Invalid agent registration password when trying to secure agent

Hi Guys,
looking for some help with an issue im having trying to secure a 10.2.0.4 agent against 10g OEM.
A little background, the agent has been running succesfully against an OEM server which is now being decomissioned. I have editied the emd.properties file in order to point to the new server. I can start the agent ok, so far, so good. however when I try to run "emctl secure agent" I get:

Agent successfully stopped... Done.
Securing agent... Started.
Requesting an HTTPS Upload URL from the OMS... Done.
Requesting an Oracle Wallet and Agent Key from the OMS... Failed.
Failed to contact the OMS at the HTTP URL set in /ford/app/oracle/OracleHomes/agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties
The password im entering works when connecting to dbsnmp in the database.
The sysman/log/secure.log file contains this:
[main] ERROR sec.GetWallet - caught Exception java.lang.Exception: szOmsSeed exception java.lang.Exception: szOmsSeed error: ERROR:203:Invalid agent registration password
[13-03-2009 09:52:48] USERINFO :: Failed.

Any ideas?

as yet I dont have access to the GC environment at this stage, as the new oem is hosted and managed by a separate team. (sorry, would've helped to mention that).
Re firewall, it should be ok I think, I can telnet succesfully to 4889 & 1159, 3872 is open the other way.

I've recently taken over this project as the previous person left the company. Last week everything was running just fine. This week, when I tried to go to either the search page or the admin page, I see:
Internet Explorer can not display the Webpage.
It seems something died on the server.
When I exectue the searchctl.bat, I get the following error.
oracle.search.config.OESException: Error while executing action: "stopall"
Caused by: oracle.search.config.OESException: Invalid username or password. Unable to connect to Oracle SES.

I'm not promoted for a username/password so I don't know if it's trying to use my windows login or if it's reading from a config file somewhere. If it's the former, then I need to give myself access (I do have the admin username/password).
Version info:
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.5.0
SES 10.1.8
Windows Server 2002 SP 2
The server was patched and restarted over the weekend.
I also tried rebooting the server to see if it would automatically startup, and it didn't.

Your directions were fine.
The only admin account I have is eqsys, not sys. And this account was able to connect to the Admin page last week before the server restart.
I entered
sqlplus eqsys/[pwd] as sysdbaIt returns:

ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

If I insetad enter
sqlplus eqsys/[pwd]It connects just fine (but doesn't have sysdba privlege).
So, of course if I enter
SQL> startup
I get
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Since last update (today) I get invalid password when trying to use back to my MAC, password works everywhere else

since last update (today) I get invalid Apple ID password when trying to use back to my MAC in Icloud app on my MAC, password works on all my other devices. GLITCH ?

Try going to the Apple ID page on your web browser
http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/
and try to either retrieve or reset your password
(obviously you had to be able to successfully log in to be able to post here)
I was finally able to log in through my system preferences after about three or four hours. I ran a disk utility to repair permissions and restarted and it seemed to work ok.

I even reinstalled my WRT110 to be sure of the Network Name and Password but I still get this error. I have never been able to log in to the wireless network. I can see it - Ienter my password and still "Invalid Password"

My guess is the DVD is from another region than the one the optical drive is set to. Region changes are limited to 5 total, so it asks for the admin password to make sure you want to do it/allow it. After #5, the drive is locked to that region forever.

Invalid username and password when accessing ovi.....

i have a problem when trying to sign in to ovi on my phone, it says e mail and password invalid even though this is not the case. i can sign in to ovi on the laptop and my husbands E71 using same information. Does anyone know a solution to this........ its driving me up the wall!!!!

This question was asked before. I gave them the solution but they didn't take my advice.
When entering the user name and password to access Ovi, the phone adds a blank character at the end of the user name and/or the password, and the site interpretes them as invalid. If you, after entering the info, erase the last blank character by using the delete button of the keyboard and then click "enter" no problems will remain.
It happened to me too, therefore I know it so well.

Authentication to agent workstation failed when trying to run a test in Oracle Test Manager

I have the complete version of OATS installed on my local machine. I have the OracleATSHelper, OracleATSServer and OracleATSAgent services running.
In OTM when I go to run an openscript test I select the system, type the version number and hit run and get a "Authentication to agent workstation failed" error in the summary field.
It worked before but I cant figure out why it isnt working anymore.
Can anyone help?

I am getting the same error when trying to execute a script from OTM - "Authentication to agent workstation failed".
I have the OTM server on a remote (server) machine and the Oracle Agent is running on my laptop / workstation. I've tried all I have seen on this thread, but no progress. The manager is now in manual mode and the console only provides the following output:

One different thing, maybe, I see is that the agentmanager_auth.log is empty always.
Also, on the server, I've added this SYSTEM successfully, i.e.the Testing of the SYSTEM added in OTM always gives the success message "The system specified can be successfully accessed by the Oracle Test Manager server." . In fact it does this even when I provide an incorrect password!

Windows 7 Backup is not accepting my username/password when trying to back up to my network

When trying to Backup (and/or Create a System image) onto my Network w/Windows 7 Professional, after entering my username and password, I get the following pop up message: "The specified network location cannot be used. Verify the path points
to a correct network location and that the supplied credentials can be used for write access to the folder." Details further show " The specified service does not exist as an installed service (0x80070424)"
I have no problems dragging and dropping anything across my network or accessing any part w/Explorer. Originally I had no password set up at all, but set one up just to try and satisfy the Backup setup windows. I've also turned off all Firewall protection
and Anti-virus software. Still no luck. Am on a Home network/Home group, not a Domain.
I've successfully done this in the past with no problems. I don't know what changed - obviously something did.
I've searched the web for answers, but so far have not found any - this is my first post specifically asking for help.
Is it even worth the trouble if I can create an image onto disks or an external hard drive directly connected via USB. Win7 Professional is supposed to Backup to the Network and that is what I would really like to do. Rem: PC - Personal Computer.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

Time Capsule promts for sparse bundle password when trying to restore backup to clean MacBook

Hi,
My five month old MacBook Pro 15" suffered from a "smart" HD failure. I got it serviced and it came back with a new HD, a fresh OS and a new, clean user.
When trying to restore my backup from my Time Capsule, I get asked to provide the password for machinename.sparsebundle. I have not set such a password. I have tried both my Time Capsule password and my username & corrensponding password but neither is accepted.
Additional details:
Wifi via Time Capsule works fine.
Time Capsule password is fine, I can log in on a general basis.
My wife's MacBook is fine, and runs Time Machine on the same Time Capsule.
Both old HD and new runs OSX 10.8.2.
I have tried restoring both over wifi and via ethernet cable.
Please advise.

I use the password for the user I have originally on my MBP (on the backup).
     "But you should not restore a version earlier than the one used now."
Not sure what you mean here. The OSX-version is the same on both my backup and my MBP.

Thank you for the link. I have gone through Q14-17 but it does not cover my problem; I get asked for a password for the sparsebundle file. (I do not have a install disk though. Any workarounds for this?)
Even when I try to verify the sparsebundle in First Aid in Disk Utility (http://pondini.org/TM/A5b.html) I get asked for the password for the sparsebundle.
Is this not a known problem?

I have just installed the Grid Control via OUI on Windows. I can log into the EM, but I cannot get the agent to start.
Whenever I do emctl start agent, I get:

Why does my iMac now ask for my login and password when trying to drag anything to the trash?

I have the new iMac and am now having issues trying to delete anything off my desktop. It is telling me that Finder wants to make changes when I try to drag anything to the trash. I have to constantly resubmit my login and password and then the item just disappears, does not remain in the trash to be emptied later.
I am not sure what happened because it never acted like this. All of my software updates are current and I don't get why my Trash is no longer working as it used to.

Use the plus- and minus-sign buttons to give yourself Read & Write access and "everyone" No Access. Delete any other entries in the access list.
4. In the General section, uncheck the box marked Locked if it's checked.
5. From the action menu (gear icon) at the bottom of the dialog, select Apply to enclosed items and confirm.
6. Close the Info window and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). Open a TextEdit window and paste into it (command-V). Select the line you just pasted and continue as above.

Why does my iMac now ask for a password when trying to create a folder in Finder?

My iMac has started to ask me for my login password when I try and create a new folder using Finder. I concert folders on the desktop and drag to the correct location in Finder and I can also create folders in the tree view of Adobe Bridge both without having to enter a password. Any suggestions?

Give this a try:
Reset User Permissions and ACLs
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
From the Utilities menu select Terminal. At the Terminal prompt enter: resetpassword. Press RETURN. When the window opens select your startup drive where it says "Select the volume containing the user account:" At the bottom of the window you will see, "Reset Home folder permissions and ACLs." Click on the Reset button.

SCOM Agent Grayed Out When Trying To Monitor Domain Controller

Hi i am trying to monitor my domain controller from SCOM 2012 R2. But it is grayed out. I tried to restart the Monitoring Agent Service of DC. After this agent was showing healthy state but after some time it was gray once again. Repeated this process again
and again and get the same result. I have also read many blogs related to this problem and all of them are saying to run HSLockdown.exe /A "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" to allow this account. Also tried this approach but this command is not working. The
command is not running. Please help.
