Internet error when usinig apple configurator

I am trying to run configurator on an iPad 3, that we had to reset to factory settings, & then restored through Itunes.
It keeps giving me the following error message: Internet error; othe certificate for this server is invalid. You might be conecting to server that is pretending tonbe " phobos.apple.com" which could put your confidential information at risk.
It never finishes and fails when running prepare in configurator.
Using a macbook pro 12" mid 2012 with OSX 10.8.2 on it. Apple configurator 1.2.1
Any ideas how to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Dwight.

UPDATE #1:
Have determined the issue lies with configurator.
I connected an iPad that had never been configured, & had just came back from being repaired.
It still gives the same internet error message, also whe you try to open a topic in help ( web support) it says the page cannot be opened, but you can still browse the web with safari on the macbook.

    Hey there!
    I've spent the best part of the day unpicking this huge mess from the upgrade I completed last night - what a nightmare. I followed a tonne of advice - [actaully, this link was really helpful to me]: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/msvcr80-dll-not-found-missing -error.htm however, I still could not fix the **** thing - and that was following basically a day of uninstalling, installing etc.
    In the end - I completed a system restore taking my computer back about five days, and just ignoring the new upgrade with itunes until they can get this fixed.
    I hope that this might work for you and anyone else reading this. It nearly drove me to drink [!]. I seemed to get past one error message and have it replaced by another - so the system restore was basically the last resort.
    Good luck - !

  • Apple Configurator Internet Error when checking for the latest IOS

    Hey all,
    I have just updated my apple configurator software to 1.2.1 and every time the software tries to check for the latest ios version it just times out saying internet error. All internet connectivity is fine as I have unistalled and downloaded the app several times trying to resolve it. I can browse web pages fine so I know internet connectivity is not to blame. What can I do to get this thing to succsessfully phone home?

    We have the same error.  I've called apple enterprise support and gotten a case ID.
    I suggest everyon call apple.
    It's easy to reproduce once it happens. It's hard to resolve.  It happens even when we reboot and have just one ipad connected to the mac desktop with just a single USB cable.   We can no longer update the ipads.
    I've asked apple to focus on less fluff and more function in configurator.
    Please do the same.
    It would cost us about 12 man hours to wipe out our machine  , restore lion, then restore from time machine.

  • HT6029 I get error 3194  with Apple Configurator when trying to prepare my ipad

    Hi,
    I am testing out Apple Configurator 1.4.2 (iTunes is up to date, as is Mac OS, at 10.8) for deploying profiles to an upcoming iPad fleet. I have run into two issues:
    - With an iPad2 running iOS7, and the "Supervision" option set to "ON", the Configurator downloaded iOS 6.1.3 successfully and tried to apply it, failing with the error 3194
    - With an iPad2 running iOS6.1.3 with the same options as above, it failed also with error 3194 and bricked the iPad. Restore also fails
    Does anyone know what is causing the error 3194? I have run through Google and all it says is that the system cannot contact the Apple Server, but if I downloaded the updates successfully this can't be the issue, can it?

  • Error 10 in Apple Configurator

    As the new guy, I have inherited overseeing the iPads in our school district.  I currently have four that are giving use issues in Apple Configurator.  Two are giving me "Failed to fetch file Error 10".  The other two are fine but when I "prepare" them, Configurator continues to work for extended periods of time without anything being done to the IPads.

    I could really use some help on this one guys.

  • IPads not being recognized when using apple configurator software

    I have an iPad cart with 25 iPad's. I am using a MacBook Air and the apple configurator software to try to manage the iPad's. The problem is, only 21 of the 25 iPads will show up in the apple configurator "prepare" section. All of the iPads are not being recognized. When I use a MacBook Pro all 25 iPad's will show. So the problem seems to be with the MacBook Air and/or Apple Configurator. Any suggestions? We have 30 carts total with some having up to 30 iPads so I am trying to find a fix for this.

    This seems to be an issue related to the new 2013 MacBook Air models.  I've seen it pop up a few times now, and the common factor is always a 2013 MacBook Air.
    A "solution" doesn't seem to exist yet.  The workaround at this point would be to either use any older Mac to do the syncing, or only connect and sync half of the devices at a time.

  • What happens when the Apple Configurator Certs Expire?

    So I was looking at some iPads I deployed sometime ago using Apple Configurator.  Last summer I brough them all in (about 220 units,) wiped them, used configurator to install iOS 5.1, all supervised, and named according to the Teacher they were given out to.  Haven't seen the iPads since.  Last few weeks I've had a few come back with misc problems and I noticed within the Supervision Profile the "Signing Certificate" and "Certificate" for Apple Configurator both expire on August 13, 2013.  What will happen on/after August 13, 2013 with these units?

    From another site, I got a tip that if you use Keychain Access, double click on the AppleConfigurator (MAC address of machine) entry (it'll have a red X badge & the date it expired), open up the Trust disclosure triangle and set "When using this certificate"t o Always Trust. The red X badge changes to a blue + badge.

    Hi Eron,
    We can get PowerPivot Configuration tool if we install SQL Server PowerPivot for SharePoint successfully. Have you following the steps to configure the PowerPivot for SharePoint environment in the article below?
    Install PowerPivot for SharePoint:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee210708.aspx
    Furthermore, PowerPivot for SharePoint must be configured before it can be used. After you install PowerPivot for SharePoint using SQL Server Setup, you can configure it using any of the following approaches:
    PowerPivot Configuration Tool or PowerPivot for SharePoint 2013 Configuration tool
    SharePoint Central Administration
    PowerShell cmdlets

  • SnapCreator 4.1.1 GUI error when adding SnapVault configuration

    Hi All, I am hitting a GUI error issue when executing new configuration wizard in SC 4.1.1 Basically the error shows up when SC is trying to get a list of existing SnapVault relationships in order to verify them. This results in volumes not being properly marked as source and destination. Beforehand, I am able to discover vservers and reach out to volumes - SCFM_test on source cluster and SCFM_test_DP as destination. There's an existing SV relationship initialized between them. Please find all corresponding logs attached. I will be grateful for any hints. Ontap is cDOT 8.2.1

    Hello there
    What others have gone to is quite interesting and explains the reason why you got such an output from your code.
    But to overcome the problem I suggest using the following code in your program.
    for (int i = 0 ; i < 10; i++) {
              System.out.println(i + "\t" + ((double)Math.round(10*a))/10 + "\t");
              a += 0.1;
    No, that's a useless approach.
    If the issue is just the display, then use a Formatter or DecimalFormat when displaying. If the issue is that you actually want fixed decimal precision, then use BigDecimal.Well, the issue indicated in the original post was displaying. So provided that we understand the reason why the original code worked in that way, I suggested the simplest approach to display the desired series!

  • Error when accessing UM Configuration...

    As far as I can tell, we just started getting this error after we installed Patch 5. Maybe we did something wrong/out-of-order or <i>didn't</i> do. I say this b/c I do not get the error when accessing UM Config in one environment where the patch is installed, but do in another.

  • Import Error when using Apple Lossless

    Thanks to all in advance for their help. I have iTunes l0.1.1.4 running on several Windows 7 computers and am currently getting an error when I try to import a CD using ALC.
    The error message says "Error occurred while converting the file "Song name". An unknown error occurred (-39)."
    This also happens when I try to convert to using AAC. But as an experiment, I was able to import using either WAV or AIFF formats. I also can play CDs directly so I would assume hardware isn't the fault.
    I do have another computer running XP and iTunes 10.1.1.4 and am able to import using ALC so my guess is there's something between iTunes and Windows 7 that's causing the issue.
    Again, thank you in advance for any guidance and apologies if this has been covered in another string.

    I think I may have stumbled onto my own solution. On the WinXP machine that was letting me import ALC successfully, I had my C:drive set as the destination for the import files. I changed that setting to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device and suddenly could no longer import using ALC. I reset back to the C:drive and it worked, confirming that the conflict was between iTunes and the NAS or my Network.
    I then reset the destination on my Win7 machine to also use a folder on the c:drive as the file destination and that solved in there as well.
    So, if anyone can shed light on why importing/compressing to ALC/sending to a non-c:drive location is causing a failure, I'm listening.
    And hopefully this solution will help someone else along the way.

  • Getting error when LDAPSync is configured on postinstallation of OIM

    Hi All,
    While performing LDAP sync in OIM-AD integration, we are facing issue for loading of  LDAPContainerRules.xml.
    We have done all configuration as per oracle documentation on LDAPSync for OIM 11gR2 : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/integration.1112/e27123/oid_oim.htm
    We have performed following  steps mentioned in this document  in our OIM environment.
    3.1 Enabling Post installation LDAP Synchronization
    3.3 Creating Identity Virtualization Library (libOVD) Adapters and Integrating With Oracle Identity Manager
    The OIM environment we tested is the latest OIM version OIM 11gR2 PS1 (11.1.2.1.0).We have checked on oracle support also, but there same bug is mentioned as harmless and can be ignored for OIM version 11gR1 onwards.
    But when we create any user in OIM, it is not getting sync in AD system.Even though MDS import of  LDAPContainerRules.xml as mentioned in above doc is successful in our OIM environment we are getting error logs as :

    Is there any configuration we missed ,because of which we are getting this error. Even we have checked with System Properties for LDAP sync ...but they all are fine and having default values as mentioned in Oracle doc.Please let us know any helpful pointer on this.
    Thanks,
    RPB25

    This issue is resolved now.
    metadata import for LDAPContainerRules.xml did not happened properly under “/db” location in OIM env.
    As per oracle document,http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/integration.1112/e27123/oid_oim.htm, we were importing metadata from em consol.
    Instead of this, we imported metadata through weblogicImportMetadata.sh utility  keeping all files under “/db” folder structure. This resolved the issue.
    But,getting following issue when trying to create user in OIM. LDAP binding is happening,but it is throwing error as follows:
    LDAPSync issue : DN: CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,dc=contoso,dc=com
      javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-0310020A, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:

      'CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com'
    When i googled this issue,similar issue i found and resolution was giving required DN path not full DN with root.But it is not working
    LDAPContainerRules.xml is having rule as
    <container-rules>
      <user>
      <rule>
      <expression>Default</expression>
      <container>CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com</container>
      </rule>
      </user>
      <role>
      <rule>
      <expression>Default</expression>
      <container>CN=Groups,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com</container>
      </rule>
      </role>
    </container-rules>
    and IT resource 'Directory Server' have attribute value for searchBase as 'DC=contoso,DC=com'
    so,it will try to created user under ,CN=Users,CN=oracleAccounts,OU=mycompany,DC=contoso,DC=com,which is not happening currently.
    Any helpful pointer on this ?
    Thanks,
