  • Internet Explorer 7 might be in conflict with Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex !

I have noticed from trial and error, that whenever I switch on the Computer, activate the Internet Explorer for surfing Internet, the IE7 is not running smoothly rather erratically. As it Internet Explorer 7 is getting some resistance from any conflicting software installed. Upon running the IE7 at no-adds-on-mode I have identifed two such applications., (i) Roxio Drive Letter Access BHO. and  (ii) Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex. About (i) I have disabled through Windows Defender, but on (ii) I am lacking any direction. How this can be made compatible with IE7 ?  I will be much helped should any experienced person can advice me.

    Hey sdalek,
It's actually not all sites. I've found a few that work. I'll have a look for any difference in implementation to try to narrow down the issue.

Thanks, I'm curious to find out what's different. I've repair disk permissions again using the one in Disk Utility instead of Cocktail with not luck As far as I can tell, all my issues seem to be occurring solely on www.adultswim.com and is sill happening with Camino, Firefox, Safari, and SWF & FLV Player. I'll keep checking other sites to see if the problem manifests itself elsewhere and I'll post any other changes I make to my system that might appear to help.

  • Just Let Me Download the Adobe Flash Player Please for Windows 8

I have Windows 8 on my laptop and there is no adobe flash player on my computer.  I have Adobe Reader X instead and when I try to download from Adobe.com I keep getting information for checking for the flash player.  I know I don't have it on my system.  Why can't I just download the flash player? Please help me!

Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher.  Pixsta may be making an assumption that no longer holds true on Windows 8 or higher.  You'd need to consult with their technical support for a resolution, sorry.

  • Is it safe to download the Adobe Flash Player to my macbook

Is it safe to download Adobe Flash Player to my macbook?  If so, any recomendations?

Adobe Flash Player is listed in my system preferences in 'Other.'  I updated from there.  Is that not a good idea?
That's perfectly okay. You just don't want to click mystery links in e-mail messages, on web sites or click buttons in unsolicited Flash update warnings. These things have been problems in the past. In all such cases, ignore it and go update Flash from Adobe's web site or through System Preferences.
I do most of my updates from my 'Software Update."  Is that also not to be trusted?  And checking for updates in the menu of third party software?
Those should also be fine, though don't do this sort of thing on an unknown public wireless network. Sometimes, such networks can be set up with the express purpose of getting people to join and then fooling their computers into downloading fake updates. Do your updates on known, trusted networks, such as your own home network.
I also went to the firefox link you suggested (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ ).  It indicates that my Shockwave Flash and Java Applet Plug-in are outdated.
Shockwave is not quite the same. You can install (or update) it separately here:
    http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
However, I have never had a Shockwave plugin installed on my computer. There's very little Shockwave content on the web these days. You may do better to simply uninstall it.
Regarding Java, you MUST update it as quickly as possible! See:
    Java is vulnerable… Again?!
If you have Java enabled in your web browser, it may be worth scanning your hard drive for malware using something like Sophos.

  • Internet Explorer will not let me download the entire program. How can I fix this?

IE will let me download 99% of it, then stops. It will not finish.

I suspect there is some background to what you are doing about which we do not know.  Re-installed operating system?
The error also doen't make sense to me. I have read people saying they cannot update because itunes says there is a newer version already on the computer, but not because it says there is an older version on the computer.  Are you sure you have your versions straight?

  • Please fix the adobe flash player intergrity check error as soon as possible..

Earlier I did not have this problem but now when I download the adobe flash player , the adobe download manager says at 100% that the flash player did not pass the intergrity check. I tryed every possible solution but nothing is working , it seems there is something wrong with the web page that offers the flash player download.
    this is how it happens
adobe DLM starts downloading the flash player
    stucks at 2.2%
    reconnects & starts downloading
    stucks at 4.7%
    reconnects & starts downloading
then at 100% an message appears saying that the flash player did not pass the intergrity check..
if I resume the download process it goes on & repeats the same thing
or if I stop the download process then it stops but the flash player completion movie appears saying that I have install flash player version 8 ! ( pretty weird )
I hope adobe will take immediate action for this.
    Thank you.

Thanks it worked ! , but I need to know why I cant download it using adobe DLM as usual ?  because this wasn't a problem earlier about 3 weeks ago
this happened after re-installing the operative system ( but I have installed the flash player using DLM many times after re-installing the OS , therefore this was not a problem )
my OS is windows XP service pack 2
web browser - internet explorer 6
    additional information -
I installed the flash player using DLM for mozila firefox in the normal way & it worked perfectly , no errors at all.  it seems this problem arises only for internet explorer. I even tryed the installation after upgrading IE 6 to IE 8 , but the problem is still there
anyway thank you very much for the alternative download link.

  • Can't download free Adobe Flash Player - Help

I tried to download free Adobe Flash Player or Adobe Reader (is the same) and appears in the screen the following message:
"GetPlus+(R) The specified software requires a recent version of windows" and I can't proceed with instalation. I have already done a virus verification with Kasperky and it's OK. I have Windows XP (SP3) and Internet Explorer 7.
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi, Don't use that DLM(download manager) since it can cause a problem.
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)
Disable any Realtime Anti-Virus until you have finished Uninstalling and Installing Flash Player
Be sure to use the Administrator Account.
Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
Check to make sure the Anti-Virus is still Disabled
Run the Installer for IE,  and when finished, Reboot.
    Re-enable your Anti-Virus
Then go to this test site and test each browser:
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
You may want to print these instructions to make it easier to follow. If you have any questions, let me know.

  • Problems with the Adobe Flash Player

    Hi
I`m trying to install the Adobe Flash Player, but, after I download the App and click, a text appear instead of the installer app. What is happening?

  • Trying to install latest version of Flash for Firefox on WinXP, get Internet Explorer Script Error

I'm trying to install the latest version of Flash (filename install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe), browser = Firefox 14 (current), OS = Windows XP.  I've tried multiple times, making sure to disable Norton Antivirus Autoprotect first.
At some point along the process - either during download or during installation - I get the following error message:
    Internet Explorer Script Error
    Line: 1
    Char: 10010
    Error: 'ActionLaunchAdobe' is undefined
    Code: 0
    URL: http://127.0.0.1:1174/app/_js/adobe.js
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? [yes] [no]
Whether I answer [yes] or [no] the result is the same - the program hangs. It does not close, and when I close it manually it asks if I really want to stop it. But if I leave it there, nothing happens.
Per advice of the website, I uninstalled Flash in order to start over fresh. What that means is that, instead of having an outdated version of Flash, I now have none.
I've tried to RTFM but searches for this error come up empty.  I'm curious why Internet Explorer is being involved in this to begin with. But mostly, I'm just curious how to get this thing to work.
Thanks for whatever help you can give me.
    Dave

We're investigating this issue and we'd like to get some additional details.  I'd appreciate if anyone experiencing these errors could do the following steps:
    Download the Flash Player installer
Open a command prompt and navigate to the installer location (eg. "cd c:\users\username\downloads\")
    Run the installer, using a “/debug”.argument  (eg. “install_flashplayer11x32ax_chrd_aih.exe /debug”)
Once the installer runs and the error is reproduced, a file named “host.developer.log” will be created in your system’s temp folder.
You can quickly access the temp folder by clicking on Start > Run, then type "%temp%".
Locate the "host.developer.log" file and either post the contents in a reply or send directly to [email protected]
Along with the debug log, please include the following info:
Operating System (if you're on XP, what service pack do you have installed)
    Browser
    Network proxy setup (if applicable)
    Thanks!
    Chris
