Internet explorer appears to be running a looping cycle

my question is about internet explorer 11, I had a problem with the Pogo Website, so I emptied my cache. After that my internet
explorer starts running a loop cycle when I go back to this website.  What would be my options to stop this?  It does not do this
looping cycle on any other website.  Please help.

Hi,
tools>Internet Options>Security tab, Trusted sites, 'Sites' button, remove Pogo from your trusted sites list.
the next time you visit Pogo you may be asked to allow 'such and such' an ActiveX control to run... answer yes (to force the browser to allow 32 bit controls).
If you have a blue circle with a line through it (blocked content icon) when you visit Pogo, then your browser is blocking ActiveX, click it to turn off ActiveX filtering on the current site.
Ensure you Java JRT version is uptodate (Start>Control Panel>Java JRT) and Adobe Flash (Start>Control Panel>Flash 32).

  • How to close Internet Explorer and other programs running on Windows?

In order for Flash Player to be installed or updated, any programs that use Flash Player must be closed.  This includes Internet Explorer or other browsers, instant messengers, Skype, etc.
These programs may be running in the background, not as visible windows, but need to be closed anyway.
To close such programs use the Windows Task Manager.  To start Task Manager, take any of the following actions:
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Task Manager.
    Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
Once the Task Manager is running, select the Processes tab.  On older Windows version you may need to click on the Process Name or Image Name header to sort the process names.
Now right-click on every process that the Flash Player installer needs to close (e.g. iexplore.exe), then select End Process.
It would be desirable if the Flash Player installer could perform that action by itself; I have therefore created an enhancement request.  If you were affected by this problem, please head over to the Bugbase and vote for this request: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3548136

  • Internet Explorer Script Error when running report with user-entered params

We are using Crystal Reports Version 11.0.0.1282.  We have multiple copies each installed on a separate computer.  We have a relatively simple report with a prompt for 2 values (parameters) to be selected or input by the users.  The desktop is either Windows XP SP3 or Windows Server 2003 SP2  On all the XP/SP3 computers, this report works as expected.  On the exception computer, the Windows Server2003 Desktop, we see the prompting screen with place holders for graphics instead of the buttons.  When we attempt to select a value for the parameter by keying in the value and clicking on the OK link (no button), we see message box titled "Internet Explorer Script Error" with text: An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: xxx (varies depending on param chosen)
    char 1
    error: Object expected
    url: file:///c:/doc...../temp/1/prompting1.html
    ===============================
Searhing around the forum and using Google, I found a suggestion to be copying the "prompting" folder and dll from a known working system - tried this, it didn't work.
So. I still need a solution. Any other suggestions??

I am using the installed crystal reports 11 program to run the report.  I open the report in CR by going to File/Open and selecting the report. Then I get prompted for my ms sql login info, which I enter.  Then I see the "Enter Values" window with my data entry fields; but I don't see the nice formatting and buttons which I see when I run this from the other computers; I see only the placeholders.  I select or enter data and click on the "OK" link.  Then the message box pops up.  The message box pops up when I click on any of the links or on the "x" in the upper right.  Mesage box is explicit - Intenet Explorer Script Error, etc., as I described in my original post.

  • Is there a version of Internet Explorer that i can run on Leopard?

i have a MacBook with Leopard installed on it. I do not have Windows XP running on it and i really do not want to install it, unless i have to.
i tried using SharePoint on Internet and editing Excel on it but it either requires Windows XP installed or Internet Explorer running on my Mac OS. I can not find anything on Microsoft WebSite about it.
Is there a version of Internet Explorer that runs on Leopard and where can i find it?
    Thanks

Wow, this is fantastic --- This ies4osx actually simulates Internet Explorer 6 and for the first time ever I am able to get into my institution's computer system which only allow Internet Explorer 6 or 7.
This program works only with Mac with Intel processors. You must download a program, Darwine from the same site that offers ies4osx.

  • Internet Explorer error when I run a query (address "About blank")

I want to run a query in Query Designer and it end up with an Internet Explorer security error on address "about blank".
Our server has an internet security level very high, but I can modify the trusted zone if necessary.
We think it is a security problem with IE, perhaps a parameter to change. Do you have idea, please ?

    Hi Christophe,
There is a PDF file by SAP subject as "Enabling web functionality in BW" which says step by step process of enabling web functionality.
If the server has been configured for web functionality then check following things.
Internet options -> connections -> lan setting -> Advanced -> Do not use proxy
server for ip starting with following ip address .. and put BW server ip address .
After modification it should go throgh.
    Hope that helps.

  • Problem with WIndows 7 and Internet Explorer 11

I have Windows 7 Pro and just completed installing Service Pack 1.  I checked the the System information and it indicates that the Service Pack did in fact install.  I am now trying to install the latest version of Windows Explorer 11 and when
I try, I get a message that states "Operating System is not Supported" "you need Windows 7 SP1 or Server 2008 R2 SP1 to install Internet Explorer 11.
I have worked on this problem for about six hours.  Reinstalled Service Pack 1 and anything else I can think of.  I can't get Internet Explorer 11 to install.  I use GMail and it is advising me that I need to upgrade to the lates version
    Internet Explorer.
Can anyone give me some advice?

Which version of Internet Explorer are you currently running? And how are you trying to install IE 11?
Although there are standalone installers for IE, it's usually best if you can install it through Windows Update. From memory I think IE 11 can only be installed on top of IE 9 or 10.
Please can you open Windows Update, and click Check for updates. Once this has finished checking, look in both Important and Optional updates, and see if an updated version of IE appears.

  • Close Internet Explorer (Failed Download)

I have tried multiple times to install Adobe Flash Player. The program initializes and I allow it. When trying to download it asks me to close Internet Explorer. How to close Internet Explorer and other programs running on Windows?

  • Hacker in internet explorer

It started to slow down. Then closing internet programs. And lastly when I used Internet explorer, appeared in the screen a proliferation of many screens. And a note of warning saying Firewall warning: a serious malware is in your computer. Ring....for assistance. However when I used the searcher that comes with my Mcafee software, everything is all right. I did a check in all trouble shooting and no issue was shown. But the Internet explorer pops up with this strange multi windows. I only bought this laptop on 05th December 2014. What can I do?

    Hi,
    Try this:
Run this tool, scan and clean everything it finds:
    https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/
    Restart system
    Then, manual reset Internet Explorer:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/923737
Then download, save, and install free version of Malware Bytes Anti malware software:
    https://www.malwarebytes.org
Update it to latest definitions, run a complete threat scan (don't forget to CHECK mark scan rootkits option in settings before scan start). Quarantine and clean detected items after scan from its History section.
    Restart system.
Execute SFC scan from elevated command prompt to rule out integrity violations in the system files. Follow option 2 in this tutorial:
    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/3047-sfc-scannow-command-run-windows-8-a.html
Restart system after this scan completes. It'll take some time .
Check if the problem is solved.

  • Link problem in Internet Explorer 9 (for Vista)

    Hi,
I am creating a website with a link that links to my specific twitter page. It works fine in Firefox but when I open up Internet Explorer 9 (IE) I run into a problem. When I click on the link in IE it goes to twitter.com not my specific twitter page. I would love to fix this because I don't want my clients to have to hunt for me on twitter. It's weird because in Dreamweaver CS4 the links are correct in the properties panel so for some reason IE is not connecting with this link somehow.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    ashmic19

No there's not any sensitive information. I would upload it but I don't want to upload it to my particular web host yet until the site is complete.
People here often create a temp folder on their website for testing purposes, upload a problem page for all to see then pull it down when the issue is fixed.
By the time you've fixed the issue, it's unlikely that Google has found it.

  • Internet Explorer stalls

I have the newest Flashplayer, newly installed, AND the latest Internet Explorer. (operating system: Windows Vista). When I open a Flash site I ALWAYS have to load twice (load, then refresh) to see the content. No error message, site seems to load--but screen is empty, and these steps MUST be repeated once more to see content. I do not want a viewer to leave a "blank" page. This never happens in Firefox, and is a new problem since maybe April. I looked at yr online docs, reloaded my flashplayer many times, checked all security issues, other forums, etc. I am stumped. Thanks.G.E.

  • PDF Links within Internet Explorer

None of my "external" PDF links work when I view PDFs within Internet Explorer. I am running Acrobat 9.3 and IE 8, any ideas why this could be occuring? The links work fine when viewing the PDF within Acrobat.
    Thanks!
    R. Sloan

Thanks for the replies.  These are relative links that point to different PDFs within the same folder as the PDF I am viewing.  When I mouse over the link, i see the finger icon as expected, however when I click on the link nothing happens (no error message).
I created the links using the Acrobat linking tool by selecting the "Goto View" option.
I am using IE 8.0.6001 and Acrobat 9.0.0.

    1. In the Builder verify that you have valid values for the Application Server URL and Browser Location fields in the Builder Preferences Runtime (tab). Do not leave either field blank.
    2. In the browser settings, on the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Security section and check the box labeled, "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer".
    3. Click Ok to save the changes. Close ALL open browsers
    4. Retest
