Invalid key code and multiple installs

OK, so I got a new iMac and tried to install vista on it like I had on my old iMac (2006 Model). However, when I finished the installation it started a new installation and it ended up installing vista twice. It would have done and third install, but I held down the option key during install and manually selected the windows partition instead of the Windows install CD. However, not all of the Windows features were installed like Aero so I deleted the windows partition. My iChat buddies list got deleted so I had to delete my iChat preferences (don't know if this will help).
Anyway I tried to re-install Vista this morning and it said my key code was invalid, although it worked yesterday. What is the problem? This is the second invalid key code problem I've had on this Mac (the first was with Logic).
Oh also, there seems to be some remnants of Vista on the computer even after I deleted the partition because unless I held down option/alt during boot up it would try to run windows and would say no boot disc.

I tried reinstalling it and it slowed down my boot up speed because it didn't install right and I had to delete the partition once again.
The keycode issue has been resolved though for some reason...

The customer received their permanent key in respect of these licenses - the key is for Crystal Reports Server XI.
They did not purchase these licenses for Crystal Reports Server, they purchased Crystal Reports and a 5-named user license for Crystal Reports was included as a special offer. The software included was version XIR2, but they elected to use version XI instead and they received key .
They cannot decide to upgrade now - they must enrol these licenses in maintenance if they want to upgrade them.

The other is customer with only Crystal report product, the support is via SDN.

By design, the product is not able to be installed under the superuser account.
1. Create a new user and specify a home directory for the user without a quota set.
2. Copy or move the installation files to a directory that the new user can read. I suggest you move the installation files directly into the new user's home directory.
3. Logon as the new user (or su - newuser)
4. run the installation shell script using that new user's account.
NOTE: Ensure the system meets the requirements from the supported platforms documents.

Bapi_Acc_Document_Post - E 018 : Invalid tax code and company code combination

Hi All,
I need the help of this forum once again.
I am using bapi Bapi_Acc_Document_Post to create KR documents in SAP. The bapi works absolutely fine except for one scenario:
For a particular type of invoice coded to Company "XXXX" with lines having tax code "I0", the bapi returns error message "E 018 : Invalid tax code and company code combination". The tax code "I0" and the company code "XXXX" has been mapped in SAP and if I try to create the invoice manually in SAP using the GUI, the invoice gets created without any issue.
I have tried searching the forum but could not find any post on this topic.
Therefore, requesting the masters to please help me out on this.

Invalid Key Code when trying to install Crystal Reports XI

Hi, I was referred to your web site by SAP phone support.
I am trying to install Crystal Reports Developer XI on a Windows Server 2003 machine, and the key code I retrieved from the service.sap.com site is not being accepted by the installation program. It gives me an error message saying that the key code is invalid or expired.
What can I do? I tried posting a message to XX-SER-LIKEY-BOF as instructed on service.sap.com but they only answered by giving me the same non-working key code again.
I tried calling the phone support site, and they instructed me to go to sdn.sap.com. I guess this forum is what they meant.

Can't install Logic, invalid key code that I know works

I bought Logic Express last year and I tried to install it today on my new refurbished iMac. I lost the instruction manual with the code on it so I looked up the license information on my old mac and wrote down the code, but when I tried to use that code it said it was invalid. Then I tried copying the program onto my external hard drive and then copying it again onto my hard drive on the mac, but it needed the code again and then said it was invalid.
Is this because I still have it installed on my old Mac? I tried to use migration assistant because I assume it was made for this type of thing, but it doesn't work either. I can't get a connection between the computers.

It's unlikely that having LE still installed on your old computer prevents you from using the code for installing it on the new one. Check if you copied the licence key right and its format first. Also, if you had your LE registered with Apple, you can get in touch with them via Support and retrieve your licence key, I guess.

WEP Invalid Key Code

I have the HP Officejet 4500 Wireless and keep getting the invalid WEP key code while trying to set up the wireless printing. I have 4 key codes for my router and have tried them all with the same result. There is a link to a document posted by someone else regarding this subject but the link is no longer valid so I'm looking for the solution.

Do not use WEP, it is not secure and can be troublesome to set up devices like printers.
Change you router to use WPA or WPA2 with a password you create. Make it a long one (13+ characters).

7.10 installation server, load balancing and multiple installation servers

In the 7.10 GUI installation server, there is no Load balancing option anamore, also there seems to be no option to easily clone the installation server from within the nwsapsetupadmin.exe program.
If having MANY users at one location, and needing more than one installation server to accomodate the frontend installations, do you need to do this "manually" now ? grouping users and and the logon script directing different user groups to different sapgui installation servers ?
what about creating multiple installation servers easily, is it possible to simply copy the installation server directory (c:\sapinst f.ex.) to another file server, share the directory and configure the DS and IS services (if needed) ??
will configured packages and "on end install" scripts and such be copied too to the new installation server ?
I need to easily create installation servers in 15 countries, this is the reason for my question...

Regarding your question:
The "Load Balancing" was more a fail-over service and wasn't intended to use for several locations like in your case.
So the easiest way to do this is to setup one installation server and copy the files to the other servers. On the new Installation servers you only have to setup the service again and that's it.

Best Practices: BIP Infrastructure and Multiple Installations/Environments

We are in process of implementing BI Publisher as the main reporting tool to replace Oracle Reports for a number of Oracle Form Applications within our organization. Almost all of our Forms environments are (or will be) SSO enabled.
We have done a server install of BIP (AS 10gR3) and enabled BIP with SSO (test) and everything seems in order for this one dev/test environment. I was hoping to find out how others out there are dealing with some of the following issues regarding multiple environments/installs (and licensing):
Is it better to have one production BIP server or as many BIP severs as there are middle tier form servers? (Keeping in mind all these need to be SSO enabled). Multiple installs would mean higher maintenance/resource costs but is there any significant gain by having more autonomy where each application has its own BIP install?
Can we get away with stand alone installations for dev/test environments? If so, how do we implement/migrate reports to production if BIP server is only accessible to DBAs in production (and even real UAT environment where developer needs to script work for migration)? In general, what is the best way to handle security when it comes to administration/development?
I have looked at the Oracle iStore for some figures but this last question is perhaps one for Oracle Sales people but just in case anybody knows... How's licensing affected by multiple installations? Do we pay per installation or user? Do production and test/dev cost the same? Is the cost of stand alone environment different?
I would appreciate if you can share your thoughts/experiences in regards to any of the above topics. Thank you in advance for your time.

Your data is bigger than I run, but what I have done in the past is to restrict their accounts to a separate datafile and limit its size to the max that I want for them to use: create objects restricted to accommodate the location.

Hello - can anyone help please? I have upgraded my software to Quicktime 7 and purchased a registration code. When I enter it, there is no box to click enter and when I press the tab key, nothing happens? I spent £20 on the code and my videos still won't play? Can anyone help please?

It may sound silly, but i had an issue with my Quicktime Pro key (Quicktime 7) where the key was not accepted due to my not using capital letters on my first and last name. My iMac auto capitalized when I entered the info when i purchased the Pro key. Once I used the Capitals on my registration, my old key worked fine. Hope this helps.

Mac Won't Start: Invalid Key Length and Non-booting External Hard Drive

I just installed a bunch of software updates and had restarted the machine for them to take effect. On startup, my Mac shows the Apple logo and the spinning circle at the bottom like it's trying to configure the updates and then about a minute in it shuts down.
So I booted into single user mode to try and troubleshoot/repair it and get an "Invalid Key Error" which according to this post - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8882372&#8882372 - is bad news.
So I'm planning to buy the online version of Disk Warrior, install it on a bootable external hard drive so I can try and repair my main disk. But when I try to boot from that bootable hard drive (USB) my Mac instantly dies. I hold down the OPT key to start up, select the drive, then -zap- black screen and the computer restarts again.
Any ideas what might be going on?

I don't have a DVD on me (I'm on vacation right now) but I do have an image of the DVD on a bootable external hard drive as well as a clean install of Leopard on the hard drive (on a different partition). Any time I try to boot from one of those, the computer looks like it's going to start to boot and then restarts right away.
I've also got my wife's MacBook Pro here. Is there any way I can connect my other machine to hers, mount it as an external hard drive, and run Disk Warrior from her machine?

Invalid Key codes

I have "repeated step 2" so many time I can't count. My key codes will not validate my quicktime pro. Also, I have email apple support at least 6 times with no response.
Can anybody help?

It is usually best to "Copy/paste" both the name entry (including salutation) and the number from the e-mail to the application. Also make sure you didn't accidentally purchase an authorization for the wrong platform. They are not interchangeable.

Invalid key code

Hi guys
I brought my copy via a phone hook up with Microsoft in late Dec 2013 it has work fine until I had a problem with my computer and had to do a reset now I can not find the key as it was put in by the installer who came on line in the computer the only one
I found comes up invalid, also the whole office program is in a different folder and will not work at all after the reset.
I hope you can help me as I am only on a pension and could no way afford any cost

How do you “reset’ your computer? If the computer is broken and you’ve changed the hard drive, such as hard disk, motherboard, etc.. that would bring the license problem. Please do a phone activation in Office. The phone activation process will provide
you with the appropriate phone number to call. Explain to the service (Human being) that your computer died and has been retired, you would transfer the license to the new machine.
If the product key can be found and use Office 2013 Home version. Check this:

No this was absolutely of no help what so ever!!!!1I have had this issue before and it was also a nightmare. I don't understand why you have to go thru so much pain until you can talk to a real person. I don't have 48 hours. I use this app to make money. I can't update it, so I can't use it, all because I can't update my info, which is clearly on the Apple side. Not my bank (like they first want to say), not me, I know who I am, but it must be something on apple's side. And to wait 48 hours for an email response to tragic .
