Internet Explorer Crash (WRT54G)

Every time i open internet explorer, my whole computer crashes, the internet works with the Opera browser and everything else, but not IE. What's wrong? do i have to change any settings?Message Edited by BlackBeltDobie on 02-17-200709:35 PM

BlackBeltDobie ,
Hi there propbably you need to uninstall and re-install your internet browser, cause the opera browser is already working...  So it only means that there is something wrong with your internet browser, not with the router.
Many thanks,

I installed iTunes on my Dell PC running Windows 7 and now Internet Explorer crashes and won't run. Are there any known conflicts, or likely issues that may be causing this?
I've rebooted, and the iTunes program seems to operate fine. I used it to upgrade my iPad's OS to 8.1.3.

They aren't related and shouldn't affect each other.

  • Internet Explorer Crashing over Windows XP SP2

    Hi all,
I have a problem with Internet Explorer 6.0. I've developed a web page that has an applet (without user interface) and an ActiveX developed with C++. My problem is that sometimes when I push a button that invokes an applet method, Internet Explorer crash and a window shows that Internet Explorer has caused a serious error.
I am using JRE 1.5.0_03, Internet Explorer SP2 and Windows Xp Professional SP2.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem?.
    Best Regards.
    Antonio

  • Internet Explorer Crashes and Uninstall setup.exe crashes

Hi all! I've been able to install Siebel Tools 8.1 but not the Siebel 8.1 client. I think there was a problem during the installation. Now, Internet Explorer crashes and when i try to uninstall Siebel in accordance with [this recommendation|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14004_01/books/SiebInstWIN/SiebInstCOM_UninstallSiebel9.html#wp1520277] setup.exe crashes. As of now, I've been using the web service instead since i cannot figure out what to do.
    What might be the problem?
    Best regards
    Sam

They aren't related and shouldn't affect each other.

  • AOL Broadband, will connect to laptop, but not connect to internet explorer. WRT54GS v.6

I can connect to my wireless network via my laptop, but not to internet explorer. We have changed every setting imaginable and re-set the modem, router many times. We Ip configed, did ping tests, installed and re-installed the card in the laptop. Done all this 4 times with the tech support from Linksys. Finally, I realized it must the wireless router and/or modem configuration. (The laptop works on every other network in town except ours, and has not security settings enabled).
I have been on customer service calls for 2 weeks, with AOL and linksys and nothing seems to be helping me. I have 2 wireless routers (thought the first was bad, so bought another brand new), and just had a brand new modem installed. Basically, I have brand new equipment.
The laptop has no security settings and connect to any wireless network in town. It finds the connection to my WRT54GS v.6, but will not connect via internet explorer.
I want to uninstall and re-install the router. How do I uninstall the router? (I have instruction for re-installation). Also AOL rep told me, to make sure I configure the router to a certain port range. Any ideas as to how to do this?
Anyone have problems with AOL high speed and linksys router? Has the high speed cable cord coming out of the wall, not ethernet or DSL.
We have changed the settings in http://192.168.1.1 till I am blue in the face. None of the channels worked, security didn't work, adding the ip address manually to the laptop didn't work. I am getting no error messages. Am trying to get this wireless modem working because I need it. Should have come to this forum first!

hi..if you want to uninstall the router...the only thing you need to do is hold the reset button down for 30 seconds...
i m a bit confused here as to why the ISP techs asked you to forward ports on the router...port forwarding is needed for a specific application or a device that is behind the router....
the mentioned ports are for AOL messenger ( AIM )....and has nothing to do with the modem...anyways , let us work out together on this issue...carry out the steps i mention and you can revert back with the results and your success rate...
    1) connect the computer to the modem and check what ip address you have on the computer ??
    2) go to start -> control panel -> network connections ->
let me know what other icons you have besides Local Area Connection and Wireless Network Connection..
3)connect the computer to the router and the router to the modem...
access the router using http://192.168.1.1 .. let the internet connection type be on DHCP....check the ip address on the status page of the router ui...
    4) if it is 0.0.0.0 , go to setup tab and go to mac address clone subtab , enable it and hit clone..save the settings and do a power cycle...
    5) check whether you have the ip address...if you have the same ip as coming off of the modem..u should be online and if still 0.0.0.0 , then select PPPoE for the internet connection type and enter the username and password...check whether the ip address comes up....if still negative, ensure that the modem is in bridge mode...
6)if the ip address comes up as 192.168.1.x , change the local ip add of the router to 192.168.2.1 and do a power cycle..
let me know for any help !!!

  • Flash32-11-3-300-268.OCX Internet Explorer crashes

My Internet Explorer is constantly crashing with the error:  "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an Add-on and needs to close. The following Add-on was running when the problem occurred: Flash32-11-3-300-268.OCX ".
I am running: Internet Explorer 7
    Flash 11,3,300,268
I tried upgrading to Internet Explorer 9, but due to some conflicts with some of my devices, I had to go back to 7 (this was months ago).  The Flash error just started recently and installing the latest Flash Upgrade (automatic updates) did not correct the problem...
    Any suggestions?

Sorry you're going through this.  We'd definitely like to know more and if you're up for it, we'd encourage you to submit a bug report.  See the following link for details.
How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe?
Do these crashes occur at specific times?  Are you watching video, playing games, etc?  If it's video related, please check out this page for possible solutions.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html
If none of this helps, I'd recommend either installing our 11.4 beta to see if the problem has been fixed or rolling back to a previous version until this can be addressed.

  • .png and Internet Explorer Crashes

My website also causes internet explorer to crash (mattersmostmedia.org) as others have reported.
Someone also mentioned that it is because iweb exports to .png files that can't be read by IE.
Is there any way to change that? It is slightly crucial that IE can access my site.
    Thanks

    Dan,
I posted this same note under the topic "Crashes internet explorer on Windows XP". I had a very similar problem, and I have resolved my issue. Here is the same note, I hope it helps you as well.
    Hi,
I have resolved my crashes - here is how i did it. I spoke to Apple Support, they were nice, but not able to help me. They said it was really Microsoft's fault. Doesn't really matter whose fault it is, since IE on the PC is what most of the world and for me, it is really 98% of my customers and target market, so its gotta work for that platform.
Jdang's previous post regarding offending PNGs provided me the hint. I decided to rebuild my site, one graphic at a time, and post, and test on a PC running IE until i found the offender. In my case, i was using lines, dotted style, running vertically as well as horizontally to give my page some spatial separation. Those lines were the offenders in my case - took them off and the site works perfectly on IE for the PC.
my site is: http://www.leadline.com (I forward my domain with a mask to it)
    or: http://web.mac.com/pthean/iWeb/LL/Home.html
Took me 2 hours to rebuild it piece by piece and test - so it really does not take that long. You just need to borrow a PC, upload after every new object and test. Once I found the offending graphic, I got braver and put up whole pages before I tested. As long as you can track yourself so that you know what to reverse back to in the event of IE crashing, you can find the offender rather easily (though painfully).
    Cheers!

  • Internet Explorer Crashes with Windows 7 64 bit

Internet Explorer has constantly crashes with my Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium system.  I have tried every troubleshooting method there is and it still crashes.  I tried uninstalling the Windows update and it was wiped out so I did a system restore.
I still don't feel safe.  Any more solution I could try?

    Hi,

  • Adobe Reader / Internet Explorer crashes on Terminal Server

I have several Microsoft Server 2008 R2 SP1 terminal server that is used by dozens of users who use Internet Explorer(v8) to view PDF files using IE adobe reader plug-in. There are over 1000 acrord32.exe crash events in less than 60 days.

    Report Id: d874c279-36d2-11e1-9eeb-02bf0a05007c
What could be causing this to crash so frequently? What can I do to fix this?

    Hi Michaeld71937612,
Try terminating the 'process Tree' using Task Manager then restart Adobe Reader, and check the CPU Usage again.
Please make sure that there are no other instances of Acrobat running on your system once you end Task.
I would also recommend you to check for malicious activity on your system using a reputed Antivirus/Security software.

  • Internet Explorer Crashes

    Hello,
I have noticed that my IE9 has been crashing every hour on the hour (XX:51). I'm not sure what this could be. I've ran Malware Bytes and an antivirus scan but it hasn't resolved the issue. I also upgraded to IE11 and that also did not resolve the issue.
Could someone let me know of a solution to this issue. Thank you.

    Hi cloudy,
Please take the following steps to have a troubleshoot.
    Step1:
    I agree with
doh515.Open the Internet Explorer without add-ons to have a check. If the issue is gone ,you can try to enable the add-ons one by one or use dichotomy to find out the culprit by managing the add-ons.
To open the Internet Explorer without add-ons :run “iexplore.exe -extoff” .
    To manage the add-ons :Tools\manage add-ons
    Step2:
If the #1 won`t work ,check this settings “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering” in this path Tools\Internet Options\Advanced\ Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering
    Step3:
If the issue persists, reset the Internet Explorer and you will get an original settings of it .
Please ensure you have got all the latest updates.
    Best regards

  • Adobe & Internet Explorer crashing when opening pdf within an Internet Explorer window

    Hello,
Can anyone help me with this issue or maybe point me in the right direction? Thank you!
Working with in a ASP that uses reader to display forms. The form opens as an embedded adobe form in a new Internet Explorer window. Once the form opens it pulls data from the ASP. At times when the form opens in the new window both the Internet Explorer windows close. Other times a "user request stop" error appears and once OK is pressed both windows close. The ASP does not know what causes this & can not seem to replicate the problem. ASP is on the other side of the country.
Would the acrotray.exe be causing this?

  • Internet explorer crashing-

My mom has a iMac g4 1 GHz 768 MB 80 GB. Everytime she tries to open internet explorer it quits. what to do?!?

    Silly Rabbit,
Typically I'd agree with that statement. Though take a look at my Mac Browser FAQ if you want to discover how to spoof websites into believing you are using Internet Explorer, or what other browsers exist other than Explorer which might work, or what to do about websites which insist on Explorer:
    http://www.macmaps.com/browser.html
That's why I wanted to see if we could at least help solve the problem of Explorer not working on the machine, since it does offer the ability to browse certain websites which Safari can't.

  • Crashing at startup, Internet explorer crashes also. Been to adobe before.

I was attempting to contact Adobe. Have had a lot of problems with their program since Jan. 2010. Cannot open any Adobe files, and I was looking for a phone number, closed their site. A Mozilla box opened to update, I clicked on it and after that I could not get on the Internet. That was Thursday Aug. 5, 2010 around 5:03PM Central Time. Also, Internet Explorer will not open. We have recently changed to ATT-U Verse. Spoke w/them today, sending a tech out tomorrow morning. Possibly a line problem? System is hard wired.
Firefox nor Internet Explorer are listed on Ad/Remove in Control Panel. Did I have a bogus Update box?
