Internet Support in Dev. 6.0

Hi,
Has anybody tried the internet support feature in Dev. 6.0 yet?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Monika

Hello-
If you're talking about the Run Form Web button in Developer 6,
it doesn't work unless you're running on a WinNT workstation...
At least that's according to Oracle. We've found that even
after installing on a NT Workstation this wouldn't work.
Not sure if its a bug or not. I do know that the release
documentation only mentions that this feature doesn't work on
Win95/98.

  • INTERNET SUPPORT HELP - Curve related - Blackberry newbie walkthroughs

    Hi guys,
I'm new here. I currently work as internet support somewhere and I've been asked to write articles on Blackberry devices.
The below questions are the ones I need answered as I'm completely new to Blackberry. Having trawled the internet, it'd be a big help.
We use Curve phones but any extra answers for the newer versions or OS's etc would be amazing.
Anyway, these are the ones I need answered, step by step ideally:
A - How to get connection details (Mac, IP, DG, DNS)
B - How to determine SSID and if possible BSSID
C - How to ensure set to DHCP
D - How to check for proxy settings
E - How to clear browser cache
F - How to reset connection (release/renew) and or forget network settings/passwords
I've setup instant email notifications so I can keep track of this.
Many thanks in advance you lovely people.
    James.

i have a similar problem.  I have the bold 9700 and when I try to download the software for my mac, it says this softwar does not support my OS.  What can I do? Are there older versions.
Is there any way to contact blackberry support?

  • Wake On Lan (over Internet) support for WRT610N

    Dear Linksys/Cisco
Please please,we need Wake On Lan  (over Internet) support for the WRT610N.
Whether it's implemented with static arp, or by allowing port forwards to the broadcast address doesn't really matter I guess.
Please consider this for inclusion in a future firmware upgrade.
    Best regards
    Henrik Schack
    Denmark

Linksys routes don't support WOL. It's not possible to enter static entries into the router's ARP tables which would be necessary to have permanent access to the IP address of the computer. Basically, after some time of inactivity the router "forgets" the MAC address of your computer...

  • Does Verizon Fios Internet Support Docis 3.0?

I am looking at purchasing my own router and modem, wondering if they even support Docis 3.0

Verizon FIOS services does not use a modem.  There is either an ethernet or coax connection from the Verizon Network into the home.  If ethernet you can plug any router you want into that connection.  If coax you would need to use a router that supports coax or ask VZ to see about converting your connection from COAX to Ethernet.
Also, if you have FIOS TV Services you may want to stick with the VZ provided router.  The VZ Router provides Internet Connectivity to the STB's for On-Demand, Channel Guide and remote programming of your DVR.
Some folks will install a secondary router leaving the STB's connected on the VZ Router and having all of your devices connected on the secondary router including wireless LAN

  • How Adobe should monetize the AIR SDK and keep supporting game devs

As per the message title, someone at Adobe should take a look at this thread on the Starling Forum:
    http://forum.starling-framework.org/topic/whats-new-in-adobe-air/page/5#post-26940
    Best Regards,

You typically use the Adobe AIR Update for Flash CS3
    Professional (
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html)
with Flash CS. I don't know if it is possible to update the
libraries referenced by the authoring tool manually.
The AIR SDK is useful if you are developing AIR apps with
    HTML and JavaScript.

  • When will Sun begin to Support Games Dev?

As the title states, when will Sun start to seriously support games development. With 1.5, 1.6, 2.0???
Must improve the VM, for speed.
Will they ever add LWJGL to the API, with improvements of course?
I personally think Java is a great language and hope to develop many games and maybe one day stick it to M$ and their developers.

Not so much a question of running the game on any platform of one CD (although I think that might actually increase sales in that funny way that good ideas often do) but you certainly would gain from developers being able to use a single lot of code across many platforms.
I found this in a PC Zone article about the forthcoming Matrix game a couple of months ago:
... with a simultaneous PC, GameCube, Xbox and PS2 release in plan, isn't there a chance that PC owners will be saddled with another massively console-oriented title? Not so, says Dave [ Perry ] who explains that shiny's ground-breaking cross-platform engine was designed from the ground up to use every machine to its full potential.

"Every minute spent making the game causes the results to appear on all four platforms. No matter what platform you're using, the game engine is squeezing every last bit of performance out of the hardware."
That's what I'm talking about- it's a bit late now, but if Sun had been clever it could have been Java doing that.

  • Support for Internet based client Management - SCCM 2012

    Hi There,
My Company wants to go for Internet based client Management in SCCM 2012 SP1 R2 and here is the design I'm proposing. I'm getting a bit confused at one point and need suggestion....
Everything would work on HTTPS ( PKI Certificate based )... LAN and Internet.
1 Primary ( with non-client facing roles installed ) on LAN with two site systems.
    - One Site System configured for INTRANET support only with MP, DP and SUP -> To support LAN users ( Allow
    Intranet-only connections )
    - One Site System configured for INTERNET support only with MP, DP and SUP -> To support Internet users ( Allow
        Internet-only connections )
The INTERNET facing site system is in DMZ network connected to parent Primary via Firewall.
We want internet clients to talk to ONLY DMZ SCCM Site System and no connection to corporate LAN. We cannot open any ports for internet based clients to LAN.
If this is the supported scenario, then why we need to put the Internet FQDN in the Primary server Site System property. This server would not be available to internet. It should only be my DMZ SCCM server client should connect for MP, DP and SUP and only
this DMZ server should be accessible to client over internet.
Also, what least ports should be opened between :
    - Parent Primary and its internet facing site system kept in DMZ
    - DMZ Site system and internet clients.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
    Sam

The FQDN has only to be specified on the Internet facing site system. You can leave this field blank on the primary site Server.
    Ports to Open:
    Internet --> DMZ Site Server:
    TCP Port 443
TCP Port 80, if Fallback Status Point is installed
DMZ Site Server --> Primary Site:
    TCP 135, 49152-65535
    TCP 445
    TCP 135, 24158 (fixed with
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb219447(v=vs.85).aspx )
    TCP 80, 443
If you have some other roles installed, please consult this page:

  • Internet Explorer Support ... or not?.

He evryone i´m wondering how do you offer internet support. because at the time its the same as design two sites . 1 for everyone and another for i.e. and peopple is alwasy asking for ie, but in practice is a lot more of work .
so should i pay an extra for internet explorer, just give it in the package, not doiung it or what.
i would like no know how other designers are managing this.
    greetings

This should not be the case if you're designing standards compliant sites with clean, valid code.
IE8 and IE9 should be OK.
It's a matter of deciding at which version you stop supporting Internet Explorer.
Most designers (inc me) have stopped supporting IE6 and earlier.
IE7 support varies by designer and target audience.

  • I downloaded Office for Mac 2011, and almost immediately my Yahoo email stopped working, most images were disabled throughout my internet sites, and my bank site reported that I was using a "new computer," which is not true. How can I get my email to work

I have an iMac version 10.6.8/2.66 GHz Intel Processor and 4 GB memory, with Safari 5.1.10. I had used Office for Mac 2008 but had to upgrade for work. The download (from Amazon) went swiftly, but when I started Word, it did not function too well. Then about an hour later I noticed that my Yahoo email site stopped working, it lost all images and the text just jumbled up on the left side of the screen. No amount of emptying caches or resets/quits/restarts did anything. I called the Internet support, and they just said it was my iMac that had the problem. I have been reduced to using MacMail as my email, but this is tenuous, as my Yahoo account keeps holding things up and constantly asking me for my password (and sometimes it does not accept it). How can I get my computer back?

The path may be long and tedious, grasshopper.
Actually, the download of Office 2011 for Mac probably was not legal and may have contained bugs or other things meant to make it unstable, or invite a host of issues. The usual path would be Office 2011 for Mac on DVD so you could reinstall it and add the extras from the disc as needed; or fix the installation later on. The updates for security were downloads from Microsoft servers. You'd need a legitmate version with pass code.
Options for Mac and office-like application suites include Libre Office, NeoOffice, and these run free. The latter supports up to Mavericks. 10.9.1 now. They have a word, excel, and other parts a lot like the real office.
If you have a working clone of the system prior to installing the Office 2011 for Mac download and any subsequent and perhaps unseen extras, you could revert to it simply by restarting the computer from the clone, where it resides in externally enclosed self-powered hard disk drive, of a type known to support OS X clones... With ports to help work with most modern Macs. FireWire + USB. Then, clone it back w/ carbon copy cloner.
Short of that, perhaps someone will see your post and offer some indepth method of hunting down bugs via use of Console logs; and maybe booting into Terminal utility to use unix code. It can be rather involved. Maybe Linc Davis will offer some detailed reply that will invite you to read carefully and try it.
I've given up using computers long ago.
A pet raven has been taught to write this.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • HELP - Receiving email but can't connect to internet

Hi, I will be forever grateful to anyone who can solve my problem, because I am seriously ticked off!
I have a Blackberry 8820 that was running OS 4.2.  I upgraded to 4.5 when I bought a new SIM card and registered with Orange Spain for phone, GSM internet and email. At that time, my browser disappeared from my main menu.
Email is coming in, but the browser never reappeared.  I have registered through the Host Routing Table, resent the service books a dozen times, pulled the battery, called Orange (they were of no help) and still nothing.  When I go into switch application I see a browser icon but when I click it is says my device has no browser configuration service book entries and yet I see them in the service book list.  I've deleted them and undeleted them, still nothing!  It says in service status that "voice services" go through the mobile network but that the Blackberry Internet Service is connected through wi-fi.  Is that the problem?
I'm at my wits end, paying for a service I cannot use.  HEEEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!

to get access to the internet you need
    1. an active wifi connection which provide internet support
    2. a data plan which provide you with Internet over the cellphone network

  • VS 2010 and sql server support

    Hi,
    I'm currently using VS 2010 10.0.40219.1,Framework 4.5.50938 SP1
Is the above is supported with sql servers versions of 2012, 2014.
What if i switch to  VS2012, will it support sql server 2008, 2008 R2.
    Pleas share your inputs
    Thanks

SQL Server and Visual Studio are umbrella style marketing vehicles. Support varies by features. For example the
SQL Server Data Tools team dropped VS2010 support and may be dropping VS2012 support once VS2015 is released. Visual Studio 2012 supports writing applications targetings .Net 2.0. .Net 2.0 in turn supports Windows 2000, which is not supported by Visual
    Studio 2012.
The ADO.Net team supports System.Data.OleDb, but if you use System.Data.OleDb to connect to the deprecated SQL Server Native Client OLE DB provider you will find your code stop working in a future version of SQL Server as the SQL Server team is dropping
    support for the provider.
.Net 4.5 is an in-place upgrade. Once you install VS2012, your VS2010 would be referencing .Net 4.5 even when it think itself was using .Net 4.0.
This has caused some troubles in the past, especially when XP was still supported (your dev box would have bug fixes for .Net 4 that XP users won't ever receive).

  • Poor P4/Win2K support in Oracle Java Products

Hello everyone, I would love to hear some discussion and maybe a solution for the following:
I have been told by Oracle Support that Dev has not provided solutions for Java problems on the P4 chip and that there is currently no timeline. I suspect that Win2K support is also thin (none for ME apparently).
    My Problems:
Installation and configuration of DB and OEM was a nightmare and still is not right. Required several patches and a dozen tweaks.
When I run DBA Studio or OEM Console I have a few minutes and then my CPU utilization jumps to 100% and it's time to reboot or kill the Oracle service.
jre.exe or java.exe are generating a lot of access violations and other crashes. For example I had to repoint all Apache HTTP Server java references to my SUN JDK as the java installed with it will not run right.
Any ideas on getting this to work would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to throw away my new hardware and start over.
    Thank you for your thoughts.

    Hello,
I finally get the scripts to run, I finally use sqlplus but I change the scripts without the 2 last line (commit and exit) and I do this directly in the sqlplus.

  • Serious issue with MacBook internet connectivity

I have owned a 2009 MacBook since around 2011, when I bought it new. Since then, I have had several relatively minor issues with it, including common ones with the trackpad malfunctioning (it needed a new battery). Since last night, however, it's ability to connect to the Interwebs has suddenly vanished. It's not like the cause of my problem is a huge mystery; there was another problem involving the apparent 'simulated' holding down of the power button, making it impossible to turn on without force shutting down after a few seconds. This seemed to resolve itself eventually, after I sat up too quickly and it narrowly avoided being badly smashed on my floor when it tumbled off of the futon. Ouch. However, there was a minor bump before I was able to catch it. I worried that it would be broken, but it actually managed to somehow resolve my previous issue with random shutdowns when it turned on. After this, though, I was stymied by it's inability to connect to the Internet at all. I tried WiFi, Ethernet, circumventing the router with another Ethernet cable, and many other possible fixes. No luck. I'm currently typing this on a seperate computer, which has got internet connectivity with wireless on the same network. With the wireless connection, which was working before the power button incident, I am able to see the network and connect, but then I can't actually resolve my connection. In the native internet support program, I am reportedly able to connect to the network and ISP, but not the internet or test server. I have contacted my ISP, and they vaguely insinuated after half an hour on hold that it should be working just fine. Very oddly and suspiciously, whenever I try to open the normal network control panel in System Preferences, the pane blinks briefly and stops responding, to the point that I left it loading and went to bed. This morning, it was still attempting to load that preference pane, and I'm really pretty confused. What is going on? In case it helps, the corner that hit the floor was the upper right hand one, I have to think that it may be a hardware issue, since I've spent quite a bit of time on software fixes. This is my first question to the community so far, so if I've misplaced it or doen something wrong, I apologize.
    Thank you in advance!

I have a MacBook Pro that I purchased in April 2007 and am having exactly this issue. I went to start up a program, my screen went black and the computer crashed. I rebooted and my screen had the diagonal lines as in your image. I believe it booted up properly once or twice but crashed again before long. Repeatedly now, the ugly lines are there, the boot up screen shows up in the background and eventually it gets to a blank blue screen and nothing else happens. Sometimes it just shuts down. I did get the install disk and try the hardware test by booting up the disk and holding down the "d" key. The first time I did this it kind of made the screen clear up and reported that there were no hardware problems. I restarted from there and actually had my computer back for about 15 minutes. Then it died again The hardware test didn't have the same impact the second time I tried it but still reported no problems. Still stalling at the blue screen. Does it have something to do with Leopard 10.5.8?? I updated to that a couple of weeks ago. Seems kind of random and inexplicable. Oh and I actually saw a wee puff of smoke at one point near the power button. Is something frying? I really would like to figure it out so A) I can rescue all my stuff that's on that machine and B) if I can fix the problem the computer will still be of use.

  • Getting webcam to work on FIOS Internet

    Hi,
I have the below Linksys webcam and I can not access it out side of my home network.  I have sent numerous emails to Fios internet support and they keep sending me URL links that do not help.  Looking at the posts it looks like port 80 is blocked unless you are a business customer, so what port can I use to access my webcam from the internet?  Any help that anyone can give would be great since I have had this web camera since Xmas and have not been able to use it.
    Liksys WVC54GCA
    Thanks,
    Greg

Yes it looks like I can use an alternet port on this camers such as 5000.  What about using a domain name like gsavlon.Linksys-Cam.com,  do I just put the 5000 at the end of this? (gsavlon.Linksys-Cam.com:5000) CORRECT. Do I still have to setup port forwarding on my actiontec router and specify this port number? Yes, you will have to specify the port you want the router to portforward and you will not be able to use any of the preconfigured protocols, just click "Add" to the right and specify port number 5000 TCP. Name the service then click apply, then do the rest as normal.

  • VOIP has stopped working -- FIOS Internet -- Verizon blocking ports?

    Background:
I have two VOIP device, one is from VOIP.com (HT-286) and the other is my Blackberry 8220 wifi-enabled phone.
Until December, I had Cox Internet for the last two years -- ZERO problems with the above devices.  I made and received phone calls just fine.
FIOS internet installed early december.  Both devices worked fine on install.  I made and recevieved VOIP phone calls with both the VOIP.com device (Home phone) and my wifi Blackberry.
I've taken my VOIP box over to the neighbor's to test it -- works fine.  I plug into their router and have no problems.  My wifi Blackberry works just fine when I go to to the bookstore or coffee shop (Free wifi).
Internet (as defined by using PC web browser) and TV work fine.  We have VOIP service with VOIP.com.
    Problem:
About two weeks ago, I noticed that I would occasionally get phone calls on the blackberry and there would be no one there. I didn't think anything of it until my wife finally asked me why she couldn't make outgoing calls on the house phone.
I tested it, and this is what I found:
    BOTH PHONES:
Phone rings.  "Dead" call.  However, the caller can hear ME but I cannot hear them
I make outgoing call on VOIP/house phone:  I get dial tone, and dial as normal, but once I've dialed, SILENCE.  No ring, nothing.  The called phone will ring but I will not hear it, nor hear the other party answering.  I can call my wife's cel phone (Tmobile) or work phone and it rings.  She can hear me, but I cannot hear her.
I make outgoing calls on wifi Blackberry:  Enter number and press send as normal, but SILENCE.  Same symptoms as above.
As I said, I've taken both devices to other networks and they work fine.  NOTHING was changed on the router in the time frame EXCEPT the name of the SSID, which I changed the very first day --both devices were working for several weeks after.
I have powered off and restarted the router a dozen times and I just did a "hard" reset to return it to the factory settings :: my voip service still is not working properly.
    WHAT I HAVE DONE:
I called Verizon FIOS Internet support.  They say since I can watch TV and access the web, that nothing is wrong.
I called VOIP.com and they say they see the device coming into their network, but they cannot see if Verizon is blocking ports 5060-5070.
Blackberry support flat-out says that Verizon is blocking ports.

VZ isn't blocking those ports.  they only have restrictions on port 25, and in some areas port 80.  all other ports are open.
I would reach back out to voip.com and see if you can escelate it with them.    you can also go to portforward.com and see if they have any walkthrough guides for your particular device.    if you have a friend with fios you can try switching routers to see if that is the culprit, but there is nothing in your description that suggests to me that it would be a router issue.     Also look into QOS if your VOIP people can give you any information on that,   it may also be an avenue you would want to explore if you have VOIP transpiring over there.
