Internet Explorer Loads swf as Black Screen

The swf is just a black box.
Within Firefox flash player 10.1 it plays fine.
Within Chrome flash it plays fine.
Any thoughts?

This is a known issue with the latest version of Flash Player with Captivate. The issue is resolved.

Firefox not loading-just a black screen

Hello-
Mozilla Firefox is not loading on my computer. It just brings up a black page.
Internet Explorer works just fine though. I can't find any phone numbers or any help for this.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and still have the same problem.
Can anyone help me with this?

hello, other users with this problem all had an embedded intel hd graphics card with an old driver present. in case this also applies to you, here would be a link to update the driver, which in turn should also address the black firefox problem.

Consumer IR drive not loading, bluescreens and black screens?

I have an HP Pavillion dv4 Notebook PC that I purchased in early summer, 2010. It's got Windows 7 64-bit, 4 GBs of RAM, and still is as fast as it was when I bought it, however I'm having tons of crashes, so first I tried to figure out the problem myself. I get several different BlueScreens, with these error messages:
"BAD_POOL_HEADER"
"BAD_POOL_FOOTER"
"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
"MEMORY_MANAGEMENT"
and system service exceptions. Along with bluescreens, the computer screen will freeze, crash and have skewed graphics, like lines or boxes, and have black screens. Often on boots, the computer will start up, but the screen will be black and the num and caps lock keys will flash 4 times, then pause, then flash 4 times again. After leaving it like this for a while, the computer will eventually start up like nothing happened. There's also been bluescreen loops when I boot the computer up occasionally, and sometimes I'll be using it and the screen will just go black, but the LED lights will all still be on. This has been going on for a while, but recently it's gotten progressively worse, crashing more often.
To try to solve the problem, I first scanned my computer for any malicious software, several times, and all of the scans had come up negative. So, it wasn't a virus. I updated EVERYTHING I possibly could, all drivers and such, still no fix. As a last resort, I used the system recovery option to return my computer to the factory state. Still, no fix. By this point, I know it is definitely a hardware problem.
I ran my computer in safe mode to see if everything was functioning as it should be, and found that the system couldn't load the "Consumer IR" drive, and I think this may have to do something with the problem.
Any ideas?

What are you opening them with?
iBooks or Adobe Reader?
Be sure you have the latest, iOS 7-optimized, versions.

Internet Explorer 11 Not Responding (Blank Screen)

Whenever I open my Internet Explorer 11(Windows 8.1), It sometimes opens, and it says it doesn't respond.
I've already Reset the Internet Explorer Settings, I've also turned on the GPU rendering, and Security Enhanced Protected Mode.
Also, i know it's not an add on, because it's not working on an no add on tab also.
Any Help?

Thank you for your update.
First, you may recheck if there is any latest updates for IE.
1.Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)
2.Enter Windows Update in the search box, and then tap or click Install optional updates.
3.Tap or click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your PC.
4.If updates are found, tap or click Install updates.
Please also check the folloiwng settings:
1. Turn on Compatibility View. You can only turn on Compatibility View when using Internet Explorer for the desktop.
2. Turn off Tracking Protection for the site you're on.
3. Turn off hardware acceleration. To turn off hardware acceleration, open Internet Explorer for the desktop, tap or click the Tools button, and then tap or click Internet Options. Tap or click the Advanced tab, select Use software rendering instead of GPU
rendering, and then tap or click OK. You must close and reopen Internet Explorer for changes to take effect.
Meanwhile, you may temporarily disable 3 third party anti-virus, check if some of them block the connection.
Please also open task manager, view if there are some abnormal performance.
I would like to suggest you check the Internet Explorer under Applications and Services logs in Event Viewer to see the detailed information for further research.

I find Firefox won't load youtube vids (black screen; altering url to https, can view) . Tried restarting laptop and un/re-installing Flash to no avail, why is this happening?

Youtube works OK for me on Chrome, Opera, Flock and IE8 but not Firefox. I have tried reloading / updating Flash etc but to no avail.
Usually it will start to play a video and then within a fraction of a second the control bar will disappear and the black screen covers everything and sound and vision are terminated.
The hpps dodge does not work either.

Firefox gets virus warning on loading Yahoo; Internet explorer loads without warning.

When firefox is my browser, if I try to go to Yahoo website, Avast immediately says it intercepted a virus. No such problem doing the same in internet explorer. However, I get to a private Yahoo board with no such warning.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe a malicious addon/toolbar is interfering here... it would also be interesting what's the exact wording of the avast message.

Mozilla Firefox 7.0.1 is not loading web pages properly. It takes forever to load pages. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer load them rapidly. I have no spyware and disabled all addons. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions??

Web pages are taking an extremely long time to load. Sometimes they don't load at all. This is especially true with video sites like YouTube. I scanned my entire computer with Ad-Aware, Malwarebytes, Iobit Malware Fighter, SuperAntiSpyware, Windows Defender, Malicious Software Remover Tool, and Emisoft Anti-Malware. I did an anti-virus scan with Avast. I also ran CCleaner and Advanced System Care to clean all junk. Nothing is working.

Mozilla updated me to 7.0 automatically a few days ago, no problems
Yesterday they auto updated me to 7.0.1, now it won't connect
Scaled back to 3 tabs at start now it connects but after a minute of so, the icon in the tabs just spinning and it isn't connected
Scaled back to one tab the same thing
Reinstalled Firefox, disabled the Norton firewall to test, same thing
Checked the application setting on the firewall, it is set to allow or auto
I downloaded Firefox 8 beta same issue
Any suggestions would be appreciated, not sure it is foxfire or not but the upgrade to 7.0.1 started
Anyway to go back to a pre 7 release?
I disabled the add on and have the same problem.
BTW IE 8 works fine.

How can I get my Flash movie to load correctly in Internet Explorer?

I loaded an swf into an html. It loads fine in Safari, Firefox and Opera. However, in Internet Explorer the swf covers up part of the copy. I tried everything with the css to get it to work, but it nothing has helped. Among other things, I tried changing the z-index in the css, but that doesn't do anything. Is there a specific code I need to add to my html regarding the importing of the flash movie that would be specific to IE?

YouTube loads black screen for first five seconds

Starting early January 2013 in Firefox, YouTube videos are loaded as blank black screens for the first five seconds. At the 0:06 mark, videos start playing normally. This is not an issue in Chrome or IE. Tested with all plug-ins and add-ons disabled (except Flash player). Plug-ins/add-ons updated. Tried re-installing Firefox with no solution. Help? Thanks!

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Black screen and phone doesn't load.

My phone was just replaced due to the phones inability to fully load past the black screen. Occasionally it will try to pull up the home screen for approximately a second. Now the replacement phone is doing this as well. How do I fix this error and avoid it in the future?

I have tried a reset and restoring. Restoring worked fine until today again. I have had to restore 3 times now. I have noticed that the phone seems to be stuck in a loop that goes between a long look the black screen and a quick look at my home screen when it tries to wirelessly sync. That is the one commonality I have caught today.
