Internet Explorer 11.x and Flash Player problem

Hi
I installed and activated Windows 8.1 Update Enterprise 64-bit.
Its Internet Explorer 11.x is 32-bit or 64-bit because I noticed that this Windows has already integrated Flash Player 32-bit?
Also, I noticed that if I open the Flash Player applet into an Administators account and if I open its Advanced tab, the update options are disabled. How come?
Thanks
Bye
Balubeto

Hi,
There are many ways to know whether your running IE is 32 bit or 64 bit:
How do I tell if I am using a 32 bit or 64 bit version of IE?

  • Internet Explorer requests Install of Flash Player

Hi, I'm testing my wed site development with Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer on Mac and PC systems. When I use Internet explorer it asks me to Install Flash Player even though Flash Player is already installed on the PC. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing that tells Explorer to use the Existing Flash Player? Thank you for your help.

    I'm using Flash CS6.
    Your fix worked!!!
    http://www.islandanimationstudio.com/AHATest/FixTstR1/D2eR2b.html
I also tried to modify the existing .html (Well a more recent version) by changing just the 14,0,0,0 to 11,0,0,0 in the line of code...
    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab# version=11,0,0,0" id="indexD2eR2g.swf" width="1300" height="1700" align="top">.
    and that worked as well.

    Awesome!
So, I'm guessing that my solution is to modify the published .HTML files as above before my final release. Yes? That is, this issue is not something that can be fixed by modifying the publish settings in Flash. (i.e., It's a Flash Bug). If yes, how do I go about letting Adobe know about it (if they don't already.).
If I understand what is happening, the HTML code is looking for Flash Player 14 and higher, so it always requests an update. Hence, given this fix any updates to Flash player from this point forward should not be an issue since the HTML is looking for Flash Player 11 and above. Correct?
Thank you so very much. This has saved me big time.

  • IE 9 and Flash Player problems

I am using Windows 7 64 bit OS.  Upgrading to IE 9 has resulted in inability to play videos.  Get message that need updated FP, but have the FP 10.2.152.32 installed on computer.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled FP following instructions in kb2.adobe.com.....19166 to no avail.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled IE 9, uninstalled/reinstalled FP and tried it manually as well, still get message that need current version of FP.  When I check programs installed and in the IE under Manage Add-ons, FP is recognized.  I have used only the 32 bit IE, but even tried loading the Square FP for 64 bit IE, still get the message to get current version of FP.  I need help!!

hi JR ... not sure if you solved the problem however i had the same issue and managed to fix it 100%.

i found this adobe support post:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/904/cpsid_90416.html
solution #1 fixed it (description  below)
"On some systems, you may be able to resolve this issue by updating the Intel HD Graphics drivers. It has been reported that driver versions 8.15.10.2361 and above do not exhibit this bug. Unfortunately, some systems might require updates directly from your system manufacturer. We’re working with system manufacturers to make sure they include the latest drivers in future releases."
basically i clicked on the link, selected to download Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate.
Downloaded and installed the driver at the top of the list (Iink below)
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7* 64, Windows Vista* 64 (exe)
the strange thing was that i checked device manager and even when i looked for updates (my driver was lower than 8.15.10.2361) it said i was up to date ... either way upgrading fixed it.
    good luck

  • Problem with Safari and Flash Player

Hi, I've done a quick search and can't find an answer, however since updating from Lion to Mountain Lion I've had problems with my (2011) Macbook Pro whilst in Safari, following a Genuis bar visit last week we managed to narrow it down to a flash player problem and uninstalled and reinstalled flash was told that should the problems persist (we couldn't get the computer to repeat it's beahviour in store) then to re-install OSX, now I've done this but still getting the same problem, screen not refreashing so parts of previous page or pop still showing over top of new page and Computer getting VERY hot (to the point of almost burning. Now I've had a look on Adobe website and they recommend running 10.3 rather than 11.4 and I managed to download it from them however Safari blocks it as it's out of date, also on my iMac running Mountain Lion Flash appears to be blocking internet access, internet fails when attempting to use a website that needs flash, but works fine when not using it.  Anyone got any ideas on a work around?

    Try this...
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab. Click: Delete All
    Relaunch Safari.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari
Select:  Clear History  (also empties the cache)
Deselect the remaining boxes then click Reset.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a Flash based video.

  • "Internet Explorer 6.0 has encountered a problem and must close" when trying to download of Adobe Re

I've used a long time the Adobe Reader 6.0, but lately it could not open in the browser many pdf files written with the new Acrobat applications. Then I tried to download Adobe Reader 8.1.3 from the Adobe site, understanding that Reader 9 still has some bugs, and I got really stuck...
It seems that the root of the problem lies in an Active X add-on for IE (gp.ocx , published by Adobe Systems Incorporated).
After releasing a lot of security limitations on the browser, I've finally got:
"IE has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close".
The following add-on was running when this problem occurred:
    File: gp.ocx
    Company Name: Adobe Systs. Inc.
    Description: Adobe DLM
I have verified that this ActX add-on appears as Enabled in the list of IE add-ons, but I could not update it (may be it is old or rough enough to stop IE 6.0 in a XPpro sp 2 environment. An intent to disable it caused another Installation failure. A trial to update it resulted in an announcement that it is not clear where to update it, if any.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve or at least skirt this problem?
I shall more than appreciate it very much !!!
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the reply.
    The problem occurs during installation.
At the first stage, short download installs the GetPlus
DLM (Download Manager). I can see it installed in
Settings --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs.
Then it leaves a shortcut with the Adobe icon in my Desktop
    reading "Resume Adobe Downloads".
    When I press it (shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" AND ALSO TO "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NOS\nosget_start_manager_15235.html")
the real download of the files should begin.
It just opens the downloading applet and before downloading anything
I am getting this "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with the said add-on, and must close... Send notification/Do not send (you know)"

  • Flash Player Problem in  IE 11 windows 8.1

Flash player isn't working in IE 11 windows 8.1 I just upgraded to windows 8.1, and flash player isn't working in the new IE 11. I installed all updates and have checked that I have the most current version of flash installed. But when I test whether flash is working or not (example, by trying to upload facebook photos), it isn't working. The flash test on adobe's website says I'm not running internet explorer in windows 8 (maybe b/c it's windows 8.1). It works fine in firefox and chrome, but I like the new IE and want to keep using it. Is anyone else having this problem? And how can I fix it?
    [spam link removed]

Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

  • The log in button to the Edmonton Public Library is on the top right corner of their web page. But I can not activate it. If I use Internet Explore I do not have this problem.

If I try to log in to the following site http://www.epl.ca/ it appears that the cursor is not working on the top of the screen. If I use Internet Explore I do not have this problem.

"'''''it appears that the cursor is not working on the top of the screen"'''''
Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

  • Windows Media player and flash player conflicting

    Hello,
I have a problem with watching streams (television programs)
on the internet. I think this is caused by conflicting roles of
windows media player and flash player. When i don't have installed
flash player i can watch the streams. When i install flash player,
i see only green and red blocks on the respective screen. I don't
know where the problem lies. I have installed Windows Media player
again, (also Flash player) but this hasn't worked. The streams work
    with Mozilla firefox.
I hope you could really help me,
    Sincerily,
    Tuncie

    Hi Tuncie
Verify that Windows Media Player is not set as the default
player for all content in Firefox including Flash.
Also, please respond with a URL for testing.

  • AS3 to Desktop Flash Player Problems

I am repurposing a controller application to be displayed off of two monitors running off of the same operating system with dual output.  When i used this program in the past, I was using Flash CS4 and AS3 and Flash Player 9 to run the program.  When i open up the early version of this new program using Flash Player 10, I cannot get both windows to stay open at the same time when i open the swf files.  I can bring swf and monitor at a time into full screen, but when i go to make the other full screen, the full screen view deactivates on the first swf.  I am running this as a flash projector and not in a browser at all.  I am running windows 7, CS5, and Flash Player 10 although I tried this out on Flash Player 9 and 7 as well.  Any and all help welcome.

How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?
Use the 64-bit installer for Internet Explorer.

How do I access websites that warn: "Firefox is NOT compatible with this application. For best performance, please use Internet Explorer 5.0 and above...."? When I try to download any alternate browser, all I get is another warning that the alternate is "not compatible with your operating system." Is Firefox preventing this? The site listed below is a job application site. I've had this same problem with other job application sites also.

There should be a User Agent Switcher menu item under Tools, which gives you the browser names you can impersonate.
The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.
There is also a User Agent Switcher button, you can add it using View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and dragging the button to your toolbar.
    See http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/features/ and http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/help/
You can just start trying IE versions (or the versions it says on the site) until it lets you in.

I tried to uninstall the old version with the adobe uninstaller. I can not install this one also, same message.

  • Adobe Flash Player Problem: "Movie Not Loaded"

    new user to mac.
i'm getting more and more frustrated with this computer.
what's bugging me the most right now is
i am unable to view videos on certain websites.
    rather than showing the content,
    a white box appears.
when i right click on the white box,
it says "movie not loaded" (in gray) and adobe flash player 9 (in black).
i can't click on the gray line.
when i click on the black line, it brings me to the adobe website and tells me adobe flash player 9 has been successfully installed.
i am fairly sure this has nothing to do with heavy traffic.
any insights on how to resolve this issue?
    cheers.

  • Acrobat reader 10.0.x for windows and flash player update

i don't understand why my client require the update of reader (update of 10.0.1), but in the download page (.msp file) i can't find nothing. the other problem was about the update of flash player....i need to distribute the update over GPO, but adobe doesn't release from download page....is because the update are integrated in acrobat reader new release?
the metod is wrong! security is very important and release the updated version of software is also foundamental! IT Pro need an update (.msp or .msi) for the reader and for player.....faster not when you want
so....how you think to resolve this problem? how i can resolve my problem about the update?

Here you'll find the msi and msp files for the Acrobat Reader ("reader" folder on ftp) and Acrobat Pro ("acrobat" folder on ftp). ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/ . Save the link to your bookmarks.
For updating/installing Flash Player you'll have to go over here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
There's a distribution license needed to deploy the flash player (don't ask my why the hell you'll have to get a license to deploy it in internal environments, although you can download and install it without the license).
Best of luck, i needed a hole day to preparing deployment of cs5.5 and flash player etc. because of lack of information or consistency at the adobe pages and different methods for diffrent products. There should be a way to charge adobe the time it needs to get started, because they earn a damn lot of money with their cs products so they should provide better methods to do these tasks... but thats an endless story, because they're a monopolistic global player i think they aren't really interested in the needs of customers. There's not a real alternative, especially in education you're bound to use it, so you're gonna buy it anyway...
