INTERVALS in a Domain

Hi All,
I want to have search help for a field enhancing the standard table. The search help should give 0-99 as a range and 99-999 in a range.
Say,
It should display 0 - 99. I tried by passing lower limit and upper limit values to the domain as 0 and 99. But it didn't fetch me all the values from 0 till 99. Please guide to me achieve this. I know I'm pretty much wrong this way.
All ur quick inputs is highly appreciated!!
Thanks in Advance,
VV

Yeah, I did try friend, but it didn't work. It just gave me two values in the search help. I wanted all the values from 0 till 99 instead it gave 'Lower Limit' as '0' and 'Upper Limit' as '99'.
Can you suggest an alternative way to go?
Thx in advance.
VV

  • Warning:  Backing up your iWeb 'Domain' file will not save you.

Here's the transcript from my chat with a MobilMe Support Rep. after losing (they simply disappeared) all of my blog's very valuable comments (hundreds), for nearly two years of blog entries.
I have many backed up 'domain' files, and each shows the comments that have been received and saved for all the entries when iWeb first starts up. But then, for some reason iWeb scrubs them (they just disappear) and when I "Publish All" to the web, the entries are published but not the comments attached.
Read MobilMe's response and consider yourselves warned. Backups won't save you. They simply won't. And yet . . . I was actually told I should have backed up. When I told my tech rep I had, then the reality of the situation came out. This is amazing to me.
    Read on . . .
You are chatting with Omran A, a MobileMe Support Representative
Hi, my name is Omran A. Welcome to Apple!
    Omran A: How are you?
Omran A: I see that you have lost your comments.
    Omran A: Correct?
Perry: Yes. Phone just rang, so my responses will be a bit slow for a few
Omran A: I apologize for the inconvenience.
Omran A: Have you upgraded iWeb recently?
Perry: Yes, Omran, is there any way to retrieve them?
Omran A: I am sorry this has happened to you. Losing comments tend to happen when upgrading iweb:
Perry: I'm running the latest version, and have been since it came out. Had problems with people even leaving comments for a while, as did everyone who was using iWeb, but that had become an issue of the past for a few months as memory serves.
    Omran A: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2094
Omran A: Please let me know if you can view the link
Perry: We are well past the info in this upgrade doc. Upgraded long ago
Perry: Yes, I've got it up
Omran A: I just wanted to show you that upgrading iWeb tends to delete comments
Perry: I am at step 6, contact MobilMe support.
Omran A: Can you please give me a link to your site?
    Perry: http://web.me.com/davidperryphoto1/GardenBlog/APhotographers_Garden_Blog/A_Photographers_GardenBlog.html
Omran A: Can you please give me a link to your site?
    Omran A: Thank you
Omran A: Please hold while I do some investigation
Omran A: Did your comments get deleted after updating to iWeb 2.0 or did happen month after that?
Perry: More than a month afterward. Just a week or so ago
    Omran A: OK
    Omran A: Thank you
Omran A: Please hold while I do some further investigation
    Perry: Still there?
    Omran A: Yes
Omran A: I am still performing a investigation.
Omran A: Please give me a few more minutes.
Perry: Thanks. I'll just keep on working here...
Omran A: Thank you for your patience
Omran A: I am terribly sorry. I search all over the servers and I am not able to recover your comments.
Omran A: I suggest backing up comments regularly.
Omran A: I suggest backing up comments regularly.
Perry: When I start up iWeb with my saved "domain" file, I see the comments, but then, within moments, the program scrubs them, because, apparently they are no longer out there on the web. Is there anyway to recapture them from the saved domain file?
Perry: How the heck do I back up my comments if they are stored in some obscure place on one of your servers and seperate from my website?
Omran A: So you see them and then they disappear
    Perry: yes
    Omran A: OK
Omran A: I believe the following link shows you how to backup to save comments
    Omran A: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2094
Perry: Omran, look. I have a backed up copy of my domain, just as they direct. When I start up iWeb with this file, I see the saved comments. But when I publish all, as directed, I get the blog but I get no comments published. That's why you and I are talking. I've apparently got the comments still in some form in my saved domain, but the program, or .ME scrubs them. What the **** good does the backed up file do me if I can't get Mobil Me to recognize the comments and re-post them? This is my issue.
    Omran A: OK
Omran A: I am sorry I did not fully understand you
    Omran A: One moment please.
Omran A: I am sorry even though you are able to see the comments for a split second. You can not recover them from the domain file.
    Omran A: Just for clarification
Perry: Can we agree that this is a gigantic "cluster #@$*" and that this wonderful new opportunity presented us in the form of MobilMe has been very painful and expensive for many of your loyal customers?
Omran A: You see the comments with the domain file you backed up in iweb but can not see them once you published them to the internet, correct?
    Perry: correct.
Omran A: Do they disappear in iWeb ?
Perry: But the program or something tends to scrub them within a minute or so of the program starting up. They are there, in all the entries dating all the way back, and then they are not. They just disappear.
Omran A: I am sorry the domain is there but We can not recover the comments. I am sorry that you have had a bad experience with MobileMe. We have given our loyal customers a 90 day extension for your patience with us.
Perry: Do you or anyone there know of a resource that I can send the domain file to take it apart and retrieve the comments. Someone has to know how to burrow into the file and pull that stuff. Anybody there know of a resource?
    Omran A: Let me check
Omran A: I just checked with my supervisor and he checked the servers and said there is no way to recover your comments.
Omran A: My sincere apologies. I understand loosing comments that span for two years is very sad.
Omran A: If there was a way I would let you know.
Omran A: I am sorry that you experience with MobileMe has not been that great, you may leave a feedback and let us know what issues has frustrated you
    Omran A: MobileMe feedback
Omran A: Upper manager reads the feeback
    Omran A: Feedback
Perry: Thanks to you personally Omran for your efforts. I'll be saving and perhaps publishing this dialogue between us on the blog as a warning to others, along with a few choice words and pictures illustrating my newly formed opinion of MobilMe. Watch for it.
Omran A: If you select the blue close button and you will receive a survey.
Omran A: Please note that the survey reflects only me.
Omran A: I am sorry that I was not able to help you.
    Perry: NO worries. Thanks!
Omran A: If you create the blog can you change my name to something else
Omran A: It would be horrible to have people coming in and saying oh no it is you!
Perry: Why, you were awesome. It is iWeb and this new, rammed down our throats long before it should have been, MobilMe that is the problem, not you. You were a real peach.
    Omran A: Thank you Perry
Omran A: Thank you for chatting and I hope MobileMe services improve to meet your needs
Omran A: And have a great day
Perry: You can be certain that I do too! Thanks again!

Yeah, if your Domain won't fit on a CD or you don't have space to save it, at LEAST set up Backup to annoy you at regular intervals. Once you've clicked cancel a few times due to wanting to get something else done, perhaps it will begin to wear on your psyche and guilt you into going ahead and doing it!

  • Active Directory domain controller could not be contacted

    Hello
    Help please.
I am trying to add a new server (2008) to domain 'bridgelimited.local' - only one DC (2003) doing everything at the moment. The plan is to add the new server, then move everything over from the old machine, then retire/upgrade the old machine and use as a backup.
I am currently trying to dcpromo on the new machine but I get the following error:
The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate an Active Directory Domain Controller for domain bridgelimited.local:
The error was: "DNS name does not exist."
    (error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)
The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.bridgelimited.local
Common causes of this error include the following:
    - The DNS SRV records required to locate a AD DC for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server automatically when a AD DC is added to a domain. They are updated by the AD DC at set intervals. This computer is configured to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses:
    212.50.160.100
    196.168.16.2
    - One or more of the following zones do not include delegation to its child zone:
    bridgelimited.local
    local
    . (the root zone)
For information about correcting this problem, click Help.
192.168.16.2 is IP address for the DC.
Any help would be grately appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Richard

  • Problems Creating a Domain in VirtualBox

To Create a test environment to try out things like Group Policy and Windows MDOP in our work environment, I was charged with creating a set of VM's using virtualbox that would consist of 2 Clients and a Server. The server would fill the role of Domain Controller,
Group Policy Server Side (MDOP) and to test things like the new roaming profile replacement.
I am a desktop tech, having just begun self-educating on Group Policy Management and all these attempts at server management are self-taught. So, if there are any clear and foolish mistakes, please point them out as I will not be offended.
Since I am creating a separate Domain, I setup these VMs on the internal network that VBox offers, they can only communicate with each other (Internal Network: Default name: "intnet"). This worked just fine, all three could ping each other etc.
I installed a trial version of Server 2008 R2 to use as my DC and went about configuring it, I set a static IP and DNS settings.  Disabled IPv6 and setup IPv4 as follows
    Static IP:
    IP address: 169.254.254.3
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
    Default Gateway: 169.254.254.0
    Preferred DNS Server: 127.0.0.1 (I put in 169.254.254.3) but it auto-fills 127.0.0.1
I've been told by multiple people I either need, or need to not, have a default gateway sent. I've tried it both ways with the same result.
After that, I used DC Promo to create a forest and domain called testlab.local
This installed DNS and created a forward lookup zone of the same name.  (Sorry can't post screencaps yet)
    DNS
    >DC01
    >>Global Logs
    >>Forward Lookup Zones
    >>>Msdcs.testlab.local
    >>>testlab.local   - 2 Records show
    >>>>>>>>>>>>> (same as parent folder)      Start of Authority(SOA)     [3], dc01.testlab.local., hostmaster.testlab.local     static
    >>>>>>>>>>>>> (same as parent folder)     Name Server(NS                dc01.testlab.local.
Now I noticed that there is no "A" Host file. But I tried to join my first client to the domain with the following IP config
    Static IP:
    IP address: 169.254.254.8
    subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
    Default Gateway: Blank
    Preferred DNS: 169.254.254.3
And then tried to join the domain.
    Computer Name: image1
    Member of:
    Domain: testlab.local
    However I received:
An Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for the domain. "testlab.local" could not be contacted
Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly
    Details:
The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV)
resource record used to locate an Acitve Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for domain "testlab.local".
The error was "DNS name does not exist."
    (error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)
The query was for the SERV record for _ldap_tcp.dc._msdcs.testlab.local
common causes of this error include the following:
-The DNS SRV records required to locate a AD DC for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server automatically when a AD DC is added to a domain. They are updated by the AD DC at set intervals. This computer is configured
to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses:
    169.254.254.3
One or more of hte following zones do not include delegation to its child zone:
    testlab.local
    local
    (the root zone)
I tried adding a "A" host record with DC01 (the name of the DC) to the DNS records but it disappears after a few minutes. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I would greatly appreciate any help. I can provide more data if needed.

I have another developer with the same issues.
After another CLEAN install, with admin rights to the system he get's exactly the same issue!
Is there someone who can assist please.

  • SMS SRS Reporting Point - 7403 at regular time intervals

    Hi,
At regular time intervals I see a 7403 error message in the "SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT" component appearing in my ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 environment. SQL Server 2012 is used.
My reports are working fine and accessable via the Console and URL. This error 7403 appears twice a day. The srsrp.log states the following at the moment of the issue:
    STATMSG: ID=7403 SEV=E LEV=M SOURCE="SMS Server" COMP="SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT" SYS=servername SITE=XXX PID=8180 TID=6516 GMTDATE=Tue Aug 27 04:58:18.849 2013 ISTR0="servername" ISTR1="" ISTR2="" ISTR3=""
    ISTR4="" ISTR5="" ISTR6="" ISTR7="" ISTR8="" ISTR9="" NUMATTRS=0 SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT 8/27/2013 6:58:18 AM 6516 (0x1974)
Failures reported during periodic health check by the SRS Server servername. SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT 8/27/2013 6:58:18 AM 6516 (0x1974)
A few minutes before and after the health check is successful.
I found out that at the moment of my 7403 error, the SQL RS recycle process is started. The log file reportserverservice.log looks like:
06:55:58:: i INFO: Recycling the service from the default domain
The recycle time of SQL Reporting services is configured at 720 minutes, so each 12 hours.
Can someone tell me if this is normal and how I can avoid the 7403 error?
    Thanks.
    Greets!

Yes I know this is an old post, but I'm trying to clean them up.

  • Server 2012 Password issue on new domain

We recently setup a new domain controller running Server 2012 R2 standard 64 bit. All user profiles were setup in Active Directory. The default password we set users was Welcome1 and we chose all the defaults for the password policy. We set each account
to force the user to change their password when they first login.
The issue we see is that when a user logs in and tries to change their password, it will not let them change their password the way it should be. For example, the account "testuser" was set to Welcome1. When I tried to change it to
Atlanta@2 or Georgia8 or Nexeo+=7 or Kentucky9 it said "Unable to update the password. The value provided for the new password does not meet the length, complexity, or history requirements
    of the domain"
I then tried to change it to Welcome2 and it accepted it.
I then went on the server and reset it logged in as administrator and see no issues (I can change it to whatever I want). So the issue is on the user end. I also turned OFF complexity requirements.
I logged back into the account and tried to change the password to Kentucky7 and it worked. I then did a CTRL ALT DEL and tried to change it to Kentuky9 and it gave the same error.
I'm not sure what is going on. Maybe there are time intervals on how often a user is allowed to change their password in Server 2012? Any ideas as to what is going on?

You must set minimum password age.
    What is this:

  • Call a function at specific intervals

    Hi,
I need to call a function or page at specific intervals. Or I need a ping a page at specific intervals, to keep the session alive.
I found window.setInterval() works fine. Is there any such function in coldfusion?

put your function in a cfc and use cfschedule to call to that method.  Example :
    remoteCalls.cfc
    <cfcomponent>  <cffunction name="callMe" access="remote">     .. do stuff here ..  </cffunction></cfcomponent>
Setup a scheduled task in coldfusion to call your url every X minutes :
    http://www.domain.com/remoteCalls.cfc?method=callMe
If you have arguments, pass them in as url variables.

  • SLD Data Supplier User is locked at regular intervals

    Dear Sirs,
I have a Webdynpro application using two JCO connections to the backend to fetch data. One day it just stopped working. After some searching I found out that my SLD Data Supplier user was locked in the UME, due to too many failed logins.
When I unlocked this user everything worked again. Next morning when trying the application, the SLD Data supplier user was once more locked. If I lock it up it works, but it stops working again at fairly regular intervall (due to too many failed logins).
The time it stops seems to be 15 minutes over each hour; however sometimes it seems to work for more than an hour some times less. This makes me belive that there is some kind of regular job which mess it up.
Below is an extraction on what is going on in the logs around the time it stops working.
I know others have had these kinds of error messages in conjunction with XI, but did not find a solution of the forum with fits me.
Any hint on how I can solve the problem, or find out why the user gets locked is appriciated :=)

    Hi Jørgen,
This problem must be due to the user being entered with an incorrect password in one of your systems which accesses XI. I'm afraid the only way to find it is to go through all your systems' RFC destinations, transaction SLDAPICUST, and anywhere else the user info might be entered.
I would normally recommend creating a separate user for each system accessing XI, so that in cases like this it is far easier to narrow down the search.

    Thorsten

  • Change domain in number range

Hi, Do you know how to change the "number length domain" of a "number range object"?
We have a number range object using the domain "char7", it means 7 digits width, and we
need to extend to 9 digits. The field "number length domain" is now disabled in SNRO transaction.
    Thank you and best regards,
    José

Hi Brad Bohn, thanks for your response.
We need to keep intervals for "historical information" purpose.
The field "Subobject data element" has the name of the data
element "ZEACSCTRLSEQ" that we use to store an ID that
    groups intervals, for example:
    - ID: 000001
      Intervals:
      01     0000001     0999999
      02     1000000     1999999
      03     2000000     2999999
    - ID: 000002
      Intervals:
      01     0000001     0000200
      02     0000201     0000500
      03     0000501     0001000
    - ...and so on...
So we are looking for a process to change the width of
the "Number Range Object" and its "Intervals" without
    deleting the intervals.
    ¿How could you do that?
    Best regards,
    José

  • OS X Server on AD Domain

I recently set up a Mac mini Server, and successfully bound it to our Active Directory Windows 2003 Server, and have been using it without issue for a week or so. Then yesterday afternoon it refused to allow clients to log in. I ended up unbinding it from the AD server then rebinding it, and everything looked ok, but then this morning it won't allow SMB clients to connect. Looking through the samba log, there were no entries from the time the server went live until yesterday. Then it shows the following:

Prior to the "Got SIGTERM: going down..." line, it showed the current master browser as MAIN-SERVER as it should, but after that it became "UNKNOWN" until I unbound it from the domain then re-bound it. But then at 16:37:32 we got the "Fatal error - cannot find my workgroup WORKGROUP", which repeats over and over in the log since that time. And since that time, Mac users have been able to log in with no issues, but Windows users are not. The Mac server isn't even visible to any Windows machines when browsing through the network.
Has anybody dealt with this before and/or know how I can resolve the problem?
    Thanks!

Just an update on this issue: After posting yesterday I un-bound (un-binded?) the OS X server from the AD server, then reestablished the binding, and it has been working ok since then. When that happened, I got the following entry in the Samba log on the server:
    (2011/03/08 12:15:25, 0, pid=59) /SourceCache/samba/samba-235.5/samba/source/nmbd/nmbdworkgroupdb.c:dumpworkgroups(282)
    dump_workgroups()
    dump workgroup on subnet 10.2.41.22: netmask= 255.255.255.0:
    CIMARRONLABEL(1) current master browser = MAIN-SERVER
MACSERVER 40819b03 (Mac OS X Server)
    MAIN-SERVER 4084126b ()
... and since then eight more just like it have come up at seemingly random intervals; a second one at 2011/03/08 12:15:25
    2011/03/08 14:56:28
    2011/03/08 14:56:28

    2011/03/09 07:24:29
    2011/03/09 07:24:29
I guess that worries me a bit because the problems started when an entry similar to that popped up on Monday. I'm still looking for clues as to what that "dump_workgroups" business is about; if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.
    Thanks!

  • Windows 8.1 joining domain

Fails to join domain with error:
Note: This information is intended for a network administrator.  If you are not your network's administrator, notify the administrator that you received this information, which has been recorded in the file C:\WINDOWS\debug\dcdiag.txt.
The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate an Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for domain "hali88.org":
The error was: "DNS name does not exist."
    (error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)
The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.hali88.org
Common causes of this error include the following:
    - The DNS SRV records required to locate a AD DC for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server automatically when a AD DC is added to a domain. They are updated by the AD DC at set intervals. This computer is configured
to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses:
    10.10.10.1
    - One or more of the following zones do not include delegation to its child zone:
    hali88.org
    org
    . (the root zone
Joining domain with Windows 7 64bit works fine.

  • Search help is domain or dataelement

    plz tellme

    Hi,
The values of a domain will determine the values of the Search help. In the Se11 transaction key in a domain and select the display function. Go to the Values tab and it will specify a Value table / Intervals / Single values for a Domain.  But definitly there is a restriction on the no. of single values / Intervals that can be specified.
If you programatically need the values of a domain use the Function module STF4_GET_DOMAIN_VALUE_TEXT. Pls check my reply in the following thread:
    date problem
Hope it clears your doubt well. Reward points if helpful.

  • I need help regarding measurement of "time domain parameters of Heart rate variability" using labview.

I need help regarding measurement of "time domain parameters of Heart rate variability" using labview.
I am using Labview 8 ... I  need to develop a software to accquire the ECG data (simulated enironment ) and compute the time domain parameters of Heart rate variability like "SDNN, SDANN...etc". Can some 1 plllzzzz help me out.Plzz help me if u can.Thanx in advance.

    Hi Andy,
Thanx for responding.  The input is from a text file. SDNN, SDANN,etc are  the timedomain parameters of heart rate variability.
SDNN: the standard deviation of the NN or RR interval  i.e. the square root of variance.
SDANN:the standard deviation of the averageNN interval calculated over short periods, usually 5 min, which is an estimate of the changes in heart rate due tocycles longer than 5 min
SDNN index, the meanof the 5-min standard deviation of the NN intervalcalculated over 24 h,
RMSSD: the square root ofthe mean squared differences of successive NN intervals
NN50: the number of interval differences of successiveNN intervals greater than 50 ms, and
pNN50 the proportionderived by dividing NN50 by the total numberof NN intervals.
The problem is dat I am a fresher to the world of Labview. I have jus recently started working on it. Can u please suggest me some some idea as soon as possible.
As i said  I have the ECG data in the form of text files..I need to create sort of GUI to calculate the time domain parmeters....I need help urgently. Plzzz help me if u can. If u have and .vi example to calculate the RR interval plzz send it to me ASAP.
    Thanku

  • Unable to join virtual machines to domain controller

    Hello all
I am studying for MCSE 2012 R2 and have decided to move from VMware Esxi 5.5 to Hyper-V in Server 2012R2.
I built the host (Server 2012r2) and so far 3 VMs (all are Server 2012R2 VMs) . I promoted one of the VMs to a Domain controller and things appear to have installed with no issue. This is what I have done so far:
Added Static IP addresses for all VMs
Configured each VM's DNS setting to use the DC
When I try to join one of the virtual servers to the domain controller this is what I get.

    Hi Phil,
I have noticed that the domain is wolfpack.local but  two VMs has another DNS suffix "home.network" .
Please remove it and join it to domain again .
