Interrupted import from itunes stopped download...

I was importing a season pass of a TV show from itunes. The computer was in the middle of the last three episodes when I had to shut down my computer for the night. I pasused the downloads. When I opened itunes back up, I could not get itunes to continue the download, not even when I had it check for available downloads. Anything I can do? Or do I need to re-buy the episodes to get them?

Go to purchase history, click the arrow next to the purchase, click "Report a Problem" and report the problem.
Apple should resolve within a day.

  • How to import from ITunes in normal AAC file? (not protected)

How do I import from Itunes in a normal AAC file? (ideally in 320kbps) but most important, not a protected file!
Alternatively, how do I convert from protected aac to normal aac?
    Tks for you help.

    Hi,
How do I import from Itunes in a normal AAC file?
Go to iTunes Preferences, and choose- Advanced/Importing and under "Import Using" choose AAC, under "Setting" choose 320kbps. Copy protection is only added to songs downloaded from the iTunes Store, and not songs you import from cd's.
how do I convert from protected aac to normal aac?
The only legitimate way is to burn the songs to a cd, and then re- import them using the settings discussed above.

  • How to import FROM iTunes

I downloaded a movie and want to import it out of iTunes to my videos folder on my laptop to watch because I don't want to have Internet on just to watch a movie. That's ridiculous. The only Internet I have is my iPhones hotspot which doesn't work downstairs (signal is crap in the house). So is there ANY way I can get this move out of iTunes so I watch it without Internet access?
I can't believe I'm here asking this because nothing should be this stupidly complicated...

  • My ipad streaming purchased video from itunes stops every few seconds.  does not happen with any other streaming video service.

my ipad streaming purchased video from itunes stops every few seconds.  This does not happen with any other streaming video service.  I have restarted and rebooted already.

I've tried both things, but video still stutters.. Have also tried removing profile, and complete reinstall of firefox.
I'm on 24 Mbit cable and the only user atm. IE and Chrome seems to work without stuttering.
I've having this stuttering every ~5th second, like a small "1/4 sec buffering".

  • When i try to import from itunes into FCP 7 i get error, file error; 39 files recognized,0 access denied 243 unknown

Be careful,  FCP is an open system which is great, but it allows you to work with formats that are not completely compatible with fcp and can cause serious problems down the road.  You can check the formats of all audio files brought into fcp by selecting them in the browser and hitting command-9,  Use compressor to convert all audio files to 48k 16 bit aiffs before importing to fcp.  There's a preset for this format in the apple presets.  You mention video files.  The same thing holds.  In particular, avoid bringing in h264 quicktime movies.  Convert to an fcp friendly format like prores using compressor.

  • Sound quality from iTunes Store downloads

    Hi Mac Mavens,
I'm a pretty discerning listener and I'm wondering about the quality of the sound from iTunes Store downloads vis-a-vis a CD. If you play them side by side through a very good sound system would you be able to hear the difference? Any audiophiles out there who have made the comparison? What's your verdict?
    Thanks one and all,
    CZ1957

I, for one, can hear the difference between 256 Kbit AAC and uncompressed AIFF over my Imac's tiny speakers. Over a good sound system, the difference is not subtle.
Compressed audio is inferior to the original, and there's very little argument about that. It's my understanding that most people can hear the difference between lossy compression and uncompressed audio.
Upon hearing it, however, some people can live with the difference, while others can't.
There are two very good reasons why you might wish obtain your audio on physical CD's: 1) if you care about the artistic intent of the musician and you want to hear everything they created, that's only available on CD, and 2) you might not wish to be overcharged for an inferior product. The "iTunes Plus" compression throws away about 80% of the information in the original audio, yet the cost is about the same as a physical CD. Why anyone pays $10 for one fifth of the data on a CD, when all the data is available for about the same price, is beyond me.

  • IPhone album art from iTunes not downloading

Recently, I have not been able to get my album art from iTunes to download to my phone. It appears in my iTunes on my computer, but will not transfer. It also will not appear on my phone when I purchase the music FROM my phone, but appears in my computer's iTunes. I've reset my phone, but the problem continues. This problem has only been happening for about the last two months and I've had my phone over a year. (iPhone 4, Verizon)

the album covers are fine on itunes on my computer, but on my iphone they don't work. as in, when I sync my iphone to itunes, it switches the covers around to different covers. it seems to be random.

  • My video playlists from iTunes stop playing after about 3 episodes on Apple TV 2. Is there any fix for this?

My video playlists from iTunes stop playing after about 3 episodes. It just appears to buffer for no reason. I have checked to make sure that the hard drive that these movies are on does not go to sleep. Any ideas?

    Hi,
The "Tools" are in the old drop down menu, which are not shown by default in the new Firefox Design. To show this menu:
    Firefox Menu > Customize
On the bottom left there will be Show/Hide Toolbars. The Menu will be listed here.

  • Purchased videos from itunes store download/upload issues

I purchased movie from itunes store downloaded it onto my itouch works plays is fine --but when I tried to sync or drag the movie onto my windows computer into itunes or sync it with itunes cannot get the + sign only no go.  Getting frustrated--I bought this movie actually for my wife and then cannot get it onto her itouch since it will not transfer into itunes for me to get it moved/transferred onto her itouch.  Both itouch's are authorized on this computer.  I am confused--why buy the video if you cannot work with it on your devices?  Please help!

Did you check your trash can? Did you make a backup copy of your videos that you purchased? That is something that is always reminded to users that purchase from the itunes store...to make a backup copy to their purchased music. The idea is once you buy the music and you lose it well then its gone forever. I highly doubt you can get what you purchased from the itunes music store back again without purchasing them again. But that is weird that you had the videos and and their gone now. Have you tried searching for them on your computer harddrive? Did you do a recent hard reset to your ipod? Are you manually updating your ipod and deciding what to sync and not?

  • Help please! can't import CDs, Itunes stops working and shuts down:(

Hi All, Itunes worked fine up until couple of days ago and now when I insert a CD to import it recognises the CD but when it starts importing, itunes stops working and shuts down immediately. What do I need to do? I read the discussions but couldn't find an answer, most questions were about burning a CD so your help will be highly appreciated...many thanks indeed

Itunes worked fine up until couple of days ago and now when I insert a CD to import it recognises the CD but when it starts importing, itunes stops working and shuts down immediately.
First we need to check your precise version number, elektra. In iTunes go "Help > About iTunes" and wait for the version number to scroll up from the bottom of the screen.
Do you see *iTunes 10.1.0.54* ? If so, we need to update you to version 10.1.0.56 . It probably wont appear for you in Apple Software Update if you already have a 10.1.0.54 already installed, so you'll need to download the installer from the Apple Website, as per the following document:

  • ITunes stops downloading when other programs are running

I noticed recently that as soon as I open any other programs while iTunes is running in the background, it stops downloading music. Any suggestions?
    David

When you say "downloading music", do you mean downloading music to your iPod, or importing music from CDs, or something else?
Also, with other applications closed by iTunes opened, launch your Task Manager, and go to the "Processes" tab.
Watch these three processes: iTunes.exe, iPodService.exe, and iTunesHelper.exe.
Now, try launching some other application.
Do either of those three processes in any way disappear, then reappear again, or anything similar? Or do they stay fine and the same when you open another program?

  • ITunes stops downloading due to other windows

iTunes stops importing the minute I open another program and that program's window is on top of iTunes. Any ideas how to prevent this?
    Thanks in advance.
    David

I just upgraded to the latest iTunes and am having the same problem. My guess is that because I disabled autorun on my CD ROM iTunes checks the CD drive each time iTunes looses and gains focus.
In previous versions it did this gracefully while importing CDs. It just looks like some developers should have been given more time and/or coffee. I'm sure there will be an update soon, but until then iTunes will be a bummer to work with. (Especially considering I just bought my wife a new nano video and we want to rip her CD collection into iTunes... oh well.)
iTunes used to offer to re-enable auto-run, but with companies like Sony out there who are willing to use autorun on audio CDs to install rootkits, I don't trust autorun anymore. (Plus I love having that extra control over what happens on my computer.)
Here's hoping it gets fixed soon! Any other tips someone has on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: ejecting an iPod also stopps the CD importing process and removes the CD from the "devices" menu on the left. (but does not eject the CD) weird.

  • Itunes stops downloading when almost complete

Hi there, my friend has a dell laptop brand new not sure what model running windows 7. Whenever i attempt to download itunes the download reaches around 70-90% completion and then stops. I've tried IE, firefox and google chrome and all of them fail. I installed itunes via usb (downloading from another computer) and after installing it have found out that my friend is unable to sync her iphone (it synch's for a second and then stops) although this isn't the case on another computer so i suspect that itunes is the problem. If it helps the free version of AVG is installed on the computer. The computer only does this with itunes, i've been unable to recreate the problem with any other download.

Are the other downloads as large as the itunes download?
If you are DLing on a wireless connection, try from a wired connection.
You were able to DL from another PC, I presume it had a different internet connection.
Example of where hte wireless router was causing problems:
