Invalid path /jsp/AFDashboardPageView Error with 3.1 dashboard

Anyone run into this error with displaying dashboards in InfoView 3.1 (on sp2, fixpack 2.7): HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /jsp/AFDashboardPageView was requested. It's not the dashboard itself - displays fine in edit mode and even simple test ones generate the error.
I have 2 environments at the same patch level. One is working and the other gives this message but I can't find the diff. I've been working with support for several days now with no progress.
I'm so incredibly frustrated with version 3.1 right now and would be really grateful for any help.

Thanks for the response. What did they say about another environment is working?
It doesn't make sense to me that it is a bug when one environment works but the other doesn't...
I also opened a ticket with SAP but they are so slow to respond.

Dscl create user getting Invalid Path

I was trying to create a postgres user using the command
sudo dscl . -create /Users/postgres
But failed. Got the following output
create: Invalid Path
<dscl_cmd> DS Error: -14009 (eDSUnknownNodeName)
-delete option gives me the same error. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

After upgrade my Business Object 3.1 SP0 to SP3 with Fix Pack 3.4 appear in the home of InfoView this error: HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /AFDashboardPageView was requested.
I can not upgrade more (i´m in the top level), how can solve it?

Can you you please try the following?
1) Stop the tomcat
2) Go to <BOBJ installation path>\TOmcat55\webapps and remove the following directories:
- InfoViewApp
- InfoViewAppActions
3) Start the tomcat
Try again now to start the InfoView.
I asumme that you are using WIndows. The path for Unix is similar ( <bobj installation paht>\tomcat\webapps)
Do you have any integraiton Kit installed?

took delivery of a new iMac yesterday (without a DVD drive!), downloaded Creative Suite 4 Design Premium from Adobe website, but when attempting to install from either local or network drive the following error appears:

I am using jcreator where i am getting this error while compiling

Looks like you are typing in things wrong with the double quotes.

Invalid Path error - Please Help !

I'm trying to setup a golden triangle with OS X 10.5.2 server, Windows 2003 AD and PPC/Intel clients running 10.4.11.
Their is no problem on the AD side - clients register in AD ok, network accounts log in, server is joined as well.
DNS - ping, changeip -checkhostname, lookups all work fine. DNS is hosted by Windows AD server. This LAN is not connected to the internet.
*I've joined clients to OD using the IP address or the name (polk.nwts.nara), they've authenticated OK when binding (set as required), but do not get their managed preferences.*
On the OD side, I created a group, set the preferences, and added the just joined workstation to the group. I rebooted the client, but none of the preferences showed up.
I opened a terminal window and did the following:
dscl localhost
ls
+this listed the directories+
cd LDAPv3
ls
+this listed my OD server+
cd myODserver
cd: *Invalid Path*
Starting Directory Access on the client, when I go to Search & Mappings and select a Record Type and Attribute, the search base is the same as on the server - cn=(record type), dc=polk,dc=nwts,dc=nara
Soooo - what am I missing? I believe this error is indicative of why the clients aren't getting their settings, but can't figure out where the problem is. BTW, I can start Workgroup Manager from a client and access OD.
Quick addenda:
Setup mac server using "advanced"
Joined it to AD domain, rebooted.
Made it an OD Master. Rebooted.
Kerberos is not started, have not added any records.
Created group and set managed preferences for this group.
Added clients by binding them to OD server. Added client to group.
Rebooted client.
Client authentication/contacts is AD first, then OD.

Assuming that you are on Windows, most likely your registry is pointing to an invalid 'My Documents' location.

Unable To Open Saved WI Reports in IE 9-Receive Invalid Path Error

I am unable to open any saved web intelligence report documents in Internet Explorer 9. When I select view or modify, the java report panel does not initiate but instead gives me an error stating "Invalid path /AnalyticalReporting/WebiView was requested". Everything works fine if I use Firefox 9. Is it a setting I need to change in internet explorer somewhere or is it a compaitibility issue?
I can create new web intelligence queries and reports in IE 9, but if I try to open a report that I saved, I get an error.

If you are using the older version of BOXI in that case IE 9 is not supported. Please check your Boxi version which supports IE 9 or not.

Error after deploying a JSP Application developed with jdeveloper

Running Oracle Enterpride Edition 8.1.7
including Oracle Http webserver
I'm trying to run a JSP application developed with Jdeveloper
through the oracle http server included in
Oracle Enterpride Edition 8.1.7
Think I have modified alle the .conf files correctly
I get the message :
"Error Message: java.lang.RuntimeException: JSP Registry could not locate runtime property file:ORDERS_ORDERS_PKG_ORDERS_PKGModule.properties"
Of course I know ,this file should be deployed as well. I have done this.
Any ideas what's wrong ?
Or can anyone point me to a (proper) document that decribes (correctly and completely) alle the steps that need to be done ?

BPEL: invalid namespace error with DB adapter polling and java embedding

I'm using bpel 10.1.3.1.0, and I'm experiencing the following problem: I'm am not able to use the SetTitle() function in a process which polls for records using the db adapter.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- I create a very simple bpel process which poll for records in a table.
- I deploy it, write manually a record in the polled table and the process start.
- I can see the record picked up through the visual flow in the console
- everything looks ok and the process ends correctly
- now I add a java embedding activities just after the receive
- I set the instance title like this: setTitle("Go");
- redeploy, write a record in the polled table and the process start.
- but the process ends in error with the following message "XMLDOMException has been thrown. invalid namespace for prefix xmlns"
And there is no way to make it work. Consider:
If I put the same java embedding activity in another process, for example a simple asynchronous process which just copy the input to the output, and I run from the console, the instance title is set as I want ("Go")
If I remove the three lines from the polling process
<bpelx:exec name="Java_Embedding_1" language="java" version="1.3">
<![CDATA[setTitle("Go");]]>
</bpelx:exec>
then the process is executed correctly again. I add them again and then namespace error.
Whatever statement I put in the java embedding activity (for example a string concatenation or even just a comment I have the same result: invalid namespace for prefix xmlns.
Does anybody has a suggestion to evercome the problem? I need to set the title because its a mess to find out which instance processed a specific record.

I made a lot of further tests, and I can say the problem is related only to the database adapter polling mechanism.
If I create an asynchronous process, with any kind of database activity (for example select) I can set the title normally.
If I create a process which start with database table polling, then I cannot use the java embedding.
try this:
- create BPEL empty project
- drop a database adapter service and follow the wizard:
- select a connection (I tried both oracle or sqlserver connection)
- select "poll for new or changed record"
- select any table empty or with few record inside (1 or 2)
- press next 4 times
- chose delete record after read (press next)
- chose order by "no ordering" in polling options (press next 2 times)
- now drop a receive activity on the process, and connect with the polling partner link
- drop a java embedding and write any valid java statement
- deploy; if the table is empty, write a recod in the table
- the process is instantiated, but the it fails in the --> receive <-- activity with "invalid namespace" error

Also note, that directories you want to have access to should be listed in UTL_FILE_DIR server parameter (you edit it in your init.ora and restart the server for changes to take effect.) Setting it to * (everything everywhere) is NOT recommended as it opens whole file system for access and may lead to security problems.

ASN Reference document number is invalid error with SA

1. Select SA(Scheduling Agreement) line
2. Click 'Create ASN '
3. After enter ship from location, ASN number, Error occur
"ASN ASN-1112, item 000001: Reference document number is invalid "
When we execute with PO, there are no error.
But with SA, there are always error.

Please enhance your master data acoringly. Afterwards you can select reference doc nomber as well as item number with the value help in the ASN creation screen. By that the reported error msg should not appear anymore.
Or Switch off PURCH_REF_MANDATORY validation check
i suggest you follow first method and complete the master data setup

Pipelined function with Union clause(Invalid Number(ORA-01722) error )

I have a pipelined function.
I am fetching the data with the use of a REF cursor.
The query has two part: query1 and query2
when I am opeing the cursor with query1 UNION query2,it is giving me Invalid Number(ORA-01722) error.
but when I open the cursor separately for query1 and query2,I am getting the resultset for each of the query.
query1 and query2 are running fine with UNION in the sql editor.
But,when I put them into two variables (var1 :='query1' and var2:='query2' and try to open the cursor with var1 UNION var2 , it's giving me the error.
But when I put query2 as 'Select ..... from dual' and then try to open the cursor for query1 UNION query2,
then getting the result of query1 and one extra row for query2(dual).
The FROM table set is same for query1 and query2..
can anyone please help me , why this Invalid Number(ORA-01722) error is coming.

Invalid Path error

Hi, I'm using iplanet, but I'm sure the principle is the same for any server, ie. tomcat etc.
Using struts, there are certain urls (usually concerning .do extensions) that cause the server to complain - Invalid path /bal/bla was requested. These are genuinely bad paths, but the kind of thing that a user may accidentally enter.
Is there somewhere (in the web.xml?) that I can specify a catch-all page that the server will redirect to in the case of such errors? Remember it's not an exception of any kind, so the usual exception page thing doesn't work.

Dissapointing not to get any responses, I thought this would probably be quite straightforward.
