I have the iPhone 4 recently became weak Wi-Fi where I can not use the Internet only when sitting Bejjani router, Can anyone help me in solving this problem please
iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.3There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
In particular, pay attention to the mobile device support sections near the bottom, assuming you have already done the items above it. -
i am using a GLOBE prepaid microsim for my new ipad with retina. i was registered with supersurf 999, and i was able to enjoy my internet connection until i updated my ios with 6.1... since then, every time i go online,it says i am not registered with mobile internet... however, when i insert the microsim on my broadband, i can actually go online... what to do??? my apn setting in internet.globe.com.ph which is for prepaid users...
PS - I just sent this to a few of my friends in the big hardware review sites, as well as a few apple execs:
Whats up guys? Its your old buddy dom "battleship mtron author , 9 ssd drives in raid 0" years ago. lol
I wanted to fill you in on a HUGE problem with the new ios 6 update.
My iphone 4 updated without a hitch.
My ipad 3 on the other hand has a HUGE PROBLEM. It is essentially a brick without wifi (since the device relies on wifi for just about every task).
There are currently hundreds of a users within the last 2 hours reporting the same error on the apple discussions site.
https://discussions.apple.com/message/19626235#19626235
What happens is simple:
1. Download and install the update on Ipad 3.
2. Try and connect to your normal wifi connection.
3. It will connect for a few seconds and than fail stating "no internet connection available"
4. It is no a brick without wifi accessibility. (unless we revert to ios 5)
I have tried resetting my router. Resetting settings on the ipad. Renewing the ip address both LOCALLY and through the WAN at the cable modem and rebooting all of my networking equipment (ie: router), I even tried doing a complete wipe and re-install of ios 6 fresh. You guys know I am a tech geek from my background and I have tried everything so I just wanted to fill you in on this potential problem for apple.

Comcast Cable Internet not working with router (WRT54G), but network is fine?
My Comcast Cable Internet is not working with my router (WRT54G), but my home network is fine. The internet works without router.
I have a WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router from Linksys.
I was using Bellsouth DSL Internet up until two weeks ago.
I had my DSL modem connected to my router, and the router let me use the internet and share some files and printers with my laptop upstairs.
A few weeks ago we changed to Comcast cable. The technician came in and connected it himself, but only for the desktop. The internet worked perfectly, and still works perfectly on my desktop (the one downstairs). He didn't really give me any instruction or CD-roms for it.
When I tried connecting my router, the internet stopped working. It was weird because the router worked for the file sharing and printer sharing between both my computers, but the internet didn't work. Although, the light for the internet is lit on the router itself.
I even have this program called "AOL Network Magic" which shows a map of what is connected to the router, and it shows that the router and my laptop and desktop are connected, but then it has an "X" for the internet connection.
I have tried everything. I lost all of my CDs and things that came with Linksys, but I downloaded some guides from the Linksys website and it doesn't really help. I tried something called "NetSet", but after I set everything up it says my router is not compatible or something with NetSet. I read a bunch of FAQs, I tried going to comcast and seeing if they had any FAQS about it, but I can't find anything.
Maybe one of you can help me?
Also, I don't know my modem's IP address. I had it for Bellsouth, and sometimes when I would lose my connection I would go there and click on "reconnect" or something like that.
So the only way I can use the internet is to disconnect everything from my router and connect the ethernet cable directly to the modem. You may open the web setup utility page of the router by typing its IP address on your browser's address bar. By default, it is 192.168.1.1. When you're asked for username, you may leave it blank. For password, its "admin". If in case that does not work, reset your router at the back for 30 secs and do a power cycle again, see if it becomes accessible after that...

How can I use my time capsule as a time machine backup without using it wirelessly and not as a wireless router?
bzb888 wrote:
I have a wireless transmitter already, would like to use the capsule just as a back up drive, I tried hooking up from the ethernet port on the imac to the one of the ports on the capsule but then my Wifi would not work. do I hook the cable to the port with the circle or the arrows?
It is better to have the TC as part of the main network in bridge. You do not need to run wireless.
If you want to use the TC plugged in by ethernet and still use wireless for internet, that is possible but the setup is rather more complicated.. the computer must not get confused about which device to use as a gateway or dns server.
See info in this thread on setting this up.
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4817218?tstart=30
I need to add.. a USB drive would be cheaper, faster and more reliable. It is really poor use of a TC. -
Web Pages not loading on Mobile Devices
Browsing web pages not working on mobile devices
I have bt inifinity 2, from my laptop and mac (with same wifi connection) webpages load no problem, from my android tablet and iphone (with same wifi connection) web pages not loading. On these devices I can load youtube videos, and apps have connections/load data, it seems to be limited just to browsing webpages.
I have tried changing ssid for the 2 channels, I have tried disabling wifi on the router, and using apple time capsule as the router, everything seems to result in the same problem, you cannot browse web pages on mobile devices.
previously i had adsl from bt and didnt have these issues.

Hello .. I've been subscribed for ic;oud for 20$ per year and I found it useless for many reasons: that I can not disconnect my mobile while the uploading process and it takes long time for uploading my data .. Its not a reliable system that's why I need to deactivate the space service and take my money back .. Thanks
The "issues" you've raised are nothing to do with the iCloud service.
No service that uploads data allows you to disconnect the device you are uploading from while uploading data. Doing so would prevent the upload from completing. It is a basic requirement for any uploading service that you remain connected to it for uploading to be possible.
The time it takes to upload data to iCloud is entirely dependent on how fast your Internet connection is, and how much data you are uploading. Both of these things are completely out of Apple's control. Whichever upload service you use will be affected by the speed of your Internet connection. -
Time Capsule not working as a router
I've done a search, but can't find anything that jumps out to me as the same issue.
I've recently ditched all my PC gear. Now have the following:
Mac Mini
2TB Time Capsule
MacBook Air
iPad
My issue is with the internet connectivity of the Time Capsule. I have the mac mini connected via Ethernet. It can get on the internet no problem. None of my wifi devices can at all. My ISP only allows two devices to ping out, and they need to be registered via MAC address. No big deal, except my Time Capsule isn't functioning like a router. So, the MAC address of my Mac Mini is registered, and it's working, but I can't register the Time Capsule. I'm pretty sure I'm missing something easy, but can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Figured instead of banging my head against the wall, I'd see if anyone had something similar happen to them?Register by MAC address to the first device is generally used by cable companies. But the Modem acts as the first port of call and whatever device first is turned on, picks up the public IP address and the MAC is registered. It just works.
Your issue might be that the first device to register has a very long lease. Since you cannot power cycle you should ask the IT admin of the building who controls this setup to release and renew the IP after you plug in the TC otherwise it will not be recognised.. for days or weeks or however long the lease is set to.
But it could be 24hours.
Plainly you got the Mac Mini working.. how did you do that??
Sometimes you can just try overnight.. remove the Mac and plug in the TC.. but it is far easier to talk to the admin and get him/her to simply renew the lease.
The other method we use is spoof the MAC address of the device currently plugged in. ie grab the MAC address of the Mini and use it in the router.. to pretend it is really the Mini.. the router on the other end is none the wiser.
TC AFAIK, has no ability to spoof, but almost every other broadband router made can do it. Apple designed it for lowest common denominator in terms of networking ability.. to put it mildly.
Note your internet might be already behind a NAT.. if you use the TC or any other router in NAT mode there is an issue of double NAT with every site that requires interactive connection because there is no possible link from the site to your PC by forwarding the port. Double NAT effectively blocks it.
Check the IP you have on the Mini now.. if it is a private address.. ensure it is not 10.0.x.x by the way otherwise the TC will not work due to routing considerations. But any of the private IP address ranges are not routable over the internet and will give you issues.

No Internet when connected to wrt54g router
I've seen that I'm not the only person to have this problem, unfortunately it doesn't appear that the question is answered satisfactorily in the forum. My laptop was connecting fine to an ambient wireless network in my apt building (yes I had wired internet but the computer would say "Wireless Connection Found!" or somesuch, so I know it was connecting to something). Eventually someone either lost the connection or secured it, so I lived with the wired connection for a while. Then a friend of mine gave me the WRT54G router & wished me luck. I have had nothing but trouble with this router - my computer says that it is connected to the router, I can even use the browser utility to do things like upgrade the firmware and change my settings. My computer works FINE with the wired connection, but the minute I try to route it through the wireless router, Internet is history. I have Verizon DSL, I would love to connect to my service wirelessly so I can listen to internet radio in other rooms without creating a massive safety hazard by stringing Ethernet cable through my entire house. I've tried everything that I could find online, including downloading a network diagnostics tool, but nothing is helping. I've done everything your site says, everything in the user guide, even things friends suggested to me. No luck. Any ideas? I'm almost ready to throw the router into traffic!
Thanks for the links, but these are both things I've looked into, and don't understand. I'm something of a newb when it comes to technical stuff on computers - I can use them, and screw around successfully with some of the system stuff, but unless someone explains to me what each odd abbreviation does, I'm lost. I've done the ipconfig /all in command prompt and come up with a bunch of stuff that I'm not sure will help me, I've played around in the router's actual configuration mode, it connects to my computer, and has the Internet light on, just my computer won't go online with the wireless router connected (with or without wires attached). It's like there's a little wall inside the router that won't connect my computer to the DSL modem. DSL modem works fine - all cables work fine, internet works without the wireless router in place. There's just something not connecting somewhere, and I don't know what. Everything externally is perfect. Everything internally SHOULD be perfect (everything's supposed to be automatically configured, right? Usually?). It's just not working.

WRT610N Your computer is not connected to a Router
Bought used WRT610N. Wired connection has been working great since I plugged it in, but have not been able to get other desktop (with G adapter - Netgear WPN311) or new laptop (with N adapter) to get on internet.
Was just able to get laptop on internet, but still can't get other desktop on.
Network magic (on wired computer) ends with "Your computer is not connected to a router."
Checking the Help for this situation:
1. My ISP is a WISP, and I have no modem. Only thing inside house is ethernet cable and a power connection for it. The router IS connected between entry point and computer.
2.This is strictly a home network, not a public one.
3.I find IP address of 192.168.1.100 as Start address in DHCP when I get into manual set-up.
I have re-set router for 30 seconds.
Firmware looks to be 2.00.00 B05
I can access manual set-up at 192.168.1.1
I have two desktops. Wired is XP64, other one that won't connect is XP SP2 (32bit), and laptop is Win7. Laptop is now working on Internet.
Desktop that won't connect does not "see" the network. I right-click the icon and no networks show up in "Choose a Wireless Network". This computer sits about 25-30 feet from the router, with one wall between.
Where would I go from here? I know nothing about networking, and not enough about computers, but am good at following directions, step-by-step.
I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks.Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.
Open the setup page of the router. Click on Wireless tab and set the configuration view to 'Manual'. Change the wireless network name SSID ( create a new wireless network ). Change the wireless channel to 11. Save the settings.
Go to Wireless security sub and change the wireless security modem to WPA/WPA2. Enter the password for the wireless network. Save the settings.
Click on Wireless MAC filter sub tab and make sure that it is disabled.
Go to Advanced wireless settings sub tab. Change the Beacon Interval to 75, RTS and fragmentation threshold to 2306. Save the settings.
Now try to connect to the new wireless network and see if that works. -

Internet not working and printer connected by cable but it is unable to communicate with the computerHi Joanna 59
Sorry to hear that you are having this issue and Hope you are well;
1.Do you see any light on the back on the printer where the cable is connected?
2. Do you see lights on the back of the router where the cable that comes from the printer is connected?
3.What type of cable are using to connect the printer? Have you try another cable to see if the problem is the current cable.
Please kindly include;
What router are you using (Brand and model)
Operating system i.e. Win 7
Complete Printer model

My AirPort Extreme can not see my SMC router
I have a new MacBook Pro. It can see other routers (in my neighborhood) and connect to the internet by ethernet cable into my SMC router but it can not see the SMC router wirlessly. I have no security on my router right now. Any ideas?
I have the exact same problem: SMC Barricade G 2408WBRP-G-CA with v2.08 firmware. Because there's lots of talk of problems with WEP, turned that off, but no luck, the built-in airport card of the powerbook won't connect to the router.
I have successfully connected to a Cisco access point at work with 128-bit WEP with no problem at all, so I'm certain the hardware in the machine is functioning... just not with this access point.
This is a brand new 17" Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro that I just received... all available software updates applied.

Have you tested the server OMA setup with a notebook or desktop (https://webmail.domain.com/OMA)?
You should receive a login prompt for username & password following by an Inbox listing of messages.
We used this step to verify server setup before configuring an iPhone. Lastly, we made certain that connectivity would work from outside or within our company by doing the following:
1) created A record for webmail.domain.com to a public IP that route through the firewall on 443 to the Exchange server's private IP - this handles external traffice
2) added an internal DNS record for webmail.domain.com to the private IP of the Exchange server.
This ensures that webmail.domain.com sync's to exchange from outside or from within the Enterprise. -
Brand new Macbook not connecting to Belkin Router!
Hi, I am at my wits end here seriously. I've read countless posts from everywhere on people having trouble with the Macbook and it not connecting to their router.
My situation: I bought my Macbook 5 days ago, brand new. So whatever the latest versions of everything is, however it is still running Tiger, but I am waiting on Leopard in the mail.
I have a Belkin router(I'm at work so I don't have it with me to check the correct model number but it looks like it would be F5D5231-3 (it's about 3 years old). Now my Macbook recognises the router, however it will not connect. I've spent the last 4 nights on the phone to Belkin, Apple and my ISP, and I'm going to have a breakdown because no one has been any help.
Anyway, I went to a cafe last night to use their hotspot wireless internet, and I connected to their internet just fine. I have tried everything Belkin, Apple and my ISP has told me to do and nothing has worked. I had an iBook when I first got my router and it connected just fine, I didn't have airport but I had a wireless d-link USB device. Why oh why is my new Macbook causing me so much trouble?? I've wasted so much time being bounced around from one useless person to the other... I just need some help or suggestions.
Also, there is a desktop PC and two PC laptops in the same house which connect fine to the router.
Please anyone who is able to help me I will be eternally grateful. The thing is I really don't need the internet as my partner has a laptop with internet, but I want everything working. I want to have my own laptop with my own internet connection and to stop wasting time messing around with settings and everything.
Thanks for hearing my rant. Please don't hesitate to give me some advice!
Message was edited by: HostWould the problem be that my router is 'g' and 'b' based? I notice that the new Macbooks airport are 'n" based. But even so, I'm sure the cafe I went to wasn't 'n'. If I have to buy a new router I will, but would rather not if I can get this router to work.

Aironet 1600 - A response was not received from the router or access point
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a wireless network with multiple SSID's. The new network only has CISCO products (router, switches). For the moment I'm trying to connect to 1 SSID (Windekind.Gast). the SSID is visible but when connecting devices have te folowing error message in the log:
Connection status summary
Connection started at: 2015-02-17 09:55:49-951
Profile match: Success
Pre-Association: Success
Association: Fail
Security and Authentication: Not started
Root cause:
Wireless association to "Windekind.Gast" failed
A response was not received from the router or access point.
Detailed root cause:
Wireless association to this network failed. Windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or accesspoint.
The signal is perfect (I'm only a few feet away from the AP).
To make sure there is no dhcp problem I tested the swich port in access mode for vlan 30 which supplied an IP correctly. I'm really not seeing the problem and searched the web for days now! Any help would be very much appreciated!
Below the config of the access point (done via de web interface).

thanks for the reply! 10.0.0.81 belongs to vlan 1. I changed the config as suggested but no luck.. (same problems are logged in the event viewer). the ap is connected to a switchport in trunk mode and vlan 1 is the native lan (untagged). the port also is joined to vlan 30 (and others).
Below the new config. Hope you can see an error..
