Ok what the deal Verizon? I play World of warrant, and my sister was also on line, we have bios, both my PC and her PC net cut out, we turned of our PC's turned off the modem (we have cable) and that didnt work....and i was in a raid with friends, Im very highly **bleep** off right now, do u guys do Updates on servers or somthing? this happend 2 times now if I can remember....Seriously if u do updates on ur servers U need to give out warnings of some sort maybe a pop on the Main PC to let us know **bleep**.

gotcha...also when your net goes down just go to the box and try to place a VOD see if it works or not....It will tell us where the culprit is. However for all general purposes no internet means most likely no VOD.
there are a few things that can be done as far as T/S
1. See if you can log into the router if it says Router stats as Go and your not connected try to power cycle. generally I don't recommend a Reset if it only happens a few times but if its sporadic I'd have to say Reset the router.
2. If you have no services working then go check the BBU light if its green try to unplug the power and then unplug the battery there to manually reboot the ONT if need be. This step should only be used if no services are on.

I don't know if Apple is a "genius" company, but it's standard practice in for internet firms like Apple and AT&T to lock down the password on accounts that show repeated attempts at accessing accounts. So far as the computer is concerned, you could be a user - or a hacker.
We've all forgotten our share of passwords. You can always request a new password from Apple. Or you can invest in a password management utility like 1Password that automatically remembers your passwords.

Internet cuts out for 30 secs with powerline adapter PLSK400

I recently just bought a powerline starter kit (PLSK 400) and I plugged one adapter into the router and into the electrical socket. (which is up stairs). I plugged in my other adapter downstairs in my room and it is hooked up to my PC and Playstation.
The only problem is that my internet cuts out every 20 mins for about 30 secs. This gets annoying cause I play games a lot on my desktop. Any reason why this may be happening?

I have been trying to download Mountain Lion and I keep getting 'an error has occured' after about 40 mins or an hour. Then I notice that the iMac is not connected to the Internet. However the iPad and iPhone are (using airport). I am using ethernet adapters which are paired. I have also taken my 24inch iMac out of the study and into the hall and connected it directly to the router using an ethernet cable with still the same result. I have been on the Apple helpline to a high level but they have been unable to sort it out and we've checked most things. I have plenty of capacity on the iMac so it should take the Mountain Lion ios easily. I have checked the broadband speed and it was 6.21 (using the ethernet adaptors). Could there be a conflict somewhere between the iMac and the BT broadband? It does seem to drop out when we listen to our Sonos system too. Please help. Thanks, Fioled

Downloading Moutain Lion requires a high speed broadband connection.
6.21 will never work. That is not broadband.
Make certain your Mac can run Mountain Lion > System requirements for OS X Mountain Lion
Check your download speed here > Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test
Anything less than 15Mbps will not be fast enough to download Mountain Lion. It's a 4.35GB (approximately) file. That will time out on a slow connection.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

If you have any iTunes Movies and TV Shows, remove them. iTunes Movies and TV Shows make up 75% of your backup time.
example: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone takes up 4 GBs of iPhone Storage and costs 1-2 hours of backing up when it's on your hard drive.
There's two ways to remove them if they're not necessary:
iTunes - Phone Device - Checkbox "Only Sync Checked Music and Videos" below, then go to Movies and TV Shows tabs on iTunes itself and uncheck every single movie and TV show not needing to back up, then sync to remove them.
iTunes - Phone Device - Movies and TV Shows - Sync "None" versus "Unwatched" or "All", then sync to remove them.
Also, Video Camera movies if they are in your Photos. If they're on Camera Roll, remove those / move them to Photos. They take up large amounts of space.

Sound went out for only one song

just like that. it was fine one minute and then i played it again and there was nothing. i checked everything and it is all right. i checked some of my other songs and the audio was fine.

How to change security questions when you don't know the answers?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
