Invalid field in parameter list. (0x26, 0x00)

I was archiving my old family videos and making a nice movie of them in final cut express. I exported them the same as I always do and created a menu using the reflections theme in iDVD. The movie was big so I adjusted the settings for DVD+R DL as I hae done before and clicked burn. I use and external Sony DVD Burner that is wonderful and has never given me any trouble.
After about ten hours I came back and there was an error message.
Burning Finished
Errors were found during the burning process
OK
When I clicked on the down arrow this appeared...
The recording device reported the illegal request: Invalid field in parameter list. (0x26, 0x00.)
So i clicked ok and this appeared...
Multiplexor Error
There was a problem during multiplexing/burning
ok
So I clicked ok and took the dvd to try and play it in a DVD player, obviously it wouldnt work so I quit iDVD and restarted my mac. I tried the process agian with another DVD and after 10 hours, same message and same result. So I went to the store and got sony DVDs (I was using memorex ones), but still, even with sony's DVDs I go tht esame message.
PLEASE HELP ME
imac G4   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   800 MHz PowerPC G4, 512 MB SDRAM

I'm glad to be here.
However this doesn't help. When I click on the link
and error message appears.
Today is very frustrating
Yikes! I surely didn't mean to add to your aggravations today!

  • DVD DL failed, error code 0x26, 0x00 ?

Made project in iDVD 6.0.4, going to burn DVD DL Verbatim disk, encoding gets all the way to finish and starts to write to disk, disk spits out with error code >The recording device reported the illegal request: Invalid field in parameter list. (0x26, 0x00)< iDVD 6.0.4 will make a disk image, and I can burn a DL disk in Toast 9, although a bit worried about the dual layer issue which comes as a warning from iDVD 6.0.4, anybody had similar problems with LaCie disk writers? Obviously iDVD 6.0.4. sees it, System Profiler, Under Disk Burning, Burn Support, it says YES (Unsupported).
Had no problems with LaCie 16x burner, in for repair at present?
    Any suggestions welcome.

Hi, thanks for the reply, apologies, I have not have made it clear.
My internal drive has long gone, working with a firewire, LaCie,22x+-RW burner external. System profiler I have previously noted. I am quite happy to make a disk image first, then burn through Toast 9, which I agree with you is brilliant, just worried about iDVD's warning about layer break. My gut feeling is that Toast 9 has moved on a lot from 6, which gave me problems when I came to playback on TV screen. Also the DVD readers have also moved on, would still like to burn from within iDVD 6.0.4 to be safe as one can be, hence seeking advice if I am missing something on my set up.
    Kind Regards, G. Jackson.

  • Invalid value for parameter error when value is in list of allowed parameters

I have some documents with a lot of paragraph styles that have been organized into groups. I have a simple script that is meant to ungroup these styles and delete the now-empty groups.
    Code:
    #target indesign
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    if (myDoc.paragraphStyleGroups.length > 0)
        myDoc.paragraphStyleGroups.everyItem().paragraphStyles.everyItem().move(LocationOptions.AT_END, myDoc);
        myDoc.paragraphStyleGroups.everyItem().remove();
    alert("Done")
The error I receive is (emphasis mine):
    JavaScript Error!
    Error Number: 30477
Error String: Invalid value for parameter 'reference' of method 'move'. Expected ParagraphStyle, ParagraphStyleGroup, CharacterStyle, CharacterStyleGroup, CellStyle, CellStyleGroup, TableStyle, TableStyleGroup, Document or Application, but received Document.
As you can see, my pickle is that my value is of an allowed type. This only happens in some documents, and there's nothing that obviously distinguishes those documents from the ones in which it works.
One thing I've noticed is that the error sometimes takes a while to appear (a minute or so), but none of the styles have been moved once I click OK. So, I don't know if it's specific to one style. I doubt it, only because other documents with the same style set work.
Can anyone shed any light on what this error could mean in this context? I definitely have an activeDocument, so what could cause a Document to not be a Document?
    Any help much appreciated!

    Hi,
It occurs when 2 or more styles have the same name, probably.

  • CR 2008, all values in parameter list not showing up

The parameter is not optional, the parameter value exists in the view on SQL server, but at report run-time, only get 5 pages of possible values to select from and user needs to go back farther to get the required report.
I can get the report to run in full CR version by passing the value into the select expert, but users only get prompt window from the runtime version of CR.
How can I get ALL the values of the field in the view to show up in parameter list?
    Thanks for any pointers.

  • Passing a parameter list from a web form to a report

    I am using FORMS6 and REPORTS6, with OAS 4.07 on NT4 (SP3).
In client server mode all works well - i am able to pass parameter lists from my calling form to the relevant reports and view them (using RUN_PRODUCT).
However, when i try and do the same by deploying the web Form I come up against several obstacles.
    1. How do you pass a parameter list over without using "Paramform=Yes" - a waste of time seeing a html version of the reports parameter form when all the necessary parameters have been selected in the form.
    2. if i use web.show_document, with paramform=no, the report runs but with it's default settings.
Any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Tony ,
Launcher form is just a simple form(Non database form) which will be having all fields that is required for the report and button to run the report .
    When button pressed trigger
Pass all the parameters which are required using Run_product tool & Call the report by Web.Show_document
Best way to see the report is in .pdf format in adobe acrobat reader
I hope it will help you

  • CR 2008, missing parameter values in parameter list

somehow this thread got posted in the  .NET SDK section, so re-posting here...
When my users run the report, the list of values in the paramter list does not include all the possible values that exist in the view on SQL server.
How can I get ALL the values of the field in the view to show up in parameter list?  What is controlling how many/few values show up?  I have not limited in any way what should be returned from the view (not a cascading set of parameters), and the view is not set up to limit what values are available either.
    Thanks for any pointers.
    Robert

From a mis-post on the .NET forum, a solution was suggested that works....
Re: CR 2008, all values in parameter list not showing up

  • List all parameter in a parameter list

    Hi all,
My form have a Parameter List which will have different number of parameters added to it based on different situations.
The parameter list will then pass to a procedure, does anyone know How to list out all the parameters from the parameter list
I mean, as the parameter name, parameter value & the number of parameter are changed in runtime, that's y I don't know how to show all the parameters from the list.
    Thanks!

How about adding one more parameter that contains indicators for each parameter you have added to the list? A simple text field might work with zeros and ones where ones correspond to parameters that are present and zeros for those not present. Or maybe a comma separated list of abbreviated indicators, but that would be more difficult to parse.

  • IMPORT from database with dynamic parameter list

    Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m having problems during import from a cluster table.
I wanu2019t to do an import with a dynamic parameter list, but I cannot get it to work.
    Sample code ********
    DATA: BEGIN OF st_key,
    report LIKE rsvar-report,
    variant LIKE rsvar-variant,
    END OF st_key.
DATA dirtab1 LIKE cdir OCCURS 10 WITH HEADER LINE.
DATA dirtab2 LIKE cdir OCCURS 10 WITH HEADER LINE.
    st_key-report = 'ZPRG'.
    st_key-variant = 'VAR1'.
IMPORT DIRECTORY INTO dirtab1 FROM DATABASE vari(vb) ID st_key.
IMPORT DIRECTORY INTO dirtab2 FROM DATABASE vari(va) ID st_key.
    DATA: tmp_var(100)   TYPE c.
This works - P_BWTAR is a parameter from the selection screen registred in VARI
I'm getting the content of the field in tmp_var
    IMPORT p_bwtar TO tmp_var FROM DATABASE vari(va) ID st_key.
This does not work - the parameter P_BWTAR is in the dirtab2-name
    I'm not getting the content
    LOOP AT dirtab2.
        IMPORT dirtab2-name FROM DATABASE vari(va) ID st_key.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
I have tried the syntax IMPORT (dirtab2-name) ........
but this fails the syntax check.
Please - if you have any suggestions  :o)

  • Agreement field in Source List-

    Dear Experts,
What is the importance of agreement field in Source List?
How it works in combination with MRP parameter parameter in Source List?
I welcome any inputs on this.
    Regards,
    Shetty

the agreement is a source too for a  specified period.
if you use contracts and source lists, then you have to enter the contracts in the source list to get this contract listed when converting a requisition to a PO.
Especially if you want that MRP autoassigns the contract as source for the requisitions, then you have to set the MRP indicator next to the contract line (keep in mind that each source list must only have one item with a MRP indicator)

  • Alternatives to long parameter lists when calling methods

I've heard you shouldn't have more than 3 parameters when calling methods. What are the alternatives to long parameter lists when calling methods? Compounding parameters into new inner classes, declaring them as member fields? Which one is preferable?

Okay, I get it. But since it's late in the day, I'll share my additional wandering thoughts. And I'll just go ahead and preemptively slap myself for doing so. Ouch! There. So the rules are more like this:
    1) Only use setters if the values in question are meant to be part of the state of an object.
    2) In general, don't let external entities directly set the state of an object.
    Which can be combined into:
    1) In general, never use setters.
    Which could be reworded to:
    1) Only use setters in non-general situations.
    Or:
    1) Only use setters when setters are a good solution...which isn't very often...generally speaking...
Or if I were to infer when it's a good solution:
    1) Only use a setter when it is useful to the caller and has no significant negative effects on the operation of the object nor the maintainability, size, or performance of the class...generally speaking...
Actually, you might just infer from here forward that the "generally speaking" is implicit to every rule, and is essentially the "There is an exception to every rule" rule. Which is an interesting rule because it can be applied to itself, resulting in a paradox...generally speaking...but I digress.
And then translated back to the original topic:
    1) You can use a setter instead of a constructor argument so long as the value isn't needed at time of construction (or a default value will suffice) and it is useful for the caller to be able to use the setter and using the setter has no significant negative effects on the operation of the object nor the maintainability, size, or performance of the class.
But this won't quite cut it either. With the input of others, we could eventually devise a very concise rule, but it will end up being so long that on one will ever read it...making it an ideal candidate to be included in a legal document. Which will eventually find it's way into a very long scroll pane with a check box at the end exclaiming that you read the document, at which you will not be able to continue unless you check the check box...at which point, what do you do? After all, you are not a liar...generally speaking...
In summary, you could potentially use setters in some limited cases, but in the general sense, that's more of an option than a recommendation. :-)

  • FRM-47007: Cannot get parameter WUC_DATA attributes from Parameter List: in

    Hi,
I am pretty sure this is a webutil message. I am running 10g through OC4J, all was working well one minute then on startup of the form I get these 2 message 4 or 5 times:-
FRM-47007: Cannot get parameter WUC_DATA attributes from Parameter List: invalid list ID.
    followed by:
FRM-47007: Cannot get parameter WUC_DATA_MULTIPART attributes from Parameter List: invalid list ID.
These 2 message are repeated 4 or 5 times then things appear to run fine, I can open and read files, transfer them etc. The only thing I can think I have done differently is add a bean to a data block but when I remove the bean and restart the OC4J I still get the messages.
    Any ideas?

    Fixed,
I dropped the WEBUTIL object group then added it again by adding the object library then subclassing it to the object group. The error messages are gone.
    Cheers

  • Daily Messages relating to (invalid field in cdb)

    Hello all,
I am investigating a set of messages that occur at the same time every day. See excerpt below. They occur at 9:41 everyday and are shown in the oldest messages file which go as far back as May 1st. Is there anyway to find out what is causing these messages? The server is a Sun-Fire V440 running Solaris 9 with c1t0d0 and c1t1d0 hardware raided. I was not a part of the original setup so I do not have much details on how the initial configurations went. I have searched the net and found that the ASC:0x24 basically indicates an illegal request was sent to the device and is of no harm, but I want to know why they occur at the same time every day. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well from the old explorers I am inclined to think maybe its something else and not processes. Maybe what you said about the LSI card drivers sending bad values to the scsi drivers. From the old explorers also there was no iostat or vmstat or anything that looks suspicious in the process list. I am inclined to believe these messages existed since installation of the server.

    Hi Sasi,
Export-SPWeb is used to export a site, list, or library rather than a site collection. The Identity of the command should be a site.
Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to export a site and import it to aother site. Is it right?
I run your command using the URL of my site instead of the
http://SitecollectionURL/, everything worked well. Please re-run the command below:
    Export-SPWeb -Identity <URL of your site> -Path "F:\filename.bak" -IncludeUserSecurity -Compression 1024 -IncludeVersions 4
In addition, please try to export the site via Central Administration->Backup and Restore->Export a site or list under Granular Backup, and select the site collection and the site, then  click ‘Start Export’. If you want to import the exported
site to another site, you should use Import-SPWeb command.
    About Export-SPWeb command:

    I hope this helps.

A coworker figured out that the switchboard data input form was pointed at the wrong executable file. I knew there wasn't anything wrong with my code! I'll remember this one next time!

  • When sharing iMovie11 project  with iDVD inmediately message 'the project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred (Error in user parameter list).  Finalize issue?

When sharing my 60 minutes iMovie project with iDVD inmediately message 'The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error  occurred (Error in user parameter list)' appears. Could not find the user parameter list, so I've no more info about this error.
Option File - Finalize Project gives inmediately the same errormessage.
Also option Share - Media Browser - Large/Medium/Mobile give the same errormessage.
    Please advise, thank you!

Additional info: trying to write to internal disk (268 GB Free out of 499 GB)
