Internet connection too slow, is there a way to speed up the itouch?
So I can connect to Facetime, but all I see is a picture of a person and then the Itouch freezes and shuts down. I think it is because my internet connection is too slow, because it only doesn't work in my apartment (it works at places with quicker connections).
The question is, is there currently a fix to this problem (I can't be the only one who has it)? It all works, just freezes after connecting and showing the picture of the person I'm talking to then disconnects. Is there a way to make this work?
I'm at college and the only reason I got the 4g from my parents is 'cause they wanted me to help my little bro with homework back home... but if Facetime doesn't work at college then I should sell mine and go with a cheaper, earlier generation. Thanks!

By what type of security I mean, WEP (not preferred), WPA, WPAs. I would go to the support page for you router on the manufacturer's sit to see if an update to the firmware is available. You also have to enter the setup for the router to determine the installed version of the firmware. Not infrequently a firmware update fixes problems since that is one purpose of the updates.

Is there a way to speed up the response time for external hard drives from the dock? I have three external HDs but when I click on the alias in the dock there is always hesitation before it opens. I'm leaning towards the fact that it is just a result of the fact that the speed of the Mac is what it is. But, maybe there is something I can do to speed it up. The drives are plugged via usb directly to the Mac and they have there own power source. The curious thing is that they once were plugged into a large separately powered USB hub and I don't recall a lag like I have now. Any thoughts? Thanks...

Create many pages is too slow, is there a way to format each page, not all?

I configured a Cisco ASA 5505 (Version Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 7.2(3)

Is there a way to speed up the "Java Loading" screen time?
Hi.
I'm having a big problem with that. I'm running the JRE 1.6u3 on Windows XP SP 2, on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 3800+ (2GB of RAM), and the "Java Loading" screen time of web started apps is too high (about 15 seconds when I just restarted the pc, and 10 seconds after the first load... is that right?).
What Web Start do when it is "loading" ? The loading time of a standard client VM is pretty faster (like, uh, 1/4 second?).

HidraliskThe Java Loading splash is only shown untill the Main class of java web start is invoked and can put up the download progress dialog. I don't know why it would be so sow, but this should be improved by the Java Quick Start featurew put in jdk 6u10 (see http://download.java.net/jdk6/)
the bug 6506138 has been escallated and is being vigorously investigated. (it would probably pertain more to the time durring which the download progress window is shown or beyond)

Aperture 3 Loupe-Super slow, is there a way to speed up.
I am not impressed with the new loupe. Same basic loupe, but now images are taking forever to res up and see detail. I want to see detail quick, and do a basic edit for sharpness. It takes so long for images to come with detail, it is painful. I have made sure preferences have been set for my screen size, but wondering if there is a preference I am missing to make this faster. I am working on a macbook pro, and a Mac pro with plenty of ram. Previous version of aperture was way faster. Maybe this is something that will be fixed, but It drives me crazy. I am also usually working from a very small working library, so it may only have 1500-2000 photos in it. The computers are kept pretty clean so that I can maximize speed in working. Any ideas?
thanksI think there are many bugs in Aperture 3 which are probably equipment sensitive. Too many people are having trouble for there to be just minor issues here and there.
The 2.16 Ghz white iMac I am using now is speedy and its only 32 bit capable. The Loupe is instantaneous in movement and focus. Under Aperture 2 the Loupe was a stuck in treacle activity best avoided if possible.
My 3.06 Ghz iMac 64 bit capable is probably faster still - but not by so much. But in Aperture 2 was also less than instantaneous. -
Help - have tried everything to connect my phone to ITunes to restore and it just wont sync - is there any other ways to do this or do I need to send it back to Apple?

Is there any way to speed up the printing from my Mac to my HP LaserJet?
I just bought an HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451dn and it works wonderfully and prints amazing quality but the only problem is it takes a VERY long time for my MacBook Pro to send the data to the printer. It's suppose to be up to 21ppm but I was literally getting 2ppm. Granted it was a rather detailed page I was printing, but 2ppm is still way to slow. Used the generic PCL driver printed way faster but only printed in Black and White.
Specifics
Mac OS X 10.7.5
HP LaserJet Pro 400 M541dn
USB connected (about 12 feet)
Downloaded lastest driver and firmware from HP's website
Tried generic PCL driver, prints waaaaaay faster but only in Black & White.
I download something called GutenPrint but I have no idea how to install. If thats a good option and someone has instructions I would greatly apreciate it.
I'm not a tech wiz, but I consider myself good with computers.

Printing speeds do not include the time it may take to transfer data to the printer. It also doesn't take into account the time it takes for the printer to be prepared to start printing. Color is much slower than B/W.

Is there any way to speed up the task sequence media wizard?
Hi. I'm running SCCM 2007 R2. We mostly deploy our OS builds with USB keys. Our image is approx 7GB so it was taking a long time every time we wanted to create a new key (approx 2 hours). After looking online the solution seemed to be to visit a machine
with a DP and plug in the key directly.
I have the SCCM console on my local PC (Win7 Ultimate) and I've installer a DP on my PC. After some initial problems I got all the packages to update the DP and all looks OK. However I'm running the first key build now and it's been going for over 2 hours.
I can see files been written to the key in windows explorer and the CreateTsMedia.log isn't showing any errors. It's just really slow. Have i missed a step? Is it like this the first time you use a DP?

Are you building the USB key locally to CM12 or remotely? I have always found that building the USB key locally on CM07 site server to be the fastest way to do this.

Is there any way to speed up the chipscope?

I have made a design to test an ADC. The timing report shows that it can runs at 200MHz. But after I added a chipscope part, the frequency became much lower.
Reduce the width and deepth of the chipscope would make it run faster, but I still want to know if there is any way else to make it faster.

Im trying to download the Io6 update but my connection is too slow and the update is too big is there another way to download the update? Any ideas or help and what can i do? The update starts again if it is paused

I have both a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a new Samsung Tab 3. After a recent software upgrade, I was having connectivity issues to wireless routers. The message I got when connecting to a secure wireless network was "Network disabled because Internet connection is slow". I determined that I had no issues with either my phone or tablet on either an unsecure router (WiFi hotspot), or with any older router that broadcast WPA2 personal with either aes OR tkip security. I do have a problem with connecting to any new router that broadcasts BOTH aes and tkip at the same time. When I change the routers under my control to broadcast only aes or tkip, then I can immediately connect both my phone and tablet to the router. There are obviously a lot of routers over which I have no control, so this needs to be fixed. I am pretty sure that there is a problem with the latest Android software upgrade in this regard
I am having the same problem with my Galaxy 3S since the upgrade. Have searched for settings, etc. but haven't found anything I can control. My home network is getting 54.4 down and 5.7 up! Have had this issue nearly everywhere I am connected.
I think it needs a fix - noticed today that Verizon has doubled my DATA for free. May need it if this continues.

Batch exporting give double suffix: filename.jpg.jpg
I can export a single file correctly, but when I export two or more files by command-clicking in iPhoto, the exported files are titled with a duplicate suffix: file.jpg.jpg. The original file(s) is(are) titled file1.jpg, file2.jpg, new.jpg and so on.
