Internet Explorer desktop version crashes

Hi,
Internet explorer is continually crashing in desktop mode upon starting the program where the following message is displayed:
"Internet Explorer has stopped working: A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". 
The IE app works perfectly well in the "Start" screen, but not on desktop mode.
I have tried using:
1.  Perform System maintenance troubleshooter
2. Internet Properties\Advanced\Restore advanced settings
3. Internet Properties\Advanced\Restore internet explorer settings
After performing all the 3 above tasks I rebooted my PC and the first time I opened IE in desktop mode it worked, but after closing and re-opening (without making any changes to settings etc) it continued
to crash and display the above message.
I have also looked at the error message in the action centre which is shown below:

Hi,
This issue can be caused by 3rd part software conflict.
Please test the issue in Clean boot Mode:
How to perform a clean boot
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
If the issue doesn’t appear in clean boot mode, you can determine which one can be the cause by using dichotomy in MSconfig. Checking on half of Non-Microsoft service and restart, determining which half of the services cause the issue and repeating to check
half of the problematic half services.
Then, if the issue still persists in clean boot mode, please help to collect the crash dump file and post back for our research.
First enable app crash dump collection by copying following words into notepad, saving it as dump.reg and double click to import it:

Then, open Excel to repro the issue. If crash issue appeared, please find the crashdump file under c:\.

    What's,with,the,commas?
    If you have a tablet that runs full Windows 8 - not Windows 8 RT, which is limited.
    And if you install the full Adobe Reader for Windows, not the special Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8.
    Then you will have the same features as a desktop.
    Unless they can't be accessed in touch mode, since it isn't a touch app.

    Hi - ever since I installed the latest version of flash player, my internet explorer tabs have started to crash on specific websites, even before i play any type of media. these websites include the new york times, espn soccernet, skysports etc. the error message is "Internet explorer has stopped working" and my tab automatically restarts
    i'm using windows 7 home premium SP 1 64-bit. i've noticed that the flash player i've installed is 32-bit, despite the fact that i automatically intsalled whatever version was recommended to me from the adobe flash player installation page. when i open the flash player troubleshooting page, i also can't see the video. help?

    Then kindly provide a solution, if you are not providing a solution you are part of the problem!

    I got the same error... Re-installed Flash Player, but I still have that f*cking error. It's really annoying. Why is that new version of Flash Player instable that do crash IE9???
    Isn't it debugged? Is there any solution to fix this problem? HELLO ADMINS??
    This is a problem that needs to be fixed. If you haven't flash player you can't do a thing nowadays... "Use an other web browser" No i don't want to.
    There are people who don't use an other web browser except IE...
    So get this problem fixed please and admins please answer to this discussion!!

  • Cannot print documents after I downgraded internet explorer from version 8 back to 7.

    Hello, Due to internet problems, I recently changed my internet explorer from Beta version 8 back to version 7.  Everything on my PC seems to be working fine except for printing.  I cannot print to my HP officejet J5780 all in one.   When I try to print an error message shows up in the print queue and it says printer offline.  The printer was set as default but I wonder if something was modified in the print setup when I reverted back to an older version of Explorer.  If I try to deinstall/reinstall I get an error saying I could permanently damage the printer configuration.   Also if I try to check HP drivers and software on the HP website it says I need to  update but fails to download the necessary files.  Please advise.

    first thing to check is make sure  it is still a default printer
    and go to properties and check for the port and make
    sure it say what the port your printer that it is using
    like a pareled or usb or TCP\IP connections
    and if the TCP\IP check for the correct IP of the printer
    and you may want to set the printer to "static" 
    this will keep it from changing IPs
    and you may have to uninstall and reinstall
    the printer
    download the file manually
    make sure you know where it is saved at
    for IE click save not run
    for Fire Fox but first go to the tool
    and click option and look in the main tab
    in the middle of the box click the circle
    "Always ask where to save the file"
    and make sure you know where you put
    the download at

  • Datepicker of Jquery 1.9version not working in Internet Explorer 9 version but working in IE8 and IE11

    I am new to Microsoft Technologies. 
    Recently i build an C# application using REST service. In this i used ParamQuery Grid to display data in UI.
    The problem i faced is the Jquery Datepicker is not working. I wrote a function like below:
    $(function ){ [name="Controlname"].datepicker()}.
    The above snippet is working fine in Internet Explorer Version 8 and 11. but not in IE9.
    Could you guys please let me know why it was behaving like this in IE9.

    Was there any error when running the script in IE9?
    I recommend to debug the code in IE9 to see what the error is.
    In the meanwhile, I recommend to add the site to compatibility mode to see if the issue still occurs.

  • Flash player causing internet explorer 7 to crash

    Flash player is causing internet explorer 7.0 to crash. Using
    windows vista, brand new laptop. Many times while online, internet
    will close and give error message that Flash player caused internet
    to close. Have read everywhere and tried everything. Adobe doesnt
    seem to want to help and i am getting tired of flash player causing
    me to loose everything working on while online. If anyone has any

    You need to close all iexplore.exe processes; use the Task Manager's Processes tab.

    On both, sometime after installation, presumably as a result of some update from HP W7Internet Explorer started to fail on connecting to clicked links.  It goes of to a tab which says connecting but it never does. 
    Microsoft disown the problem and say it belongs to HP.  Mozilla Firefox works fine so I wonder why I keep trying with Microsoft.  However a package with my internet service provider says I must use Windows Explorer and others mightnt work (Firefox does).
    I can't believe this problem is isolated to my 2 machines and know of at least one other afflicted customer.
    Might I be so hopeful as to believe HP will fix this for me. 
    I have spent best part of a week trolling in loops around other call centres where I found it hard to get people who could fix other like issues (Telstra Microsoft and Digital River). Do I have to do this again for this fault?

    Clear your %temp% file (Start, Run, %temp)
    Run Disk cleanup to get rid of the cache and junk left over.
    Also remove all the addons, if you have W7 64bt, try Internet Explorer (64-bit).
    Also try Windows 7 IE8 (safe mode) if it is on your system.
    I have more HP devices than you'd expect.
    1 HP TouchPad 32 GB with Android
    2 HP Touchsmarts (310-1000z and IQ527)
    2 HP Printers (J6480 and J5750)
    1 Laptop (HP DV6253CL)
    Have at least some experience in each of those devices, and i'll do my best to help you.

  • UPK 11.0 is not opening in Internet Explorer (Any version)

    We have installed Oracle UPK 11.0 and EBS 12.1.3. When we access the UPK help file from EBS help link in IE, the UPK page try to launch, but it does not opening. I tried in all versions of IE and did the below settings but no luck for me.
    1. Disabled the pop-up blocker
    2. Disabled the XSS filter
    3. Added the domain in Compatibility view settings
    Meantime, the help application works fine in Firefox. It opens the page and runs the video recording properly.
    But, I need to sort out this issue for IE so that my clients are using only IE.
    Please help me.

    Have to tried  setting the proper configuration for IE. One of the easiest ways to do so is to set up the page on trusted sites and set up the trusted sites to minimum security.
    To do so:
    Open IE
    Open Tools / Select Internet Options
    Go to the security tab
    Select Trusted Sites
    Click on sites and add your UPK-URL (you could need to un-check the "Require server verification (https:)..." to do so)
    Click on reset all zone levels to default
    Move the security level bar from this zone to Low
    Save changes and restart IE

    It is up to HP to make that program compatible with Firefox.
    That application last worked in Firefox 3.5, but HP was always very lax in updating it for a new version of Firefox. Usually they didn't bother to update it until like halfway through the "run" of a particular Firefox version. It worked for like 6 months and then a new version of Firefox was released, and it didn't work for like 6 months until HP got around to fixing it - then the cycle repeated.

    We have an extreme issue that we need help with. We have just upgraded to 11.5.10.2 and in this process we have installed JInitiator 1.3.1.29. What is occurring is that when a user logs into oracle and access the core forms. Once then click on a form the browser closes.
    We have research ML and opened an SR but to no avail. can anyone figure out what is happening.
    Steps we have done so far:
    reinstalled jinitiator 1.3.1.29 no effect
    used alternate plugin-SUN JRE 6 no effect
    we do not have any toolbars from yahoo-google or msn or any other sources.
    secondly, when we go to control panel and see the java initiator icon and try do right click open. We can not open the properties.
    If anyone has experience this problem and give some help. Would be greatly appreciated.

    I tried upgrading to Internet Explorer 9, but due to some conflicts with some of my devices, I had to go back to 7 (this was months ago).  The Flash error just started recently and installing the latest Flash Upgrade (automatic updates) did not correct the problem...
    Any suggestions?

    Do these crashes occur at specific times?  Are you watching video, playing games, etc?  If it's video related, please check out this page for possible solutions.

    If none of this helps, I'd recommend either installing our 11.4 beta to see if the problem has been fixed or rolling back to a previous version until this can be addressed.

    Hi Guys,
    We are experiencing the same issue and currently have a call logged with SAP that has now been raised to HIGH.  This is causing real issues to our business users, who are now refusing to let us recreate their local profiles as a workaround.  This is the only temporary fix we have.
    We are on Windows XP using IE 8.  When the user browses to SRM -> Employee Self-Service tab, the session completely hangs.  The same issue also happen in Confirmations.

    Any help/suggestions on how this can be resolved or indeed how it has been resolved previously would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.  We are in the process of raising our support call to URGENT and are getting desperate!
