Internet Explorer Versions

Hi,
I know this is not the place to be asking this kind of
question, however I also know the people that look at the questions
here are more likley to know the answer to this question.
Does anyone know how install IE 5.5, IE 6 and IE7 all on the
same machine, without conflicts between them. I have tried doing
this, but after installing IE 7, IE 6 would use the rendering of IE
7 and IE 5.5 hadd some cookie issues.
Can anyone help?

There are ways of running multiple versions of IE, however,
I've not
seen any of them work with Beta of IE7. Given the way the IE7
Beta has
been corrupting the Windows registry, I'd suggest you avoid
it until it
gets to be a bit more stable.

Try reporting this issue at a forum/mailinglist/issuetracker devoted to the specific component library you're using.
I guess you mean it as part of the Woodstock component library. They have an issuetracker.

Do you want to install IE on a Bootcamp/Windows or OSX? OSX does not have IE anymore. The last IE was v4.0 for native OSX.

I have a GP scenario, which is built on Java Webdynpro, with the views desiged with the interactive form. Everything seems to work perfect when i work on the Internet Explorer Version 6. But when i use Version 7 and above none of the parameters pass from one user to other.. Is there any specific reason for this?

i have the same problem. there is a program that works. it calls KX project.. it works.. i have too. but i think the music not even powerfull as the original program. my bass it not loud enough.. with KX can i not turn it up.. only with my system. :S mayby is there a other alternatief program.. sorry for the complicaded english

You can read the User-Agent header using request.getUserAgent() or request.getHeader("User-Agent") in your jsp or servlet.

Internet Explorer versions for 5.1.9

We have a system that is running Business Objects 5.1.9.
We need to update to Internet Explorer version 7 from 6.
I have searched all over for the relevant documenation without success.
Can anyone help point in the direction of the documentation.
We need to understand if there will be any issues but are short of development environments to test it.

However, I would highly recommend using Wamcom Mozilla instead. You can stop popup advertisements, and it is much better support of many newer websites than Internet Explorer on Mac OS 9. It can be found here:

Using it though, I'd close the left sidebar for most optimized speed.

Report to show major Internet Explorer version

There's many posts relating to an accurate way of reporting on which version of Internet Explorer is being used by a PC. It is not made easy by the fact that some versions are recorded in Add/Remove programs, while other versions aren't, and there
seems to be some dependency on whether it was installed with the O/S or later upgraded via WSUS etc etc.
Here's the report I've creating (using file versions of iexplore.exe) - which works OK, but what I'd really like is if I could 'roll up' the results into a count of major versions. So instead of having seperate lines for 7.00.6000.16386 and 7.00.6000.17055
(for instance), it just gives me one line for v7, one for v8 etc.
Any ideas how this could be achieved?

I need Internet Explorer version 6 or higher

My jobs site requires it, I've already tried:

Internet Explorer 5.2
FireFox 2.0.0.2
Safari 3.0.4
and it wont work on any of those, what can I do?

There is no Mac version of Internet Explorer 6.0.
What IE has a verison that works with a PC/Windows.
If it must be Internet Explorer and that it must be 6.0 or higher then you need to run windows either via boot camp on an intel based Mac or a PC.
I am surprised that Firefox couldn't do the job. Do you have all the necessary plugins installed with firefox which may have allowed you to run the script that your work requires?

Why Can't Older Internet Explorer Versions Be Self-Destructed?

Web Designers And Developers Always Have To Pay The Price For Older Browsers, esp. older I.E versions. Lot's of people especially old folks and computer illiterates still use them due to the fact they know very little About Browsers
and updates, Why Can't All the Older Unsupported version be Killed.

Same way browsers or any other software get prompted(their users get prompted) there's a new version once they connect to the web, then told they should click 'update' to update, all users of older browsers would be prompted "this
browser is just stupidly outdated, it'll self-destruct in 10 secs, and the latest supported version would be downloaded automatically, sit back and enjoy" Problem solved!

What does the 'IS' denote in Internet Explorer version 11.0.9600.1750is

Developers in your company probably get the MS Version of IE and update with WU regularly. Workstations probably get a customized version through IEAK distribution (es suffix). Contact your system administrators to find out the distribution and update methods

Your or most probably the workstations IE settings are different to yours. Ensure that both browser versions are accepting the same default settings.

Internet Explorer version list?

Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask a question like this but is there a list of IE versions anywhere?
Basically after the security patch for the latest vulnerability I'm trying to find an extremely simple way for our average users who aren't on the domain to check if they have the patch. Looking for one of three KB's in windows updates is honestly
too much for some of them.
I figured checking the version via the help menu would be easy enough but near as I can tell their is no centralized list of what the latest version they should be on. The closest is a Wikipedia article from November of last year.
Any recommendation would be of great help,

9.3.1 supports IE7 according to the Hyperion documentation.
We are only using 9.2.1 so I can't offer much more assistance.

I was using the IE V6.0 and was deploying the web dynpro objects. It was running fine.Now that my server has got a latest version ie IE V 7.0 I am not able to deploy the objects. It says the "Sorry your Browser/Program is not supported by Webdynpro"
Please let me know what is problem and what changes are required.
