Interrupted J2RE Installation

While installing J2RE SE v1.4.2_05 my internet connection was disrupted as files were being downloaded. When it (the connection) was restored I tried to install the runtime again but got the message:
"Internal Error 2755. 1624,
http://java.sun.com/webapps/download/GetFile/1.4.2_05-b04/windows-i586/Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_05.msi".
I clicked "OK" button and a J2RE - InstallShieldWizard appeared, which said:
"InstallShield Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_05 could be completely installed.
You can either keep any existing installed elements on your system to continue this installation at a later time or you can restore your system to its orignal state prior to the installation.
Click Restore or Continue Later to exit the wizard"
with 3 buttons at the bottom: "<Back", "Finish" and "Cancel". There isn't a "Restore" or "Continue Later" button.
May I know how to rescue the situation please.
Thks & rgds/Henry

YOu just restore the installation and bring back your system to its original stage then try dwonloading the ofline installation version so that you download the software first ehn you install it.
You can get it at.
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
in this download J2SE JRE
Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language (j2re-1_4_2_05-windows-i586-p.exe)
Then your problem is solved.

  • Help! After interrupting an installation of a program downloaded from the internet on my mac in a reboot cycle will not start, I've already done the disk check and it's ok and I reinstalled the OS 10.8 Lion

After interrupting an installation of a program downloaded from the internet on my mac in a reboot cycle will not start, I've already done the disk check and it's ok and I reinstalled the OS 10.8 Lion

In this case, I think that there's something damaged that can't be fixed just reinstalling OS X.
If you don't want to lose files, you will have to create a second partition in the hard drive and install OS X there, so you will be able to recover everything you need. Then, you will have to erase the first partition and reinstall OS X. Follow these steps:
    1. Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.
    2. You can follow the steps of this site to create a second partition > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU3.html
    3. After creating the second partition, close Disk Utility and install OS X on the second partition.
    4. When the installation finishes, open Finder and, in the sidebar, you will see the other partition. Open it and recover the files you need.
    5. After doing that, repeat the step 1.
    6. Select “Macintosh HD” in the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
    7. Close Disk Utility and install OS X on the first partition.
After doing all of these steps (you will need a lot of time to do this), you can delete the second partition you created and add the size of this partition into the first one > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU4.html

  • How to delete the unwanted Remains after interrupt an installation.

I was trying to install EVE online on my mac book air. But during installation, I decide not to  and then interrupt the process. I was expecting that the disk space it took be freed after cancelling, but it wasn't. And because that program's size is of several gigabytes, It occupies a significant amount of my disk space. And I don't like that at all.
I tried to delete whatever about eve stored in /Applications in terminal with "rm -rf EVE\ Online.app", but the disk is still not freed, so I wonder if the remains is in somewhere else. Anybody know how to locate the junk files and delete them? I do cherish the limited disk space on my air...
    Thanks...

    Hello,
It is not easily possible to delete the workitems from UWL in MSS except using Batch program in backend ECC.
Check again in the ECC, the workflow is got trigered and there is surely workitem in the manager's SAP Inbox. Check the tcode swia, enter the workflow task number and the workflow is got triggerred.
Use swi5 tcode to see the Completed Workitems and to be completed workitems for that Employe (manager).
The other reason could be.....somebody might hv executed this wf item, but still lying in UWL lists in  MSS.
Try to re-register the system using UWL Wokflow Administrator in System Administration.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT201364 1 currently have iOS X Lion 10.7.4 on my MacBook Air. I have downloaded an update marked 10.7.5 but cannot intel it. an error message interrupts the installation. my final destination is OS X Maverick. what do I do to upgrade and get to Maverik

I have tried several times to upgrade from iOS X Lion 10.7.4 to 10.7.5 without luck. Installation stops halfway with an error message. So, I cannot migrate to Maverick. What do I do?

You do not need the Lion 10.7.5 update. Just download and install Mavericks 10.9.2 direct from the App Store and install it over the top of your current version of Lion.
And don't forget to make a full backup of your system before upgrading.

  • J2re installer updates jws as well

My application requires jdk1.4.2, thus I am using Webstart to (auto-)install an approriate jre, but when the user does have a lower jdk what happens is that it first downloads all jars from my application using jws1.0.1 then it loads the jdk1.4.2_04 and implicitly a newer jws, then it asks to reboot the PC, after all this the user wants to launch the application, so he probably opens Webstart, but he does not find the downloaded application as this was downloaded by the former Webstart !? All shortcuts for Webstart now refer to the newer Webstart..and the user will be forced to download the application again.
This is true for XP and Win2000, for Win98 and NT the shortcuts for the former jws1.0.1 are still valid.
Does anybody have a similar issue ?

Took me awhile to figure out when this happens.
Normally, when you install 1.4.2 (or 1.5) on a system that allready has Java Web Start 1.2 (or 1.0.1) the first time it launches it will see that this is the first time, and it will update config settings based on where they were in the 1.2 (or 1.0.1) version you used before.
It does this by looking in its config file (if there is one) and seeing if there is a version specification.
if it isn't there, or if it is less that 1.4.2, it will do this update.
This will include changing the cache location from the 1.4.2 (or 1.5) default, to whatever was being used in a previous release. (so the described behavior - loosing your allready cached programs) will not happen.
But on a system that ever had 1.4.2 installed, then uninstalled, the config file is not removed, so if you then proceed to use 1.2 (or 1.0.1) , and later upgrade (either manually or by using a jnlp file that causes auto-install 1.4.2) The first time you run 1.4.2, it will see it's config file, and that it already contains the version=1.4.2 line,. So it will not think this is an upgrade.
Anyway this is a problem you should only see on system where you downgrade, and the upgrade. back.

  • How do I resume an interrupted installation of Adobe reader 11.0.02?

I inadvertently interrupted the installation of this reader by shutting down the browser.  The installation progress bar failed to advance for several minutes at which point I checked the task manager to see if there was any processing related to the installation.  There was none, so I stopped the installation process.  I tried to reinstall the reader, the installation begun and seemed to be proceeding normally, but then I got a message that the installation had been interrrupted with Error 150210?  The installation was dead in the water.  A third attempt yielded the same results.  Any ideas on how to proceed?

Your mention of Task Manager leads me to believe that you are on Windows.
Download and run the Acroab Removal Tool http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html - note that this tool will also remove Acrobat if you have it installed.
Next download and run the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • TS1538 interrupted installation of IOS7 on iphone 4

    hi
I am trying to find out how to recover my iphone 4 - I took it to O2 this afternoon as I have a frozen screen asking me to plug into itunes.  I was told I interrupted the installation of the update.  can I save my contacts?  do I have to reinstall itunes?  i really dont know what to do?

next time you can try a hard reset by pressing the sleep/awake button and the home button for 10 to 15 seconds until the apple logo appears.
I always recommend to use itunes to perform any IOS updates. It usually prevents many errors and gives you the opportunity to backup all your information in case of problems.
Glad you got your phone working!

  • Javaws 64-bit fails to installer newer JRE  (Java7u6 auto-upgrading to u7)

    Hi,
I have a machine with an previous version of java installed (tried with 1.7.0_06).
My Jnlp file is set to automatically download the latest JRE. This works fine if the JRE installed is 32-bit. But if the user has downloaded the x64 bit version (on windows 7), everything works, except when I change the required version spec to 1.7.0_07.
The confirmation dialog to install 1.7.0_07 comes up but fails, as it tries to download and run the 32-bit installer while the javaws is 64-bit. Shouldn't the 64-bit version download a 64-bit version when auto-downloading?

    Hi outpaddling,
Remember, you tried the "cacls" command and it did not work for you. I spent sometime on it and found that on Win7, there's command called "takeown" on Win7, which allows an administrator to recover access to a file/folder that was denied by re-assigning file ownership.
    Could you try the following?
Note: You must elevate the level of permissions for Win 7 with UAC enabled.
    On Windows 7
Choose Start > Programs > Accessories.
Right-click on Command Line and select Run As Administrator.
If Error 1321 is being caused due to some file e.g. if it's ACE.dll, then it's containing folder e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0" is to be mentioned in the below command line. The below command in blue can be typed at the command line and the end press Enter Key.
    C:\Windows\system32>takeown /f "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0" /r /d y && icacls "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0" /grant administrators:F SYSTEM:F /t
After running the command, you should be seeing something like this,
Successfully processed 1367 files; Failed processing 0 files
And then try installing Reader 9.3.3 from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.3/enu/AdbeRdr933_en_US.exe
    Hope, it helps.

  • No keyboard & mouse during Win 7 installation on 13" rMBP (Haswell)

Installing Windows 7 64-bit with Boot Camp isn't possible because the keyboard and mouse aren't working on my new 13" rMBP with Haswell processor. I've downloaded the "Support software" and used the Boot Camp Assistante to create the install USB drive. Adding a USB keyboard and mouse doesn't solve the problem. Has anybody solved the problem or should I wait for Apple to update the "Support software"?

Have seen the update and done what I could with it, again I am stuck on the last step, aka having to enter a name for the partition and choose a color, I have read that i need a wired mouse and keyboard to get past this step. Is that true? I have just been assuming maybe there is something else going on and my system is missing something during that final step. Do I have to suck it up and buy a wired mouse and keyboard?
    Another thing.
This download contains the Windows Support Software (Windows Drivers) you need to support 64 bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 on your Mac.
For more information on which operating systems are supported on different Mac systems, click here:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634
              • The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it,  if it is not automatically uncompressed.
              • Double-click the Boot Camp5 folder.
              • Copy the entire contents of the .zip file to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system
              • When running Windows, locate the Boot Camp folder on the USB media you created in Step 3 and double click to open it.
              • Double click on setup to start installing the Boot Camp Support Software.
              • When prompted to allow changes, click on Yes and follow the onscreen instructions.
              • Installation can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. When installation is complete, click Finish in the dialog that appears.
              • A system restart dialog box appears.  Click Yes to complete the installation.
When running Windows, locate the Boot Camp folder on the USB media I created in step three. How would I be able to do this if I cant get past last step of the installation process

  • How to rollback the oracle silent installation

    Hello Guys!
i have one simple question related to the Oracle silent installation.
I implemented embedded installation of Oracle in silent mode for my product.
But i want to implement the rollback feature, i mean it should be possible to interrupt silent installation of Oracle s\w and it should be implemented in correct way. All installed files services should be removed, cleared all registry keys, cleared the inventory information etc.
So if someone knows anything how to perform this functionality it will be great help for me. I see only two ways:
    1. To write something into the input stream of the process, like "stop", "cancel" ...
    Maybe it is funny idea
    2. The second way to perform termination of process and clear all information in scripts, but this is waste of time and may cause some addional errors at execution.
    3. So if you can help me thanks in advance
    Alex

    Hello Nicolas!
yes you are very close to the theme. I used this codes but it is not what i am looking for now. I'll try to explain:
    ---------------------------------------- xx% ---------------------------------------
    | Oracle Installer is strated | ---------------> | Oracle istallation is done |
    ---------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------
    | |
    | |
    | to interrupt installation
    | |
    |______________|
go to the same state as before installation
Thus do you know the best way how to implement this process:
    1. To interrupt silent installation of Oracle
    2. Rollback all changes made by interrupted setup program(some files are installed etc, but i don't need them since i had interrupted the installation process)
    So thanks for your answer
    Alex
