Internet Explorer 9 IE9 future support

Now IE9 has been out for a while can we have an update as to if and when Crystal Reports will support it and what versions of Crystal Reports will support it.
I am wanting to move from Crystal Reports 2008 to 2011 but have to justify the cost to managers and have been specifically asked about IE 9 support. If IE 9 support isn't coming to Crystal reports 2011 it's difficult to justify the cost when another upgrade is inevitable.

I looked at the supported platforms documentation for CR 2011, Crystal Reports Server 2011, SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 SP02. The latest support for IE is IE 8. That is not to say that CR \ CRS \ BI will not work on IE 9, but any issue support will start with;
Does it work on a supported IE? And you know where that goes from there...
Rumor (that I can not confirm at this time due to xmas holidays getting in the way) has it that next Service Pack(s) will include IE 9 support. ETA of next SPs? By July 2012(?).

  • Acrobat X Pro toolbar missing in Internet Explorer 9 / IE9

I just installed adobe Acrobat X Pro on a Windows Server 2008 R2. Everything seems to have installed fine and is working EXCEPT that the Acrobat toolbar is not being displayed in Internet Explorer (IE9). If I check under 'Manage Add-ons' the toolbar is displayed there as being incorporated and enabled... but it is not displayed or listed under 'View/Toolbars'.
Can anyone tell me how to get it to display??

In Adobe acrobat pro, go to the Edit/Preferences menu and select the internet menu and make sure the Display PDF in browser item is checked.
Click the Internet settings button and go to the advanced tab and make sure the Enable third-party browser extensions is checked.
THen open the 32 bit version of IE9.

  • When Internet Explorer 8 will be supported for BOE?

There seems to be very little info on Internet Explorer 8 for BOE on Support Portal. Anyone aware of any timeframes?

    Hi,
IE 8 is supported in [XI3.1 SP2|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/402db6eb-845d-2c10-a38c-aafde85ec769&overridelayout=true] but only in "Compatibility mode"

  • Internet Explorer cannot download Firefox/Support/2.6.8.exe

IE8 cannot download Firefox file. It does not give me the Run/Download option, it just attempts to open it initially and stops before it gets to this screen. (It also does the same thing for MSN Explorer when I tried that instead and won't save any of my IE settings, Windows problem not Firefox)
I think that I need to change a setting on the computer or on Internet Explorer in order to download anything. It's not a case of where to download from.

I see you have just updated your original question, it is better to reply to an answer rather than update the original question, it makes it easier to see the updates.
Since the problem is with IE, you would be better off asking in a forum that specializes in Microsoft products. You can try asking in the Internet Explorer forum at [http://eileenslounge.com/ Eileen's Lounge].

  • Internet Explorer 9 no longer supports my O2, why?

I can't access my O2 anymore because IE9 no longer supports my O2, why? I get a message telling me to upgrade my browser, I'm using IE9 on Vista and am perfectly happy with them, your changes mean I can no longer pay my bill online.

I liked Vista and it took me a while to get used to Windows 7 when the laptop got dropped on the floor....intentionally as the guy at the hospital for PCs said it would cost more to repair than a new one.(thank god for house insurance!).I'm probably due for this one to die soon as it's now 5 years old. Mnn...windows 10, sure I'll be ok...

  • ADF 11g support for Internet Explorer 8 plus x

    hi
Given the current situation for ADF 10g, see forum thread "ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8" ...
at ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8
... I was wondering about the future browser support in ADF 11g.
(Specifically about IE8 the knownissues.html document for JDeveloper and ADF 11g (11.1.1.1.0) currently says "Internet Explorer 8 is neither supported nor certified. If you must use IE8, set the compatibility view settings in your IE8 browser to ALL. In IE8, go to the Tools menu -> Compatibility View Settings and check the last checkbox "Display All Websites In Compatibility View"." and "... IE8 support should be in the upcoming first patch set. ..." Re: PanelStretchLayout on IE8.)
    question
(q1) What is the life expectancy of applications built with ADF (Faces) 11g in regard to their future browser support?
    many thanks
    Jan Vervecken
    edit 20091001 : fixed link to knownissues.html

    Thanks for your reply Shay.
We plan to officially support IE8 with the next patch release to JDeveloper 11g - currently planned for later this year. That matches what I wrote in my initial post in this forum thread about IE8 support.
We usually only certify browsers after they officially go production. That does not really answer my question (q1) in this forum thread.
It is more like, how can I assess that Oracle will support any successor(s) of IE8 or successor(s) of any currently supported browsers for ADF 11g applications in the future? How long will Oracle support "commonly used browsers" for an ADF 11g application I build today, so how long will I be able to use that application?
How do I answer such questions for ADF 11g applications that should be deployed on the internet (where, as some extranet environments, you typically have not that much (or no) control over which browsers your users use ... although some would like to argue with that, see forum thread "ADF Faces RC browser support and browser market share")?
(By the way, do you have any feedback for the forum thread "ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8"?)

  • I have internet explorer 9 as my browser and i need to also download firefox to access my yahoo business page. will they conflict?

internet explorer 9 is not supported by yahoo. what will happen when I download firefox? and then how do i remove it?

When you install Firefox (you can get the version for your operating system and language [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ here]), watch out for the option to make Firefox your default browser. If you want links in external programs to start in IE, keep IE as your default browser and start Firefox when you want to use it.
If Firefox takes over as default browser and you want to switch it back to IE, check out this article from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/make-ie-default-browser
    P.S. I can't understand why Yahoo wouldn't support IE9. I think that's still a popular version of IE.

Forms 10g supported ONLY by IE 6 OR IE 7 with OS XP This is not exactly correct. Please be careful when making statement such as this. The client certified platform information can be found here:

Determining exactly which JRE (or Jinitiator) version will be used is partially determined by the following settings in formsweb.cfg. In most cases, if you look at them carefully you should be able to determine what the values you need should be. The following example will show how to use JRE 1.6.0_33. This will require Forms 10.1.2.3 and IE8 or FF3.5

  • Probblems Net Weaver Developer Studio (NWDS) caused by Internet Explorer 7

    Hi,
I figured out that the view designer in NWDS does not work properly.
It managed to draw a preview of a view but after a change the preview desappeared and I sow a window with the message: "The browser cannot display the webpage" and so on.
After hours of searching I figured out that the update from 2007-12-15/16 of Internet Explorer changed the IE7 and made the view designer not to work properly.
I've unistalled the update and now I can work back againd with NWDS.
I've checked 3 versions of NWDS, namely 2.0, 7.0 SP09, 7.0 SP10, and all of them have the same problems.
My conclusion: SAP shouldn't rely on such system and IE dependant elements in NWDS.

    Hello,
The given update is the  "Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer" - KB942615 [link|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942615].
I does "break" the WD Layout visualization in NWDS, working under Windows XP or Vista.
    Cheers

  • FormsServlet Error during opening of form in Internet Explorer

    Hi
I have installed Database10g Rel2 in my system. After that i installed Developer suite suite 10g Rel2 into same PC. this is for personal use on single PC.
But when i opened the form builder and runing one form made on same 10g forms during applet initialization it gives an Internet Explorer error and closes the form.
in OCJ4 it gives test = False.
    Please Help.
    Saeed

If the browser is crashing, the problem is likely related to a JRE conflict. If you have any Sun JRE/JPI installed and running, then try to run a form with Oracle Jinitiator, the browser will crash. We have also seen this problem when Jinit does not correctly install for one reason or another. Knowing this information would be helpful in us assisting:
    - what operating system and version?
    - which JRE/Jinitiator are you attempting to use?
    - is the Sun JRE/JPI installed on this machine?
    - did you install Dev Suite in the same home with the Database?
    Things to be aware of:
Reference to "Home" is the same as "directory". You cannot install the Database in the same Home (directory) as Developer Suite. Each must reside in their own parent directory.
Internet Explorer 7 is NOT supported for use with Forms 10.1.2.0.2. Refer to the following for more details:http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gR2/clientsod_forms10gR2.html
    Recommendations:
    1. Close ALL open browsers
    2. Uninstall Jinitiator and any Sun JRE (if installed)
    3. Reboot
    4. With ALL browsers closed, manually install the Jinitiator version configured in your formsweb.cfg
    5. Retest.

  • Internet Explorer 9 no longer works after an uninstall of HP Support Centre

Internet Explorer 9 no longer works after an uninstall of HP Support Centre and drivers for 3 HP All-in-One printers (psc1310, C4180, F4200).  Intend to re-install for just C4180.  I selected option to remove for all related software, though the HP Update and Photosmart Essentials have been left.  IE9 stops working when launched (even when launched with no add-ons and with Protected Mode disabled and Advanced Settings restored) and regardless of initial URL.  If I remove the IE9 update then IE8 works fine.   I tried re-installing IE9 update, twice, and it continues to fail.
I’m running Vista 32 Home Premium SP2 on Samsung Q210 with Norton 360 v5, SpywareBlaster and Spybot - Search & Destroy.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I now believe the problem with IE9 was not related to HP, but to a Windows Update replacement to the “Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family” drivers:  Intel Corporation Display software update released in February, 2011 (useless link  http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20411791).   IE9 started working OK when I set “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering*” (see http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1678709 with reference to “faulting module igdumdx32.dll”), so will now investigate removing that update.
Sorry to have cast aspersions on HP.  MS did this to themselves, as usual.

  • Dropping support for Internet Explorer 8,  and  Firefox 20.x or below

Starting April 30th, we will discontinue support for all Internet Explorer 8 versions and all Firefox 20 versions and below. In order to continue using Business Catalyst Admin user interface without problems, you and your clients need to upgrade to a more recent browser:
    Download Internet Explorer
    Download Safari
    Download Chrome
    Download Firefox

  • Does WebCenter Spaces support Internet Explorer 9?

Does WebCenter Spaces support Internet Explorer 9?
Will it work in IE9 default view, or is compatibility view required?

It is not listed in the compatibility matrix of the fusion middleware stack so webcenter isn't optimized (yet) for IE9. I bet in the next release they will fix the issues.
There are currently some issues with IE9 and the ADF framework and because webcenter spaces is build on top of the ADF framework i can imagine that there can be some issues so currently you better run it in compatibility view... But just test it first with IE9. it might work...
