Internet Explorer Privacy Site Allowed equivalent setting in OS X Safari?

I'm assisting a friend with accessing his online tax payment portal from his bank's website using OS X Safari. Under Windows Internet Explorer a site must be added to 'Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Sites>Allowed Site' before the site will load. If the site is not added, a page cannot be found error will occur. On his Mac, I tried looking for a certificate for the website in Key Chain, but couldn't find one. As suggested in another thread about Internet Explorer Trusted Sites and that setting in OS X Safari, I was going to try and change the certificate settings to see if that would help.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Navigate to the site. There should be a small gray padlock icon top right corner of the Safari window. If not, type in the user name (not the password) for the site then you should see the lock icon.
The certificate should drop down for viewing. Click the purple question mark for help.

upon logging into this program open road x3 from the site realeflow.com. I get a msg "navigation to web page has been canceled" so I contacted the tech-support staff. They informed me that in the past this problem has occurred with internet explorer, so they referred your site to me, as a option to get into the web page from their site. In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that,.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

How can I set up multiple tabs to come on at Start-Up, the way that Internet Explorer and Chrome allows one to do?

It appears that Firefox might not have that feature. It's an important feature to me, and I hope I do not have to go back to IE or Chrome to get that Start-Up option. Can anyone tell me if I can set up a variety of tabs with my most-used URLs to open at Start Up?

Firefox can start multiple home pages; they are separated by the "|" keyboard character. The easiest way to set up multiple home pages is to start with no tabs open, then open only the tabs that you want as home pages, then click:
*click Firefox button > Options > Options > General > Use Current Pages
*using the Menu Bar: click Tools > Options > General > Use Current Pages
Be sure on the Options > General tab that

You have an old version of Java Console in your Add-ons > Extensions that you that was not removed by Java when updating. You can easily remove it. The item is:

Why Can I NOT Keep My Internet Explorer "DELETE HISTORY ON EXIT" Set

Ok I have been fighting this every since Windows 8.0 and NO success. Its like Microsoft coded I.E. to still hold onto all of my history and cache even though I have selected "Delete on exit". Also the Advance setting where it caches
sites files etc, NEVER deletes. I can perform the procedure, then close out. Turn off my computer and when I am back into IE. I get the "previous browser session closed yada yada.... do you wish to restore"..
Sure enough, when I 'restore' everything I 'deleted' still there.
and no, I didn't "cold-shut down' the computer where programs were still running (unless it is intentional that i.e. is still running even after ive closed and deleted history MANUALLY over and again)
Is there a better "3rd" party browser to use ?

Internet Explorer will not allow me to download Mozilla Firefox on my computer. Its say the operation has timed out and I can't figure out why...

I have tried saving it to a jump drive and it still will not work. It also does not let me save the file anyhwere else on my hard drive. What is the problem?

Sadly there are some 'bad carriers' out there. If you have a VERY long download(and iPad OS updates can be 100s of megabytes) and the carrier has an interruption in service(router reboots, modem disconnects, etc) iTunes will timeout.
You might want to try updating later in the evening when usage starts to drop off(kids go to bed, people start watching cable instead of Netflix/Hulu) or early in the morning.
The other alternative is to update at a friend's place who might have a better carrier or is on a better subnet

Internet Explorer does not exist for the iPad. Obviously Safari will not work. There are other browsers available that can identify as Internet Explorer and one of those might work for you. However, there is really no way to know unless you try one of those browsers.
iCab Mobile and Atomic will identify as IE, so you could try one of those.

BT supplies you with a Managed Service. For many customers this may be fine - they don't want to be involved in the technical complexities. For others this is less satisfactory - as I think you have found. If you are a technically able customer and wish to manage the functioning of your own networks and PCs, you may have to consider these actions :
1 Replace your Home Hub with a non-BT router. This is because the Hub acts as BT's access gateway to your home network. (This is via a hidden port to which you have no access or visibility).
2 Don't use any of the software on the BT CD, as it's likely this instals client modules of the Motive management system.
3 Don't use Internet Explorer - use Firefox with script filtering tools such as NoScript.

Why does firefox and ebay not support each other. and why when I try to go through internet explorer does fire fox override it .

I am told by ebay that they do not support some issues on firefox. When I try to use internet explorer I am asked to set them as default brouser but then firefox overrides them and I still am on firefox. If this continues then I will have to delete firefox and use only internet explorer

Black border around my flash video in internet explorer

The website that I built, I used Adobe media encoder and flash to make it a .flv file, the website works fine as far as playing the pages with video in Safari and Firefox, when I go to the same website in internet explorer the video plays with a big black border each of my video's, why would that be ? if you have internet explorer the site is dreamdigitalmedia.com

I watched your Chigago Public School and Ogsby Funiture commercials in IE 7 , and didn't see any black borders.
Videos seemed to play fine; although the following error popped up each time:
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.
I responded to the error by hitting the 'continue' button; and it did allow me to play the vids; but you'll probably want to check this out.

Launching Excel Template from BPF Closing Internet Explorer

I am using a BPF and when trying to launch a BPC Excel template from
Internet Explorer rather than opening the Excel template it is
immediately closing down Internet Explorer.
I am using:
BPC Netweaver 7.5 SP7
Internet Explorer version 8.0.7660.16385
Windows 7
A second user in the organization is having the same problem using:
BPC Netweaver 7.5 SP7 Fixpack1
Internet Explorer version 7.0.5730.13
Windows XP
There is a consultant working with us who is NOT having the problem
using:
BPC Netweaver 7.5 SP7
Internet Explorer version 9.0.3
Windows 7
We have explored all options around BPC security and alignment of BPC
versions on our server and machines. Could there possibly be a
security setting in our corporate internet explorer set up that is

In a MDB file, the data are stored as continuous pages with a fixed size. The first page, called database definition page, contains the most important definitions of the database. If the page structure in the MDB file is damaged, for example, several bytes
in the head of the file are lost permanently, Access will not be able to recognize the pages in the file and will report this error. If the database definition page or other important data is damaged, then Access cannot recognize the database format and will
report the error, too.
In a word, as long as Microsoft Access cannot recognize the MDB file as a valid Access database, it will report this error.
You may check if the file is corrupted or used by other user. If yes, please make sure no usres are using the file and do a repair to the database.
I also suspect the file you opened is not load completely.
You may try the following steps to see the result:
1. Clear your browser's cache.
2. I supect this issue is related to permission, you may run IE as administrator for a test.
3. Ensure that the Internet Explorer security settings are not set to high.
4. May be one of your add-ons that causing this. Manage add-ons in Internet Explorer:

5. You could add these addresses to the browser's list of Trusted sites.
Also temporary disable or uninstall the security software such as anti-virus software to see if the issue occurs.

Using Flash Files on Internet Explorer

I have created a web site in Flash MX2004. My .swf files are
embedded in Dreamweaver and then uploaded to the web. The site
works great on Safari, Mozilla, Firefox, but none of the buttons,
roll overs will work unless you click on the browser. There is a
response that comes up that says "Click to activate and use this
control"
Why won't Internet Explorer 7 just allow the site to work
without clicking on the site to make it work. I have read articles
about IEv7 disabling flash - but there are thousands of sites out
there that work - Can Flash 8 enable IE version 7 to read my .swf
files like .htm files?

There is one of two things you can do. Search Adobe for a
download patch/fix for Dreamweaver, or for Flash. There is one for
each program, and it fixes the issue you are describing.
You can also search "dreamerweaver activex fix" or "flash

Why am suddenly unable to view YouTube Videos on Firefox. I am still able to view on Internet Explorer

I am not able to view any YouTube videos on YouTube or Facebook whilst using Firefox. My Flash Player/Plugin/Shockwave Player & Javascript are all the most recent and all show as up to date and working. On selecting a video to view I now have a blank screen which I have right clicked on & notice there is an Adhoc Plus - Block Image message and wonder if this should be there as this is not the case when viewing through Internet Explorer (which still allows me to view all videos & shows that I have Flash Player installed when I right click on the same screen). I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled to see if this would solve the problem but this has made no difference. I have also noticed on my Firewall that Javascript is not showing as an Exception and changed this to find that this has made no difference either. I am now at a complete loss - can anyone help me please as I would like to keep using Firefox. Many thanks

There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
- Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
- Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])

HP Laserjet P1102w - Right side margin cut off when printing in Internet Explorer 9! URGENT PROBLEM*

I have just purchased a new printer (HP Laserjet P1102W), and when I print a web page in Internet Explorer 9, the footer (I set to the URL) does not print at all and the header will print though the right hand edge of my entire web page is cut off (including my top right header - Pages ? of ?).
I always use Print Preview first, and in the print preview it looks perfect. I always tick the box to enable shrink to fit too. Why will it look perfect in 'Print Preview' but yet when it prints, it cuts off the right hand side edge of the page and doesnt print the footer?? I have tried adjusting margins, etc... all to no avail.
I would like to check whether others have this same problem?
I spoke to HP (UK Printer Support) and they said it is Internet Explorer 9's problem. I have left a message on the Microsodt Web forum which you can see here. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_vista/internet-exploer-9-not-printing-header...
I am hoping they may release a patch / hotfix - but this has to be affecting many other users of this printer too? The more of us that complain, the quicker it will get sorted.

I spoke with Microsoft technical support via phone today. Between us - we seemed to have found the problem.
It's to do with the DPI (the font size) settings in Windows!?
I have mine set to 188% on my Windows Vista mahcine and 200% on my Windows 7 laptop.
From my Printing tests in Internet Explorer 9...
at 100 % DPI – it prints perfectly
at 150% DPI – it prints perfectly
at 200% DPI – the right side of the margin is cut off, and no footer is printed – despite it looking perfect in the Print Preview.
I am using http://uk.msn.com/ as my test print outs.
This indicates when the DPI is changed above 150%, IE9 doesn't print properly – though other browsers like Safari or Firefox do print correctly. This surely has to indicate a bug in either the Windows operating system or Internet Explorer 9?
Microsoft are going to run their own tests and phone me back tomorrow...hopefully with a solution!
Hope this helps any others with the same problem at the moment!
Would be great if HP could provide a soloution asap - surely a tweak to the Printer dirvers will fix the problem?
