Hello breezy504, I also ran into this issue with one of the Treo 680’s here in my office. The Treo 680 was unlocked, and at the time I had a T-Mobile Sidekick Slide. I followed the exact procedures as you by taking my sim card out of the Sidekick Slide and placing it into the Treo 680, but after I made the switch to the Treo 6800 the Internet would not connect. I contacted T-Mobile so that the Sidekick data plan could be taking off of my account and once that was done, I had the T-Mobile representative to change my data plan to a standard internet plan and the data plan swap fixed the issue.

  • Itunes and Internet wont open because of a "netsh reset" code

My Itunes store was having troubles opening before, and i couldnt figure anything out to make it work. i updated it, redownloaded it, and finally used a "Netsh reset" code in the command prompter. this resulted in Itunes not even opening, and neither did my internet. i've no idea how to fix it or what to do. help?

Try removing QUicktime and installing the stand alone version. Also check for incompatible software.
    Here is a method
Have you installed any of the following:
ACE & K-Lite mega codecs package, QT alternative, Storm codec, WinAVI video converter, Mpcstar, (possibly starcodec pack, 3ivx)
    If so uninstall them.
Then download the version of Quickime without iTunes:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Now Remove Quicktime using the method for Quicktime in this article (just Quicktime):
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
When you come to your C:\Windows\system32\ folder you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart you computer
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check if it starts.
If it does you are in a position to find out if iTunes is OK.

  • Ive tried recovery mode but every time i try to restore my ipod touch it just goes back to conect to itunes and it wont connect because i dont know the password

    ive tried re

A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (or if you forgot your passcode)
iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
    iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
If you need to restore your device or if you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to
             update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.
If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
         1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
         2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
              and Home buttons.
         3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
             start with step 2 again.
         4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
         5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
         6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • Contribute wont connect online

I am using Contribute version 3, have been for 1 year. I use
it to manage the website of our business and make basic changes to
text. Suddenly, when I open Contribute and click on the hyperlink
of my website, it does not open; thus, I cannot edit any pages to
make changes. I deleted the connection and tried to create a new
one, but I get the message "Contribute cannot verify your
connection information." However, going back a step, I relize when
I try to browse to my websites home page to create a new
connection, that the internet explorer browser cannot display any
pages. I think the issue is that I cannot connect to the internet
while in contribute, but I know my internet is connected, because I
am using firefox as we speak to send this message. any help would
    be great!

By default Contribute I believe uses the IE browser engine.
    Close
Contribute; see if you can connect to the site in IE. If yes:
    I wouldn't
know; if no, check your connection settings in IE.

Everytime i plug my phone into itunes it says it cant connect because the phone is locked well i restored my phone twice and set a new passcode the last time and it still wont work . I even deleted itunes and reinstalled it , it dosent work . HELP PLZ !!

I had the same issue. I tried everything unchecking / rechecking, formatting Iphone and restoring from backup etc etc.
In the end it was a simple issue which might of might not help you.
A number of months ago I relocated by Itunes folder to a NAS drive. It appears when I did the last I tunes update Itunes set the destination path of the Itunes media to the default location, the result was Itunes couldn't install music, apps, video until I set the correct destination path.
The bit that confused me was it was transferring some media. This was of course the media I had downloaded since the last Itunes update which had gone to the default location.
I hope that makes sense and is off some help.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • New Macbook Pro Wont Connect to Internet

I just got a Macbook Pro today and it wont connect to the my wireless connection. The only thing I can think of is when I was in the start up it ask what I connected to the internet with and because I was not within my own network I press "This computer does not connect to the internet" option. How do I change this?

I'm using a Linksys WRT54G and ran into these exact symptoms today. After downloading all available updates, dwiddling with a bunch of stuff I didn't really understand (but that's never stopped a hacker like me), getting frustrated in trying to figure out how to either make a reservation with a local Mac Store Genius or talk to a real person at Apple Support I tried unplugging my wireless router and resetting it. My computer came up and is now working fine... go figure.
I've got to admit that I was ready to panic after looking at the discussion board. I'm an old PC person and now consider myself a "convert" to Macs. Glad it didn't let me down.

I recently updated to itunes 10.5. Until then, itunes would connect to the internet ok. now it wont connect at all.
I have read through other forum topics for an answer. I have a firewall but I have checked the firewall settings and itunes is set for full access. i am not using a proxy. I keep getting a message saying my computer is not connected to the internet. This is not correct as all of my other application connect ok to the internet. I have tried completely uninstalling all apple software and then reinstalling but still get the same problem.
    How can I resolve this?

Have EXACTLY the same issue thePOPEofDOPE420, tried the setting> general> reset> reset network setting suggestion - but this does nothing. Still the issue persists.
WiFi - internet works great. As soon as it's off, status bars showing a full signal, 3G but the web page/Facebook app/App Store just hangs and won't load.

    If yes
    Update Server
    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem

I'm having the same problem. We just swapped our router when joining the ATT Uverse. It's also a 2Wire and the Kodak ESP7 will not connect to the network.
I've seen suggestions that the printer won't let go of its previous ip address. That a static address needs to be set for the printer.
