Invalid path name

My old computer has microsoft money delux 2005 (backed up information on a stick) on my2nd new computer with windows 7 it has trial version of microsoft my money 5.
When I try to restore my backup to 2nd new computer from stick (I follow all on screen directions and even click on the save filed that is on my stick) a box appears saying" the path name is invalid, please use valid a path name"
Please help to correct this problem. I am using the same backup procedure that I have always used.

  • Invalid File Path Names in Mac OS X

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a Javascript in Mac OS X 10.4.11, however I am having some trouble with what characters are valid in file path names in Mac OS X. Does anybody know where I can get a list of invalid characters that cannot be used in a file name?
    Thanks,
    james

    Any character other than a colon can be used in the name, but additional characters and names may be handled differently if you are interacting with the UNIX shell in the script.

    Could be privs on OS or database level. Check and see what happens if grant yourself the DBA role. Check if the database software owner (ps -ef | grep pmon) is allowed to write in that directory and/or create a file in that directory. Does the OS make use of ACL's (and/or is, for instance Secure, Linux used)....?

    Dan,
    Did you follow the installation instructions in the Install.html file provided in the doc directory?
    While configuring the application, did the following statement go through successfully :
    SQL>@<SAMPLE_HOME>/sql/install.sql
    Else, please post the error message.
    This SQL script creates the '/cmshome' folder.

    Hope you can help me out here. I get a very confusing message during trying to FTP a directory to the /i/ files in XE. The connectiopn works just fine, but when I try to send something to the folder I get the following message:

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

    I haven't checked the docs, but it does remind me of the PL/SQL steps required to do similar things. Maybe you need to mkdir first (could it be XMKD? See below...)

  • XML Basic Demo - ORA-31001: Invalid resource handle or path name

    I have been attempting to install the xml basic demo into Oracle 9.2.0.3. The initial setup appears to go OK, but upon attempting to run '1.1 Make Directories' as the demo user (in my case: xdbdemouser/xdbdemouser), I get the following error message:
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-31001: Invalid resource handle or path name "/home/XDBDEMOUSER/"
    ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XDB", line 168
    ORA-06512: at line 5
    If I run this script as system or xdb, it appears to work OK. Obviously, the xdbdemouser exists in the database....
    Can anyone help ??
    thx - matt

    Did you run 0.0 and 0.1 before running this step. You must run resetDemo before starting the demo for the first time.

  • X79A-GD65 (8D) MSIHQ error 654 Specified path name or file name is invalid.

    Hello,
    First, excuse my poor english...
    I would like to flash the 7760 v1.8 bios of my motherboard to install windows 8.1 on a crucial M500 480Go (yet, installing W8.1 after connect M500 on SATA1 6Go next to my M4 SSD with W7, causes errors during installation and I guess it is because i think the SSD is not correctly recognized by the bios and Windows 8.1 requires bios and ME updates.)
    I download the last bios on MSI site (http://us.msi.com/product/mb/X79AGD65_8D.html#/?div=BIOS) and install MSIHQ Tool 1.25g software to make an USB stick for flashing as describe here : https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=116721.0
    But when i point on the archive (3.1. Method 1: Processing a BIOS Archive Directly (ZIP/RAR)), MSIHQ can not open the archive and tell me: ERROR 654 Specified path name or file name is invalid.
    Yet when I use the same method to flash my bios from 1.6 to 1.8, it had gone well ... What to do?  Should I use the method described on the download page: http://fr.msi.com/files/pdf/Bios_update_SOPAll.pdf ?
    Thank you and good day.

    No, no...  I know what a dual boot if it is what you say, I did it for years. I also made two differents drives with two separate systems boot : a Hdd with xp and boot.ini , and another with windows 7 and mbr. After installing the first OS first on a disc, you disconnect this HDD and connecting the second to receive the second OS. There is no dual boot because I did not boot on the same partition then let me choose between 2 OS placed on two differents drives or two partitions, but I boot well on two differents disks , each with their own boot files this just saves me the dual boot which I find too heavy. On a Gigabyte X48T -DQ6 with the F12 key , you choose what HDD boot . Same I think with the F11 key X79A - gd65 : "Press DEL key to enter Setup Menu , F11 to enter Boot Menu" and then you choose between booting on either disc. In the case cited above , it is then that we arrive on the mbr of windows 7 on a disc or boot.ini windows xp on the other. So you do not answer my question, it seems to me :-) I wonder if I'm clear, there ...;-)
    thanks very much...

  • Cannot edit wiki pages-- Exception message: Invalid field name

    We have migrated from one Sharepoint 2010 environment to another Sharepoint 2010 environment and only wanted to preserve a few sites, mostly Enterprise Wiki Sites.
    We have imported 5 total Enterprise Wiki Sites, all of which point to particular Term Sets in Managed Metadata.
    2 wikis are pointed to term set A, 2 wikis are pointed to term set B and one wiki is pointed to term set C.
    One of the wikis pointed to term set A is working, and one is not
    The malfunctioning wiki has the following symptom:
    Whenever you try to edit a page (new or existing) and save your changes, regardless of whether it is tagged, you cannot save your changes.  When you try, you get the error below.
    Error
    Failed to get value of the "Wiki Categories" column from the "Managed Metadata" field type control. See details in log. Exception message: Invalid field name. {f863c21f-5fdb-4a91-bb0c-5ae889190dd8}

    To me, it looks like there is an invalid URL, since it gives the URL path, and then there is a space, and then it also has a relative URL to /wiki/adminwiki/pages ...is this normal?
    Any ideas on how to fix this is great.  I don't think it has anything to do with the Managed Metadata service or the Term Store since the other wiki site (pointing to the same exact Term Set) is working normally with no problems.

    To solve the problem make sure that the template you are using for the current page (with errors) has the same content type as the page. In example of the Enterprise Wiki page, I forgot to set the content type to an Enterprise Wiki page on a custom page
    template I just added to the Master pages.
    So what I had to do is:
    go to properties of the page with errors described above and set it to be
    Enterprise Wiki page
    go to master pages and set the custom template to be of the same type, Enterprise Wiki page
    That solved the problem

  • Invalid Path for target file, check if connector is deployed correctly

    Hi all,
    I've got a tricky problem over here: we are using OMB scripts for generating simple extract mappings that just copy data from an oracle source table to a flat file on a directory. Up untill now ( with version 11.1 ) this did not pose any troubles, but now we are using 11.2 for the first time and we don't get the mappings to execute. Generating, validating and deploying all works fine, only executing fails with the error: "Invalid Path for target file, check if connector is deployed correctly". It ends to rapidly, so I'm assuming the problem lies in the repository and not on the database itself.
    I'm pretty sure all locations are defined as needed, flat file operator in the mapping has correct location, the flat file module has the same location,...
    I tried almost everything: recreate oracle module, recreate flat file module, unregister and recreate db location, unregister and recreate dir location, recreate mapping and flat file, export/import...
    The strange thing is, I was able to execute a mapping once. Although it ended with an error (due to a function in the mapping), it created the file correctly. After that I needed to update the directory path of the target location and from then on, I always got the error above, and I don't see a good reason.
    Any suggestions??
    Tnx,
    Michel

    That error is displayed when the generated code fails to execute with one of the following database errors;
    UTL_FILE.INVALID_PATH
    UTL_FILE.INVALID_OPERATION
    UTL_FILE.INVALID_FILEHANDLE
    So its worth checking the generated code for that map and searching for the code around UTL_FILE.FOPEN and seeing what the path and the file name in the code are. Maybe the file is created with permissions such that it can be created but not then re-written and its an OS permissions thing (such as UMASK settings).
    Cheers
    David

  • Invalid Object Name When Executing from Report Manager

    I ran some code to create a modified view of ExecutionLog3 on a SQL Server 2012 instance.  The ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB were transferred from a 2005 instance and are still on that compatibility level. After creating the new view, I
    created a report in SSDT and it runs fine.  I deployed the dataset followed by the report.  I went to Report Manager to test it and the report fails with the following:
    An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
    The execution failed for the shared data set
    'ExecutionLog'. (rsDataSetExecutionError)
    Query execution failed for dataset ''. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
    Invalid object name 'ExecutionLog3_Modified'.
    The code for the view is below and it came from MSSQLTips.  Why does the report run fine from SSDT and fail in Report Manager?
    USE [ReportServer]
    GO
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO

    Hi Lee,
    According to your description, you can't process the dataset when viewing the report on report server. Right?
    In this scenario, as you can see the dataset name in error message is empty, and it says "Invalid Object Name". Because you have already created a view in your database. When you run this report again, this query be executed again so that you can
    not create another view with same name. So you just need to query the view directly when creating dataset.
    Select * from ExecutionLog3_Modify
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • 400   Bad Request - Invalid path /b2c/secure was requested

    Hi,
    I have two jsp pages. first page is included as a link in one of the inc.jsp in B2C application.
    This page has few input fields and upon submit button. I get error message
    400 Bad Request - Invalid path /b2c/secure was requested
    the action tag written in config.xml is like:
    <action path="/b2c/xyz" type="package_name.xyz">
              <forward name="success" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
              <forward name="failure" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
              </action>
    in web.xml:
    <servlet>
            <servlet-name>Page1.jsp</servlet-name>
            <jsp-file>/b2c/Page1.jsp</jsp-file>
            </servlet>
        <servlet>
            <servlet-name>Page2.jsp</servlet-name>
            <jsp-file>/b2c/Page2.jsp</jsp-file>
        </servlet>
    Please let me know if you could help me with the needful. Appreciate your earliest response.

    Hi Bharathi,
    If you are embedding a link in jsp where you are directly calling another jsp, its always better to code it like this
    <a href="<isa:webappsURL name="/b2c/Page1.jsp"/>" target="_new">
    There is no need to make any changes in web.xml file.
    If in your inc.jsp you want to call an action class on click on a link than call a javascript method onclick on that link
    test() is a javascript method where you will call your action class like
    function test() {
           isaTop().parent.location.href="<isa:webappsURL name='/b2c/xyz1.do'/>";
    Changes in config.xml should be like
    <action path="/b2c/xyz1" type="package_name.xyz">
              <forward name="success" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
              <forward name="failure" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
    </action>
    Make use of "<isa:webappsURL name='/test/test.jsp'/>" and it will work. Hope this helps you.

    Arshi
