Invalid link for Oracle9i JHeadstart Developer's Guide
The link to the Developer's Guide at http://otn.oracle.com/consulting/9iServices/JHeadstart2.html
is invalid.
You are right. We are in the process of uploading this file. I will annonce the new page on this forum when the developer's
guide is uploaded.
By the way the zip file that includes all the viewlets is not uploaded either. We will fix that as well.

Hello,
The OTN download for Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0.1) 32-bit for Windows Server 2003 is incorrect. This link brings you to the 9.2.0.3 PATCHSET download, and NOT the base release software.
Here is the contents of the link when followed.
"Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard/Personal/Client Edition for Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
Download the Complete Files
OUI220180.zip (47,405,300 bytes)
9203WIN2K3.zip (181,643,734 bytes)
Documentation
Oracle9i Database Release 2 for Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) Release Notes (PDF/HTML)
Directions
1. Before downloading, please review the product certification information for this product.
2. Consult the release notes for download and installation instructions."
I need to download the 9.2.0.1 32-bit Client. The eDelivery site only has the 9.2.0.1 64-bit release.
OTN Admins - please help!
Regards,
SteveAre there any moderators checking this forum?
I called Oracle support and requested a shipment for Oracle9i for Windows Server 2003. I made sure that whatever media pack they were sending me what explicitly for 2003. It was for both 2000 & 2003 however the client/database CDs for 2003 are only for 64-bit.
If 9i 32-bit is the only certified version for AMD processors why isn't it in included the media pack? There's a nice sticker on the back that notifies you that the 32-bit software requires an additional upgrade that is available from OTN.
So, If OTN's link is bad and no one is from OTN is moderating this site then how on Earth is anyone able to aquire this software version? Oracle's Metalink offers no solution outside of posting to this forum.

Incorrect link for "Oracle9i Release 2 for Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
Hi. Go to here http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/index.html
Then, under "Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0.1)", try to download "Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard/Personal/Client Edition for Windows Server 2003 (32-bit). It just gives you a patch. It's not the correct link. Where is the full CD images!
Compare this to the 64-bit version under "Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0.2). This does have 2 big CD images.
Can you fix the link? I need the software for Windows Server 2003 (32-bit). Thanks.Yes, it's a little confusing but it's all in the release notes on that page. Basically, you need to install 9.2.0.1 for WinNT/2000 first and then apply the patch to bring it up to v9.2.0.3 for Windows 2003.

We have a somewhat mini scale network. We have anywhere from 40 to 60 ranging from WLan and Lan devices. Right now we have been using opendns for content filtering but we would like to limit certain sites to just certain groups and if someone goes onto a site they shouldn't then what we would like to know is the IP of the user and there mac address If we could somehow find a captive portal software or hardware that would be perfect because it takes a lot of guess work out of things. We use Apple Wireless router's and run 2 server's one running Mac OSX Server 10.6.7 and a 2nd server running the same which act's as our OD replica
So my question is what do you guys use?
Were looking for the more user friendly the better and by that i mean I don't want to be using ww-rt on some router or something
Thank you for your time.
Have a look at Vicomsoft and their Intergate Inspect package. This runs on a Mac server and lets you link to Open Directory for authenticating users and lets you set filtering for users or for groups of users. Sounds exactly what you want.
See http://www.vicomsoft.com/products/filter/index.html -
Viewed some documentations and samples on PL/SQL WEB for Oracle9i Application Server but not for Oracle9i. Can any one tell me where I can find the sample of PL/SQL WEB especially for Oracle9i ? Thanks!

Updated link to Java Card Development Kit and related documentation
Note that the right link for Java Card Development Kit and related documentation is
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javame/javacard/download/index.html
It used to be
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javacard/downloads/index.html
which is still on-line, but the links there are dead and sometime to obsolete stuff. If you don't have those directories, obviously, you don't have the source release with cryptographic extensions. You have a different release.
The version you downloaded isn't a source release but you still have the full kit.
For the src release, contact $un for a license. -
Guide for Tuning and Optimizing Red Hat Linux AS for Oracle9i Database
I put together a step-by-step guide for tuning and optimizing Red Hat Linux Advanced Server for Oracle9i. It's my first draft version and I would appreciate any comments and feedback.
The article
"Tuning and Optimizing Red Hat Linux Advanced Server for Oracle9i Database"
can be found at:
http://www.puschitz.com/TuningLinuxForOracle.shtml
The article
"Oracle 9i Installation on Red Hat Linux 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, and on Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1"
can now be found at http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle9i.shtml
And both links for
"Oracle on Red Hat Linux"
can be found at
http://www.puschitz.com/OracleOnLinux.shtml
WernerIs this good for Redhat Linux 9.0 and not just the advanced server.
If it is not could you please provide me the links to articles like,
"Guide for Tuning and Optimizing Red Hat Linux for Oracle9i Database"
"Guide for Tuning and Optimizing Red Hat Linux for Oracle9i App Server"
"Guide for Tuning and Optimizing Red Hat Linux for Oracle9i Infrastucture"
Thanks. -
According to the Chapter 7(Business Rules in BC4J) of JHEADSTART(RELEASE 9.0.5.1) DEVELOPERS GUIDE,
some API can't use in DEVELOPER(RELEASE 10.1.2).
For example,when I used DEVELOPER10.1.2,
it couldn't find "Bc4jUtils.addUserError()" and "Bc4jDBTransactin".
Would you have any API to instead of the "Bc4jUtils.addUserError()" ?
Thanks for your help
HorngDarHorngDar,
Have a look at the Migration Guide of JHeadstart 10.1.2, it describes how to migrate Bc4jUtils calls.
Hope this helps,

Does anyone have a good link for images I can access for my web development work. I have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5
In short, NO.
I was hoping that the 7.4.1 update would allow it to work, but it has caused more problems than it is worth. If you do actually get it to work you will see the TC in finder (under Shared) when connected to the internet outside of your home network. What I have found though is that the 7.4.1 firmware update has made using the internet at home almost impossible.
I have tried Hamachi but it is not reliable.
I have settled with Dropbox so my files are synced between my home machine and laptop. -
Execute Work Item: Invalid Link (SWN155) for WD ABAP task ?
Dear all,
I have created a workflow task with WEBSERVICE object and configured task visualization with WD ABAP application.
When i am executing the work item through SAP Inbox , the application is triggering successfully.
But when the work item is transmitted to Outlook through Extended notifications configuration i am getting the error
Execute Work Item: Invalid Link (SWN155).
We have already implemented the 1381164 and 1164090 OSS notes.
We don't have UWL, the link need to be opened the WD application directly.
I am unable to find the error.
Please help to solve the issue.
Thanks,
VamshiHi,
Have you checked OSS for possible fixes? It might that this was something that was clearly a bug, and not matter what you do, it will not work, unless you implement some fix.
Regards,
Karri

Guide for InDesign Plugin development
Hi,
I am new to Extension builder - plugin development. I have experience with actionscript.
I would like to get guide, document, reference or instruction to learn InDesing Plugin development.
Thanks In Advance
Regards,
BharatTo develop InDesign plug-ins you need to get the InDesign SDK. You can find instructions in Adobe's website on how to do this. This includes a lot of information including a "Getting Started" guide.
Note: InDesign plug-in development has it's own forum. This forum is for CC Extension development, which is not described in the InDesign SDK.
