Introducing InCopy in the work place - proposal editing/additions

I have been using InDesign for a few years but I am brand new to InCopy. It seems like a fairly simple application but I need to learn how to use it quickly to train our staff on it soon. We are going to be doing our company proposals in ID and use IC to have others put thier info/edits in there. Do you have to assign sections in ID to a particular person to edit in IC or can they view the entire ID proposal in IC and pick and add thier portions.

Or, to cut to the chase, no you do not have to assign a particular section to each editor. He/they can open the full ID file and work on whatever sections they need to.

Setting the working place

I don't understand what I do wrong, when the working place changes again and again, so I hope that someone can help me.
My actual wp looks like the inserted picture, and this is almost what I want, but I also want a preview in the right side + its metadata beneath, but I have tried and tried, so please....

How do I update event movie quality without disrupting the work in my edited project.

I have a pretty unique problem. I have just over 2 hours of 1080p footage for a music video. I imported it into iMovie, and started working. After a few hours I realized that the setting of "Automatically resize imported video as 960x540" was selected.
I'd like to keep the work in the project, but update the imported video that was 960x540 to it's full 1080p. I understand this would mean replacing all the footage in the event with the full HD video, but would the project be disrupted if this is done?

In theory this might work, but I have never tried it.
I would recommend that you do one of the following ideas.
1) Test it in a small event and a small project.
Or
2) Make a copy of your current Event folder and store it someplace safe. Then move everything from the current Event folder into the trash (Clips, cache folders, thumbnails folders, everything). Then empty the trash. Then reimport your video to this same folder. If it does not work, replace this new folder with your copy.
Please let us know how it goes.

I am having some unexpected results in the large product page and I can't find the code to correct it.
I have a large space below the up/cross sell images I have added....I don't know where to find the code to get rid of the extra space.
It should be flush as the (tag_pagecontent) box should be connecting with the footer....

It all depends on what the site is, how it is created and what the html markup is, not just the CSS. If you provide a link people can help identify it for you.
modulestylesheets could be a CSS issue in there but if the site uses a different stylesheet it could be something else. It could be html error... Lots of things.

Work place required to execute the work

Hi, can we able to map the work place required to execute certain work in sap? we want to calculate the cost of the product by multiplying the area with the standard rate of that area. please suggest.

Yes, we can certainly map the work place required to execute certain work in sap.
This workplace is nothing but it is Workcenter. Use CR01 t.code to create Work center in SAP.
Yes, we also calculate the cost of the product by multiplying the area with the standard rate of that area.
Since area is critical to business scenario, you can area as one of standard parameter in Standard Value key. Can make an activity type for this and maintain the rates in KP26. In that way, you can calculate the cost also.

IW41: automatic update of activity type when changing the work center?

Hello colleagues,
when doing a time confirmation with IW41, we have following problem:
In the PM order the operations are assigned to a neutral executing work center, as it not known which individual technician is completing the operation later on.
Now when the individual technician is entering the time confirmation with IW41, system is proposing the work center indicated in the operation from the PM order, then technician is overwriting the work center proposal with his own individual work center ID (and pressing Enter), but the activity type is not getting updated automatically. So the technician must jump to field "activity type" and choose the correct activity type.
Is there any solution (hopefully with user exits!) to have the field "activity type" automatically updated with the one indicated in the work center, which was entered manually?

yes, as usual all PM work centers have only 1 activity type assigned in the costing tab.
We also checked the settings of the activity type (KL03), but we just found one difference: the price indicator was set on 3 "Determined manually" - we've changed to 1 "Plan price, automatically based on activity" (..same setting as for the act. type of the work center with working update of act.type).
We tested already all possible constellations and scenarios, but we have not found any good reason for the behaviour.

Some general comments...
Regarding:

There is no transition choice for random transitions across the Premiere Elements 12 workspace Timeline. But, the Elements Organizer 12/Create Menu/Slideshow and its Slideshow Editor does have that random transition choice. So, one possibilitity would be to create your slideshow in Elements Organizer 12 Slideshow Editor and then move the slideshow into Premiere Elements with the Output of Edit with Premiere Elements Editor command.
Pending more details of the slideshow you are creating, I think that you would get your best photo quality and overall results staying with Premiere Elements 12 workspace (1080p) project and the transitions randomized manually.
perhaps applying the default to all (all at the same time),
using Timeline Menu/Apply Default Transition,
and then replacing transitions randomly for the random transition look).
Please let us know if any of that worked for you.

Is there a way by which I can preserve my work done on DV PAL and switch it preserving its proportions, scale and orientation, but on a HD project sequence?? Appreciate your help and advice..

Yes. A couple of ways that might work.
First Way
What you need to do is load one of your hd clips in the viewer and edit into a new HD sequence. Does it display correctionly?
OK, select the clip in the hd timeline and copy (command-c). Now go to the HD sequence with the material that's distorted. Select all (command-a) and paste attributes (option-v) and choose basic motion and distort. That should maek things work. What won't work is anything that you've adjusted as far as basic motion or distort in your PAL sequence. That I'm pretty sure you'll have to redo.
Second Way.
Choose your original PAL sequence and do a Media Manage changing the sequence preset to the appropriate HD paramenters with the media offline. You then should be able to reconnect these clips with your original HD media.

You can't merge Apple IDs. You also can't cancel (delete) and existing ID, you can only choose to stop using it.
If your old ID was compromised and you can no longer access it, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance. How can I share the work iTunes with my home iTunes so I can work from home? Need to be able to share playlists and files for editing tracks.

I've just started working for a media company that provides the music for sporting events. They use iTunes to create playlists that I have to load into an IR machine with hot keys. I also have to edit tracks to create new stings and intros. As there is a 2.5 hour commute, I want to access the work iTunes library from my home MBP so I can work from home. When I'm at work I can share the work iTunes library, but when I'm back home I can't use it. Any ideas of how I could effectively Home Share over the internet with two seperate iTunes accounts?
The work iMac is running 10.7.5 and my MBP is 10.8.4

In that case, does anybody know of a program or workaround that will make this so?
