"Invalid Java Home ...." .Installing the JDeveloper  Studio Edition ---Mac

I have try every Path OR"JDK Path",and jdev told me: "Invalid Java Home ......" .
I cannot understand this: Ref: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/install.1111/e13666/toc.htm
6.2 Specifying the JDK location on Mac OS X Systems
Note: This section is not applicable to the Studio edition.
When you start JDeveloper for the first time, the jdev script prompts you to provide the location of your JDK installation if it cannot locate it. You will need to enter the path to java.exe.

A quick search on this forum for Mac would have shown you that there are some extra steps mentioned in the release notes for Mac:

  • Unable to debug the jspx page on Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1, using Windows 7 OS

    Hi,
I am unable to debug the jspx page on Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1, using Windows 7 OS.
When right click on jspx page , clicks on Debug option, it gives the following error:
Debugger unable to connect to local process.
[Server Instance IntegratedWebLogicServer is shutting down.  All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]
I also restarted the Jdeveloper, even re-installed Jdev but still the problem persist.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

If the jspx page is not part of the adfc-config.xml the page can only be displayed, but the tags will not work as the adf life cycle  is not involved. drag te page onto the adfc-config.xml (the unbounded task flow), right click on it and select debug from the context menu.
Main problem is : Weblogic server cannot be started in debug mode.
To check this, open the application navigator, select the integrated server, right click on it and select 'debug' from the context menu.
After a short time you should see some messages and at last you should see <Runnning> in the message log. Now the server runs (without any of your applications, but it runs).
If you done't see the 'Running' message you should see an error, which you should post here.

  • "Invalid Java Home" when installing Weblogic 10.3.1 on Mac OS X 10.6

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to install the generic [Weblogic 11g (10.3.1)|http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls/wls1031_generic.jar] on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), which supposedly has a JDK 1.6 installed.
It can't seem to find a JDK, and when I tell it to use the following:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home
I get an "Invalid Java Home" error.
Has anyone successfully done this on OS X 10.6?

Just as an update, we're soon to release the WLS 11g R1 PS2 update, which will contain WLS 10.3.3 just to confuse things.
As part of that, we're distributing for the first time, an additional .zip version of WLS to make it easier for developers.
The zip file distribution has no GUI installer -- it's a simple case of unzip, run a script it provides, then start the server.
The zip file distribution has been specifically tested on Mac OS X and the WLS config/domain scripts automatically adjust as necessary for the Mac OS X java environment.
Once the zip file distribution is available, we hope that developing against WLS on Mac OS X (and Windows/Linux) will be an easier task.

  • "Invalid Java Home" when installing Oracle Weblogic 11g (10.3.1)

    Hi folks,
    I'm trying to install Oracle's Weblogic 11g (10.3.1)
The installer starts, but does not detect the JDK home (which I expected). It does however let you browse the file system to select a home. I've tried selecting the following:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home
but I get an "Invalid Java Home" error.
According to the documentation, Weblogic should run on a 1.6 JDK.
I notice that there are a few other Java related issues on these forums. Does anybody have any clues?
It sounds like the Apple JDK needs patching to make it usable by some Java apps. Bring on the 10.6 Java patch!

Just letting everyone know that the answer can be found here:
    http://blogs.oracle.com/emorales/2009/06/weblogicover_mac_osx.html
It seems that we have to "dummy up" a jre/lib directory to fool the Weblogic JDK detection check.

  • ERROR - CLONE-20270   Java home of the Middleware home is invalid.

    Dear All,
I am executing copyBinary script (cloning environment). The following error appears during execution:
SEVERE : Nov 26, 2012 7:25:27 PM - ERROR - CLONE-20270 Java home of the Middleware home is invalid.
    SEVERE : Nov 26, 2012 7:25:27 PM - CAUSE - CLONE-20270 There are two possible causes:
    1. Did not find either JAVA_HOME or JAVAHOME property in product.properties of WebLogic Server home.
    2. The Java home did not exist.
Obviously script expects product.properties with valid JAVA_HOME. How to generate product.properties file?

Which document did you use for cloning ?
Which OIM Version are you using ?

  • Problem while starting the Jdeveloper studio

    Hi,
I have installed the Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0.0.
But when I am starting the Jdeveloper Studio I am getting the error as "Unable to create an instance of the Java Virtual machine located at C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll".
I have install the JDK 6.0 Update 20 at C:\Program Files\Java Folder before installing the Jdeveoper.
And I had mention C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20 path while installing Jdeveoper JDK location.
To test whether JDK has been install properly or not I have also tested a sample java program and it worked. So I think there is no problem for JDK.
But While starting the Jdeveloper Studio I am getting the above mentioned error.
Can Someone is aware of this error? Or face this error at any stage?
Please let me know the solution if knows
    Thanks,
    Shweta

    Hi,
Changing the virtual memory option did not worked for me.
I have found the following solution and it worked for me.
In order to fix this type of error, go to installation_directoy\Middleware\JDeveloper\jdev\bin folder
    and edit file jdev.conf.
    Locate line "AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=256M".
Now add another line just below this line:
    AddVMOption -Xmx256M
    I found this solution at : javainnovations.blogspot.com/.../jdeveloper11g-startup-error.html
    It work for me.
    Thanks,

  • Invalid Java Home

I am trying to install WebLogic on a 64-bit Cent-OS server. I have read instructions all over the place but no matter what I try I keep getting the error message "Invalid Java Home" when I get to the JDK selection section. I have tried the interactive mode and the graphic mode with the same results. I don't seem to be able to generate a log file either. What home am I suppose to be pointing this to? I have the installation jar file in the following location:
    /oracle/software/WebLogic_Server/wls1035_generic.jar
I have the JAVA_HOME set to /usr/java/jre1.6.0_18 and the PATH set to $JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH or /usr/java/jre1.6.0_18/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/home/emgc/bin. I have also verified that there is plenty of space available.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Your JAVA_HOME env variable seems to be pointing to a JRE home directory ( /usr/java/jre1.6.0_18 ) instead of a JDK home directory (which should be something like /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_18 )
It might be a documentation issue, or there could be some issue with the currently installed Sun JDK and you should consider using JRockit 64 bit instead.

    hi,
    in studio>windows>Preferences-->SAP J2EE Engine
you give the WAS (web application server) path, you will gate them from below link..
    http://service.sap.com/instguides
    For All about NWDS
the easiest way to download NWDS is in Service Marketplace , there go to the software download center (service.sap.com/swdc) and click on "Search for all Categories" on the left hand side. If you search for "Developer Studio" and then click on "SAP NW DEVELOPER STUDIO 2.0" in the results, you can navigate down and find the SP that you are looking for. SP18 is available now.

  • HT1338 I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

    Hi,
I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date.  All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue.  If that doesn't work, let me know.
I am a printer tech for HP.

  • I just installed the new firefox for Mac OSX 10.6.8 and when I select an image on a site (right click and copy) and paste in Photoshop 5.5, the image lightens. It does not do this in Safari.

    Question
I just installed the new firefox for Mac OSX 10.6.8 and when I select an image on a site (right click and copy) and paste in Photoshop 5.5, the image lightens. It does not do this in Safari.

Firefox, Safari, and PhotoShop each handle embedded color profiles differently. For an add-on that makes it easier to experiment with Firefox's color management options, you might be interested in: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/color-management/ Color Management :: Add-ons for Firefox]. I haven't tried it myself.

  • Trying to install the print studio pro plug in into Lightroom 3

When I look into the program files there is only a .lrdevplugin plug in and it is not the one I need to give me acess.  How do I get it?  Thanks I know the route in, just dont have the right plug in.

I'm having the same issue as the original poster. The latest version of PSP does not seem to be installing properly thus we cannot access it through the menu. Normally after installation it shows up in the list you show in the screen shot, but it's not showing up after downloading and installing the latest version. There should be a folder ending with .lrplugin in the PSP installation directory but there isn't one. Instead there is a folder named CNPSPPILR.lrdevplugin. I tried using Lightroom's plugin manager to manually add it to Lightroom and at first this seemed to work as it said the plugin was installed and running. And then PSP would appear in the list you show in your screenshot. However if I tried starting the plugin, I get a popup saying Windows cannot find CNPSOPN.exe. Edit: Also if I attempt to use the Print Studio Pro Plug-In Install in the Canon Utilities folder in the Start Menu, it says that a compatible version of Photoshop or Lightroom is not installed. I'm using the current edition of Lightroom (2015.1.1).

    Hi,
assume you talk about SRDemo. When you installed SRDemo it asked you for a database access to install the database schema. This also configures the database access in teh ANT script. The demo installs itself with no other steps of action required

  • CVS branching  in JDeveloper Studio Edition Version?

    Hi there,
how can i create a CVS-Branch for a project that is in CVS ? I use JDeveloper Release version(Studio Edition Version). There is a "tag" section which gives tag to the project, but i think this does not mean that we can branch. Is there another way to create branch?

JDeveloper can do almost all the features of CVS with the embedded CVS Versioning plug-in except branching capability. You can see the activities for CVS with JDeveloper from the internal documentation of JDeveloper which is great to learn the details of CVS and JDeveloper. Just click the "Table Of Contents" from "Help" menu and search for "cvs' and read the tutorials.
