Internet recovery says 'Must use Apple ID you used to purchase Lion'

I tried a clean install of Mavericks using internet recovery. It won't download instead it's says 'Must use Apple ID you used to purchase Lion' I did purchase Lion??

That is just recovery. It installs whatever is currently loaded. Internet Recovery installs the shipping OS and doesn't require a password. It is accessed with cmd-opt-r, or if you don't have an available boot drive.
If your Mac shipped with Mountain Lion, but was shipped very close to its release, Apple's database may think it shipped with Lion, and it will want a password to install Mountain Lion. You'll have to contact App Store Support to clear that up. There is a link in the App Store near the account links.

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

OSX internet recovery won't take apple id and password

Hi, I had a virus on my old mac, pre- mountain lion, so I backed it up on an external harddrive, placed it in recovery mode, erased mac HD with disk utility, and tried to download the only option which is Install Mac OS X Lion. However, when asked for my apple id and password it will not take it. It says it was not the one used with that computer. I have always used the same apple id and I have been the only owner of that mac pro. How do I install the OS or find the correct apple id and pw?

So your early-2011 would have come pre-installed with OS X Snow Leopard. And it appears you were trying to do an Internet Recovery by restarting using Command+Option+R. And for your model Internet Recovery only shows OS X Lion as the OS to install. If you would have had a Mac that came pre-installed with OS X Mountain Lion, then you would see that OS to install.
When OS X Lion came out, did you purchase it from the App Store with the Apple ID you mentioned?
If you have never purchased OS X Lion, you will need to reinstall OS X Snow Leopard from your original SL DVD and update it to 10.6.8 in order to redownload/install OS X Mountain Lion if you purchased ML from the App Store.

Selcet and start the skype update.

Do you mean it said to contact iTunes? If it says either one of those then you need to call apple support, and get them to look at your account.

I don't know the account used to purchase Lion (it was already installed when I bought my Mac). How may I found it to reinstall my mac from scratch ?

My mac has issues with the software used to manage my hard drive and I have to reinstall it from scratch (the genius guy tell me that).

I have already followed the steps described in the section "Recovery system" of your link. (command-R, ...). But when I want to reinstall, they ask me to login with the account used to buy Lion (which I didn't bought since it was already installed)...

I am trying to reinstall my OS on my new MacBookPro 15" Retina display. Through the revovery process or Internet Recovery Process, I am asked for an AppleID. Once I enter my AppleID and Password, I get an error message. "This AppleID was not used to purchase Lion"
I am unable to proceed further with the reinstallation process. Kindly advise if this is an issue with the OS installation process or a local ISP issue?

I had the issue as reported earlier..It apparently seemed to be an issue with your local ISP that blocks the access to Mountain lion from App Store.
Try with different local ISP's and it should work.
In Singapore two local ISP's Starhub and SingTel have this blocked whilst it worked for me when i accessed Internet connection through M1 Service Provider..

I can't seem to edit pdf using XI Pro - says must use LiveCycle Designer (which is supposed to be included in Pro?)

Hi. I am a new user to Acrobat XI Pro, and was trying to make some simple edits to a PDF document. I keep getting a popup that informs me that I must use Adobe LiveCycle Designer to edit this form. It is my understanding that LiveCycle is supposed to be part of the Pro suite. How can I edit this document?

But on its website, it says that PDF forms are editable - PDF editor, edit text in PDF files | Adobe Acrobat XI. But I have a file I created with Adobe 8 Pro and it won't let me edit the text. I don't need to do an overhaul, but it gives me an error and says I need LiveCycle. Even the comparison chart online says it has the ability to edit PDF files. Anyone have an idea if there's a feature in the old form that I can change to allow me to edit the text without getting LiveCycle? Bummer that it's not still included. I thought it was.
And try67, what do you mean if I upgraded I may be able to get it? Is that something I should just contact Adobe about to see if it can be added to my software purchase?

Had to reformat macbook and trying to reinstall mountain lion, however have no longer got Apple ID,

Why do you not "have" the Apple ID?
Apple IDs don't just disappear. For all anyone knows they are eternal.
They can be forgotten though. If that's your problem, go here: https://iforgot.apple.com/
and click Forgot your Apple ID?

We purchased Lion OS in April and uploaded to our iMac and now want to upgrade out MacPro. We cannot figure out how to use the previous purchase (says you can use on 3 computers)....confused. How do we begin the process using our previous purchase?

We are now ready to upgrade our MacPro, but can't seem to find out how to upgrade using the previous purchase (said we could use the Lion OS purchase on up to 3 devices). We have the receipt of purchase with the Order # and Purchase #, but I just can't figure out how to do the upgrade. Where do I go? What reference # do I enter?

Go back to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Lion. It should show up in your Purchases list ready to download. If it doesn't, log out, log back in, and hold down Option key while clicking on Purchases.
A tip: Once the download is finished, dismiss the Installer. Go to your Applications folder and find it - copy it to another folder or hard drive to keep for emergency purposes. Then click on that installer and install (it is automatically removed/deleted after the installation is complete). That way you can avoid having to do another lengthy download.
And, yes, just to confirm: you can install Lion on as many Macs you own and control. However, the license is not transferable; if you ever sell the machine, you need to erase Lion and reinstall the original OS.
You don't go to iTunes - go to the Mac App Store (in your Applications folder). You do need 10.6.6 (or 10.6.8) to have the Mac app store.

I've purchased mt. lion from app store a week ago, but this new machine says "that user ID has not purchased lion" when i try an install by signing in with my apple ID. All my other macs show it as "purchased" in app store-HELP!! I need to get up and running ASAP!

If not, it is trying to install the only version it can, which is Lion (10.7). "Lion" is not "Mountain Lion."
If you use Internet Recovery, it should install the OS it shipped with, without needing an ID. Hold down cmd-opt-r on boot and you should see a spinning globe in the center. That indicates it is booting to Apple's servers and you should be able to install whatever OS it shipped with.
This will not work if it is not Internet Recovery capable. In that case, you need the original install disks that shipped with that Mac. You'll install the original OS and update it to 10.6.8, then you can use the App Store to install.

Internet Recovery Can't Find Disk for Time Machine or Reinstalling Mavericks?

I have a MacBook Pro that's a little over a year old. It froze up today when I opened it up, so I held the power button down and restarted it. When it powered on again, there was just a flashing picture of a folder with a question mark on it. I restarted it again, but this time holding down command+r to put it into internet recovery mode.
Once it got to a menu, I decided to try and use time machine. It spent a few minutes trying to find a saved backup, but it seemed to just be spinning its wheels and getting nowhere. I'm only about 60% certain that I ever saved anything on time machine, but it still seems like it should have either given me my saved option or told me I hadn't saved anything, not just run seemingly endlessly.
After that, I went back and tried to just reinstall Mavericks, but it couldn't find a disk to reinstall it on.
Does anyone know what could be causing this problem, or how I could go about fixing it so my computer is at least usable again?

This is from the Apple Knowledge Base (below). Note that it automatically reverts to Internet Recovery when the hard disk "isn't available." I can't say for sure but it sounds like your hard drive may have failed in a way that it doesn't "show up" when the computer looks for it. Hopefully you do have a backup.

Mac models introduced after public availability of OS X Lion include the ability to start up directly from an Internet-based version of the OS X Recovery system. OS X automatically uses this feature when the Recovery System on the hard disk isn't available (such as when your hard disk encounters an issue, or when your hard disk has been replaced or erased).
