"invalid destination address" when trying to send MMS

Tried a factory reset. Pulled Battery. What is the problem?

Hello Chaseolson15. We want you to enjoy the use of MMS! Is this happening with all of your sent messages? What type of message app are you using? Have you tried deleting your messaging threads and starting new ones? Additionally, please try running the device in safe mode and testing with the factory messaging app. http://bit.ly/vW58PM

When tying to use the app store it takes me to itunes and will not let me access due to a "invalid destination address."

    - Try a reset. It cures many ills and nothing is lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try going to Settings>Store and sign out of your account and then sign back in
    - You access it through your computer?
    - Try powering off and then back on your router.

  • How do I get phone #'s to come up instead of email addresses when trying to send a MMS?

I just got my Galaxy S4 2 days ago and was trying to send a picture from my gallery as a text message to a friend.  I know I can start from messaging, and then attach the picture, but I was already in the picture, so clicked on the messaging icon from the picture, and when I started typing my friend's name, it only brought up her email address, not her phone #.  I didn't want to email her, I wanted to send it to her phone as a text message.  The only way I could do this was to start typing her phone #, instead of her name.  I don't know a lot of people's phone #'s by heart, so I don't understand why it isn't bringing up phone #'s when I start to type the person's name?  I had the Droid Razr before, and that's how I always sent pictures.  When I started typing a name it would bring up phone #'s and email addresses to choose from.  If anyone knows how to change this, I would love to know how!

    Try this:
    Click on the Contacts icon
    Select the Menu key
    Select Settings
If the Only contacts with phones is checked, uncheck it

  • Error When Trying To Send MMS via email

Ive been trying to send an MMS via email. Ive got it to work a couple times but other times I get a message that says: MAILER-DAEMON.....etc....remote host said: 550 SMTP connection refused [BODY]"....
I sent the pic message to a verizon phone by emailing to [email protected]
    please help. thanx.

I'm not sure why a Verizon subscriber not updating the PRL for their phone affects this, but it can.
As already provided, ask the Verizon subscriber to update the PRL for their phone per the instructions included with this link, which should resolve the problem.

  • Error message 5.0.0 invalid domain name  when trying to send email??

I can receive emails but can not send out emails. I have contacted my IP several times and gone thru settings several times. We are all stumped. Problem started when we switched from dial up to high speed.

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
Are you running 10.1.x, as your OSX, as indicated by your listed info?
Is the SMTP you are using as the Outgoing Server, the one provided by your ISP?
Have you tried selecting None as the Authentication choice for the Outgoing Server, and entering no Username or Password? With some broadband providers, Mail can authenticate the SMTP by means other than a separate authentication step on the SMTP, and trying to do it again, will result in failure.
Many ISP will say their SMTP must be authenticated, but some do recognize that some email applications, including Mail, can do this in a step that precedes the separate authentication, by Password of the SMTP. In Mail that step is only needed for those SMTP where the name must have the Username appended by the authentication action.
    More info, please.

  • I get "there are non ASCII characters in the local part of the recipient's address" when trying to send emails as BCC. email addresses are all good!

I used to send out christmas greetings from my biz to groups of 20 customers, in BCC format. all addresses are good, but the emails don't get sent now because of the supposed ASCII problem.

Restart the operating system in '''[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe_mode safe mode with Networking]'''. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode Windows 8], [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7 Windows 7], [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-vista Windows Vista], [http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true" Windows XP], [http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564 OSX]
; If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates.

  • "invalid destination address" sending mms

Whenever I try to send a picture message (or any sort of MMS really), it says "pending" for a few seconds then says "sending" and after a few more seconds it finally says the message failed and a note pops up that says "invalid destination address"
Normal texts have gone through just fine to Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint users but pictures/sounds will not send at all.
    Help Please!?

Hi, I'm having a similar issue to the one described above and was wondering if you could offer some suggestions.
I have a Droid 2 Global...I bought it in August of 2011.  Until yesterday, I had no problems sending MMS (or SMS) messages to any of my contacts.  Then, I started receiving the "invalid destination address" message when trying to send a message to one contact.  This contact is a Verizon Wireless customer, as am I.  Messages to other Verizon and non-Verizon customers go through with no problem.  I called Verizon and performed the *228 update, performed a power cycle (removing the battery, waiting 20 seconds, putting it back in), cleared out all of my text messages, had my friend perform the *228 and power cycle, ensured that there were not any changes made to my account or my friend's account, and it is still not working.  Just to clarify, SMS messages are going through to all contacts.
Verizon's only suggestion was to factory reset my phone.  I'm not satisfied with that answer.  Do you all have any other suggestions of things I can try?
    Thanks!

  • I keep getting an invalid address when trying to purchase songs.  All the information is correct - it just send me in a circle

I keep getting an invalid address when trying to purchase songs on itune.  All the information entered is correct.  I have tried on my iPhone, iPad, iTouch and on itunes.

THE FIX: your credit card address AND spelling of your name must match iTunes.
Please don't google or read other blog entries on the Internet telling you to use a restaurant address or those that are telling you apple is doing address validation. They are all written by 17 year olds who pick up the first thing and re-post. Why do people try to "help" by authoritatively posting an answer? The mass of them are ruining my google searches. :-)
Apple is now validating whatever ASCII that you told your credit card company. It's not just address validation.
    Name AND address must match.
    Then it worked for me.

  • "Invalid Destination Address" for MMS messages

I got an HTC One M8 about a month ago, and everything has been working great.  However, the last 2 or 3 days, I haven't been able to send MMS messages.  I know that the numbers are correct, because I have been grabbing them straight from my contacts, and I have triple checked them.  I've tried about 5 different pictures with 5 different contacts, and every time I do, a red triangle with an explanation point in the middle comes up saying "invalid destination address".  I have no idea what happened, as it's been working up until the last few days.  I have tried with and without WiFi, force stopped my messages and cleared the cache.  Nothing works.  Can anyone help, please?

RDSHARP39, thanks for trying all of those steps for us. I want to make sure that we get the device back up and running like it is suppose to. Are you able to receive picture messages from your contacts? Have you been able to power off the device and pull the sim card out for a good 10-15 seconds: http://vz.to/1B3J1vX After that time frame please place the sim card back into the device and re-try sending a picture message. Keep us posted.

  • Sending failed because of invalid destination addresses - URGENT

    Hello all,
I have to send an e-mail with a lot of users in BCC.
The e-mail is not sent because some addresses are not valid and i get the following message : SMTPTransport: Sending failed because of invalid destination addresses.
I supposed that even if some addresses are not valid the mail would be sent to the others.
Is there anyway to send the e-mail only to the valid addresses ?
    Cheers.
    Stefano

Have you tried adding this bit of code to your program?
    Properties props = System.getProperties();
    props.put("mail.smtp.sendpartial","true");
If you set send partial to true, it should send emails to the valid addresses
    Good Luck,
    A

  • HT3529 i have a problem with mms in my iPhone 5s when m trying to send MMS

i have a problem with mms in my iPhone 5s when m trying to send MMS then a message appears on the screen 'cannot send messageMMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this message' but in settings there is no setting available to inable MMS in message settings

Had the same problem. Have you checked your Cellular Data Network MMS fields? You should write there your MMS settings (APN, username, password, mmsc, mms proxy and mms max message size). You can get the data from your carrier. After that you could need to restart iPhone.  Worked for me.

lots of people seem to be havgin a problem sending email from iCloud webmail.
does your email address have uppercase characters in it?
if so, try creating an alias in lowercase (go to preferences in iCloud webmail and select 'accounts') and see if email sends okay from that
