Internet Explorer 11 compatibility

Hi, what is the current status of Contribute 6.5 rendering content created for Internet Explorer 11? Is there any progress being made? Any ETA on an update?
Last I've seen mention of it was in Re: Script error in Contribute 6.5

Basically, "Currently working on it" is about all that gets mentioned. The script error is just one of a few problems.

Hello , We are facing issue with MOSS 2007 and Internet Explorer 10.There are few out of box fields are not working at all with IE 10.

SharePoint 2007 is fully supported with the following browsers, from Plan browser support (Office SharePoint Server):
Level 1 Web browsers for Office SharePoint Server 2007 with SP2 are as follows:
Windows Internet Explorer 6.x (32-bit)
Windows Internet Explorer 7.x (32-bit)
Windows Internet Explorer 8.x (32-bit) (includes running in compatibility mode)
Windows Internet Explorer 9.x (32-bit) (includes running in compatibility mode)

Internet Explorer 6.x (32-bit)

As well, IE 7, 8 , and 9 64-bit, Firefox 3.x and Safari 3.x are supported with limitations. If you don't have SP2 or newer installed you could throw on your nostalgia hat and also use Firefox 1.5, Mozilla 1.7, Netscape Navigator (!) 7.2 and 8.1, or Safari
2.0 again with limited functionality.
I'm afraid IE 10 isn't on the list so you will need a work around. It sounds like compatibility mode works for you, how about setting up a
Group Policy Object that sets the compatibility settings for your SharePoint URLs in all your users's browsers?

Many of our users using IE 10 are complaining about using PeopleSoft on that browser version. Complaints vary. Anybody knows any patches, fixes Oracle has published?

Please be advised that IE 10 is supported only in "Compatibility Mode". We recognize that this is a problem as MS is now shipping IE 10 with "Standard Mode" as the default. Development is working with high priority on a fix for this, and it will be back ported to 8.51, 8.52 and 8.53 once finalized. Internet Explorer and compatibility mode error

Whilst using DMXZone's HTML5 video player, it throws up a problem on some PC's stating there is an error and states to run in compatibility mode. Is there a line of code I can insert into the page that forces compatibilty mode to work? The client insists that they don't have to explain to every customer what to do.

'If the problem is with IE8 or below, this is because they do not support html5, the html5 shiv/js file if you are using one, only allows css styles to be applied and gives no other functionality.

Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 8.1)

I am having a problem with Flash in IE 11 / Win 8.1. I understand it is embedded. But I keep getting the window at the bottom of the screen saying this webpage wants to run the following add-on 'Adobe Flash Player' from 'Microsoft Windows Third Party Application Component....' I click allow and the message keeps coming back. On top of this, Flash will not work.
I have a feeling there is something corrupted. I have tried to download an update (kb3004150) and it says I already have this on my system. I also have tried to install it manually using the install_flash_player_ax.exe file, but to no avail.
What do I need to do to fix this and why aren't there other options on Adobe's site?

Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

Search hover panel not showing up in Internet Explorer with custom master page

The hover panel is not showing up in internet explorer. I am using a custom master page and it works no problem in the other browsers. When I fire up the debugger there is an error message when i hover over a search result item:
I tried debugging the JavaScript but i am not sure what is going on with it.
Am I missing reference or something done like that? It has to be something simple because I have been scratching my head for a while on this.
Any ideas?

Have you tried rendering the site in IE Compatability Mode? Compatability Mode solves a lot of problems in this area because older versions of IE had a unique interpretation of HTML code.

Remote Desktop Web Services Broken in Internet Explorer 10 - No Icons

This issue is only effecting IE 10. My TS WEB setup functions perfectly in IE 9. After upgrading to IE 10 when I connect to my RD WEB page, none of my apps show any icon at all. If I click the compatibility mode button at the top of the
browser, the icons appear and everything is normal.

I have Adobe Photoshop elements that was installed on my XP windows machine. I have got Windows 8 now with iternet explorer 11 a brand new machine but photoshop will not load onto it, it says internet explorer 5 or higher needed, please help

any thoughts on this problem, I find no version stated on the photoshop elements program. sorry it says internet explorer 4 or higher need which is what I have.

With ZAV 9 we have another option available:
When you snapshotted the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar, was the "Internet Explorer Snapshot Compatibility Mode" option enabled? This can affect how the snapshot turns out and should be enabled anytime a component will hook into IE.
Have you tried building the virtual IE6 by having ZAV scan the system for installed applications? That might be worth a shot to get this working in Windows 7.

Internet exploring not running in window 8

After I upgraded my internet explorer, now it says that I'm not using internet explorer 8 or flash player is not installed in my computer

Okay I assume this is WINDOWS 8 and IE 11, since it's HIGHLY unlike;ly that ANY system still running IE8 (like Win 2000 or XP) would accept the upgrade to IE11.
IE11 is causing a LOT of problems with a LOT of websites because Microsoft made changes to the code right before the final release and they told NO ONE about it. As a result, Facebook and Yahoo to name juts two, aren't recognizing the browser or Plugins like Flash Player.
Until Microsoft gets a fix released, the recommended workaround is to enable Compatibility View for the affected websites: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11

If you're on IE11 on Windows 8 and higher and it *was* working, then stopped, that's pretty weird. Either you've changed something or installed software (Ad blockers, privacy tools, etc) that are preventing Flash from running, or something got corrupted on the filesystem. The best way to fix that is to find the last windows update in Add/Remove Programs for Internet Explorer and uninstall it, then re-install it from Windows Update. This will usually get things back to a working state. Unfortunately this is a difficult solution because there's no way to uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer itself on Win8+, and Flash Player is actually a built-in component of IE at this point (there's nothing to download from Adobe).
