Internet Sites Don't Recognize My Computer

Internet sites that usually keep me signed in until I log out are making me sign in every time. Why are they no longer recognizing my computer? Thanks.

A lot of websites have disabled the features to keep you signed in to their websites.
But, make sure you're not in private browsing mode, and you have cookies enabled. That would be the first thing I look at on your end.

I'm using a new computer and to open one website I have to answer the security questions each time saying that the site doesn't recognize this computer.

Each time I try to open my "ubt" website, I get a message that says the site does not recognize this computer so I have to answer the security questions each time. I get the message "You are attempting to log in to your account from a computer that we do not recognize..." All other websites work just fine. The Mac store person could not figure it out. The ipod is not a backup device. The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: Without syncing:File>transfer Purchases

Flash installed, but computer doesn't show it and sites don't recognize it

I have an iMac, running Mac OSX 10.6.8, Safari browser. Have repeatedly tried to download Flash player over the last month or so - when I do, it seems to download, but then I can't find it on the computer anywhere and when I try to play videos that require Flash player, they don't show up and I see a message to download Flash Player. So today I looked on the Adobe website and ran the Flash Player uninstaller for my version of OSX, then downloaded the latest Flash Player. Same problem. When I go to the page on this site to see if I have Flash Player installed, it shows that I have the latest (11.5.whatever it is today). When I click on the link, I see the little video. I've gone down that page - everything is enabled that should be enabled. But I still can't play videos requiring Flash Player! The videos simply don't load; there is blank space and a message saying I need to install Adobe Flash Player. And I still can't find any mention of it on my computer.
I'm at my wit's end; can you all think of what else I should try? Thank you very much.
By the way, I'm having the same problem with my Macbook Pro, running an older version of OSX (maybe 10.4? Don't have it here in front of me.) So it is not just this computer with the problem.

Hi Chris - I can see both videos. Perhaps it's just Flash Player videos
embedded in blog posts that I can't see - could that be it? For example, I
can't see the embedded video on the following page. I just see black space
with purple lettering telling me I need to download Flash Player:

Can you tell me where on my computer files I can find the installation of
Flash Player? I just don't see it anywhere, yet obviously I've got it
somehow, since I can see the videos you sent, but then again I can't access

Safari 2.0.3 : certain web sites don't recognize correct login/password

Just upgraded to 10.4.4 and with this to safari 2.0.3.
From this day on I can't gain access to some web sites that require a log/pass because it says it is incorrect. ( Note the password I type is the correct one and works with explorer...).
One of these sites is msn passport.net: in this case the web site asks me to rewrite some characters that appear in a box, and when I do it says that they don't match.
It seems as if the charcters I write are not interpreted the same way by the web site.
I have cookies active, I emptyied cache... don't have other ideas.
Anyone can be of help?

Update: I ran Console upon trying to load a web site that won't load. Here are the messages from that action with any identical messages deleted:

I forgot to note I have also done the obvious things like computer restart, shut down, and modem reset.

Sites do not recognize logins/passwords

Passwords and logins I use work fine on my pc but sites don't recognize them with iPad 2. I'm a novice. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You probably need to have cookies enabled : Settings > Safari > Accept Cookies 'from visited' . If you want to store the logons and passwords on the iPad then you should also turn Settings > Safari > AutoFill > Names And Passwords 'on'

I've already uninstalled iTunes and QT and reinstalled after problem that happened when I updated iTunes - updated iTunes completely demolished my computer's ability to recognize the sound card and computer had NO sound at all. I had to uninstall iTunes, QT, AND my sound card and reinstall them all. Sound worked fine, but now I can't sync my iPod. Computer recognizes that "something" is hooked up (thinks it might possibly be a camera) and I get that "open with" window. In "my computer" it shows that there is an "iPod" connected, but it is pictured as a camera. In iTunes my username is no longer appearing (although account info is there) and NO devices whatsoever get listed. There is nothing wrong with my USB ports or cable. And of course Apple won't help anyone unless you pay them to. ... I am getting beyond P/Oed!!! You pay hundreds for a product and all you get are headaches with their stupid bug infested software and no support at all.
Can anyone out there help me clean up this unbelievable mess Apple and iTunes has created in my computer?

After three completely wasted days trying to figure all of this out I finally got it fixed - on my own - by reading dozens and dozens of rogue posts in indie forums from people that refuse to dish out money to have a company TRY and advise possible fixes on their own glitches.
(here's a novel idea - fix the glitches Apple. Or - don't send out updates filled with bugs in the first place)
Everything (several applications) had to be uninstalled in a very specific order and then restarted , then it all had to be verified with manual deletions of leftovers, and emptying the recycle bin, then another restart, then iT had to be reinstalled again and the system restarted again, and two more update downloads. Holy!!!
I love my little iPod touch, but I honestly must say, when this kind of thing happens (and it has several times now when I try to deal with iTunes or Apple), it makes me want to flush it down the toilet.

I am having trouble accessing Internet sites--especially if I want to move from a downloaded site to a link within it. All I get when seeking to dowload is a blank page and the word Done at the sceeen's foot.
There is also some kind of message in the tool bar referring to 'gif'
What can I do to improve this?
I have downloaded the Beta 4 version in the hope that it might have resolved this issue, but the same thing occurs.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

my pc don't recognize my new ipod touch 4 in the windows explorer it asks for drivers when i plug in my ipod touch but itunes recognize it i have read in the internet that the ipod appear in windows explorer so i can copy photos to my pc what caan i do to fix it ?

If the photos were synced to the iPod from the Mac you will bee a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView to copy them to the PC laptop.
The image capture/My Computer/photo program will only import photos taken by or saved to the iPod (those in Camera Roll album).

My bank doesn't recognize my computer on FF but does on IE.

When I attempt to log in to my banking account the bank doesn't recognize my computer. I have told the bank system that this is a private computer on earlier logins yet it asks for additional authentication each time. This does not occur when I use Internet Explorer, only with FireFox.

I don't know what kind of security your bank requires, But if your FF 34 was updated it might have SSLv3 turned of.

Audio missing on some internet sites

I noticed on Christmas Eve that I suddenly was not getting the audio playback on youtube videos. I use youtube to listen to a lot of live music that I don't have either the CDs or DVDs. I did some further investigating, & I have audio on my iTunes library, some internet sites have audio, for instance the Santa commercial for the iPhone. When I check sites that offer streaming for music, it's a no go. I use 3 different browsers, Chrome, Camino, & Safari, I have no audio on any of the 3. As far as I know, there is nothing that should have been changed on my iMac as I am the only one who uses the system. Lastly, I use Bose Companion 5 speakers on the computer which I know are working because I'm listening to music from my iTunes as I type. Any suggestions?

Wifi not working with iTunes, apps store and some, but not all Internet sites....why???

Yesterday I noticed while browsing Internet that some sites would not open and that some games I regularly play would not open. I also found that I could not open either the apps store or iTunes. Everything seemed to be working the day before and I have not recently upgraded ios (been on version 6.1.3 for a while) or changed any settings on my iPad (2). With Internet research today I found suggestion that if I switched to 3G I would be able to access these apps and,sure enough, under 3G connection everything works fine. Some other forums suggest changing wifi router settings to fix the issue ....I have not tried this as I wouldn't like to mess with my router and end up effecting other peripherals/pc's connected to it that are working fine....especially when I am not terribly IT savvy when it comes to hardware settings. But as I haven't changed anything on my ipad why would my wifi suddenly stop connecting to some apps on my iPad, but not all??? Interestingly I can access many Internet sites (forums) with wifi connection but not the apple forum! To get to anything apple related I have to switch back to 3G ....that includes checking the iOS version I am on via settings!
I also mention that I have done all the other suggested fixes found on various forums, such as rebooting iPad, renewing wifi lease, clearing cookies, closing all apps etc etc, to no avail. Seems the only suggested fix I have not tried is mucking around with my router which I am very hesitant to do given the **** I went through with my telco when my home Internet connection suddenly stopped working last year. Took me weeks of phone calls to get my internet connection back and being forced by the telco to a more expensive plan, hence very reluctant to start mucking around with that side of things, but why should I need to when it does seem to be working ok with other devices in the home?
I have started this as new discussion as, even though I am not terribly IT savvy, I cant see how this could be related to the wifi issues that many on the newer devices (iPhone 5 and iPad mini etc) are reporting as I haven't recently upgraded anything on my ipad and all was working perfectly up until yesterday.
Any other suggestions on how to get wifi working correctly again on iPad or do I really have to risk the working of every other device in my home and chase it from modem/router side?

I am in big problem. I had deployed a web application on IIS 7.0 which have windows server 2008 r2 installed. We have some reports in web application. Everything is working fine in web application except when I export content feom SSRS reports to PDF or CSV

This message comes only on IE8 as I had installed Mozilla but that issue is not coming on Mozilla. I don't why this issue is coming and how to solve this issue. I had gone with every possible results which I found in google but noting seems to be helpful. Please

This error usually occurs if IE is configured with the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" advanced options setting or the server is using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and has added one or both of the following HTTP headers to the response message:
e.g: Response.AddHeader "Cache-control: no-cache" or “Cache-control: no-store”.
To solve this issue, please try to cancel the “Do not save encrypted pages to disk” option in the advanced internet options or setting the “BypassSSLNoCache” registry. For more details, please refer to

How to get an email online when showing offline for sending. Solutions on site don't solve the problem.

How do you get an email account online when it is showing offline for sending. All settings are correct, previous solutions on the site don't help. One account works find the other one receives but doesn't send. No issues with ISP was found. This may have been happening since OS travel. Took a while to realise it was using the other account for sending.

I just solve the problem. While OS we brought an internet USB and connected to a phone, one or both of these must have caused the problem. When both of the downloads associated with them were deleted the email issue was resolved. regards

When I try to print pages from internet sites (Facebook, Merchant Circle, Linked In, NBC.com, etc.), Firefox will only print the first page.
In order to print more information, it is necessary to reduce the scale of the print so more of the information will print on the first page.
How can I print out more than just one page of a website without having to make the print so small that I cannot read it when it prints?

Firefox has problems with some style rules.
First, it's always helpful to use any print-formatted or print-optimized version of the page. Sometimes there is a link for this.
Second, in some cases you need to use this trick: press Ctrl+a to select all content on the page, then Ctrl+p to display the print dialog, and click the radio button next to Selection.
Those tricks don't always work, but hopefully they will help.
