Internet Explorer has stopped working

I get that popup whenever I move the slider below My Folders, and then the Verizon email page shuts down. This doesn't happen if I scroll through My Folders by clicking the up and down arrows. What is causing this and how can it be stopped?

perhaps the best be for you would be google's chrome but i dont think flash stuff will work in it as yet...switch to firefox the best browser ever!!its safe,fast and highly customizable!!

I have Windows Vista and have uninstalled all of itunes and all applications including Quick Time. I have gone to itunes.com to re-install itunes but it will not allow me to do that. Each time that I do I get the error message, "Internet Explorer has stopped working" and asks if I want to shut it down. I have shut it down, which didn't help, and I have just closed the dialog box which takes me to a window thanking me for loading itunes, but there is no itunes to be found on my computer. I have a HP Pavillion QU297AA#ABG operating on Windows 7. Since day one of installation I click on links and get the message
Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to sto working correctly. Windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is available.
I know it it not my internet as my laptop when used on my home wireless connection does not have this problem & neither did my previous desktop that I upgraded. I also do not believe I have a virus as I have an AVG (the paid version) antivirus scan set to run everyday to detect problems. This is so frustrating can anyone offer a solution as I have had this problem ever since I connected my new desktop pavillion.

Start>Event Viewer.... post back with the error stack.
the first step in troubleshooting web browser issues is to test by running in noAddons mode. NoAddons mode leaves ActiveX enabled, but stops COM Addons and Extensions from being loaded. IE10+ has Tools>ActiveX filtering... some websites do not test
for this and may think that Flash is not installed on the client.
When posting internet related questions it is helpful if you include the full address of any websites you are having issues with.

Continually getting this message: Internet Explorer has stopped working (etc. close program), the screen will close and immediately open right back up. Driving me crazy!!
Can't download anything.
Yahoo Mail is not working properly either.
I'm thinking I should return this PC as its still under warranty.

Right click on IE icon, select properties.
Add -extoff at the end of Target path, eg, "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff
Click OK.

Internet Explorer has stopped working (2nd attempt to fix this)

Ever since I upgraded to Adobe Flash Player v-10.2.159, I get the error "Internet Explorer has stopped working" when I close a tab. It doesn't happen every time, but sometimes when I have multiple tabs open. And it only happens when I have Adobe Flash Player add-on enabled. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and IE8.

I have a similar problem which happens whenever I walk away from the computer for extended periods (overnight, for example) and leave IE open with a tab logged onto http://www.nytimes.com. Doesn't matter if the NY Times tab is "on top" or if it is one of many inactive tabs; I jiggle the mouse in the morning to wake up the screen (power saving mode: screen only) and the error message is right there on top waiting for me.
I know it is the NYTimes tab which is crashing because IE always offers to recover the crashed tab. I always have multiple IE browsers running with multiple tabs on each, many of which contain Flash objects. However, crashes only occur with the NYTimes site.
I can find lots of these in Event Viewer; here are just a few:

I cannot get to the internet because MS Internet Explorer has stopped working & I would like to use firefox anyway. Is there a way to install from zip drive? I am using Windows 7

I am using a document capture software called Datacap. When I am scanning through the my web browser (IE9) using my Canon imageFORMULA P-215 scanner, IE9 always stops during the scanning process. I have no idea where could be the problem. Do you think there

There are many different reasons why the IP address cannot be obtained.
In first case you should check if your firewall is disabled or doesnt prevent the IP address from receiving.
Secondly you should check if the TCP/IP protocol was set to automatic
You can find such settings in TCP\IP protocol properties.
Last but not least I would recommend disabling all security settings on the router and trying to establish the WLan connection.
Please check if the Mac address filtering was disabled, disable the WLan encryption, and check if the right SSID is in use.
If it will be possible to establish the Wlan connection then you could enable step by step the single WLan security settings on the router.

IE 11 launches OK (Win 8.1 system), but gives "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message when clicking on any/all links.

As best I can recall, this happened after updating an Adobe program - probably Flash, but not sure. Has anyone else encountered this? I have not yet tried system restore because I'm not sure that's the answer. If I roll back to the pre-Adobe
update, Adobe will just prompt for the same update again and I could be caught in a revolving door. Thanks.
