Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos export process extremely slow!
Hello,
I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos, and until recently, it’s been working smoothly. The last few times I’ve tried to export, the process has been extremely slow—for example, yesterday the program told me it was going to take 22 hours to export a 527MB video.
My computer has an i7 processor and a decent video card (Radeon HD 7470) so I don’t think that’s the issue, but I can’t see it being the software since I had been successfully exporting videos until recently.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated—thanks!Yes

Adobe Premiere Pro Won't Export To Adobe Media Encoder?
I Work for a news company and we use Adobe for aeverything we need. But when we take a little break from doing videos while we where moving to a new office space, and suddenly we start again and It decided not to export to the Adobe Media Encoder. Usually it was a 5 second process and now it does not work at all. We have adobe premiere pro cs5.5 from the CC (We are currently not planning on upgrading to CS6 anytime soon.) We have no plugins for it and it works for everything else. When I use the Exporter it Exports in in too low of a quality for use. Help? If you need I work at better-community-news.com, Sooolutions (Seprate buisness same owner.) Glad Studios, (also same owner...all the places I work are the same guy), X.L.N.T Marketing and thats about it. Its a team of 3 guys and we would appricate any help! Thanks!

thanks nobody because nobody helped me solve this delima
You do know that this is a user to user forum, not an official Adobe support site?
Which means that there is NOT a full time group of people just waiting to answer questions
Don't you think that complaining about nobody answering in less than 2 hours is a little unreasonable? -
Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 install from Adobe Website. Installation problems.
Hello everyone.
I recently purchased a new computer. And i've been trying to get all my software onto the new computer. when the time came to install Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 I was informed that the website for activation of the product was down. After talking about the issue with an adobe chat agent I was informed that all the CS2 software was in the same boat, and that a dedicated web page provided versions of the software which did not require activation. (exclusively for people who owned the older software of course.) The site is here:
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=cs2_downloads
I was told to use the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 to replace my version 1.5 and that I could use the provided serial numbers.
After downloading the software I discovered that it could not install. It accepted the serial number from the Adobe Site, but it ran into this error message:
Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Installer Information
Error 1311.Source File not found: C:\Users\"myname"\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp 1_PPRO_2.0_Ret-NH_UE (4).zip\Premiere Pro 2.0\Adobe Premiere Pro\Data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
Pressing Retry only reloaded the error message.
I dare not try to install my version of Adobe Premiere 1.5 again because I dont want it to crash and stall again. (that is what happened when I tried to instal my older software.)
If anyone knows how I can get my software up and running I would appreciate it. You could save me from having to go and buy the new Adobe Premiere which would cost me a tremendous amount of money. Thank you for you consideration.
Just so you know. I also owned Adobe Photoshop CS2. And the site worked for getting that software working. I get the annoying register you product message (when it loads) but other than that it appears to be working. I have no idea how to get the Adobe Premiere 2.0 to work. ("There is no Adobe Premiere 1.5 download on the site.)I read your suggestion. I was afraid you might say something like that. I have a very expensive workstation computer. I can't risk messing with the drivers when they are all functioning properly. Its the Adobe Premiere that isn't functioning correctly. After talking with you, it has become readily clear that It might be worth it for me to invest in the new software. The older programs sometimes aren't functional in new hardware. I am quite sure that if there was a way to make it work, it would have been more readily apparent. based off everything I know now, I'd rather wait a little and get exactly what I need, than to rely on outdated and non-functional software.
Thanks for helping me. Almost saved a bundle of money. I know more about installing programs though. I should have known to un-zip/extract those files before I tried to install the program. So all is not lost. I learned a thing or two.
Thanks for the help. -
Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Adjustment Layers (CS6)
This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/help-tutorials-adjustment-layers.html
Why the circle effect does not work while using the new adjustment layer in Premiere Pro CS6? I have tried to animate circle with its changing radius. Everything is working fine on the screen but the effect itself, it takes the first value and stays with it even if the circle radius value changes up and down. I have placed a circle at the specified coordinates on the adjustment layer and changed its radius every three second several times. The adjustment layer is placed no the video track two above the still image of a map sitting on the main video track.

Re: Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Trimming clips (CS6)
How do we access just the P Pro CS6 Help Reference instead of all this community content?
Regarding changes to Help, please read this document first: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/community-help.html
[Jeff Sengstack]
How do we access just the P Pro CS6 Help Reference instead of all this community content? When will Help arrive?
Jeff, this is the Help reference. It arrived the moment we shipped CS6. There is tons of new writing here for the CS6 trimming features here on this page. The documentation covers all the new features. I also have some tutorials plugged in. What is your specific complaint about the page for trimming in CS6? If there is a problem with the content being incorrect, or missing info, I can fix it. I cannot fix the way that the new Help system is designed, however, I can provide feedback to my superiors.
Also, we've been plugging in supporting community content into Help along with reference content for quite some time so that should be no surprise. We hope it is a help, rather than a hindrance. These articles and tutorials are from authors I worked with during prerelease, so tutorials are vetted, and the content is valid.
[Jim Simon]
Can't yet.
You can access the entire Help system for Premiere Pro here: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/topics.html or just press F1. This page (called the "Topics Page"), although different in appearance, has very similar chapter topics that were found in the CS5/CS5.5 Help table of contents.
The only thing you cannot yet do is download the entire Help system as a PDF. That feature is coming next month: http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/x-productkb/global/cs6-help-pdf-available-june.html
[shooternz]
I am kind of staggered that Adobe launched and released without Help Files for these CS6 products. Particularly in the case of SpeedGrade where I needed most Help. New and unfamiliar applications need Help Files for Users to get up to speed! Adobe are now relying on the cool Tutorial Videos (which have great value) but are hopeless in terms of such basics as "Setting Up" and trouble shooting. "RTFM"...What FM? I have put SpeedGrade on the backburner because of this. (I simply can not resolve some set up issues due to lack of available goto info.) May not get back to it for sometime actually.
That's not true, shooternz. Help files are available for every Adobe product. Just press F1. For Premiere Pro, the list of topics (table of contents) is here: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/topics.html Keep in mind that this is a brand new Help system, and it took extra effort to complete the content and make sure that the system functioned properly. If there are any problems with the system, please let me know. For example, search needs to be improved and that is something we know about and are working on.
SpeedGrade Help is sparse because we just got the product 6 months ago. Given our time constraints, there simply was not enough time to develop a full Help system. On behalf of Adobe, I apologize for not being able to provide full documentation for SpeedGrade. I assure you, though, that a full set of Help documentation for SpeedGrade will be available later this year. In the mean time, if you have questions about SpeedGrade, check out the user-to-user forum here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/speedgrade
[Jeff Sengstack]
The issue is not how to access Help (pressing F1), it's how to access the old Help reference. The new Help system is community-oriented and does not include access to the old Help reference file.
Do you mean you want the CS5/CS5.5 Help without the CS6 content? It's available here on PDF: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/archive.html
The "new community-oriented" Help is not new. We've been adding community content along with the reference content for some time now. If you mean to say the Help is only created by the community, that is totally incorrect. I am the writer for Premiere Pro, I include all the details of the new features, and I cull content to support the writing.
If one noodles around in community help, one will find bits and pieces of the old Help reference but no single source.
The previous Help content is included verbatim into current Help. It just has CS6 content added to it. It also "looks different" and is more search based. Again, search the PDF if you need to see the CS5/CS5.5 Help without CS6 content.
That is unfortunate, because Community Help is a cobbled-together, clumsy means to find solutions. Wheras, when using the old Help reference, it was a lot easier to quickly track down answers to basic questions.
I would really like to pinpoint what you are missing from CS5/CS5.5 Help. Why is it harder now to find what you need? The main differences I see is that there are no "next page" buttons, or hierarchy links. Is this what is bothering you? By the way, you can return to the topics page by clicking "Adobe Premere Pro Help" in the upper left of the page.
[Wodehouse]
I thought something had gone wrong with Master Collection installation because not a single product has any HELP guide!!!!
Help systems are no longer managed by the Community Help Client and are now handled by the Adobe Help Manager. There may be edge cases where Help might not appear in previous systems. Check the Adobe Help Manager and see if you can have access to the Help that you want. More on the Adobe Help Manager in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1000134 -
Adobe Premiere Pro crashes on video preview
Hello,
I was recently working on a project and had Premiere Pro opened, then I had to update my video card drivers, because I had all sort of visual glitches in my games, occasionally when watching movies and the drivers were completely crashing every now and then. At some point during the update my screen went all azure-colored and my computer was completely non-responsive, so I had to restart it, after some waiting. After which the drivers appear to have been installed correctly but when I tried to start Premiere it crashed after loading my project. After a reinstall the same thing kept on occurring, it turned out premiere can start by itself with no problems and even import video files, but the moment I put the video file on the preview window, either by dragging it or by putting it in the timeline, Premiere crashes.
My stupid video card is "SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 270X 2G G5", like I said I updated the drivers, because it was causing problems, it is still uncertain if the update fixed those issues, but now I have a problem with Premiere, which was working fine before that.
I also cleared the media caches, no effect. The crash occurs with any video file, not just with my last project.
Any ideas? Will do, however in the meantime I found out Premiere works fine if in a new project I set the rendering to be only software, without the GPU, also in all cases audio import, preview and playback are unaffected.
I was sort of hoping I could play games AND rend video, what are the chances of that? -
Adobe premiere pro cs5.5 video gets imported with 30 secs of audio HELP!!!
i import video file into the time line and the audio gets cut off i have tied to clear the cache and the scratch files and i have reinstalled the program 4 times each time i woudl clear my registry and i would restart everything the only thing i have done installed a new OS over it!!!

What is a CODEC... a Primer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811
What CODEC is INSIDE that file? http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... a screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing
For PC http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ or http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
http://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/2011/02/red-yellow-and-green-render-bars.html
If you have a red line over the timeline after importing a video and before adding any effects... your project is wrong for your video... read above about codecs
Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

Color on exported video on Adobe Premiere Pro Is a bit off from the original source video
I have both Cyberlink powerdirector 10.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro C6
I noticed that adobe premere cs6. when exporting the video.. colors are a little off.. never matching the same tones as the original
source
i took a screenshot so you can see what i mean.. Notice Adobe is a a little mor orange. is there a way to fix this? Cyberlink powedirector always matches the source color when you export it. except Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6
i have windows 7 64 bit (Nvidia GeForce GTX 670MThanks for answering. I ddi notice different media players show colors different. But on the screenshot i just showed you.. all 3 are from the same media player.
For some reason everytime i export a video from Adobe premiere pro the color is never the same as the source on media player. I tried it on 4 different videos. Other software programs like cyberlink power director export the video with no color change.
1)The original source from the picture is a mpeg-4 (avc)
2)i always use wmv codec to encode all videos. So the shot from Premiere Pro was using WMV codec. and the other shot (cyberlink powerdirector) was also wmv to encde.
3) I even tried to see if maybe i used a different video format to encode it would fix the slight color change. like h264 and mov.. but nope still same issue
4) I did what you told me to show the source and exported video on Adobe Premiere and really weird. the exporterd video from Adobe Premiere now shows the exact color as the source.. but the exported video from Cyberlinkpowerdirector shows the color a bit different.

I don't have any links, but I remember a past discussion where the Adobe CEO said they would be going to an annual release cycle... with a .5 (paid) upgrade between the major version upgrades
If that is still true, that means that what will come out this year will be CS6.5 -
I am trying to export an AE CC comp into a Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) video project. I can not drage it from AE to Premier Pro. Is there a problem with the dynamic link between these two applications?
Dynamic Link only works between After Effects and Premiere Pro if the applications are of the same version---i.e., both CC 2014 versions.

Motion JPEG AVI codec unsupported by Adobe Premiere Pro CS4?
Hello everyone,
First of all I must say English isn't my native language. Forgive me if I make any spelling mistakes or if I write inpolitely, it's not on intention.
I have a couple of videos made with a camera. The videos have an .avi extension and have a Motion JPEG codec. I can watch them on my computer just fine with both Windows Media Player as Winamp or Quicktime. However, when I try to use them in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, the videos are stuck after a few frames (half a second), even though the sound continues fine. I'm completely sure this is Adobe Premiere Pro's problem, as they DO work fine in Adobe After Effects CS4. I've tried converting the videos to another codec, but no matter what settings I use there's always much quality loss.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem in Premiere? I have read the following document: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/166/tn_16612.html but I don't understand it at all, I'm not used to working with the Propery Inspector or Lingo. If anyone could explain this document to me that would be fine too.
Thank you in advance,
Bib-lost25Very well, I installed it and it seems to be working great, thanks a lot. Just a few more questions.
After 60 days, will the codec stop functioning? Will I have to download another one or buy it?
And, when editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro, there is a strange white blob in the upper right corner of my video and I can't get rid of it. It's not nice to have these on top of your videos. Can I get rid of it?
That's about it. If you can answer these two questions you'll get your 'correct answer' .
Thank you,
Bib-lost25 -
Adobe premiere pro cs5 hangs at start up
Hi everyone
I have a question. Upon starting adobe premiere pro cs5 64 it hangs at startup. Can any one suggest a solution.
thanks you!!!I have the same issue. Hangs at the splash at "Loading Importer Quicktime Bundle". Last update today 7/3/2011 (ver. 5.0.4).
