Internet constantly not working, but everything else is?

Hi,
Lately ive been having a strange problem, i have a dell dimenson 4600 desktop pc and connect to the internet using wusb54g wireless router that gets a wireless signal from my roomates room which is no more than 15 feet away. When i reboot it takes over 10 minutes to just connect to it but that isnt that major of an issue as the other things its doing. Sometimes aim and things like that will work and it will say im connected to the wireless network with either a very good or excellent connection. However, when i open my web browser i get a page cannot be displayed error or the site times out to every site. I have both internet explorer and firefox.
It worked fine for over a year and now...dunno whats wrong
Heres what i have tried
Spybot
Adaware
Advanaced System Optimizer
Ewido Antio Spyware
Reinstalling the router software 3 times
Clean installing windows xp and reinstalling all the windows updates and service pack 2
winsockxpfix.exe
ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns
Repairing the connectin by right clicking it in network connections
Unplugging repluggig both routers(sometimes works just for a little while though)
Any ideas? Its really getting me mad.

you will have to do some troubleshooting to see where the problem lies. The next time your web browser doesn't load a page, go to a command prompt (click start go to run type:command) inside the black box type:
ping yahoo.com
you should see some results like this

If it comes back 100% loss then try:
ping 192.168.1.1
this should give you a start.

Guest access on E2500 not working but everything else is fine.

HI.. I did not use the CD to set up, and instead set this router up manually. We are using this router right now as a hotspot only.. and all is good. I can see both new networks and the WIFI laptops are talking no problem. Only issue I have is that guest access is not working - by that I mean it can't get out on the internet. I can see it as available and connect to it. Guest access and SSID broadcast are both enabled obviously.
Is there something special guests have to type into a browser? Or did I need to use the CD? (I read on a google search that cisco connect on the CD must be used?) Any help very much appreciated!

(re your last sentence in your comments below) Just need to understand the process and determine whether or not it is worth it (or maybe I should upgrade the router) but I don't want to change the configs of the network wired router at this time... and need to use the E2500 or facsimile as simply an access point with guest network functionality, Thanks much appreciated.

Youtube sound not working, but everything else is ok

I have an extermely annoying problem with my iMac in that it will not play sound on any Youtube clips.   I have tried all other websites and they are fine. I have googled this and this is what I have done, but still doesn't work.   I have this problem on Safari and Chrome.
removed/reinstalled Flash (did this for internal Chrome, no luck)
checked in Midi the Khz is 44100. even changed it to something else and back again
reset NVRAM
logged in as another user
booted from an external disk with completely clean install
Even reset my router in case it was some wierd networking issue (unlikely, but desperate)
Youtube via browser on my ipad works fine.
I am absolutely baffled and don't know what to do.
Any suggestions?

     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.

Ipod dial not working - but everything else is fine

I tried resetting ipod (menu & center button)thinking this might help - but the dial still isn't working for volume or for scrolling - it just acts like it is dead. any advice?

I keep getting "Unable to connect" for my firefox. It was working yesterday and I turned my computer off. I can get to the web using internet explorer 9. I don't know why my firefox is not working. Everything else is working. HELP....

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Itunes store does not load but everything else works

I have a problem opening the store. When I click on the store the access bar goes about half way and stops. Then after 60 seconds it disappears and the store is not displayed. It is a blank window. No error messages appear. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but this did not work. I have turned off my firewall and this does not work. I am using the latest version of iTunes.
The computer is a Vista 64bit OS. I have another computer that has no problems on the same network so there are no networking issues. It is just this one computer. This did happen once before and I reinstalled at that time which resolved the issue. Now it seems permanently broken. I even reviwed the computer event messages and there are no clues there.
Any ideas? Any log files I can locate and review?

App Store not loading but everything else is...

The App Store on my iPad running iOS 6 is not loading... It doesn't crash it just sits there and loads. Everything else is working and I have already tried turning it off and back on. Any ideas?

Ok Applecare Senior (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss. They are actually going to be calling me tomorrow to follow up on the issue. I will let everyone know if I hear more!

Contacts not syncing, but everything else does

hmm. after the initial setup of my iphone4 all my contacts on my mac were copied over. however, now my contact don't sync at all (either way), but my cal and everything else does sync. In itunes i have the sync address book contacts button selected and also made sure it sync all All Contacts.
Is there something in my Address Book on my mac i need to authorize the sync?

I have a very similar problem. The first time I plugged iPhone 4 in with USB, it copied only a handful of "contacts" that I previously added via iChat on the MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.4), and ignored hundreds of real contacts that I needed on the phone. Earlier than this, iPhone took a contact from LDAP; at that point, I checked on MacBook. That contact was removed from LDAP for unknown reasons, even though it remained on iPhone.
Then, I tried and tried and tried. Nothing happened - at least nothing appeared to happen. At the same time, I had been trying to get MacBook to sync contacts with gMail and other Google apps with no luck. However many times I tried to configure and reconfigure gMail sync, a ring icon appeared for a brief period of time but nothing would happen on the Google side. Some time after I stopped trying, however, the bunch of "Contacts from My MAC" magically appeared on iPhone, as well as in Google. The contact that iPhone previously got from LDAP now disappeared at this point.
But then, when I started to make changes, sync did not appear to happen. Is there a preset timer for sync?

Ipod internet will not work. but my computer and other devices work

It shows that i am connected to the internet, yet it wont load any sites. It will load google. But when i go to click on a site, it'll either pop up as safari cannot open because your ipod touch isnt connected to the internet, or a server issue. Every now and then it will work, but then after a minute it will just go back to its old ways.
I've tried reconnecting and connecting the wifi on the ipod
I tried to reset network settings.
I've turned my modem on and off.
Again, it may only work for a couple minutes or so, but then itll just go back to its old ways.
My laptop, phone, and other stuff works on the wifi, I am only having the problem with the ipod.
Facebook and instagram app works also. but safari isnt

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

DNS is wrong on vista pc so Internet does not work but works with iMac iPad PS3 using time capsule 1355...can not change settings on the pc vista..

I Hooked up time capsule ..set all the passwords. Works with iMac and iPad and PS3 . But vista say it needs to reset adapters. But does not work..show dlink router setting even though dlink is not connected. And has a different code...help

Is Vista computer running wireless or ethernet?
Is it plugged directly into the TC? If it is possible and you are running wireless please do plug it by ethernet directly into the TC to test.
Wireless is known problematic on Vista.. has always been so.
Is IP statically set on the vista computer??

Google home page will not display but everything else works (bookmarks,etc)

When I start FF, the page says server was reset before loading complete, yet my other system does just fine with same version of FF.
Just started last night and haven't gone to malicious website as they are blocked by Avast well and no emails came in.
Even reinstalled FF.

FYI for everyone. Found that if your homepage does not come up and you get "Server reset while page was loading" and can't get it to change, then disable all plugins and restart Firefox. Home page should come up.
Now Firefox comes up fine. Will check other issue on cookies not deleting.

Iphone 3gs- phone quit working, but everything else works, put sim card in another phone and works fine, need help

iphone 3gs can not talk on or recieve calls, but every thing works, apps., music, internet, ect.. put sim card in another phone and able to call and recieve calls, what happened.

Reset phone - press both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears in 10-15 seconds.

My iPhone phone function does not work. Everything else does. ?

I shut my phone off for a meeting at 4 today and an hour later when I turned it back on everything is working - except the actual phone function. Same goes at home. iPhone talks to home network for all aps but cannot make or recieve actual phone calls. I do not want to reset as I don't have a backup of my contacts from the contacts app. Phone is in endless seach mode, (Verizon Wireless) ???

Curve 8520 screen isn't working, but everything else is.

All night my curve has been making the noise when you put the charger inside and pull it out.
I woke up this morning and the screen was white, but the led was still working which meant i had a text.
I pressed jut about everything and the screen wasn't changing so I took the battery out for 30 seconds, put it back in, waited for the device to re-boot and it turned on, the keyboard lit up, the LED was working and it made the noise when it was turned on.
I tried this process again but with the charger plugged in and it still wasn't working.
If anyone knows how to resolve this it would be a great help
