Internet works in every room but one...

Alright, here is the deal.
I have a WRT54G wireless router. In every room in the house, I can get on the internet. There is one room in the house that is the problem, and it is equally distanced from all the other room. The strangest thing is that I get full signal strength from the router, but no matter what computer or network device enters the room, it immediatley loses ability to connect to the internet.
Case in point... I will walk around the house with my laptop and the internet will work in every room except the one room. Again, I will have full strenght connection to the router, but I cannot connect to any websites. I can ping a site like google, it will find the ip address, but all request will time out.
Does anyone have ANY ideas?

There are lots of factors that can effect wireless connections, and lots of different solutions. I suspect that there is something in the room that is "jamming" your signal, such as the 2.4 GHz devices listed below. To fix your problem:
First of all, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your computer find and lock on to your router's signal.
Poor wireless connections are often caused by radio interference from other 2.4 GHz devices. This includes wireless phones, wireless baby monitors, Bluetooth (including Bluetooth game controllers), microwave ovens, wireless mice and keyboards, wireless speakers, and your neighbor's wireless network. Even some 5+ GHz phones also use the 2.4 Ghz band. Unplug these devices, and see if that corrects your problem.
In your router, try a different channel. There are 11 channels in the 2.4 GHz band. Usually channel 1, 6, or 11 works best. Check out your neighbors, and see what channel they are using. Because the channels overlap one another, try to stay at least +5 or -5 channels from your strongest neighbors. For example, if you have a strong neighbor on channel 9, try any channel 1 through 4.
Also, try to locate the router about 4 to 6 feet above the floor, in an open area. Do not locate it behind your monitor or near other computer equipment or speakers. The antenna should be vertical.

WRT110 works for every website except ONE after login, help please

I have a WRT110 version 1.0
It works for every website, except one. And it works for that one website just fine, until I login. When I enter my username/password it accepts it then redirects me to the companies landing page. I can see that because the URL loading changes and it shows the Title in the page which indicates it connected, but then it just sits there 'loading', in the status bar I see the message: "Waiting for tools.domain.com... to load" or something like that. and it takes like 5 to 10 minutes, no joke, then it loads.
If I connect my computer directly to the modem and bypass the router, then it loads just fine, very fast like everything else.
But then when I re-connect my router and refresh the page, it does it again, takes forever, but I can instanly see the title of the page in the title bar.
It works on every computer that I connect trough the mobile hotspot on my 4G verizon phone. but if it is through the router, every computer takes 5 to 10 minutes. Literrally.
Anyone have this happen to them? If so, how did you fix it?

Try the following settings:
# Open up the browser on the desktop and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page…
# Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)
# Then click on Security tab disable SPI Firewall Protection, uncheck Filter Anonymous Internet Requests...
Now check the connectivity status.

In the same box, firefox saves every form but one..

this happens in my phone operator website. There is a place to send sms and there is a box to enter the phone number to send the sms. Firefox saves every phone number but one... I don't remember what I did but it used to store that number as well as the others, now it doesn't.. it is like its on blacklist or something... I tried clearing form history, reinstalling firefox, deleting registry entries.. it wont save that number..

Did you give yourself write permissions for this registry key?
You may nee to go up a level and apply the permission to sub keys:

Internet works fine on websites.but not on email and itunes

guys my internet works fine. its wireless and on my browser it works perfectly fine. but for some reason when i want to go the the itunes music store or play a game that uses internet (PIRATES of the caribeean online) it says it cant connect to the server. is it because of my firewall? for some reason i cannot figureout how to fix it. Linksys wireless works on every computer but mine

My linksys wireless router is bringing wireless to the other laptops in my house just not mine. It connects and says the connection is low or excellent but I can't connect to the internet. I can connect to my neighbor's WLAN and get wireless and i could connect to the linksys at my friend's house but for some reason the one at my house wont work.
Help!

Having said that, mailto is not a reliable method of getting feedback from a site because it relies on email software such as Outlook being installed locally. Many people use web-based email services such as Gmail.
Better to point them to a contact form on your website.

Recently my Credit union recommended for me to down load most up to date Java because of security issues. Ever since I am unable to access my credit union from Firefox. I can access it through Explorer.
Firefox will not bring up my plug in. I also am having same issue with Food Lion sight with Red Plum coupons. Please try to help me I like your web browser but If I can not get this straightened I guess I will have to blow it away & find a new one. I have uninstalled this several times even using Micro soft site & still no luck. thanks

Try using http://ninite.com/java/ninite.exe to install Java, make sure you close Firefox

My internet works for my laptop but why won't it let my ipod connect?

I don't know what's wrong... I even restored the whole thing but it didn't make a difference. The internet is fine and it allows my laptop to connect, but not my ipod touch. What's wrong?? Help!

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Resetting network setting on the iPod: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

ARD 2.2 works on every machine expect one

I have a network of identically configured sawtooth machines, 10.4.5 and ARD 2.2, which I can manage via ARD, all except for one machine which the RD client cannot connect to. I have no idea why. I used the same custom remote desktop installer package on every machine and the problem machine shows ARD service is running and configured just like all the other machines. Yet my ARD client cannot add this machine to the master list, it acts like ARD is not running. What are some things I can check? Thanks.

I would check your network settings. If you are using DHCP, I would set it to manual, apply the setting, and then set it back to DHCP to force it to pull an IP again. Use that IP and use the "add by address" in ARD to see if you can add that Mac.

Wireless internet work on MAC's but not on the PC's

I just bought the time capsule recently, set it up and all that good stuff. I have two MAC's connecting wirelessly with on and off speeds. I also have two PCs with wireless card. Before time capsule i was running on a Linksys WRT54G and the wireless worked fine on both MAC's and the PC's. The problem i am having is that the internet on the PC's are always down. I would have to go through the diagnostics test or making the internet come back to life with renewing the IP's or clicking "Repair". When it does work it works fine, then couple hours later the internet dies. It is never connected. Where as on the MAC's it is perfectly fine anytime. Before on the Linksys i could have my PC's up 24/7 and the internet wouldn't die. Any suggestions or tips? anything please. THANK YOU!

I have had a couple of occaisions where the WiFi on my Macbook Air got in a knot. It seemed to come good after power cycling the router.
You could try removing your network from the computer and then adding it back again.
System Preferences > Network > select WiFi > click Advanced > select the WiFi tab > click the name of your network > press the minus button to remove it. Then add the network back again.
