Interrupted download does not begin on reopening iTunes

I was in the middle of downloading a few shows from iTunes and received a message that the downloads required a newer version of iTunes (7.6+). The downloads stopped and I proceeded to "upgrade" my version. I have downloaded the upgrade (a few times now) and when I check the status of purchased items I get the same message saying I need to upgrade my iTunes version to download.
Any ideas?

The download should put a file named iTunesSetup.exe on your hard drive.
Then you need to go to it in WIndows Explorer, and double-click on it to install itunes 8.

Make sure your Mac qualifies to run Mountain Lion > Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.
Try disabling anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferencs > Security & Privacy
Apps such as Little Snitch and Net Nanny can prevent apps from downloading from the App store including Mountain Lion.
Third party download managers are not compatible with the App Store.
Keep in mind, for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk using Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation.

CD download does not how up in iTunes

In the past, when I loaded a CD onto my computer and into iTunes, it would show up in my Music library. Now when I download a CD, I can't find it unless I put the name of the CD or the artist into my search box, then it shows up. I have to literally drag it out. I need it to just show up in my music library like it used to. I am using iTunes 11.1.4. I'm used to a much older version.

It might not be compatible with the iPad or the iOS version you're running on your iPad (you can check the app store to find out). You also have to have the same Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores and have Apps turn to On under Automatic Downloads.

re: quantization.
Logic can do a "soft" quantize as it's recording, by soft I mean playback MIDI data is quantized for both audio and visuals (piano roll), but if you turn quantize off you will see your notes as you played them.
Select a MIDI track, softsynth or external, in the upper left corner of the Inspector is a Quantize value. Click and hold to see what's available.
While you're there, make sure the Delay value is set to zero.
Also make sure that Preferences/Audio "Recording Delay" is set to zero.
And last, (very important.)
Delete the Logic 10 preferences file AND the shared control surfaces file.
In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.
Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
Press the Go button.
Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro.
then delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
Make sure and remove both files.

Error from reports from ZAM(Graph or PDF) - File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

I just noticed today that any Graph or PDF report I try to view I get the
following error - Error from reports from ZAM - File does not begin with
'%PDF-'. I tried to just save the file and then open it, but get the same
error. I can open other pdf files I have downloaded from other sites ok.
Anyone have any idea? I haven't done anything to that server that I am
aware of in quite a while.

I took a closer look at the files it downloaded, opened them with notepad,
haer is what it says:

I have just upgraded to Iphone 4S after my Iphone 3G failed and I am trying to transfer the infpormation. Swisscom tell me they cannot help but when I connect the Iphone 4S to my computer noting happensd it does not bring up my itunes account as the 3G ?

I have just upgraded to Iphone 4S as my Iphone 3G failed. I want to transfer the data which I believe is stored in my Itunes account. But when I connect the phone to my computer nothing happens it just ask me if I want to download pictures or video. it does not go to my Itunes account.
swisscom say they cannot help it should go to your account and select the phone under devises but I canniot get a screen to do this can anyone help

Thank you SO very much for posting this. I had the exact issue with my iPad Mini after the same upgrade. Hard reset failed, computer would not recognize iPad. I had read all the other instructions and nothing worked.... YOUR SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME - with a slight variation.
I followed your lead and connected my iPad Mini to another computer, fired up iTunes, it saw the iPad Mini in Restore Mode and allowed me to go into Restore (yes, it wiped all of the data but I have a back up on the other computer that would not see it after the failed update). It installed the latest iOS 7.1.2 as well. I then disconnected it from that computer, reconnected it to the computer that would not see it prior and it then saw it as a new iPad and allowed me to Restore my backup and now it's all good!
I detailed my steps only because you downloaded the previous version - 7.1.1 whereas I downloaded the latest version (7.1.2) and then restored my back up.

Do you have the absolute latest version of iTunes downloaded? If your iTunes software has not been updated in some time, your iPad will not be recognized. With iTunes open, click on Store at the top. Check for available downloads and if there are any, download them. Once you've verified you have the latest software, connect your device again, and it should be recognized.

From looking at the top level VI though I bet your problem is that you are using the equals function to stop the loops. Your I32 gets type cast as a dbl, and the chance that they are equal is very slim.
The reason is that doing an equal compare of doubles is never a good idea. The double may show up in your indicator as 1 but if you increase the digits of precision on that control you would see that is was actually something like 1.0000000000000001. So your math may lead to 1.000000000001 and the conversion of the I32 to dbl may lead to 1, therefore they are not equal and the loops will not finish.
