"Invalid Login" trouble again

From 2pm to 4pm today (central time US) I was unable to logon.
The SSO screen just kept returning "Invalid login" with the same userid/password I've had for 15 years.
This happened on 3 separate platforms, my home desktop (Firefox/Comcast), my iPhone (Safari/AT&T), and my work laptop (IE/company VPN), so I don't think it was a local problem.
Rebooting/clearing the browser cache didn't help and I was able to logon earlier today without any problem.
I reported the same problem a month or so ago. There was never a resolution but the problem seemed to vanish. Well, it's back.

I am having the same problem on my Itouch. I have reset to the manufacture settign and still have the error. I have no free phone counsultation at this time and I am having troouble getting rid of the error. This error shows up when I go to Apple Store or Itunes, and I just can not go online now. Where can I find additional posts to for this situation.

Since customers review data twice in one day,and the time for loading and aggregating data is very long, so we adopt one 'SWAP' machanism .
For example:
It has one ESSBASE cube named 'Sales' and one SWAP cube named 'Sales_C'.
Sales Cube is used in production environment, and Sales_C Cube is used for loading and aggregating data, when the process will be finished, it will rename Sales Cube to Sales_C for loading and aggregating next time,and rename Sales_C Cube to Sales for using.
So our problem is that when ESSBASE do SWAP machanism , BIEE will generate the following error messages in NQServer log files as below, and users will look at error report .After click the refresh button below report, it will be OK. Why? How to solve this issue? Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, and the login and password is 100% correct.
The FTP is propely configured, but Muse are having problem with it. I can login throught a FTP session from a terminal session, and it also works perfectly with FileZilla or another FTP-client.
I have made some traces througth Wireshark, and it's clear the Muse made a sucessful login. But, fter the login Muse sends a request for UTF8 and gets an answer from the FTP-server that UTF8 is always enabled, and there is no need to send this command. Then Muse sends a TCP ACK, and the packet after Muse sends FIN, ACK. See a snip from the trace below...

This means that Muse disconnects AFTER a sucessful login, but give the user a faulty message saying "Invalid login or password" and not that Muse has disconnected because of another reason.

Mail server reports invalid login. Retype login and server accepts it. Password Manager selected.

TBird v 24.5 running on W7 and Avast Free AV (up to date) running.
For years TB has been successfully accessing the pop mail account on this PC with Avast, etc...
Recently the provider (Centurylink/Embarqmail) made some changes. I double-checked the settings against their online list of settings. Also went over them with the Tech Support folks on the phone.
Upon opening TB, it goes to check mail and reports back:
Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop.centurylink.net responded Auth-status invalid login or password.
Press OK, then select Re-type PW. Enter the same password as I always have, and select Password Manager to remember.
TB will successfully check mail.
Close TB, start it up again, and get the same response. Go though the same motions, and am able to get mail.
Centurylink/Embarq has said repeatedly that I need to contact the manufacturer of TB... They say they have given me all the support and settings they can.
I've tried changing all sorts of settings to no avail.
Hoping that someone out there recognizes this problem and can offer a solution, or give me some items to check to get to the bottom of it.

You can try this:
Open TB, go to Tools/Options/Security/Passwords, and click saved passwords. Select (click) the email with the password issue, and then click remove. Restart TB.
The password prompt comes up. Enter password, check the remember option, and see if that fixes the issue by restarting and seeing if it logs in without issue.

Invalid Login Error LR3.3

After multiple attempts I'm thouroughly disenchanted with the LR3 FTP. It refuses to upload via FTP, regardless of how many times I try.
Filezilla happily uploads files using the same information (as did Dreamweaver prior to changing to FZ) - what gives with LR??
Personally the workaround suggested on sveral forums of exporting and then uploading are a stop-gap measure; if FTP upload is being offered, why isn't it working successfully?
I'm using an Intel Mac, Firewall accepted for LR, LR 3.3 64Bit.
Any ideas? So far all I've drawn is a blank.

LR set as Passive - have also tried Enhanced Passive, but same error message.
Have checked the port and also disabled the port, again same error message.
Also used SFTP as well, ditto.
The settings in Filezilla match the settings in LR, (the only difference I can see is that I have Autoselect for FTP or SFTP in FZ.)
Still getting "Invalid Login" error message.
I'm obviously missing something - I just can't figure out what.

Calling different Applications w/o having to enter login info again.How ?

we have created several apex applications that are in different workspaces. Each application has it's own custom authentication process and a login form.
Now we want to have a central login form, from which user can login and be able to visit
all applications in other workspaces (without having to pass through the login form again) , through a menu with url links.
We managed to do it for the applications that are in the same workspace, by adding the same cookie name in the authentication scheme of each application, and passing the same session_id to all menu url links.
How can we achieve the same result if our applications belong to different workspaces?
Any help will be appreciated!!!

Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
to get your data off the machine,
then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

I was trying to add a new essbase server using EAS and i been getting the following error.

Your function can redirect to a page that shows the message you like. For example, if you wanted to redisplay the login page with the message, just do something like this:

apex_application.g_unrecoverable_error := true;
return false;
Then adjust your login page so that a message appears if the "request" value is 'MSG'. The redirect_url shown above sets the request value to 'MSG'. Normally the login page would not show the message because that request value would not be present.

my guess is this user "ovowl" doesn't exist at all.
I have tried logging into the console for 5 times with a non existing username, and I got the same error:

EssBase: Login fails due to invalid login credentials

I am currently running Hyperion System Planning 9, authenticating users through my LDAP server and am having a problem creating new users. I have gone through what I believe are the steps I need to take and have created my users but now when they try to login to EssBase, through the excel add-in, I get this message: "Login fails due to invalid login credentials"
I have searched the forums and the Essbase knowledge base and have come up empty. The only thing I have found is this:
"You just need to provision your shared services user with access to Essbase. Right-click on your user, select provision and then give them the required Essbase rights."
I have provisioned my users several times and made sure that they are added to the correct groups but they still can't log in.
Has anyone had this issue before?

I believe the password has been changed but unable to login.
My question is how do we reset this password.

Do you know password of any other user? If yes, then login into database,
execute query "select usr_password from usr where usr_login='user whose password u know'". This will return encrypted value of password. Copy it and execute query:
"update usr set usr_password='Copied password from above query' where upper(usr_login)= upper('xelsysadm');".
In this way you can set password of Xelsysadm to a known value. Now, you can login into system and change the password of System admin.

Invalid login credentials when install oracle xe

Hi friends,
I installed oracle xe version 10.2.0.1.0 correctly, but when i tried to login to adminstration via
http://localhost:8080/apex
with sys or system and the password (which i have given during the /etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure)
It says invalid login credentials

Had same login credentials problem today (and pwd was spelt as it always is). No way was I getting in via frontend or SqlPlus or using any online tip.
Deinstalled and reinstalled several times according to instructions. Note that ¨/etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure¨ doesn´t re-run unless you update ¨/etc/default/oracle-xe¨ file with ¨CONFIGURE_RUN=false¨
Now I am into a whole host of connection problems and the database service does not start. Any ideas?
