Internet Explorer 10 install by WSUS

Hey guys, hit a bit of a snag with IE 10. I'm trying to push out IE10 through WSUS on some test PCs. I've imported the package and go to push out update. 32 and 64 bit are in the package, 32 bit is successful. Then it fails on 64. Any and all help would be appreciated. thanks

1.Can Internet explorer be installed in Macbook pro?
2.Can I have dual boot in my Macbook pro - with Mac and Windows ??

No, unless you install Windows, which you can certainly do. Boot Camp allows you to install any number of different operating systems.
If you're trying to use a website that refuses to load because it demands Internet Exploder, I suggest enabling the Develop menu in Safari's Preferences, and selecting a User Agent that placates the website.

  • Webmail is not working internet explore after installed sp3 exchange 2007 roll up 15

webmail is not working internet explore after installed sp3 exchange 2007 roll up 15 but mozill firefox webmail is working fine

    Hi,
Does the issue happen to all users? What’s your IE version? Is there any error when you access OWA 2007 in IE?
Please click Compatibility View settings in your Internet Explorer. Then, add the OWA site to the list of sites to be viewed in compatibility view and check whether the issue persists.

  • Firefox will not load web page (I also have Internet Explorer 8 installed).

Fire Fox will not load web pages. It may have something to do with proxy settings but I have reset this to Auto-Detect which is where it has always been in the past but still nothing. Something has reset my proxy settings in the past which caused a similar problem but doesn't seem to be the issue this time. I have Internet Explorer 8.0 installed on computer right now and it seems to work.

After looking into this further I checked firewall settings in Panda A.V. For Firefox they were set to Custom settings which effectively disabled it. I changed setting to Outbound only like Internet Explorer and other programs and Firefox seems to work fine now. Hope this helps others who have experienced this problem. I have teenage children who use computer a lot (Face Book, etc.) so the root of the problem may have been Malware, Adware, or something else but hopefully Panda has taken care of this.

  • Problem running web queries on machines with internet explorer 8 installed

    Hello All,
We started noticing that a few of our users can no longer execute web queries in MS Excel spreadsheets created from .IQY files exported from Discoverer.
The users get the following error when they attempt to refresh data on their excel worksheet:
"The file could not be accessed. Try one of the following:
*Make sure the specified folder exists.
*Make sure the folder that contains the file is not read-only.
*Make sure the file name does not contain any of the following characters: < > ? [ ] : | or *
*Make sure the file/path name doesn't contain more than 218 characters."
Followed immediately by: "Invalid Web Query"
We believe that we've linked this issue to only occurring with users who've installed Internet Explorer 8, so I'm hoping that it could be some configuration setting that I could tweak, either in their internet settings or on the discoverer server.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
FYI: Our discoverer server is version: 10.1.2.3.0 with CP4, and our clients are using JRE 1.6.0_12, the problem is occurring on my test machine with Excel 2003.
    Thanks,
    -Scott

  • Internet Explorer requests Install of Flash Player

Hi, I'm testing my wed site development with Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer on Mac and PC systems. When I use Internet explorer it asks me to Install Flash Player even though Flash Player is already installed on the PC. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing that tells Explorer to use the Existing Flash Player? Thank you for your help.

    I'm using Flash CS6.
    Your fix worked!!!
    http://www.islandanimationstudio.com/AHATest/FixTstR1/D2eR2b.html
I also tried to modify the existing .html (Well a more recent version) by changing just the 14,0,0,0 to 11,0,0,0 in the line of code...
    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab# version=11,0,0,0" id="indexD2eR2g.swf" width="1300" height="1700" align="top">.
    and that worked as well.
    http://www.islandanimationstudio.com/AHATest/FixTstR2/indexD2eR2gFx.html
    Awesome!
So, I'm guessing that my solution is to modify the published .HTML files as above before my final release. Yes? That is, this issue is not something that can be fixed by modifying the publish settings in Flash. (i.e., It's a Flash Bug). If yes, how do I go about letting Adobe know about it (if they don't already.).
If I understand what is happening, the HTML code is looking for Flash Player 14 and higher, so it always requests an update. Hence, given this fix any updates to Flash player from this point forward should not be an issue since the HTML is looking for Flash Player 11 and above. Correct?
Thank you so very much. This has saved me big time.

  • I suddenly cannot startup Captivate 4 for reason Flash Player for Internet Explorer not installed or older version, but I have verified that Flash Player 16,0,0,235 is installed. Please help.

    Hi,
I haven't used my Adobe Captivate 4 for a bit, but when I try to start it up, I get the following message:
"The Flash Player for Microsoft Internet Explorer, is not installed or its an older version.
You will automatically be redirected to the Adobe website to download the latest Flash Player.
Please note that the Adobe Captivate cannot be used until the Flash Player is installed."
Even if I click the OK button and reinstall the Flash Player, I still get the same message, when I try to startup Captivate.
I have verified that I'm running Flash player 16,0,0,235, which is supposed to be the latest version.
I'm running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.
    Please help.

The problem is that your version of Captivate 4 needs to be updated with a patch that Adobe used to supply.  (I don't have a link anymore to it.)
Captivate 4 was unable to recognise Flash Player versions beyond a certain number.  It gives you a misleading  error message that makes it look like you have the wrong version of Flash Player.  But the real problem is that Captivate needs to be patched to recognise the latest FP versions.
I'm hoping that someone from the Adobe Captivate team will chime in here and give us another link to download the patch.  Otherwise, you really might be forced to upgrade to a newer version of Cp.  However, if your current projects are being built in Cp4, your next issue will be that if you purchase Cp8 it will NOT be able to upgrade your Cp4 projects.  You'd need to download a trial version of Cp5 or 5.5, and do a two-step upgrade.

  • System Check Message: How do I close my Internet Explorer to install Adobe Illustrator CS3?

Upon installing Adobe Illustrator CS3, I cannot finish installing because system check tells me that Internet Explorer needs to be closed. I am using Windows Vista Home Edition Premium. I'm simply confused because I do not know exactly how to close Internet Explorer to finish my installation process. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

hello, unfortunately when you search for this error message it appears that it might be related to malware that is active on your system and blocks file downloads.
please try to run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner], [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx microsoft safety scanner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan].
if you can't download/execute any of those tools, you might want to try to boot windows into safe mode with networking support first and see if it works then: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7

  • I want to install silverlight, but it ask me to install internet explorer should install it?

I'm trying to install microsoft silverlight, but once I download to file I cannot open file, When I try to get help from microsoft they ask me to download internet explorer should I download explorer, will this affect firefox? I don´t know what to do. Or does silverlight only works with internet explorer? Thank you.

There are different Silverlight plugins for IE and for Firefox.
I think some parts of Windows do not work correctly without Internet Explorer installed. If you install the current version of IE for Windows XP (IE 8), then it may take over as your default browser. No problem. The next time you start Firefox, you can return it to default browser status using:
Tools > Options > Advanced, General tab, "Check Now"
Edit: I suppose it wouldn't hurt to do a backup before installing IE8, just in case. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].

  • Elements needs version 4 or newer of Internet Explorer to install?

I have IE 10.  My version of Photoshop Elements is old, no version # old.  I have original disk.  HELP!?

This is what I copied from that doc-
    Navigate to registry key: Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \App Paths \IEXPLORE.EXE.
If this key does not exist, create a new key in App Paths named IEXPLORE.EXE
Within the IEXPLORE.EXE key please make two changes:
    1. Open the default string and enter “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” (please note this path is for Windows Xp only)
    2. Create a new string called "Path" then double click on the new string and enter the following path "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer:". Make sure you have the ":" at the end.
When finished you can close regedit and start with the installation
Please try and let us know if this doesn't help.
    Thanks

  • Launching Internet explorer after install finishes

I find that after installing from IE8 the installer launches the browser again using the same Administrator privileges that the installer requested with UAC. I'm not sure this is in the best interest of the user.

I think this is primarily to demonstrate that Flash installed correctly, or didn't as the case may be. If you're logged on as Adminstrator, then that modus operandi will prevail.
You could try logging in with a user a/c with less priviliges and then right click the installation file and choose "Run As Administrator", but I can't guarantee it'll work.

    Assuming Win7 64-bit with Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) installed...
We'll need to "dig a little deeper" here. Please answer each of the following
[admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions in a correspondingly-numbered list in your very next reply, preferably
    without quoting my post:
1a. When (approx. date) did you purchase the computer?
1b. Did Win7 64-bit come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it, did you do a clean install of Win7,
or did you upgrade the computer to Win7?
    2. What is the full name of your installed anti-virus application or security suite and
when (approx. date) does your current subscription expire? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender) are installed? What third-party firewall (if any)?
    3. Has a(nother) Norton application or a McAfee application EVER been installed on the computer
    since you bought it?
    4. Did a Norton free-trial or a McAfee free-trial [PICK ONE] come preinstalled on the computer
when you bought it? (Doesn't matter if you never used or Activated it.)
    5. Is KB3038314, KB3042553, KB3046306, KB3046269, KB3045999, KB3045685, KB3046482, and/or KB3037574 (and possibly KB2990214) listed in
Installed Updates (not Update History)? [1]

    7. Is Adobe Flash Player v17.0.0.169 (or higher) installed? TEST HERE USING INTERNET EXPLORER
    ONLY! =>
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
8a. When (exact date) was Internet Explorer 10 installed according to

8b. What Update Version & KB number are displayed in the second line of text in IE10's Help | About [Alt+H+A] tab; e.g.,
    Update Version: 10.0.54 (KB1231231) ?
8c. Is IE11 being offered via Windows Update?
8d. Is Firefox, Chrome or any other alternate browser installed?
    9. Are you in the habit of using "Registry cleaners" (e.g., Registry Mechanic; System Mechanic; RegCure; RegClean Pro; Advanced SystemCare; Registry Booster; McAfee QuickClean; Glary Utilities; AVG PC TuneUp; Norton Registry Cleaner; PCTools Optimiser;
