Internet Explorer won't let Firefox download. When I click Run, it tells me it's timed out when it reaches 99%
Just bought new laptop and can't install Firefox. The program will run until it gets to 99% completion, then Internet Explorer pops up and says it's timed out.
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files.
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Firefox works and is default browser. but,internet explorer starts trying to come on,i know this because my clock stops,all processes slow,i start to shut things down,this warning appears:InternetExplorer is not responding. When this starts to happen, I hit ctrl, alt, delete thinking maybe something is processing that is slowing me down, and it does not show anything that I am not working on., however I try to put my cursor on the bottom row , like the clock icon or start button and it does the "twirlly" thing showing something is processing. I just keep messing with it till It shows me the warning... I mentioned above about internet explorer not responding. hope this helps.I suspect you have some application, or maybe malware using IE. Normally if firefox is the default browser it would be used. It may of course be that something such as security software is set to use only IE and is running updates using IE.

I suspect there is some background to what you are doing about which we do not know. Re-installed operating system?
The error also doen't make sense to me. I have read people saying they cannot update because itunes says there is a newer version already on the computer, but not because it says there is an older version on the computer. Are you sure you have your versions straight? -

Go to Start>Control Panel>Internet Options>Privacy (tab) There should be a bar & it might work if you make it lower. You could go to the advanced tab too & uncheck some of the security blocking things

Yes, you need to close all instances of Internet Explorer during the installation, as well as any other applications that use Flash Player (messengers, chat clients, skype, etc). -

If you are running iOS 4, you will need to update the iPad via iTunes on your computer (can't do OTA updates unless you have iOS 5 or higher).
If you have a first generation iPad, unfortunately you won't be able to update to iOS 6 (iOS 5 is the highest you can update to on the original iPad).
If you are on an iPad 2, 3, or 4th generation with iOS 5 and it still isn't working, try holding down on both the Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding it until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of the buttons. This “reset” fixes a lot of iPad issues and might work to resolve the update issue. Try updating again.

Do you have enough funds in your bank account?
otherwise iTunes sometimes black lists card if there are too many fradulent purchases
Reason why they might black list a card is possibly you call in for alot of fradulent purchases
One more reason can be because iTunes does actually limit the amount you can change payment methods

All downloads from iTunes are tied to the account that downloaded it, you can't re-download content via a different account. You checked the spam folder on yourr old account as well as the Inbox, and depending upon how long ago you did it, have you retried getting it reset : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password' ?

Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

I purchased a tv series and downloaded the first episode, when I went to download the next episode a message popped up saying "this computer is already associated with an apple id.....You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 41 days" and won't let me download the rest of the shows even though I haven't changed accounts and I'm using the same account I purchased the shows with.
It's been months, so you may not care anymore, but you can't download songs from multiple Apple IDs over a 90 days period. Sorry, it's not allowed for legal reasons.

When trying to download apps on my new iPad I keep getting prompted to update my security questions for my safety. When I choose this option it freezes and won't load the questions, however, when I hit not now it won't let me download. What do I do?
Reboot your iPad and then see if you can set the security questions.

Running Firefox. Won't let me download lion upgrade
Trying to upgrade to lion from snow leopard 10.6. Firefox is not recognizing the site and won't let me download the upgrade. Any suggestions.
The upgrade is downloaded in the App Store application, Neither Firefox or Safari is used for this.
