  • Will there be support for Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 2?

Dying to upgrade to a more precise stylus but Adobe ideas is not supported by any.

I asked the same question about the new Bamboo stylus fineline, and I haven't heard back. However, I think Adobe needs to clarify their divided focus on their mobile drawing apps: Adobe Sketch, Adobe Line and Adobe Ideas. It appears all their focus is on Sketch and Line right now, since they were immediately compatible with Adobe Ink and Slide. I assume this focus is temporary, as Sketch and Line are more consumer facing, whereas Ideas (with more advanced features like multiple layers) adds incentive to purchase Creative Cloud. Further on this point, the Wacom website now indicates that Sketch and Line will soon have compatibility with Intuos Creative Stylus 2 and Bamboo stylus fineline; Adobe Ideas is not mentioned. Links: Bamboo Stylus fineline, Intuos Creative Stylus 2
My question for Adobe; is Adobe Ideas just taking a temporary backset to Adobe Sketch and Adobe Line? Can we expect an update to Ideas that brings parity with the stylus compatibility offered in Sketch and Line? Thanks

  • Adobe Draw & Intuos Creative Stylus 2

Adobe Draw doesn't recognize my pen Intuos Creative Stylus 2. Any suggestion?

I have a Wacom Creative Stylus 1 and an iPad air 2 and it works flawlwssly.
as far as the creative stylus 2 I haven't bought one yet because people have said that it doesn't work as good and looses connection more, but that may not entirely be from the hardware... I know for a fact that my stylus works really well with adobe apps but other drawing apps it has a very difficult time connecting, but as far as actual use of the pen after it connects seems fine to me. I would love to upgrade to a version wacom stylus because the 1 eats batteries like crazy but I am going to wait a bit.
Also I should note that adobe's website says it supports the jot pixel point and jot touch and of course the slide, I did not read anything about the wacom ones though.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is the Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus supported yet?

According to the Wacom website, the Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus IS supported for pressure sensitivity, palm rejection and shortcut functionality.
    http://intuoscreativestylus.wacom.com/en/
    https://store.wacom.com/us/en/product/CS500PK0
However I have been unable to pair the pen with Ideas on my iPad...?
(I had previously paired the pen with another app - I closed the app so think it was unpaired - can it be paired with two apps simultaneously?)

    Hi AdriaDG,
Sorry about your issues with Wacom Intuos Stylus and palm rejection in Adobe Ideas.
    Couple of things to note/try:
    1. We have seen an issue with Wacom where sometimes it does not fully connect and behaves poorly. Try taking the battery out of the Wacom, putting it back in, and seeing if that improves palm rejection behavior.
    2. When you bring down the stylus drop down menu by tapping the pen icon on the right side of the top toolbar in Adobe Ideas with the Wacom connected, does it show a battery level value soon after connecting? If not, this is a sure sign that the connection is probably faulty and you should remove the battery, replace and reconnect.
    3. We are utilizing the palm rejection functionality from the SDK that Wacom provides to developers. When palm rejection is on we ask the Wacom SDK for the stylus touch and, if it is not reporting one, we don't draw a line. I see a similar behavior with my Wacom when I have palm rejection on in Ideas and I start drawing lines without a lot of pressure. They often don't start where I start the stroke and then they start drawing after I've applied a little more pressure. Does this sound like what you are experiencing?
    4. Would you please try installing the Wacom "Bamboo Paper" app on your iPad (available in the app store), connecting your Wacom Intuos Stylus to that app, and see if you see similar behavior. If so, I'm afraid there's not much I can do from my end. I would suggest contacting Wacom Customer Care and telling them about your issue (http://us.wacom.com/en/support or 800-922-6613 in the US).
    Thanks,

  • Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus Support

Todays update  states they have expanded stylus support to include The Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 2 (WICS2).  However, when I try to connect the stylus nothing happens.  The Adobe Sketch and Adobe Line apps which were also updated with the same expanded stylus support does connect The WICS2. I tried a soft boot on the iPad, and it did connect after that, but it wouldn't when I tried to reconnect later.
Has anyone else encountered the same issue?

Just tested some fine line drawing both line and sketch, and even Procreate, with the WICS2, and the performance appears to be perfect, no offset, no "staircasing" of diagonals, as far as I can tell.  I agree with the performance issues though, I have encountered the same problems using WICS2 with Sketchbook Pro.
I guess it depends on the platform.

Does the Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 2 work with Adobe Draw?

  • Wacom intuos creative stylus 2, released the update!

was eventually released the update ! and also works well!

Don't buy an iPad air 2 –the screen technology is different and the stylus is unusable. Doesn't seem to effect the Creative Stylus 1, but man, would I have liked to use a stylus with a slimmer tip.

  • Please update Photoshop Touch for iPad to include Wacom Creative Stylus 2

Please add the Wacom Creative Stylus 2 in the next update, thank you.

A0 is pretty big if you go at a high DPI for printing. It's about 10000 x 14000 pixels at 300 DPI.
PS Touch can handle about 12 Megapixel image imports (which is about 4000 x 3000 pixels). PS Touch, interestingly, can create 4096 x 4096 pixel projects from scratch.
Adding to that, PS Touch always exports at 72 DPI. Take note that this is probably due to tablet hardware. Tablet hardware is "getting there" but it still has a ways to go before it matches its desktop cousin.

  • Why can't I buy the marvel creative stylus in uk

It seems that here in the UK we are classed as second class citizens, where Apple are concerned.
Just try and buy the Marvel Creative Stylus !

Is it Apple that decides what to sell or the wholesaler? You can buy the Disney Creative Stylus from the UK and you can download the Marvel Creative Style iPad app for free. I say download the free app and buy a cheap stylus.

  • Adobe Draw and Wacom Intuos Creative 2

Adobe Draw never support the Wacom Intuos 2 Creative? I would like an official response, as the Wacom has dumped blame the software house.
Thank you in advance, good day.

The latest versions of Adobe Line and Adobe Sketch support Wacom. It will soon be added to Adobe Draw as well. Unfortunately, I can't give you a timeline or schedule more specific than that.
    Hope that helps,

  • Actually I have two questions one, can the lasso tool be anti aliased? And is the Wacom creative stylus 2 supported on the app

iI'm thinking about buying the app, but I NEED to know if it's gonna work for me

ps touch has stylus support, but the only stylus I know that definitely works is the S-pen.
as for the lasso tool: it can be done indirectly.
make a selection using any selection tool, and then use the "feather" option to soften the edges of your selection.

  • Using Wacom Creative Stylus 2

    Hi,
In the FAQ of Illustrator Draw, you mention that the app works with the latest Wacom Stylus but the fact is that I'm unable to pair it.
Can you please advice about how to pair WCS2?
    Thank you for your help.
    Carlos

Any chance you have a timeline on that update? If it's going to be a while you might need to change the Draw FAQ, which says:
Does Draw support other pressure sensitive pens?
Yes. In addition to support for Ink, Adobe Illustrator Draw also supports the latest pressure sensitive pens from Wacom and Pencil by 53.
    (emphasis mine)

  • Using stylus for drawing on iPad air

What's the best stylus for artists to draw on the IPad Air? I tried the Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus and it wouldn't stay connected to Bluetooth and you had to press so hard to have it register.

Well I'm new to iPad and wanted to get the latest etc, but am also finding that current advanced stylus models do not support well this iPad in term of their capabilties regarding pressure sensitivity and palm rejection.
It seems the 4th gen iPad is the last model iPad supporting the current crop of stylus, but having an 'air' I wasn;t about to go backwards. My hope was that current software titles would catch up such as: Adobe Idea, Paper by 53, BamBoo Paper, iDraw, InkPad, Sprite Something; they all lag in support.
I first got a Bamboo Duo 2 (pen and "dumb" stylys) which is fine, no presssure sensitivity, but nib a bit spongy so I ordered a set of thier 'firm' nibs I'm waiting on.  I had also gotten a Pencil by 53 (Fifty Three) which is awesome but no sensitivity though its unique support within Paper make it my first choice there (i.e., blending support) but its nib too I find a bit spongy, but they would not comment on future direction of nibs as ther're only the one.  It did come with two (one being DOA) but they've since sending me out two others gratefully as I've worn out my working nib.  So I kept looking...
The Adonit Jot Pro is non-starter for me, as my iPad is brand new (still to get AppleCare now that it covers water damage), given the rumors of screen damage which I wish they'd address publically someplace as I'm risk averse (64g cell iPad Air ain't cheap). This left me with the Pogo Connect and Intuos Creative Stylus, both more expensive that my Pencil, but established so I went looked for used.
So I found a Pogo Connect in near mint condition and learned they also have an app to test, find your pogo etc settings. Viola!the pen within their app works fine as expected, told them so in feedback and cheered me a bit that the issue which seems to be regarding the iPad Air (higher resolution bla bla bla and finger pointing amond vendors) is a software one with the current crop of apps out there. Old story of new h/w require s/w updates.
Definitely try before you buy and maybe used would work for you as well.  I'm liking a bit of each of stylus I have I like and would like to see some commonality among the more advanced ones like firmer nibs, palm negation support, pressure sensitivity and explicit undo/erase (the Pencil wins here).
I'm not a professional nor unlimited funds to triage others wares but I hope this experience helps.

  • Which Stylus for iPad Air 2

So I purchased (under the impression given by a Best Buy rep that it was fully compatible) a Wacom Intuos Stylus for my iPad Air 2... They are not compatible and I've been fighting with it for 2 days longer than the allowable refund period.
I need something capable of producing art quality drawings/graphics as well as taking notes in an note taking app...  Any thoughts, ideas, etc... would be helpful.  Thanks!

    Hello E2daG
If bluetooth isn't a big deal for you (because there is no capacitive/bluetooth/electronic stylus compatible with the iPad Air 2 yet) Please save yourself the trouble and go get an Adonit Jot Pro.  I tested every available thing today that I could get my hands on and finally decided to get one of those.
This is my first iPad (I have the Air 2) so you can imagine my surprise at trying to get a stylus and seeing so many issues. Come to find out it's because Apple modified their touchscreen capabilities and it causes screen edge issues and wobbling.
So, I went from buying the Wacom Creative Stylus 2 which I would have loved if it would have worked, to the Adonit Jot Pro from Target for 30 bucks. I saved myself about 55 bucks after taxes and I'm a happy camper!  You don't get pressure sensitivity, but you're looking for good drawing and note taking anyway.
    I hope this helps!
