
Is there any way to make this box go away for good??
    Thanks!

    Yes there is.
Go to System Preferences > Network.
    At Show, select Built-in Ethernet.
Under the PPPoE tab, select PPPoE Options.
Under Session Options, deselect "Prompt every XX minutes to maintain connection".
Select OK to save the changed setting.

  • Why do i keep getting the "internet connection timeout" error message?

i have been upgrading a few standard itunes albums to itunes plus versions through my 3g mobile broadband connection, while not exactly a fast process, it was working fine until i started to get a backlog of 3 or 4 albums which were waiting in a queue to be downloaded, now every time i do the "check for downloads" option i get the "internet connection timed out" error message...this has been going on for 2 days! am i right in suspecting the backlog of albums is too much for my 3g mobile broadband connection? this is really doing my head in, if any of you techies could help me, it'd be much appreciated...?

yes i have recently updated to itunes 8.2.1, but i am starting to think its apple's servers (i tried to download at my brothers house...different computer and connection...same connection timeout error), because it will still let me download an album, but not necessarily all of the tracks. when i questioned itunes customer services about the seemingly hit and miss state of affairs with downloading, they told me to wait 3 weeks before trying to download the tracks that were giving me the grief (2 tracks from an arctic monkeys album)...which kinda indicates they know there is a problem and are trying to fix it, why else would they say wait 3 wks??? they gave me 5 free music tracks too, which is handy.

  • Can I use a Airport Express and a Foscam IP camera without a internet connection?

    Hi All,
I have a Foscam FI8918W IP camera.  I have it working perfectly at home on my local network over wifi with either my Airport Extreme or my Airport Express.
I planned to use this IP cam as a wireless camera for on stage work with bands, monitoring equipment that I can't see during the show utilising the Airport Express, my MBP or iPad.
As I have said, i have everything working very well, until I disconnect the Airport Express from the mains power and remove the CAT5 cable from my modem to the A.E.  When I reconnect the power (but not the internet connection), I get error messages from the IP camera software that the Subnet mask settings are incorrect.
I cannot get the camera to work until I reconnect the internet connection.  After a few moments, the issue's are resolved and everything starts working again and I can view the camera's video feed from an i.p. address.
Question is: Is there a way to set up the A.E. so that it doesn't require a internet connection?
I will not have internet at a lot of venues and need to get this to work just as a stand alone setup.
    Thanks in advance!
    mark

I'm not sure I quite understand. Do you wish to use the AEX to provide a wireless connection for a device that has an Ethernet port but no wireless capability of its own? You wish to use it in place of a wireless card that isn't internally installed? If so, the answer is, "Yes." It will work as a wireless access point. But you must have an extant wireless network because the AEX won't have an Internet connection when used in this way.
If you have an existing wireless network with a wireless router connected to your cable/DSL model or your modem is a wireless router as well, then the AEX may connect to it in bridge mode. Note that AEXs don't always play nice with non-Apple routers. Some work; others don't.

  • Mystery loss of wireless internet connection??

As of last night, I've suddenly lost my internet connection (getting the error message when logging into Safari "could not open ...... because the server could not be found"). I have a standard airport card installed into my G4 Imac (no basestation) and I'm running a wireless connection to a Netgear modem which is shared with another computer in my flat. I havent made any changes as far as i'm aware although i suspiciously lost the connection shortly after using Limewire for a brief period. I'm guessing theres some settings that need to be fiddled with in the network or sharing menus within the system prefs. I'm very concerned as i dont really know any mac-friendly people that would be able to physically take a look at the problem.
When it comes to the technical side of computers, I'm not the best so i'm hoping someone can assist me on this. I'm corncerned about altering settings without assistance incase i deepen the problem. Please help!!!

Another user reported that his connection problem was solved when he set his Linksys router to b mode only.

  • I have been using iTunes for years to connect to radio and just recently tried to get on and sign pops up stating " A error occurred while contracting the radio tuning service. Check your internet connection or try again later "  I do but the same respons

I have been using iTunes for years to connect to the radio and just recently tried to tune in and an error sign pops up stating " A error occurred while contracting the radio tunning service. Check your internet connection or try again later." There's no problrm with my internet service so what's up?

You are probably using an old version of iTunes with which the stream link service seems to have stopped working for many users of older iTunes.  No, Apple makes no comment about this kind of thing.  It may reappear, it may not (it has been dead for over a week now).  Your solution is to upgrade the operating system version on your computer from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8 so you can run a newer iTunes, or live without.  You can still open streams if you can get the URL, and you can then save them as playlist items.

  • FF not connecting to web- This "Network Connections" message pops up: Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. Any ideas?

About a month ago I could no longer connect to the internet on our PC. Every time I clicked on the Firefox icon the Netscape sign-on window would pop up. I would try to close it but it would pop up over and over again. If I tried to close it a dozen or so times eventually Firefox would open up but it would never connect. Just today I moved my Netscape file to the recycle bin. No longer does the Netscape sign-on window pop up but following Network Connection error message pops up: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection".. This error window behaves the same way the Netscape sign-on window used to behave. Every time I click to close it it pops open again. After numerous clicks Firefox opens up but it never connects.

Do you have this error message on a Mac computer or on a Windows computer?
I've only seen this error mentioned on a Windows computer.

  • Itunes internet connection error

When I try to install ITunes, an error pops up saying, "We're unable to connect to the download server. It seems that you internet connection is down or firewalled." I checked my internet, and its fine. This usually happens with every program I try to install.

+I have dial up so i don’t know if this might be causing the problem, is there anyway to fix this?+
Sounds like the dial=up connection is dropping. My advice is to get it from a friend's house that has high speed internet. Put the iTunes Setup.exe file on a USB memory stick, take it to your PC and drag it to the desktop. Then run the install.

  • NETWORK ERROR.  PLEASE CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN

I've been getting this message when I try and play some
games...Flash 9.0.115 is required to view this content. Your
current version is 9.0.47. Please download the latest Flash Player.
But every time and try and download it I get this error
message NETWORK ERROR. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION AND
    TRY AGAIN.
I've tried changing settings but nothings working, can anyone
    please help me

I SOLVED IT!!!!! LATEST FLASH IS INSTALLED!!!!
    Here's what I did:
Read the information in the service note about the ridiculously sensitive download manager (DM)
    ID:
    kb400530
It gives instructions about internet settings necessary for the DM to work on multiple browsers. I use IE 7. Some were really non-obvious, like windows need to have no constraints on size, position.  Most have to do with security, Active X settings.
However even after I followed the directions, I got the same error message.
But I'd gotten the general idea of what the DM needed, and went back to my Internet Options, and made a couple of additional changes. I'm not sure which of these was responsible for the success, but I'm resetting them afterward anyway.
For all the settings in which they allowed Prompt or Enable, I chose ENABLE.
I set Enable (vs. Prompt) for Download signed Active X controls (not secure)  - this prompts a security risk bar, which didn't interfere
    I also:
Set ENABLE for Run components not signed with Authenticode
Set ENABLE for Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt
Set DISABLE for Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
Set DISABLE for Automatice Prompting of ActiveX controls
Set  DISABLE for Use Pop-Up Blocker
Set ENABLE for everything in under Scripting section
Anyway, you get the idea.  I was trying to give the poor software every break I could, and it downloaded with no problem.
And then, the acid test.....I tried the site that had crashed because of lack of Flash 10 - and it tna perfectly....
    Take that ADOBE!!!!
I hope something equivalent works for you.
