Internet telefone

can someone explain how it works and how to set it up please..

Hi panga
It is using Voip + Voice over internet protocol.
Unless your N95 is branded by certain network providers, you will have found an "internet telephone" icon on your N95.
There are various ways of achieving this. In Nokia beta labs
http://www.nokia.com/betalabs you can find Gizmo software.
You could also look at Truphone and Fring!

  • JMF over the Internet / NAT problems

    Hi folks,
I wonder if someone could help me out. I'm trying to get RTP streaming to work over the internet; specifically to get a server (with a public IP) to send an RTP stream to a client behind a NAT (so with a private IP address). This is the set-up I have at the moment:
Client expects RTP traffic from server to arrive at its local port A. The server sends out RTP traffic from its local port B (i.e. the RTPManager running on the server is initialised with port B).
Before any RTP transmission occurs, the client sends a few UDP packets from its local port A to the server's port B and also to a different port C. The server listens to these packets on port C, and extracts the client's public IP and port (i.e. the IP address of the NAT router plus the public port on the NAT that is mapped to port A on the client).
When the server starts the streaming shortly afterwards, it sends the RTP packets to the public IP/port it detected earlier. The idea being the NAT should forward those packets to port A on the client. But this doesn't seem to be working....
Does anyone have any ideas what's going wrong? Has anyone else had to tackle similar issues?
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Telefon mit Router SRP526W verbinden!

    Hallo zusammen.

    Understanding Voice Port Operations
The SRP520 has a number of voice ports that allow calls to be made from locally connected analog handsets or fax machines by using SIP based Internet phone services. In addition to the four handset (FXS) ports, the SRP also has a single line (FXO) port that can be used to place calls to the telephone network in the event of broadband or even SRP failure.
Note: The SRP520 line port is a passive interface that connects the PSTN line with FXS port 1 during failure conditions. Calls cannot be routed dynamically to this interface under normal operating conditions.

  • After 3.0 uipdate: connection to internet only via WIFI!

After the successful update 3.0 my iphone does only connect me to the internet via WIFI. If that is not avialable - which is the case most of the time - I cannot get into the internet at all. It only says "mobile network could not be activated", but does not connect me via telefone provider as before. This means I cannnot use mail and apps unless I am in a wireless network. Does anyone have experienced the same problem? I tried everything from taking out the sim-card to restart and sychronise again, but no change! Help please, as this is a very serious problem!

    Phil,
Thanks for your interest in the problem. My network is rather complicated. A VDSL modem from my ISP does DHCP and NAT for the whole network. An AEBS Gigabit connected to it by Ethernet provides the wireless service, and an AEBS 1st Generation extends it. That network is configured for 802.11n 5GHz. A ZyXel 802.11g router is connected to the AEBS Gigabit via Ethernet and provides wirleess service for slower devices, which don't "see" the 802.11n network. It's the second wireless network to which the iPhone connects. The Macs are connected to the faster one, but can be connected to the slower one. Apparently the devices connected to the 802.11g network weren't getting a DNS, but that wasn't evident when connecting the Macs, because they specify my provider's DNS. (That was necessary because the Mail app was taking a long time to resolve URLs otherwise.) After restarting both AEBS and the ZyXel didn't resolve the problem,. I restarted the VDSL modem. That seems to have done the trick. I can't explain what happened, but I'm happy that the problem seems resolved.

  • Since I installed FF4 each time I start up internet FF doesn't open and gives the report that it cannot find the proxyserver.

Already I have changed the settings to no proxy, but it doesn't work. Each time I want to open internet again I get the same report and I have to change the setting to no proxy again! Also I noticed that FF has changed the proxy adjustment himself to 'manual proxy configuration' where it has introduced HTTP-proxy 127.0.0.1 and port 63030 himself! How can I change this for good?! So that I don't have to change the setting each time I want to open internet.

Thank you for this information. I am going to get rid of my  i Phone5c because of this policy of Apple!  Maybe they need sued to stop this policy!

  • Sprint says Q10 can not access internet/data in Chas/Hunt WV area

So I upgraded to a new Q10 and spent a few hours loading and configuing all my emails, etc.
Driving to work this morning, I noted that there was no emails received after I left my house (wifi-enabled).  Tried to open the Browser and received the error stating there was no connection to the internet.  Wasted most of the workday fiddling with the settings --- no joy.  So on the way home I stop at the Sprint store.  I walk in and showed the guy my phone and said, "I need some help with this."
He immediately said, "No internet or data?"  Dayum.  He went on to say that BB 3G/4G v10 won't work in this area and that BB was aware of the problem.  Something about Sprint sharing towers with Intelos and the phones won't recognize something.  Over my head, but all other smartphones work here...just the BB Q10 won't.
Really bites --- when I'm on WiFi the thing rocks and is everything I need in a smartphone.  So much better than my daughters iPhone 5...except for this.

Not sure if the same but
my brother is unable to get Data on his Sprint iphone unless its on LTE and most where he is is not LTE enabled.
It still makes calls and recieves calls but no data.

  • How do I use my Time Capsule with hotel wired internet

How do I use my Time Capsule as a wireless router on my hotel free internet ethernet cable?

    It may not be possible..
If they use a web access page, then there is no way you can set the TC to authenticate.. you must use the computer to authenticate and then use the computer to bridge to the TC for wireless clients to access.
Look up instructions on using ICS (internet connection sharing) in the Mac.
    eg for 10.6.8 http://support.apple.com/kb/PH6589
    eg http://support.apple.com/kb/PH10740
Of course if there is no login then you could just use it.. but I doubt you would be asking if it just worked.

  • Internet does not work on my tablet

All of a sudden my tablet stopped connecting to the internet more than a month ago. Actually, it might be around the time that I received an email from Comcast stating that there was free xfinity wifi that the internet stopped working. There seems to be nothing wrong with the modem because the internet connection on my desktop has been working fine. There has been "intermittent" connections but not a reliable, steady connection. What is going on that my tablet can no longer connect to the internet?

I would recommend checking what wifi network you are connecting to.  Xfinity wifi is their hotspot not your internal network.  if you are connected to the xfinity wifi it will not work unless you sign in.

  • Internet Streams in Playlists do not show up on Apple TV

    I use the following setup:
    - Apple TV MD199LL/A (Software 6.0.1) just updated to the latest
    - iTunes 11.1.3 for Windows (from a Windows 7 x64)
    - iTunes 11.1.3 for MAC (from a Apple MacBook Pro x64, Maverix)
Homesharing is turned on both computers
From both machines I share pictures, videos and music.
All photos, videos and music files are getting displayed  on the Apple TV menu, and can be played.
All iTunes playlists from both machines are  getting displazed on the Apple TV
    BUT!
If a internet stream is added to a playlist, this entry does not show on the Apple TV menu.
If the playlist contains only internet streams the Apple TV menu says "There are no songs in this library"
If I hit the play key on my remote, it  will randomly play the first stream in the playlist (not realy reproducable pattern)
I can play those streams in iTunes and send it via AirPlay without problems,
Can anyone help me with this and tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    Thank you

You can only view that rental on the iPad. For it to show up it has to be rented directly on ATV or through a computer and streamed via home sharing
