Interview style forms

Does Acrobat have any kind of plug-ins to create an interview style form similar to the kind Turbo Tax offers?
Question 2: is there any way in Acrobat to create forms so some fields appear (or not) depending on an answer inputted in a specific field?
Thanks for any help you can provide. I oversee over 400 forms and would love to use either or both of the above to provide better forms.

Hi Nancy,
I'm work at the company George mentions above (WindJack Solutions) that developed
AcroDialogs. If you visit our AcroDialog product page at that link, we have a downloadable PDF Demo of an interview type form-filling solution for PDFs using custom dialogs called "Form Wizard Example." Very similar to how TurboTax and other complex forms work by having the user answer questions in panels that then insert the data into the appropriate fields in the form.
Adobe also has a product in the LiveCycle product line called "Form Guides." If you have Acrobat Professional 8 it is part of the LiveCycle Designer program that comes in the box with Acrobat. The only caveat is that while you can create the form guides in LiveCycle Designer for your form, you must purchase a LiveCycle Server product to deploy them. I'm not sure of the cost, but that line of servers is typically in the many thousands of dollars. You'll need to contact an Adobe sales person for pricing.
Hope this helps,

  • ABAP style FORM..ENDFORM in BSP ...?

    Hi, guys!
    I'm rather new to BSP world. Could someone help me with the following question:
    Is it possible to use ABAP style
    =====================
    FORM abc
         USING abc1
         CHANGING abc2.
    ENDFORM.
    =====================
    in BSP and accordingly to call it via PERFORM let's say in Layout of BSP?
    Or maybe there is something instead of this?
    Thanks in advance,
    --- Kaspars
    P.S. In particular case I'm not using MVC format (just htmlb, abap and javascript in layout; and abap in OnInitialization event handler).

    look at the link reg using subroutine in BSP:
    Re: Subroutines in BSP ??????
    <i>Is it "suggested" or is it mandatory to use class/methods</i>
    Its not mandatory to use class/method. But BSP is developed based on class/methods, so you cant avoid using class & methods..

  • Serial # in Tablour Style form

    I want to show serial # in my tablor style form
    Regards

    Shahzaib,
    In the item's property page, set the property Calculation Mode as Formula, and the Formula property as *:SYSTEM.TRIGGER_RECORD*. Then it will be OK.

  • Can't style forms with CSS in DWCS6 / Need to add WYSIWYG menu

    Hello everyone,
    i put both my "problems" in a single topic:
    1) I was trying to add some style to my pages with forms in them, but it seems it doesn't work so well.... i explain: i create a php page, i insert a form with text fields (username and password, for example) and the "login" button. The form ID is "LogForm". I create a CSS class, called ".FormCSS" and inside i put the rule "align text: right". I apply the rule to the form and all the text inside goes to the right. I try online (real server and local server, i tried both) but nothing happens, the elements of the form stay on the left. I tried to apply the rul to the ID of the form. Nothing.
    Probably i'm doing something wrong. Even with text and tables inside the form, i can't move/modify them, at all. In design view i see all the changes, online i can't (chrome and IE). What do i have to do?
    2) I'm creating a page to insert long text in a database, like when you post in a forum. I'd like to insert a sort of toolbar with the align options, style, and so on, like the WYSIWYG editors. Is it possibile? Is there a way to put a toolbar like that in DWCS6?
    Thanks

    #1 You're not styling the correct form selectors: form, fieldset, lable label, input, textarea...

  • Cursor Style, Forms Web Implementation 6.0

    I am using the Forms server 6.0 with static HTML to display
    forms over Intranet. The cursor styles through SET APPLICATION
    PROPERTY builtin does not seem to change the cursor in the
    browser. (Works fine when I test the form in Client/Server
    environment.) Tried it with both IE 4.0 and NetScape 4.5. I did
    not see in Developer 6.0 documentation that Cursor Style is not
    available in Web implementation.
    Has anyone used cursor styles successfully with Developer 6.0 in
    static Web Implementation?

  • How do I do side by side interview style video in FCPX?

    Are there any tutorials on how to do this?
    I have footage from two cameras.
    Ideally I want to switch between:
    - camera 1
    - camera 2
    - a split screen view of both.
    Thanks!
    - Jack

    It works just like any other Drop Zone effect.
    - Select the clip in the timeline, apply my effect to it.
    - In the Inspector, in the Video section, in the Effects block you'll see the effect.  You'll see a drop zone.
    - Click on it, and you'll be prompted with a two-up in the Viewer.
    - Just click in the Browser or Timeline on the clip you want to add.
    - Then click the "Apply Clip" button.
    Tip; if you use the Sweep control, be very subtle with it for the most profound effect.  Sort of like you want the sweep effect without it being the center of attention, almost unnoticed.
    And I want to say here, that I NEVER thought of doing this with an edited Multiclip in a Timeline.  But, here you have it, works just like any other clip!  (Thanks to my buddies at Ripple Training, that's their Multiclip tutorial I'm using in the screen shot.)

    I'm just wondering what are everyone's ways how they style there forms to there designs instead of the business catalyst default style.
    I know where to find my stylesheets but I would love to find any info to make it an easy process or if someone could direct me to a tutorial for the quickest and easiest way to style forms with out breaking them.
    Thanks
    Luke

    Thanks for your help Liam.
    Also when I insert a form on a page it's fine but when I have a template assigned to that page I think the form trys to use the CSS from the template and it doesn't quite work.
    Not sure if you can see this http://webbasictest2.businesscatalyst.com/questionnaire.html but my buttons were only text before too.

    The order that fields appear in the request object is somewhat arbitrary. If you want to control the order, then you can reference each field by name rather than iterating through the collection. Or, you can try this method:

  • How to print BAR code in SMART Form

    Hi All,
    I have the requirement to print BAR CODE in Smartforms.
    For this, I create a character format with Bar code in style forms and create a text element in Smart form and associate bar code character format with this text element.
    Now when I look the print preview for the data, then it shows me data in bar code format but not in right format i.e. its shows me all the similar block in bar code.
    If you look the bar code in SAP script, its always show you bar code with similar block, but in SMART FORM it will show you exact bar code; as in SAP Script, bar code is generated at printer end and in SMARTFORM bar code is generated as graphic in SAP and then sent to printer for print.
    PLease let me know, why in SMARTFORM its not showing BAR CODE in correct format in print preview.
    Thanks
    Piyush Mathur

    Hi,
    To Create a Bar code prefix:
    1) Go to T-code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
    2) Now when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
    Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
    The place where you are using the field value use like this
    <C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
    You will get the field value in the form of barcode.
    Which barcode printer are you using ? Can you download this file and see.
    http://www.servopack.de/Files/HB/ZPLcommands.pdf.
    It will give an idea about barcode commands.

    Detailed information about SAP Barcodes
    A barcode solution consists of the following:
    - a barcode printer
    - a barcode reader
    - a mobile data collection application/program
    A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
    in machine readable format.
    There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
    You can print barcodes from SAP by modifying an existing output form.
    Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.
    Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.
    reward if useful

  • Form Alignment issue in table: Custom submit button

    Yesterday as I was putting together a "check availability"
    form within a horizontal table, I ran into difficulties getting the
    form to vertically align in the middle, it kept aligning to the
    top. I was able to correct the problem using the following CSS:
    <style>
    form {
    display:inline;
    </style>
    Now this morning I was switching the generic "submit" button
    with a custom gif button using this code within the form:
    <input type="image" name="submit" src="image.jpg"
    width="110" height="20">
    This worked fine, but every part of the form is aligning to
    the middle correctly except the custom button which is sticking to
    the top. I'm completely lost on how to resolve this issue. If
    anyone has any information on how I can fix the button to align
    with the rest of the form I would greatly appreciate your help. I
    am a beginner at adjusting code.
    Thank you so very much!

    Hello Ram,

    The current forum is for developers. That's why I'd recommend asking non-programming questions in the
    Using SharePoint Designer, InfoPath and Other Customizations forum instead.

  • Error in form submit through netui:anchor tag onClick event

    Hello,
    I am working on a portal application. Below is my jsp code of a simple search screen. The search parameter is customername.
    <netui:form action="searchCustomer" style="form" tagId="myForm">
    <netui:textBox dataSource="{actionForm.customerName}"></netui:textBox>
    <netui:anchor onClick="sayHello(); return false;" styleClass="button" action="searchCustomer" formSubmit="true"> Search</netui:anchor>
    </netui:form>
    I have an onClick event as I want to implement some customer logic on click of the anchor tag.
    function sayHello(){
    // customer implementation here
    document.forms[getNetuiTagName("myForm",this)].method="POST";
    document.forms[getNetuiTagName("myForm",this)].action="/searchCustomer.do";
    document.forms[getNetuiTagName("myForm",this)].submit();
    In the searchCustomer method of the controller, the form has zero parameters. The customerName has null value.
    Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong here.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Manju

    I also want to add a confirm() dialog before submitting. However, setting the onClick handler overrides the one generated when formSubmit="true". I worked around this by calling the generated function directly:
    <... onClick="if (confirm('[msg]')) { anchor_submit_form(getNetuiTagName('[formName]'), this.href) } return false;">
    Where [msg] is the message to display and [formName] is the name of the form containing the anchor.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • Forms 6i window scrollbar focus (flickback)

    i have a requirement to make a tall/high dialog style form that can be displayed on different screen resolutions. A scrollbar needs to be used to enable users of lower resolution screens to scroll from the top of the canvas to the bottom (<b>without key press type navigation</b>). The problem is focus flicks back to the last item that had the cursor in it.
    For example:
    in forms 6i (at least) if you create a content canvas that is larger than is able to be displayed on the screen then assign it to a window that has a vertical and/or horizontal (so you can scroll down the oversized canvas) and can be maxmized. Place a text item at the top and a button at the bottom of the canvas. run the form, focus/cursor goes to text item at the top. maximize the window. use the scrollbar to view the button at the bottom....as soon as the mouse leaves the scrollbar and enters the canvas focus flicks back to that part of the canvas containing the text item which has the cursor in it. This makes it impossible to ever get to that button without a key-next-item or other navigational function.
    i have tried many different settings including using a stacked canvas with its own scrollbar and the same thing happens.
    why on earth is this? is there some way to get around this problem - i want the focus to remain in that part of the canvas that the scrollbar was used to view.
    any assistance would be appreciated.
    regards
    ps: i have not been able to locate any related discussions on this point.

    i have found a workaround, albeit not enormously satisfactory.
    The MDI window scrollbar does not seem to have this flick back problem, just forms defined canvas and form window scroll bars (at least) do. Therefore, so as long as the over-high (or over-wide) form is in a window that is Document Style (meaning it is affected by the MDIs scrollbar - unlike DIALOG style windows) then an overlarge "dialog style" called form can be scrolled down via the MDI scroll bar.
