Invalid Links on OTN Data Mining Page

Hi,
some of the links on the OTN Data Mining Page (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bi/odm/index.html) are not working. They end in error 404. This is true for some of the technical information such as the FAQs and the data sheet as well as for the download of the Oracle Data Miner for example.

Oracle9i Data Mining is an Oracle9i database option - so it's part of the database download. Same with Oracle9i OLAP, but you can download OLAP 9.2.0.4.1 Analytic Workspace Manager or Oracle9i OLAP Web Agent at: http://otn.oracle.com/products/bi/olap/olap.html

How to use Data Mining for a blind DBA?

Hi, I'm a blind DBA and I need some input and some suggestions from the forum on how to access the Data Mining feature.
This feature is becoming more and more an essential part of my daily tasks, so I need a way to use it.
Database: Oracle 11.1.0.7.0
OS: Windows XP Pro and Linux

I know there is a Windows program called Data Miner, unfortunately my JAWS speech synthesizer does not work with the interface and I need an alternative. I
read Oracle's documentation on the Data Miner API., but it is short on examples, details , and step by step instructions. Does anyone have a more
comprehensive set of examples on how to use the Data Mining API. from start to finish, specifically for market basket analysis? Any help would be
appreciated.

I am not very knowledgeable about Oracle Data Miner, the graphical user interface to Oracle Data Mining, but I can respond to your question about API documentation.
You may find the source files for the Data Mining sample programs to be very helpful. They provide many examples. After installing Oracle Database, install Oracle Database Examples. This separate installation process installs the sample programs in the DEMO directory under Oracle Home. Instructions for installing and configuring the sample programs are provided in Oracle Data Mining Administrator's Guide. Here is the link to the relevant chapter in the 11.1 Administrator's Guide.

Need to create a chart in summary page and link it to data

I need to create a chart in a XL worksheet that contains other summary information. I am able to create a chart in a seperate sheet but i simply cannot find a way to insert a chart into a worksheet already containing some information. To make it clear, my requirement is as follows:
Inser a chart in cell 'X,Y' with a dimention of 'W,H' and link the chart data to some data in some other page 'sheet1'.

WPC: Invalid LINKS in a Page

Dear all,
we works with WPC SP16.
We checks a Page with the link consistency check and we have invalid links. How can we delete this invalid links?

Hi, I'm not sure if this can solve your problem because I never worked
with WPC, but we're talking about KM so here it goes:
go to Content Management > Reports
There you can start a Link Consistency report.
This report checks the links in KM repositories and determines whether the link targets are valid resources. You can choose to have the report delete broken links as they are found.

Links into OTN don't work

Links from outside sources (specifically, Google) to areas of OTN don't work. For example, a search produced results for http://otn.oracle.com/products/iportal/files/pdkdec/jpdk/release.notes.html , but the page doesn't have the content... only the OTN navigational elements. And, of course, it's nearly impossible to find anything from within OTN. Truly frustrating....

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then try email links.
No data is lost due to a reset.

In the Administrator's Guide to Oracle Data Mining 11g. One of the steps is to install the the Oracle Data Mining sample programs, which, according to the author, is included in the Oracle Database Companion. The author did not specify from where to download neither the sample programs nor the database companion CD/DVD!

How to remove links pointing to the same page?

I have PDF documents with Links which point to sections referenced (e.g. link of text "Section 2.2" points to the actual page number of "Section 2.2"), but as the links are created from cross-references during rendition from Word to PDF, there are cases that the destination page number and source page number of the links are the same (e.g. links of text "Section 2.2" on page 9 are created with the destination of page 9 which is the actual page number of "Section 2.2"), I want to remove all these links, but I don't know how to get the destination page, I check the API reference and find that "PDLinkAnnotGetAction" may work , but I don't know how to use it, could you check me codes below and advise ? Processing a data mining structure throws an error

Processing a data mining structure throws an exception stating the following:
"Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the 'IDK' attribute of the 'Test IDK' dimension from the 'Project1' database was being processed."
"Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The attribute key was converted to an unknown member because the attribute key was not found. Attribute IDK of Dimension: Test IDK from Database: project1, Record:17072643"
I am using a DB view as a DSV. It does not have a unique primary key. Since DB view is getting multiple results per IDK, the IDK repeats for multiple rows. The same IDK is defined as Key column for the mining model. Not sure if that is the
issue. Please help!

According to your description, you use a database view in the data source view that do not have a primary key, so you get the error

10.2 EM: Wrong host in data guard page

Hi.
I've installed 10.2 OEM on my host to control my oracle environment.
I've a fail over cluster on 2 Solaris 9 host and some 10.1 instances on 2 logical host.
I've configured one agent per host and one agent per logical host on every physical host.
All works.
Next I've another host on which there is some standby database; also in this host I've installed agent.
Now the problem:
In my logical host I've a primary database, the OEM database instance page tell that the database in on logical host but if I enter in the data guard page i find that the primary database is on physical host and if I click on link of the primary database I got an error page that tell:
Database ... is not discovered.
The link to the home page is not available.
I've try to remove database from OEM and rediscover it but none change.
Suggestion?

If it is RAC, the listener should be configured not from Database Home, but from Grid Home. You can use 'srvctl add listener' command to add listener into cluster registry.

Data Mining model usage in real time application

Has Oracle a product that is similar with the Intelligent Miner for Scoring from IBM. Or are there any technical white papers how to use analytical Models, exported via PMML, in an Oracle Datawarehouse enviroment? I read on the Data Mining Group web pages that Oracle is a member there, but i coul`d not found any documentation of how to use analytical models exported with PMML in an Oraclae enviroment

Another way to do this is to specify your shared variable to be a custom control and create a control that simply has a 2-D array in it. I've attached a zipped LabVIEW 8.2 project that shows both methods. Enjoy!

Error thrown when a link is clicked in OAF page

Hi all experts,
In OAF, based on a query, i am populating the rows in table.
One of the columns is made as a link to a standard OAF page. The link is given below.
Link 1: OA.jsp?OAFunc=PO_ORDER&PoHeaderId={@PoHeaderId}&PoReleaseId=&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
When i click on that link its showing the following error :-
*"You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator"*
But instead of that if i give the following link (Link 2, after making a slight modification to Link 1). I am getting a page somewhat similar to the desired page. But is showing some unwanted data also.
Link 2: OA.jsp?OAFunc=POS_VIEW_ORDER&PoHeaderId={@PoHeaderId}&PoReleaseId=&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
Can someone help me to make out the problem with the first link.
I need to use Link 1 only in my page.
