I'm actually surprised that Apple continues to push out 8.02 without addressing these issues. The problem will only anger more users and certainly finger-poking at Airplane Mode isn't the answer. This is an iOS8 code problem and no amount of 'resetting' is providing a reliable fix/solution that sticks.
These issues with loss of cell connectivity, apps that have lost functionality, etc., which are all directly associated to the arrival of iOS8, are so widespread in the user community and pervasive within individual iPads that it's clear there are significant fundamental problems with this release. Given the problems are so blatant, it's fair to ask the question of how they got by the Apple validation team.
What is the status at Apple on rolling out a fully V&V'd version to resolve this? Respectfully, when it comes to some of my more useful apps, my personal iPad has become a paperweight. The user forums are full of these iOS8 complaints for several weeks and there doesn't seem to be a competent answer from Apple. Even a "We're aware and we're working on it" would be well received.
Any hope that you can provide will be appreciated. (I'll be monitoring the thread on my Dell laptop because, well, my iPad is i-Inop!).

In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -

Have you tried restarting the iPad? You will more than likely be starting over again with the setup process but you may be able to use the "later" option if you start all over again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
I have an HP ProBook 4520s. I have been using HP Protect tool's Password manager to store and manage my passords for all Login websites in Firefox 3.6. As a result, I just swiped my fingerprint to log on to any website.
After I installed the version 4 of Firefox, my all my login details do not work anymore. I have tried to reset them but I repeatedly get this error: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (dpql) isn't associated with any program."

Although the password manager works with Internet Explorer 9, I need it to work with Firefox 4 as this is my preferred browser.

I'm having a problem with the scanner in that the output after scanning cannot be displayed and is accompanied with an error message : Cannot write file. Code 10,242,7. This occurs when scanning documents and images. My operating system Windows XP (32). Can anyone please help me solve this problem? Thank you.
Hello. Please try the following adjustment to see if we can resolve this issue: 1. Open the IJ Scan Utility from your Desktop or the Canon Utilities listing of the Start Menu.2. Click Settings.3. On the left, choose the Auto Scan tab.4. Click the Defaults button on the lower right.5. Continue this process with each tab on the left.6. Click OK at the bottom of the Settings menu. When launching Lr i get the initial screen to come up followed by an "error while changing modules" pop up. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded, followed all the suggested trouble shooting fixes and still nothing. When the app starts it has the basic info boxes but without any options in them (i.e. no import button or any buttons at all for that matter).All my other creative cloud apps seem to be working fine but Lr won't. Please help

You'll need to reinstall Reader if the libraries aren't registered. You can't register them manually.
Perhaps if you posted some of your code (where it creates the objects, etc.) we might be able to give you some more advice. You're sure you aren't trying to use anything outside of the AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF class? -
I installed bootcamp 4.0 4033 so that I can install windows 7 32 bit on my mac. Everything works fine until I try to install the drivers and I get an error message stating the version of windows does not work with the drivers I am trying to install. I have a feeling somehow I am downloading 64 bit drivers when I need 32 bit. I spoke to Apple and they said I can't use 32 bit windows.. but that is not what the support site says (it says I can as long as I use bootcamp 4, not 5). Also, my bootcamp assistant is version 5.. I have no idea if that matters. Help please.. been searching online for hours.

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. hi. my error message is very close to this except it says 10,243,7 cannot read file instead of write file. i tried all the fixes listed here in this forum as well as just about everything else everyone else on here has listed on the net and even called canon and tried all their fixes as well to no avail. any ideas?

I checked the forums at NI and found a similar problem with a computer with Windows Vista installed. I have Windows XP Professional installed on the computer, but tried the update through the self updating feature of the NI software.
After the update the problem remains exactly the same.
To find out more about the error, I checked several Windows properties to identify the cause of the problem. One thing I found was on the Services control, under Administrative Tools. After the error message during boot, the services window shows up 2 services whose status is "Stopping" and the startup type is "Automatic". This services are:
Lookout Citadel Driver
National Instruments Time Sincronization

I tried the steps suggested but the problem remained. I then decided to try some aditional steps and apparently the problem is solved. I describe the steps I took bellow.
The problem was related to my antivirus / firewall solution, Panda Antivirus + Antispyware 2007.
1. I changed the previously mentioned Windows services startup to "Manual" instead of "Automatic".
2. Rebooted the computer.
3. Opened the services control in Administrative Tools.
4. Selected the first service "Citadel..." and pressed the "Start" button.
5. After a few seconds, the firewall solution presented a window stating that the program was attempting to access the internet (or my LAN). I selected "Always allow".
6. I repeated this step for all the others NI services. Some produced the same feedback, others didn't.
7. Changed the startup type of the services to the values I had written down before.
8. Rebooted the computer and everything worked fine.
It seems my firewall solution is unable to cope with a program trying to access the Internet (or network) before a user logs in.

I can't sync my iPhone movies. I have 3 movies but now I am getting an error message that says some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied becuase they could not be found. Two of the movies are from the iTunes store and one is froma movie recently purchased.
Had the same issue, found a solution.
The iTunes Store open in my iTunes was U.S. and the apps on my iPad are from Switzerland's store. So I went to iTunes Store in iTunes, then opened the App Store tab and at the bottom right of this tab clicked the round american Flag button. Changed to Switzerland, went to Store>Authorize this computer (which it did sucessfully) and after that syncronization worked great. Hope this helps -
