Internet Explorer 10 compatibility with Moss 2007.

Hello , We are facing issue with MOSS 2007 and Internet Explorer 10.There are few out of box fields are not working at all with IE 10.
Lookup field – with more that 20 items in it.
Date and Time
These fields do not work at all.
I know there is workaround of switching to compatibility mode, however looking for some permanent solution
Based on the following article I installed hotfixes of .net framework which didn’t help. Though I noticed same issues I had with IE 11 are resolve .
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/88505e15-d453-4336-995d-12c010c5ad49/internet-explorer-10-compatibility-with-sharepoint-2010-sp-2007-interface
Thanks in advance.

SharePoint 2007 is fully supported with the following browsers, from Plan browser support (Office SharePoint Server):
Level 1 Web browsers for Office SharePoint Server 2007 with SP2 are as follows:
Windows Internet Explorer 6.x (32-bit)
Windows Internet Explorer 7.x (32-bit)
Windows Internet Explorer 8.x (32-bit) (includes running in compatibility mode)
Windows Internet Explorer 9.x (32-bit) (includes running in compatibility mode)
Level 1 Web browsers for Office SharePoint Server 2007 original release and Service Pack 1 (SP1) are as follows:
Internet Explorer 6.x (32-bit)
Internet Explorer 7.x (32-bit)
As well, IE 7, 8 , and 9 64-bit, Firefox 3.x and Safari 3.x are supported with limitations. If you don't have SP2 or newer installed you could throw on your nostalgia hat and also use Firefox 1.5, Mozilla 1.7, Netscape Navigator (!) 7.2 and 8.1, or Safari
2.0 again with limited functionality.
I'm afraid IE 10 isn't on the list so you will need a work around. It sounds like compatibility mode works for you, how about setting up a
Group Policy Object that sets the compatibility settings for your SharePoint URLs in all your users's browsers?

    Diane,
I have added very few apps to my G5. The majority of my time is spent editing photos with PhotoshopCS3. I have software updates set to run weekly and have always kept them up to date. I really believe it's a disk permissions issue...but repairing them doesn't help.
*+Upon installation, I used Archive and Install.+* While I agree that Erase and Install may sound like a good idea, it makes me nervous. I do have everything backed up on a bootable CMS drive, but I'm a photographer and was hoping to not have to erase the G5.
Yes, as I mentioned in the original post, I've downloaded and installed the Airport firmware update. And all software is up to date.
All was working just dandy before the upgrade. Unfortunately now it's sounding like I may have to erase my hard drive and install fresh.
If I do that, is it just a matter then of dragging my photos from the backup disk to the G5? And documents? Etc?? The thought of getting all my photos and important information back on the G5 seems a bit staggering.

    Hello popoos:
Have you tried restoring your Inernet Explorer? Ooen open your internet Explorer click on tools tab and then click on Internet Options click on delete let it delete ever thing. This will delete temporary files. After that click on Advance tab and then click on reset. Close it out and then reopen it. Now goto Tools- tab then click managed add on in that list that appears enable the adobe software listed your anti virus software, Your printer if you use it on line Microsoft tool bars. I dissabled the search helpers because I personly don't want extra trash appairing on my screen. Also enable the replayer if you use it. I dissable all the the rest of toolbars you do not have to. I disable them because Because bing is safer. Now try Microsoft Office it should work now. Intetnet Explorer setting have been reset now.

  • Domain redirect and Internet Explorer  behavior with cookies

    Hi team,
I'd like to ask if the following behavior is "normal" or if there are some possible or better workarounds.
    1. My application uses HTMLDB internal authentication (via login page). Session management therefore is based on cookies.
    2. I registered a domain and asked the domain provider to redirect the connections to the site where my htmldb application is hosted.
    3. Firefox browser users connect apparently seamlessly to the web site, while Internet Explorer users need to tamper with the security settings and add both the domain and the hosting server address to the "Trusted" site list, also disabling the HTTPS only restriction for this kind of sites, because the cookies seem to be blocked by default.
I didn't fully understand if the problem with the cookies is related to the domain redirection but I am guessing it is as I never had this problem before when connecting directly to the hosted site.
    Hence my question:
what is the recommended setup in a similar case, is my situation typical to some extent or is there something that needs to be done at either side to avoid these issues?

  • Internet Explorer 8 with Adobe Reader 11 in one package - embedded PDF problem

    Hello,
I am trying to package Internet Explorer 8 together with Adobe Reader 11 in ThinApp 5 for Windows 7. I am capturing on clean Windows XP with IE6. Of course, I am using "IEShims.dll" for IE8 in order to make it work in ThinApp.
From the first look everything is ok, both application could be launched, but there are several issues:
    1) When I try to open embedded PDF file, IE hangs and loses response. I have found workaround for this: Adobe Reader should be opened at least 1 time before opening embedded PDF files. But I have found 2nd issue.
    2) Print button does not work. When I try to print embedded PDF from Adobe Reader instance, it does not work. Documents could be printed from virtual IE8 and from separate instance of Adobe Reader.
What could you advise me? Are there any "small" tricks and tweaks that may help me with this?
    Thank you in advance!

Have you tried capturing these application in separate packages?  I have been successful in capturing IE8 in one package and Adobe Reader XI in another package and then using the OptionalAppLinks option in the IE8 package to point to the Adobe Reader dat file.  Just make sure that both packages work outside of the applinking.  Also, you can try to install Adobe to the native machine and see if the embedded pdfs work in the virtual IE package.
These are just the troubleshooting steps that I would take to narrow down what is causing the issue you are seeing.

  • Is there a way to set internet explorer compatibility on my Mac (in Chrome or Safari)?

I am trying to view a website that requires IE compatibility.  There is a Chrome extension called IE Tab but it only works on a Windows machine, not a Mac.  Any idea what works on a Mac?

I am trying to view a website that requires IE compatibility.
If at all possible avoid that website. I would be concerned about undesirable things going into your computer.  In the Windows world Internet Explorer is a common conduit to damage computers.
If they are shortsighted enough to do this I would be very concerned about other mistakes they may be making.
My browser of choice is Firefox.

  • Internet Explorer interfears with Printing

After a recent update of Windows Server, all printers stopped working.
The culprit was Internet Explorer.  The security zones were updated which stopped the printer drivers from sending data to the printers via TCP.
How can Internet Explorer be removed from the printing aspects of a windows sever?

    Hi mathe226,
    Thanks for your feedback,
Opera mini is not really a browser such as IE9 as it is basically a viewer for pages as rendered by an Opera server and sent to the device as a pre-rendered page. This will obviously bring up a number of restrictions which, while fine for feature phones, where  basic web functionality would normally be enough, would not be desirable for a smartphone.
IE9 is a fully functional web browser with HTML-5 and Javascript support, both are not or very limited available in Opera mini. As a phone like the Lumia 800 is intended to be used with a suitable high-speed internet connection there is no real reason or need to turn off image loading, a function which was implemented at a time when access speeds were much lower and phones were far less powerful.
    Hope this helps,
    Kosh

  • Internet Explorer Crashes with Windows 7 64 bit

Internet Explorer has constantly crashes with my Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium system.  I have tried every troubleshooting method there is and it still crashes.  I tried uninstalling the Windows update and it was wiped out so I did a system restore.
I still don't feel safe.  Any more solution I could try?

    Hi,
You can try the following suggestions to check if the problem be solved:
    Try to run IE in
    No Add-ons.
    Try to restore IE setting.
    Try to use
    Fix It tool.
    Try to use
    MSE to scan your system.

  • How to remove Internet Explorer Maintenance with Windows 8

In order to edit group policy preferences for Internet Explorer 10 and newer, we are editing group policy exclusively with GPMC installed on a Windows 8 computer. I have the understanding that once you edit group policy with a newer OS, it shouldn't be edited
with an OS prior.  Now we are ready to remove policy settings using Internet Explorer Maintenance by clicking "Reset Browser Settings" for that policy node.  However, IEM is not visible with Windows 8.  Is it safe to go against best
practice and edit group policy with for example GPMC installed on a Windows 2003 server just to remove IEM policy?  Is there a better way to accomplish this task?
    Thank you

The DLLs for IEM are removed when a computer is upgraded to IE10/IE11 (or if it ships with IE10/IE11).
This means that you can't remove the IEM settings from a GPO, unless you have a machine that has an older (IE9 or less) browser.
    You can either;
    a) delete the GPOs which you already know do contain IEM settings (here's a tip on how to find those:
    http://deployhappiness.com/tracking-down-rouge-cses-ie-maintenance-addition/ )
    b) use a computer which has an older browser, with GPMC/RSAT on it, to do the "IEM Reset".
I would not use WS2003 for this, since WS2003 doesn't understand ADMX, and you might have already used a newer OS to author settings into that same GPO. I would use WS2008R2 or Win7 to do this (ensuring that the browser on that computer is IE8 or IE9 and is
    not IE10 nor IE11)

  • Using Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 with PDFs

I loaded Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and was no longer able to load PDF files. The window opened but nothing displayed. I also noticed if arm.exe is disabled, PDFs won't load either. Do you know of problems reading PDFs with IE 10?

  • Deploy Internet explorer 11 with latest updates using SCCM 2012

    Hello,
I'd like deploy IE11 with the latest updates included. The reason is that I want the IE 11 enterprise mode to be available as soon as IE11 gets installed.
I don't want to wait an update scan cycle to trigger the installation of the updates.
What is the best way to achieve that using SCCM 2012 ?
    Regards,
    Michel

    Hi,
You have to capture the installation package with latest update by using IEAK 11 on the computer which has the IE11 with this feature.
    GP to enable this feature:
Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Let users turn on and use Enterprise Mode from the Tools menu
This is only for Windows 7 computer.
As I mentioned above, for Windows 8.1, we can only deploy Windows 8.1 update 1 to add this feature to IE11, since there is no separated update can be installed for IE11 on Windows 8.1 to implement this.
    Windows 8.1
    Update (32-bit version)
    Windows 8.1
    Update (64-bit version)

  • After years of using firefox, it suddenly will not connect to the internet. Internet Explorer connects with no problem.

I'm using a WIFI connection and have had no problem for many months. All of a sudden, I get "Problem loading page"; "Firefox cannot establish a connection with the server". MS Internet Explorer works fine.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
