Internet Help Needed!
My warranty just expired, and I am having trouble with my internet. I know it is not a router problem because the other computers in the home are not having difficulty. My computer will connect to the internet and then after a few minutes it goes offline but says it is online. If I go to Open Network Preferences and click Turn Airport Off and then click Turn Airport On it recconnects... but only for a few more minutes and then I repeat the cycle. Any idea what is wrong and how I can fix it??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If your computer is only 3 years old it isn't a G5, all G5's stopped production about 2005-2006. This would also make your machine a PPC (PowerPC) based machine. All Mac from about mid 2006 on have been Intel based machines. To find out what you have click the Apple symbol in the upper left corner and select About this Mac. This will tell you a lilttle about what iMac you have. If the machine is PPC based then please re-post to the correct forum. If you find you have a Intel based machine then open System Profiler (Applications - Utilities - System Profiler) and post the info on the first page, DO NOT put in your serial number for your own security! It will look similar to:

From that information we can tell a little more about what you have. BTW you do not need an Airport Base Station, any router should do assuming it is up-to-date with it's firmware. If you need a new router you can buy Airport Extreme or Airport Express routers refurbished from Apple starting at $79.

Help Needed - Even after lodging "Presidential Complaint"
Help needed please!!To make a long story short I have been through nothing but aggravation the past week trying to get my phone working. Service call on 7/6 to install Fios Internet, TV and phone. Internet and TV work fine, but Phone has no dial tone, going on a week and a half now. Tried contacting the account rep who set up my account, her supervisor as well as tech support on numerous occassions.
They set a dispatch for yesterday, and when the tech called me to say he was here, he was at an address i moved out of 4 years ago, in another state.I get a call from someone saying the service request was being closed and I need to call in with the correct address, after telling that rep I would not do that, that Verizon should make the updates based on my TV/Internet records, she hung up on me. Called back into Tech Support and the best they could do was an appointment for tomorrow. I then called the Corporate number and spoke with someone who opened a "Presidential Complaint" and requested an expedited call.. well i have heard nothing since then other than an automated call earlier today sayin my original service request will be kept. Needless to say I'm very upset that after a week and a half I still have no phone service and it doesn't seem like anyone is real willing to help me. I'm sure I'll get billed in full even though one of the 3 services I'm paying for hasn't been working in a week and a half..Hi jkoen77,

Problems with getting internet help in Elements 2.0
I have Windows XP and Photoshop Elements 2.0. When I opened up the Elements program it gave an error http://cgi..tform=ODLLVER=2.8.3.3AOMVER=2.8.3.3 check Internet Control Panel. Not sure what it is saying to do. The program seems to be working except when I search and it brings up the topic box, you can't pull up any information when you click on the topic. Also, I tried help and Photoshop Elements Help but when you click on it, it doesn't bring up anything. For some reason, it seems I have lost the internet help but I can pull up other web sites on the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions?
There is no "internet help" in PE 2. The help files are html files stored on your computer that you access with your web browser. What do you have set for your default browser? If it is something like AOL you may need to change the default to IE.

I would like to need a solution for my university assignment ,
I want to create a web service which provides necessary interfaces to create, read (query), update, and delete data from relational db.
It fully utilizes the XML from the database all the way to the web service clients and create web pages that consume the same XML for data entry. i want to acomplish this assignment in J2EE using WebLogic.
I found lot of tools & api's on internet, but need help to suggest that wchih is best for this task & also need some good help to accomplish it more n more easily.
tools & apis are:
1) DB2XML ---> only cretae xml from db & also use "table based mapping"
2)XML-DBMS
3)Hit software's ---> Allora (don't know much about it)
4) Java api WebRowSet
questions:1) which are the best tools and software packages to be used to faciliate creation and maitenance of the XML schema and keeping it in sync with the database?
2)any good tools to create the database schema directly from the XML. Are there tools out there to generate a database access layer based on the XML?
3) Is any one have good java Webrowset example to accomplish that taks(get data from relational db send it to clint as xml using webservice & if client make changes in xml than it sync back the info in relational db)?

T400 - Accidentaly formatted the disk 1 (IMD-0) partition in disk management - Help Needed
Hello,
Initially when I re-formatted my computer to get rid of the factory image, I found that there was a hidden partition of 1.37GB which I could not touch, meaning i could not delete. I ignored it at that time and formatted my computer and reinstalled vista business on it using the license i got from lenovo. Now after some days, I was kind of getting concerned as to what exactly was the 1.37Gb partition on my computer. I guess I was getting worried as to why I was not able to reclaim that space for normal use. Today, I tried to reclaim it, by deleting the volume, thinking it should merge into the unallocated space, that I have on my primary hard drive. But it did not. However, what happened was that this space of 1.37GB did start showing up on My Computer, once I formatted it using NTFS. I then checked its properties in My Computer and it had an option of readyboost. I selected the option which says use this disk for readyboost, and immediately in no time, the disk was full with on 68MB remaining as free space. It also has an icon of readyboost in the drive, when I double-click it. This is when I figured that this space could be on a separate physical disk. I did some research and found out that this drive or device or chip, is listed as Disk-1 in disk management and as IMD-0 under Disk Drives in Device Manager. I googled about it, and found that it was related to the turbo memory. Now, I believe that turbo memory would be a separate flash chip, which would be hardwired to function in a particular way (enabling boosting speeds), and that it would be non-accessible to users from within windows for formatting or doing anything else. Hence, I also believe that the space which I reclaimed, is existing on my primary 320GB hard drive and is used in addition to the turbo memory, as a cache, to boost speeds. However, since I do not understand the turbo memory concept very well, I would really appreciate if someone could explain how the turbo memory works, i.e. including IMD-0 and all that. And the main help I need is on how to hide the 1.37GB partition again, and put it in a format that it was earlier in, and usable for turbo memory. At present I do not know if it is being used by turbo memory or not, but below is the current status of the turbo memory:
1. In Device manager, under disk drives, IMD-0 shows up, and in properties it just says device type -- disk drive. Now I read somewhere that it should say NVCACHE, but it does not say that on my pc, under any tabs of the properties of IMD-0. Can someone help me putting it back there.
2. Under Disk Management, it says Local Disk H:, 1.37GB NTFS, Healthy (Active, Primary Partition). I don't exactly remember, but I guess prior to me formatting it, it said unallocated. Help needed here too.
3. In the Turbo memory controller, it says Windows readyboot enabled, Windows Readydrive enabled, 2GB
and below that I have checkboxes for enabling windows readyboost and readydrive checked.
So guys, can please anyone help me in re-hiding the 1.37GB partition and making it in the state it was before.

If you start, as you already have, with the newest driver, things just dont work quite right in my opinion. -

Firstly,?i cant update to the latest driver.
if i update...everytime i try to press any of the buttons(Game mode, x-fi?CMSS 3D, x-fi crystalizer) on the I/O front panel console.
i seem to lose control of I/O front panel console. i cant control the Main volume,Mic volume or any of my 3 modes using my I/O front panel console,?i can only change them through creative console launcher
secondly,
everytime i try change my recording device to "microphone FP". it keeps jumping back to "microphone" which apparently is the port on the sound card itself.
its kinda stupid to use the mic port on the sound card rather than the I/O front panel port being i paid such a high price for it mainly because of its specs but partially cause it has a I/O front panel.
someone please help me with this problem cause creative technical support hasnt been able to solve my problem

After playing with it for a while at my local Fry's store where they put 5DMII, 5DMIII and 6D next to each other, using the same 24-105L lens, I decided to get the 6D and pocket the different for lens later.
I'm upgrading from the 30D. So I think you'll love it. It's a great camera. I have used 5DMII extensively before (borrowing from a close friend).
Funny thing is at first I don't really care about the GPS and Wifi much. I thought they're just marketing-gimmick. But once you have it, it is actually really fun and helpful. For example, I can place the 6D on a long "monopod", then use the app on the phone to control the camera to get some unique perspective on some scenes. It's fun and great. GPS is also nice for travel guy like me.

Help needed! I hava made bootable RAID with two S-ATAII 250Gb HDD and its not working! Every now and then at bootup I get a message RAID -> DEGRADED... Must be seventh time! Rebuild takes its own time!
What am I doing wrong!

P.S. I wery SORRY with my poor language!I'm going to blame the nVRAID because I've seen issues with it in the past. If your motherboard has another non-nVidia RAID solution, use that instead. Using the nVidia SATA ports as BASE or JBOD is fine and dandy but RAIDing always had issues. It's not even a driver issue I think it's just instability. Latest drivers and even boxed drivers never helped. Granted, some will report success with their rig. But on a professional level I've seen nForce issues on different motherboards and different hard drives that had RAID disaster stories.
Good luck and if you don't have another RAID solution, my suggestion would be to buy a dedicated RAID controller card.

Help needed on installation of Oracle 9i on Sun Solaris 8

Help needed on installation of Oracle 9i EE on Sun Solaris 8. The problem I met was: we followed the installation guide from the documentation. And we selected the choice "install software only". After it was done successfully, we run Database Configuration Assistant utility to create a database instance. But finally it always tried to create the instance at the root directory ( / ) which doesn't have enough space and then failed. The case was that we have set the enviroment parameters: $ORACLE_BASE = /export/mydata, $ORACLE_HOME = /export/apps/oracle9i. That means it should be installed at /export/mydata, but it didn't. Any help or advice are welcome. Thanks.
SimonI have downloaded Oracle 11G R2 version from Windows and extracted it in Windows and copied it into DVD after extraction in two folders. Now I am mounting that DVD in Solaris 10 installed in my VMware . I made a new directory named as 'installation ' under /export/home/oracle and copied the folders from DVD to 'installation' folder. Now I am entering installation folder and try to do ./runInstaller as 'oracle ' user and getting the error mentioned before.
