Invalid class: Javabean not available for import

hi all,
I have developed a very simple javabean in my WDJ DC in folder src/packages like this:
package test.beans;
public class TreeBean {
     private String name;
      * @return
     public String getName() {
          return name;
      * @param string
     public void setName(String string) {
          name = string;
however when I try to import that into a model in NWDS 7.0.11, I get Invalid class: javabean not available for import.
When I try to do the same in NWDS7.1SP5 it succeeds.
What's wrong?

Hi Experts,
i am using java bean model in my Web Dynpro Application.
for that one i have created command bean(Customer) and in my command bean i am using some other class(CustomerInfo) as reference. this CustomerInfo class contains 4 attribtes(name ,id ,etc all are of type String)
when i try to import these 2 class into web dynpro (using java bean model),for the Customer class it

Naidu,
Please try to repeat JavaBean model import when running IDE in console mode (correspondign short-cut should be available in Windows Start menu, otherwise just copy original short-cut, edit it and change in command string "javaw" to java).
Post here what is shown on console during import.

Xml files not available for import

Is there a way to open xml files from fcp 7 in fcp x without purchasing the 3rd party ap 7 to x? I read that some of the past updates were supposed to resolve this issue but it has yet to work for me. I am runnin fcp x 10.0.7 on OS X 10.7.5. The files that I saved to my desktop are not selectable in the import xml option in fcp x. Please help!!

No. FCPX uses a quite different XML structure. You need 7toX.

KinectRegion class API not available for JavaScript

Hi,
Is there any equivalent to Microsoft.Kinect.Xaml.Controls namespace functionality for HTML5/JS? I find the KinectRegion provides a very simple and direct way to add Kinect events to a standard Windows 8 store app.
How can this be achieved with HTML/JS Windows store apps?

The namespace and core components are supported in store apps, but we don't have controls. You can review the ControlBasics-DX on how you could extend and use the Windows 8 extensions objects for Interactions for a WinJS application. Performance
can be an issue which is why you may need to create managed/unmanaged libraries that will bubble up values for your UI interface.

In Address Book, why does Apple let you create custom fields in the Template cards but not have them available for importing?

I open Address Book, go into Preferences, select Template and under the Names field (friend, assistant, father, etc) I add a custom field called "Principal".
I also add two more custom fields in the Email area.
Quit Address Book then relaunch. Add a new contact and the new custom fields, Principal, etc. are there. All good so far.
I have a Now Contact file with about 200 contacts in it. I export all fields as a Text file, Tab delimited. No problems there. With Address Book launched, select Import, pick the text file, leave Text Encoding on Automatic and click Open.
The window that shows the fields for Address Book and fields for the text file side by side opens. This is where you match up the correct fields for importing. If I go to one of the fields from the text file that I created a custom field for, click under the Address Book heading on the Do not import, scroll thru the Apple choices of fields, none of the custom fields show up. Only the original Apple ones are there. Why does Apple let you create them in the Template area but not have them available for importing? Does anyone have suggestions on getting around this?

While most likely not of interest to you, Spotlight can also tell you where the files it finds are located
Hover the mouse pointer over the name, and press Command-Option and the path to the file will be displayed.
As for opening a terminal session in the directory where a file is located, there is Applescripts that do just that as well as specific features in Lion/Mountain Lion terminal:

Lightroom not showing all photos avail for import

About a week ago, I tried to import some new photos into LR 3 (3.4.1 to be exact), and the import dialogue does not show all the photos that should be available for import.
The files are on my hard drive and there are approximately 200 photos in the file folder. When I open LR's import dialogue to import the photos (after navigating to the proper location to import from of course), it shows me 17 of the photos in the file folder! I selected "all" instead of "new" to see if that would make a difference and it did not. I made sure I did not have "do not import suspected duplicates" checked, even closed LR and rebooted my computer.... that didn't work.
I tried creating a new catalog to see if that would fix the issue, and it did not.
I'm not sure what else to try, or if there is a known fix out there (having a heck of a time finding one in my internet search!)
Any ideas/suggestions?

Okay, so for giggles I tried checking in the Bridge to see if that changed anything... and it only showed the few files too. So I decided to "select all" and noticed at the bottom left that it listed the balance of my photos as "hidden." I have no idea how my files got hidden, or why it was only some and not others... but at least it's all fixed now and I can get back to what I need to do in LR!

Preview not available for this file on import

I just transferred all my stuff from a vista computer to a new Windows 7. Lightroom 3.3 is now running as a 64 bit. I am importing tiff scans which were done on the Vista computer. At first everything was going fine, but now when I select files for import, all I can see are greyed out boxes which say "preview not available for this file". If I import the file, all is well, but I would like to see them in preview as well. Also, the program has crashed twice in the middle of an import.

Yes, the larger preview is viewable. I'm using Vuescan to scan the files. Nothing has changed with the scanning from the previous scans which worked fine...same settings, same computer (not the new one).

Error importing new version of our app "Application not available for edit"

Hi,
We are trying to import an app and get the error: Application not available for edit
thats it on a clean white background - Application not available for edit shows up at the top left corner of the screen.
Any clues?
We tried a new id, tried a custom id.
Then we tried deleting the existing app so we could insert the new app.
We can't delete either.
Help!

I'm going to hijack this thread and ask a follow up question to Scott (or whoever reads this).
When we export our application out of DEV it gets exported as Run + Build. When I have the DBA import into test or production on the Import screen I have them set it to Run Only and Reuse the Application ID. After installing it just forwards you to the same white screen with the "Application not available for edit" message on it. Now I understand the actual message since its Run Only, but its not clear that the import actually worked correctly or not.
So although it does seem to import correctly, they always get nervous when they see this that it didnt import correctly. So is it better to have them import as Run + Build and then go change the build status through the admin front end rather than the way I'm doing it now?

Some classes are not available

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3
I have a question. Why some packages are not available for plain JAVA programs.
For example oracle.webservices.provider.. or
javax.servlet.httprequest....
And if you create for example a web service proxy these packages are available for imports.

It all depends on the list of libraries/jars you specify under project properties->libraries.
When you create a Servlet through the JDeveloper wizard for example, JDeveloper automatically adds the needed jars to your project.

Function not available for this responsibility - Custom Form

Hello All,
We developed a custom form and was working fine in Testing instance.
Last week testing instance was refreshed.
After that all the custom forms are not working. Seeded forms are working properly.
We checked the form setup(ie form, function, menu and we ran compile security and bounced the server).
Custom reports under the custom top are working fine.
Only the form functions throwing the error
"Function is not available for this responsibility".
Any ideas. Is the test.class having any impact on this.

the Mac internal HD ist not shown on import screen (no user drive shown!). Whenn I select 'choose other source' I can see the user drive but no
finder-structure an all!!! pictures appear for import (sorry if I don't use the

I followed the instructions and my user drive has now been restored to the image source list... phew !!

Refnum Not Available For RT

I am attempting to get a refnum to the Owning VI from an XYGraph
refnum. The catch is that I am running as a standalone exe (in debug
mode) and the refnum that is passed into the property node to obtain
the Owning VI is shown as "Refnum Not Available For RT." The Owning VI
refnum returned is invalid and when I pass it to the FP.Close I get an
error. What can I do to overcome this?

Kyle- you asked to see what was before. Here goes:
I have a "Initialize Graph" VI that I call - that's where I first obtain the reference to the XYGraph.
Then I call a VI to write XY data to the graph. This one works when I'm running as an exe, despite the graph ref showing "Refnum Not Available for RT" when I place a probe on the ref.

"Preview not available for this file" error message.

I'm using LR 4.4 but it hasn't worked correctly since I got my new camera (Canon 70D). When trying to import I keep getting the "Preview not available for this file" error message. I had some better luck connecting the camera with a usb cable, that let me see the jpg images, but it would not let me see the raw (.cr2) images. Would I solve this problem by upgrading to LR5?
I'm running LR 4.4 on a Windows 7 PC.

New DSO data fields are not available for transformations in the upwardflow

Hello,
There are data flow from
many source DSOs -> Target DSO -> Final DSO.
Different transformations are defined and activated with DTPs. This works fine and provides the desired results.
now new fields are added to the target DSO, final DSO and one of the source DSO.
When I now try to edit the transformations, the new fields are not part of the sources at the different stage.
The fields are available in the Data Source created out of a DSO but not directly when using a DSO as a data source.
Have anyone faced such a problem?
any solutions to this?
- I cannot delete all the other transformations as this is too much work to do and there is no time for it.

We created ZMD_BS_MAT_OVP_LAYOUT. But the situation has not changed - the fields are not available for edit.
