  • Error 1612 when uninstalling LabVIEW 2009

    Hello,
I'm trying to uninstall LabVIEW 2009 from an Acer tablet running Windows 7.  Whenever I attempt to uninstall it though, I receive error 1612.  Also, I'm not doing any weird methods of uninstalling; I'm following what the NI website says to do!  When looking at previous topics that discussed this issue, none really seemed to come to a clear solution and I'm not sure yet if using a 3rd party program is the way to go.  Have any new solutions to this problem appeared?  I need to uninstall LabVIEW 2009 so I can install the 2014 version on it.  That way I can move a program that I wrote on my personal laptop to my lab's tablet.
    Any help is much appreciated!
    Amy

You don't need to uninstall 2009 to install 2014.  That said, it sounds like something is corrupt.  As counter-intuitive as it may sound, you might try installing 2009 from the command prompt using the command:  setup.exe /reinstall
That will force the installer to overwrite registry entries and the such.  After that's complete, you should be able to uninstall.

  • Error 1603 during uninstall

    Hello,
During install of LabVIEW 2013 somehow I corrupted my istallation of the LabVIEW development system. (Might have been becasue I installed 64-bit ahead of 32-bit??) Anyhow, decided to uninstall everything. Unfortunately I cannot uninstall some of the share components there are 11 parts of the uninstall which generate error 1603:
    1.NI-SCOPE Run-Time 3.9.4 (64-bit)
    2. NI-RFSG Run-Time 1.8.5 (64-bit)
    3. NI-HSDIO 64bit Driver 1.8.3
    4. NI-FGEN Run-Time 2.9.1 (64-bit)
    5. NI-DMM 64bit Driver 3.0.6
    6. NI-DIO 64bit Driver 1.8.1
    7. NI-DCPower 64bit Driver 1.6.4
    8. NI-RFSA 64 it Driver 2.5.5
    9. NI-VISA x64 support 5.2.0
    10. NI-Switch 64 bit Driver 4.5.5
    11. ... on the 11 part the unistall just ends.
Really stuck here - theLabVIEW 2013 installation fails and I cannot finish the uninstall. For info: I did install LabVIEW 2013 on a second computer and everything went fine so its appears to be an unique situation.

Ok. You can try the freeware version of Revo Uninstaller HERE It has worked for me in the past.  Make sure you create a restore point first as the software will remove remnants from the registry. Then when you reinstall, try running the installer as administrator.

  • PXI platform uninstall error 1612

When I was trying to interface a USB-6009 on labview 2012 (32bit), when I would go to the measurement and automation explorer, labview would crash and I would get an error, something to do with PXI, unfortunately I cannot remember and do to what I will explain it is not possible to recreate the error.
Instead of immediately posting on here I went ahead and tried to use the NI install/uninstall/repair utility to repair the system, to no avail. Then I decided to uninstall and reinstall everything, and I managed to uninstall everything but the PXI platform framework, (there are two applications related, I cannot see both). I get a "Error 1612 occurred. Would you like to continue this operation?" message, of course I select yes, and of course it doesn't do anything. So now I have a corrupted install, and I don't see any reason to try to reinstall with the corrupted PXI platform still installed, considering that is what was causing the problems in the first place. I have read elsewhere on this forum about a utility called "msiblast" (which sounds like a virus) that forces a clean uninstall, but cannot find any links to the download. I understand there are some risks involved, but at this point I need to get this to work.
On top of all this, I have a project due this Thursday that relies on labview, so I need to get this fixed ASAP. Since I am a student using a student labview license, I cannot contact technical support directly. My only other option at this point that I can think of is to format the primary drive and install everything from scratch.
Also, some info that may be useful. There have been several major changes to my machine since labview and the DAQ were functioning correctly, as follows:
Cloned primary partition from a platter HDD to a new SDD, and labview was installed on the primary partition.
Installed a basic pci-e SATA controller to manage the optical drive (needed due to the HDD array using all the mobo SATA ports).
Did an upgrade install from Windows 7 64bit to Windows 8 64bit.
I can see any and all of these causing the problem somehow, but I believe I was on the correct path to try to do a clean install of labview and all associated software, even though I was unsuccessful.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Error 1612 when installing Acrobat 9 update

I am running Acrobat 9.0 Pro on a Windows XP SP3 system. According to my control panel, the most recent update that has been installed is 9.3.2.
Every time I boot the system, I get a message saying that an Acrobat update is ready to be installed. When I attempt to install it, I receive an Error 1612 which says that the installation file is not present or not accessible.
I have attempted updating with the original installation disk in the DVD drive. Same result.
I have attempted uninstalling the 9.3.2 update or the basic program from the control panel. Same result. (In other words, I can't uninstall either of them, but get Error 1612 instead.)
I have attempted copying the .MSI file from the insallation disk to my hard drive (both the C:\ root directory and the Acrobat directory in C:\Program. Same result.
Has anyone else found a solution for this problem?

Don't you get a little dialog when update is being installed, where you can point to the original installation package?
If not, use original CD from which you installed your application and run installer - do not try to repair or uninstall using ARP or Help\Repair menu.
It seems like Windows Installer Service lost track of where the original installer file got cached on the system.
One copy is saved (renamed) under Windows\Installer folder.
Another copy is under application installation folder.
They both registered by Windows during initial installation, but occasionaly get corrupted.
    Good luck

I have installed the agent 10 or 15 times and one installation has failed, no error appeared during the installation but I am having inconsistent issues with my ethernet card not working here and there. We rebooted and can log into Novell client but the login prompt did not appear for ESM client or the icon was not in the systray. Everything seems to work, besides at times (a couple times today) it terminates his ethernet card/connection. I would re-image his computer but he has several applications and it would take several hours, so I am hoping someone has an idea to fix this issue. So I was trying to figure out why he did not get the prompt to login and why it's not in the systray and it appears to not have completed the install? I checked the add/remove programs, its not listed within their, I also checked the registry and found nothing for endpoint within their, but the files are within c:\program files\novell\zenworks endpoint security.
I have also tried uninstalling it but that fails due to it "not being installed", and it will not reinstall over itself either.
I did notice that stuninstdrv.exe is running in task manager. Any help would be great...

If you are searching the registry, check for the "Senforce" string. It should be at HKLM\Software\Senforce
Try running the install program for the ZSC with the following command line:
    setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1"
If you've specified an uninstall password, try this one instead:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1 STUIP=password"" (please note the double quote at the end)
Let me know if that helped you.

  • Error message during install

Anyone have a clue what to do?  Keep receiving error message during install.  Have disable firewall, no help.  Here is the error message:
    Error Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32".version="8.0.50727.4053".publicKeyToken="1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="amd64".
    HRESULT:0x8007054f
I uninstalled because Itunes would not upgrade.  Now I can't install.  I was able to install an older version, but couldn't access my music because it was an older version, so I uninstalled that and now have nothing.  I would appreciate any help.
    Thank you.

Glad to read that renaming trick helped to get iTunes installed for you. Your thread here is fine for more questions.
Search your hard drive for your music - it should still be there, but perhaps this fresh install of iTunes just isn't seeing it.
    Find music: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1408
You absolutely do NOT want to sync your iPhone with an empty iTunes library. It will erase everything. Apple only gives you one download and you need to make backups. I hope it is still on your PC! But at least you have it on your iPhone.
I don't think you synced your iPhone with your father's iTunes, or his music would be on it. Have a look in a folder named Previous iTunes Libraries. There might be an iTunes database ITL file in there that you can use.
They have names like "iTunes Library 2009-04-06.itl" which would be from April 6th, 2009.
Press and hold the shift key while starting iTunes, and when prompted, choose the most recent previous library. Does it show most of your music, and can you play some songs in iTunes OK?

  • I can't install iTunes on Windows 7. "An error occurred during installation of assembly"

I recently purchased an iPhone 4s. This product requires me to insall iTunes on my pc, which runs Windows 7 64bit. However, when installing iTunes I keep recieving the same error message-- An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version='8.0.50727.4053',publicKey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b". ProcessorArchitecture="amd64"      HRESULT: 0x800736B3
I've already looked over many previous forum posts and haven't been able to find a suitable solution to this yet. I had iTunes on my computer previously but deleted it after I had freezing trouble. I have ensured that all old files have been removed. Bonjour gave me some trouble but I think I have dealt with that now. Also, I have been experiencing some failures with windows update-- service pack 1 for windows seven and some security updates mostly-- which I am yet to solve. I really have no idea what to do as I would like to run my iPhone on the latest iOS. If anybody could help me I would be forever grateful.
    Thanks, heattr.

I've been having the same issues for the past year and a half. I've spent 6-8months trying to figure it out. Went to various Itunes stores with pictures on my Iphone per each step so I could relay all information that I'd come across and the personnel were less than helpful, after conversations that would sometimes last an hour between myself, employees and managers they always came back to "simply uninstall then reinstall" when I told them for the thousanth time that I've done that multiple times and my errors are happening while trying to reinstall it they act stumped and say "well then I'm not sure, I'll give you a call if I figure it out" and disappear. I've been very disatisfied at the lack of support from Apple and if Android to piece together a reletively reliable phone I'd switch to them in a heartbeat. I'll follow this question incase someone can answer this, but I don't have much faith.
BTW, wifey has Windows 7 running on the laptop and my phone syncs just fine to that and no trouble with itunes, just mine (desktop).

  • ITunes / Quicktime won't install - error message during in installation

My computer, a Dell running with Windows Vista, has not been able to have iTunes & Quicktime installed on it in months. I've attempted to install it a countless number of times & tried a variety of things with my computer to install it but it just doesn't work - I get the same error message everytime. I can't even remember what happened to make it start acting so ridiculous.
It always starts out looking good and everything seems to be working pretty well, the green bar filling up pretty quickly, but then the 'Status' gets to about 'Publishing product information' and the error message pops up and I can't install it. It goes along the lines of "A error occurred during the installation of assembly: ..." then it goes on to say 'Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007054F'. Here's a screenshot of the error message with the long whatever on it:
    http://i46.tinypic.com/qoesm1.png
I believe I get the same message even when I attempt to download the two software separately (iTunes & Quicktime).
Can any one tell me what needs to be done? I have no idea what to try anymore. All help will be much appreciated. Thank you .
P.S.: If it helps, I can't really reinstall Internet Explorer (removed it when I downloaded Firefox).

    Thanks!
    (3) And I do not believe I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 installed on this computer, as I just tried to install it and I received this error message: http://i45.tinypic.com/a3m7bc.png
Okay ... that rules out one possible treatment. Sometimes people with the redistributable installed can get past this by applying a security update for it ... but it looks like the same sorts of problems are preventing it from installing.
    (2) And last time I checked my History I had several failures I believe, however now I only see one failed update, that being Update for Windows (KB944036). The error code listed 8000FFFF. Apparently it's an update for Internet Explorer 8.
The other primary strategy we (I?) have for dealing with these is to attempt to treat any underlying issues on the PC that prevent Windows Updates from installing. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that your 8000FFFF is related to your IE being uninstalled, I think we'd probably better try following up on the following document:
[Error when you download updates using Windows Update or Microsoft Update: 8000FFFF|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946414]
After applying those measures, do your Windows update and/or iTunes installation failures clear up?

OK.  If both of you are Windows 7.  Make sure you go to Windows update (START button, type in Windows Update). Check for updates and update whatever that are available. (especially Microsoft .NET Framework 4 )
After that see if you still get this error message.
The last resort would be to unistall and reinstall the whole thing.
    Follow the steps below:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components

Please can you advise on what best to do? The laptop is a 32bit windows 7.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736fd, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

Exactly the same problems as many others with iTunes 10.5 and my Windows 7 32 bit laptop: An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT .type="win32", … HRESULT:0x800736FD. I followed the Apple instructions to completely uninstall earlier iTunes and all Apple applications and then tried to re-install iTunes 10.5. Numerous attempts. Still no success. Constantly goes through the install and then rolls back after failure.
By unzipping using WinRAR and installing each module separately it seems that the module that fails is the AppleApplicationSupport.msi
Finally I uninstalled everything again and reinstalled iTunes 10.4.1. This installed perfectly. So at least I still have iTunes.
I was able to install iTunes 10.5 on myWindows XP SP3 desktop.
I noticed with WinRAR that the AppleApplicationSupport.msi file with 10.5 is a completely different size to that with 10.4.1. This suggests to me a conflict between the latest AppleApplicationSupport.msi and Windows 7.
