Internet Explorer pop up message

Hi
I am trying to run my first adobe interactive form on IE6.
When the application comes up I get a message :
Internet explorer could not load XXXX sap-wd-refresh=X etc
The site is either unavailable or could not be located....
When I ok the message nothing happens. The application is there but no adobe form is loaded. Furthermore
looking at the Task Manager I cannot see adobe's process running.
Thank you for any help

  • Internet Explorer Security Warning Message

Hi am using pure html and am sure not using any active
    components in my page.
When i preview in Internet Explorer, though it shows the
page, but in the top it gives a security warning:
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has
restricted this file from showing active content that could access
your computer. Click here for options.
Someone said the the java script tag is giving the warning,
but even after removing that tag, am getting that warning message
The same page, doesn't give any error or warning when
    previewd in Firefox!
Can someone point me where am going wrong in the html code i
    writen?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
My immediate reaction is don't panic! If you are testing your
own page from your own local server then there is nothing to worry
about. The whole issue of Active X controls is another sore point
when having to deal with Microsoft's handling of interactive
    content.
Triggering of the warning can be caused by various things
other than the obvious contact with dynamic content. Here is an old
thread from a discussion on why Active X warning appear on your own
    pages.
    http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/showtopic16624.htm
Googling will find more evidence for you to trace. Your code
looks fine to me and is not a threat to your system if it came off
    of your own local server.
Active X is a pain in the butt.

  • Internet Explorer gives error messages

I keep being told Windows Internet Explorer cannot find my requested websites. They then appear leaving me to close the error message.
How can I stop this happening ?

Generally the Internet Explorer or a other internet browser cannot display the internet page because the connection to the internet was not established or does not wok correctly.
Furthermore a enabled firewall could prevent the internet browser from displaying a page.
Your message is incomplete and you dont provide any details but as I already said you should check your connection to the modem or router.

  • Internet Explorer Popup

I have a Toshiba L755-S5248 laptop.  Periodically when you are in a non-Internet application (Word, Excel, Games, etc.) or are in Email, Internet Explorer pops up another new Explorer window.  So you have to close this new windo to see what you wrer initially viewing.  It is very annoying!
Also, when creating an email message, the keyboard locks up and will not let you edit the message.  Very frustrating because you have to shut the laptop down and restart to edit the message, of course that is if the message is saved in draft-mode.  Sometimes, an error message pops up noting that the control key is being held down when it is not.  Any suggestions on these problematic issues?

Not to scare you, but this sounds like a virus, though not for sure. A common trait of viruses it to set file associations to trigger some app that they seek use. When IE opens what page does it go to? Open up "Task Manager" and please give us a list of what you see running. While its open see if you can trigger the erratic behavior and notice what's launches. Another thing you might try is boot the machine in "safe" mode and see if you can trigger the behavior. Many of the apps may not launch, but you can try.

  • Adding Flash in Internet Explorer

I'm having a problem adding flash components to a web page.
Whenever I publish the movie, I can go into the generated HTML page
with no problems. When I copy/paste the code into the HTML of my
page, Internet Explorer pops up the "IE Has Restricted this file
from showing active content that could access your computer." I've
played around with the code forever but nothing I do has any
affect. The weird thing is that when I copyed my HTML into the
    generated page, it worked.
    How do I fix this?

Its a known issue with IE 6.0 where it prevents active
    content from running
off a local file.. You will get the same error even with
    rollovers.. This
error does not show up once the page is hosted onto a web
    server and is
called through the internet or an intranet ..
However you can fix it on your local computer...

  • How do I switch to Compatibilty View as I could with Internet Explorer?

I'm not able to open programs for my work because the message reads "Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro! ". When I was using Internet Explorer & saw this message, I was able to switch to "Compatibity View" which corrected the problem. I'm not sure how to correct it with Firefox.....

It is not the first time that issues with Web Dynpro are reported on this forum and you may not be able to fix this.

please guide me where i did wrong and what should i answer to my client regarding above issue.
I hope, could you please clearly given points.

    Hi,
Firstly, you should not give the host name and port name of the URLs that you are using. It is your company's security issue.
And the message that you get for the wsdl , when you open in IE is nothing wrong.
The wsdl can be of two types. One is a design time wsd, where you will just see the structure, importing and exporting parameters. It does not have the binding parameters within the wsdl.
When the same wsdl is implemented, then it has a binding with the backend system. It becomes a runnable entity. The wsdl generated from your PI system is one such entity (It is tied to a backend and is a runnable web service). Hence IE shows that message.

    Error message:
    Reference #18.e03c4317.1401151953.127a2c7c

    Hi Dawn,
    Thanks for replying.
    <u>'''nptnt2.dll '''</u>
It is probably not worth worrying about this any further
Your Crash report actually listed the file ''nptnt2.dll'' but not the other two that we would be most interested in.
Research by''cor-el'' suggests the ''nptnt2.dll '' file is in most cases probably left over from having had ''search''.''us''.''com'' something considered potentially unwanted but which is documented.
    <u>'''user.js'''</u>
This is also not critical as long as Firefox is working as you expect.
However it is relatively easy to look at so I will give instructions you can try to follow, and links to help articles related to this.
    Briefly
*The file is in the Firefox profile.
*It may be hidden, as may be the last two letters on the filename.
*It is a short file of ordinary text so relatively easily read.
*It is not ordinarily needed and does not by default exist. <br />Too often its purpose is to make changes to Firefox that you probably do not want, and to make those changes difficult for the average user to reverse.
** As an an aside. <br />It was often used to make the different Firefox searches use something the rogue software wanted you to use. Firefox was however changed recently to give the Firefox user control over this from the search bar.
<u>'''If you want to look at the content of ''user.js'' or disable it'''</u>
We all need to begin somewhere, and I have no idea what you already know. Here is a crash course in improving your computer literacy.
    # First of all make sure at least temporarily Windows is letting you see hidden files, and also it is letting you see the full file name including the extension ''.js'' in the name ''user.js'' see
    #* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders#Windows <br/> complete with screenshots
#*http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions#show-hide-file-name-extensions=windows-7 <br /> You may also wish to click ''show all'' on the inked [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/file-names-extensions-faq#1TC=windows-7 faq page] for an explanation on how to '''rename''' a file and other useful tips about ''file extensions''
    # Now with Firefox open, use the button on the troubleshooting information page to open up your Firefox profile folder.
#* To do so <br > Key in ''about:support'' in the addressbar. Hit the Enter/Return Key on the keyboard. Mouse Click the option that says Open Profile folder (Or something with similar wording)
#* See also <br /> [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data#w_how-do-i-find-my-profile]]'''_how-do-i-find-my-profile''' (Observe the article will scroll to display related profile notes)
    # With Firefox closed. Find the file ''user.js'' in the open profile folder. Rename the file by adding .txt to the name. That disables the file with respect to Firefox settings, and permits you to open it in a text processor such as Notepad by using a right click option.
#* If you need to reuse the file you will need to reverse the file name change. Mostly this sort of work is done with copies of a file not the original.
#* The instruction to rename works even if the ''.js'' is hidden but that makes it difficult to see & understand the real file names.
#* This article explains in more detail what the user.js file is and does <br /> http://kb.mozillazine.org/User.js_file <br /> It includes advanced tips on editing the ''user.js''.
#* ([http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/file-names-extensions-faq see]) Note with Windows the characters after the last dot known as the file extension are used to show he file type and help decide what actions the file may have. '''''dot.txt''''' files will be ordinarily be simple text and can be read by text viewers and text editors. (Probably even viewable from Firefox)

  • Internet Explorer won't let Firefox download. When I click Run, it tells me it's timed out when it reaches 99%

Just bought new laptop and can't install Firefox. The program will run until it gets to 99% completion, then Internet Explorer pops up and says it's timed out.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files.
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files

on my start screen, internet explorer works, but when i pin it to the taskbar, the one on the task bar does not work. When i click on the one on the task bar, internet explorer pops up and everything seems fine, but there is no website. The page is just
a blank white, and i cant go to any other websites. The options are also grayed out except for file and safety. I cant find a way to fix it, i couldve tries reseting it, but the internet options are already grayed out!

on my start screen, internet explorer works, but when i pin it to the taskbar, the one on the task bar does not work.
It may help if you described your procedure for doing that.  E.g. as IECUSTOMIZER notes you could be pinning a website rather than pinning the  iexplore.exe  program.   So, I would say first make sure that you are creating an icon
for the program, e.g. do a search for  iexplore.exe  (that whole filename including its extension) right-click that and see if you have the option to Unpin from the Taskbar.   If not your Taskbar icon will be something other than what you
    may have intended.
The options are also grayed out except for file and safety.
    That description sounds familiar...
